Lily's Dreams

"Lily! Lily! Are you alright?" James ran to the beautiful red head that had just tripped and fell over her own feet.

"James, I'm fine, I'm just a little light headed," Lily stammered getting up.

"Maybe you need a nap. Go to the common room and sleep by the fire."

"I think maybe I just need fresh air with being cooped up in the castle for so long," Lily said as she stumbled again. "Ok, sleep it is."

"Ok, we'll be out by our usual tree if you wake up and need us." James explained.

Lily reached the Gryffindor common room in a daze. It had gotten worse. She could barely walk let alone see. She had barely gotten to the couch when she was sound asleep, dreaming.

It was fuzzy at first. But it got clearer as it progressed. Focusing in on one lone boy in the sea of people. Jet-black hair, glasses, lean figure. 'Aw, another dream about James.' She thought. Then he looked up at her with red-rimmed emerald eyes. He was crying. Who was he? He was sitting at the same tree the marauders always sat at. The same tree he said they would be! But, it couldn't be James, yes he had the same flyaway hair, the same look but there's no way it was James. His bang were even dripping with sweat the way James' does after a Quidditch match. Wait, what's that as the picture got clearer…a…scar.

Lily lurched up. She was stunned. Who was this boy? She decided to race to James to ask him about the boy. And if she were lucky, maybe the boy would be there.

She ran outside forgetting it was the middle of winter, to find a newly fallen coat of snow on the ground.

'This isn't right, in my dream it was sunny and it looked hot.'

As she reached the tree, she found only James, Sirius, Peter, and Lupin.

"Lily! Where is your coat? Its freezing out here, and you're in short sleeves!" James exclaimed.

"Oh…uh…it's…I forgot."

"Peter, why don't you let her borrow yours and you can go get another?" Sirius said giving him a hearty pat on the back.

"Ok, " He mumbled taking off his coat. "I'll be back."

"Thankyou, Peter."

"So, Lily, are you feeling better?" James asked concerned.

Yea, Lily, you still look a bit pale." Sirius admitted.

"Umm…well…James, have you been here the whole time?" Lily questioned.

"Yea, all four of us have. Why?"

"No reason…Well, ok. I had a dream about a boy."

"Was it me again? " James interrogated arrogantly.

"No. Well, he looked like you. But he had green eyes and a scar like lightening on his forehead." Lily explained.

"Wow! Lily! You had a vision! About your's and James' son!" Sirius joked.

"Its not funny. He was sitting at this tree, crying."

"Wow," was all James could say.

"Maybe it's just your mind playing tricks on you." Lupin spoke up.

"It couldn't be. I felt a connection; I felt his pain."

"Maybe it was your son then. And maybe your only connection to him is through your dreams. But it would have to be pretty far into the future though. Do you think, if we're right, he's having dreams about you?" Lupin pondered.

" I dunno. Maybe. Anything is possible."
