Two Worlds, Two Souls

Chapter 18: It's a Secret

Angel's Point of View:

You… have… got… to… be… kidding… me…

I had frozen in my spot, deathly afraid of what would happen if the skeleton below me had woken from his slumber.

Sans and I had agreed the night before that we'd share his bed, putting up a wall of pillows and blankets between us to keep from touching each other since our siblings would notice if we weren't sleeping in the room together. We could hear them playing with each other for most of the night, enjoying what time they could in Papyrus' room until punishment started for them in the following morning.

However, I was in quite the dilemma…

Somehow… in the midst of the night, the barrier between us had been demolished. I was curled up into Sans' side, practically on top of him from the way my leg hooked over his and how my fingers were curled into his clavicle bone, arm resting on his ribs. Sans was still deeply asleep. His snores were proof of that. However, I was somewhat trapped since the single arm that I was laying upon of his was wrapped around my waist. His fingers had managed to shimmy under the edge of my sleep top and were planted on my skin, his light touch leaving a very warm feeling in my chest.

Shit… what I wouldn't give for his ability to teleport out of this situation!

I tried to take a calming breath before I'd dare to move away from him. The last thing I wanted was for Sans to see me sleeping on top of him and the two of us in a compromising situation.

Determined to escape, I carefully started by removing my leg first from is body. Sans hardly moved as I did and I angled my hips to move away entirely from his lower half. I then released my fingers from his collarbone before I had to deal with the hardest part, how to get him to let go of me?

Gently I reached back and touched his fingers, slowly pulling them away from me before weaving my body out of his hold. I flinched when Sans suddenly snored loudly and there seemed to be a break in his sleeping. I saw the hollow blacks of his eye sockets have a glint of light in them before they faded and he returned to sleep. I carefully then placed his hand on his ribs, slid off the bed, before I placed a blanket back on top of him.

Sans moved again then and I jumped back, worried he wake, even though I'd escaped with no problems. I saw him scratch at one of his ribs before he curled into the warmth where I originally was and soon feel into slumber again. I placed a hand over my heart to still it from bursting through my chest as I slowly stepped backward and slipped out through his door.

Once I was safely outside of Sans' room, I took notice of the way that everything seemed to look, when I actually wasn't focused on cleaning like last time. Being up on the second floor, I was able to look out over the railing to the living room below. A fireplace was against the sidewall where the embers of the previous night's fire was going. The fireplace seemed to be the most extensive feature in this location to contain the flames from the large pieces of stone and the gate before it to keep the flames from getting onto the hardwood floors. To keep the home from getting too cold, I hurried down the stairs and grabbed wood from the box next to the fire to place inside, which the coals quickly burned into and flames came to life. The fire felt lovely against my skin. I hovered there for a moment before turning to look about the home on my own.

As I stood in the living room space, I could see the old, worn couch against the cream-colored walls below where the railing to the second floor seemed to be. It was a rich forest green color; something that seemed very old and most likely needed a refresh with its upholstery if I was the owner and had the time.

When I touched the fabric, it felt soft and a very well loved couch it was. It seemed it had been well cherished over the years by the brothers and the members of their families to be in the condition it was in.

Across from the couch stood an old-fashioned TV, a simple one that had a VHS box on top of it and a repaired looking Xbox controller and consul attached as well. Old games were organized in a box next to the screen and two remotes were available as well. It seemed that at least one if not both of the brothers were avid video gamers… That would make Frisk quite happy and keep her busy when she wasn't studying, if it wasn't for any of her practices of academics or magic that I'd be teaching her.

I moved into the kitchen next, not truly having much of a look at it the prior time I was here. The kitchen seemed to be the older fashioned room in the house. A checkered tile floor with wooden cabinets blared at me, though it felt very homey. The only piece that seemed out of place was the countertops that seemed abnormally tall for only that of Papyrus, even my head only just came up to the counter top. I could see a step stood to the side that was tucked away at the end of the tall sink for those of us that were shorter than the abnormally tall skeleton.

"Yip!" I turned my head to follow the sound to the cabinet below the tall sink. Upon opening the door, I saw a small pomeranian gnawing on a bone under the cabinet. The pup glanced up at me and seemed to freeze under my gaze before continuing on. I'd never seen a pet down in the underground. I'd seen plenty of people down here that had dog like characteristics, but I guess some animals had made it down into the underground as well.

"You damn dog!" I jumped just as I was going to reach and pet the pup under the cabinet when I heard Papyrus' voice behind me. I leapt out of the way, the younger skeleton came barreling forward and the dog hopped out of its hiding place to avoid the diving skeleton. Papyrus landed in the cupboard while the dog gleefully took off up the stairs and headed toward what appeared to be Sans' room while Papyrus was left on his own to escape. "You mangy mutt!"

"Papyrus?" I slowly approached the tall skeleton while he detangled his pajama clothed self from under the counter.

"Oh! Miss Angel!" Papyrus managed to pull himself out of the tight spot before landing on his behind, looking back at me with a bright grin for so early in the morning. "Good morning! I hope you slept well?"

"Yes, thank you for allowing us to stay with you." I extended a hand to help him to his feet. Papyrus eagerly accepted it and I yanked him to his feet, which he wasn't expecting when he landed safely on them. "Oh wowie! You're really strong!"

"Have to be, Papyrus." I stretched my arms over my head before I moved to where the refrigerator sat in the corner. "Do you mind if I see what I could grab for breakfast?"

