Caleb and Willow Park were sitting on the couch watching their one year old daughter, playing with her building blocks. Sure, it was just a baby playing with her toys, but the loving parents always loved to watch their daughter learning, no matter what.
"Hey Kaitlyn, think you can try and build the Owl House?" Caleb suggested.
Willow chuckled. "Honey, that's a little too advanced for her."
"She can understand us." Caleb pointed out.
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean she can suddenly build the Owl House with a few building blocks." Willow said.
"She could, you don't know." Caleb retorted.
"I doubt a baby at one year old could build a tower or house that advanced." Willow said. "I mean, I could only get a few blocks when I was her age."
"While I could assemble and disassemble a staff when I was one." Caleb retorted. "And talk."
"So could I." Willow pointed out.
"Do you think Kaitlyn will start talking?" Caleb asked.
"I don't know." Willow said.
But when they turned to their daughter, they noticed she was looking at them with curiosity. She removed the pacifier from her mouth and started to make a noise like she was trying to say a word. But this little act of adorableness didn't go unnoticed by her parents, whom began to realise what she was trying to do.
"D…D…D….D…D…D…D…"
Caleb and Willow gasped. "Is she…."
"She's about to say her first words." Willow squealed. "Come on Kaitlyn, say mommy."
"What?! She's going to say Daddy."
"No, she's going to say Mommy."
"M….M….M…M…M…M…M…"
"Oh no young lady, say Daddy." Caleb encouraged his daughter.
"Say Mommy, Kaitlyn." Willow said, encouraging her daughter.
"D…M..D…M…D…D…"
"Say Daddy."
"Say Mommy."
"Or maybe papa."
"Or mama."
"D…D….M…D…M…D…" Caleb and Willow leaned in closer to their daughter, whom was smiling with excitement. "Dadmy!" Kaitlyn exclaimed. "Dadmy! Dadmy! Dadmy! Dadmy!"
Willow and Caleb were surprised with what their daughter was yelling. A mixture of what they wanted to hear.
But they just looked to each other and shrugged their shoulders. "Eh, close enough." They said simultaneously.
Then, Caleb looked at what his daughter had built with her building blocks and was surprised. "Wow, guess one year olds can build advanced models."