"Certainly Hu- I mean, Miss Angel." Papyrus stumbled over his words as he remembered I preferred my name to be said rather than my breed. "I believe there still is some oatmeal or cereal you could have, I will go shopping today after my patrol."

I blinked at him. "Patrol?"

"Yes! For other humans just like yourself and Little Frisk!" Papyrus puffed out his chest and proudly placed a fist before it. "It's my job! Or it will be once I'm eighteen! Right now Sans is the only one who's truly signed up for it, but my birthday will be along shortly and then I can sign up as well while Undyne trains me to be in the royal guard!"

"So… sentry would be the beginning steps then?"

"Yes! Sentry would be first level. Unfortunately, it is the lowest rank and it is required of us to keep constant watch for either humans that drop down here or monsters that have sadly decided to walk a much darker path. Should anything turn array, we must report it then to any of the higher ups above us. While we are taught combat, many sentries that linger around the underground are simply there to report, not to engage."

I nodded slowly to Papyrus' explanation before sitting at the table, leaning comfortably into my hand while listening to him. "At what stage then would you be?"

"The next step up is where we are expected to take more physical action." Papyrus joined me at the table, a cup of milk he'd poured for himself before him. "The watchmen would be next. They are organized groups of two of three that patrol the more vacant locations and least populated areas. They also tend to help out in the community while they patrol and look out for trouble. They're a group of mostly canines from the Snowdin area that I'm sure you faced when you first arrived. They tend to spend an awful lot of time in Grillby's when off duty with Sans."

"Oh, yes… I think I've seen a couple of them, but never a large group of them together I'd have to say."

"That would make sense; they take their jobs much more seriously than Sans." That brought a look of disdain to the younger brother's face, which he quickly tried to hide. "Anyway, the next level up is the keepers. They are defenders of the more populated areas of the underground, such as Hotland and the Capital. They are the next line of defense before the royal guards."

"And now I believe you've said that the royal guards are the most powerful monsters, right?"

"Yes, there's only a small group of them, and they tend to go around signally, but many of them are incredibly strong! Very few people can best them other than Undyne and the jury or judge!"

I blinked at Papyrus in confusion. "I knew about Undyne, you said she's the captain of the royal guard, but I've never heard of the jury and judge. Who are they?"

"Oh yes! They're not talked about as much, but the jury and judge used to be members of the royal guard or are powerful members of the monster community who work more behind the scenes and directly for the king. No one knows who they are except for select people; their identities are kept secret from everyone except the king. The jury and judge are used in cases that resolve around monsters who have gone astray and who need to be judged for their actions. The jury and judge hide themselves among the public, so they essentially could be anyone. It's also said that they are as strong or are stronger than Undyne!"

"Really?"

That didn't sound good... especially not for Frisk and I.

We would need to truly be careful how we appear to others down here so this "judge and jury" didn't look into us anymore then I'm sure they already were.

"As cool as they are… I don't feel like I'd keep that secret very well… but still being the royal guard is an amazing accomplishment!" Papyrus carried on regardless as I had my inner turmoil. "I've always wanted to be in the royal guard since I was a baby bone. Sans has been helping me with training until I was a teen and then I met Undyne!"

"That's a great goal Papyrus. I bet you'll make it, just keep doing your best." I smiled at him, trying to keep back the panic as I questioned him more. "But what's the difference between the judge and jury? Is there much of one?"

"The judge heads the jury, leads them through the case and is the one to carry out the punishment of the accused should they be deemed guilty." I nearly squealed in fright when I heard Sans' voice and turned to see him in the doorway, grinning at us. "The jury instead is a group of powerful monsters that are used more in containment magical types to keep the accused from harmin' others while the trial is underway until they can reach a decision for the accused. It's been a while since the judge has been called on, and no one's seen their face."

"That's so cool!" Frisk rounded the corner and latched onto Sans' arm, suddenly appearing, yanking on him in anticipation. "Tell more of the mysterious 'judge'!"

"Ain't much more ta tell there, Kiddo." Sans reached over to ruffle her hair while she squeaked in happiness.

"Awe…"

"Alright everyone, let's go ahead and sit down and hash out a few thin's." Sans was the first to lead us over to the table once everyone had woken up. Of course, he and my sister had been the last since Frisk had slept in to avoid my early morning wrath during both her and Papyrus' punishments for fighting out in the middle of the snowstorm.

"Hash out, Brother?" Papyrus tilted his head in confusion as he took the seat beside Sans, now that he wasn't blazing with anger like he was the night before.

"Yep, we gotta come up with new identities ta keep Angel and Frisk safe while they stay with us so Undyne or anyone else who wants ta hurt them won't find out there here Pap." Sans leaned into his arm that rested on the table before looking at Frisk and I. "We need ta give you two some new names so that we can talk about you without having others worried. We'll also need ta make up a cover story as ta why you won't show your faces if you ever meet one of them in person."

"Oh what a smart idea, Brother!" Papyrus agreed quickly.

"We get our own monster like names?" Frisk snickered beside me. "That's cool!"

"It would be very helpful in the case that we travel or meet those that come to Snowdin who are a bit more opposed to humans compared to those that live here." I nodded my head to the others while I sat with some tea. Taking a quick sip, I swallowed the hot drink before focusing back on Sans. "However, what would be a true 'monster' name we could use? I haven't the faintest idea of what that would be."

"Well, I've been thinkin' about that, and I figured, why not use a name similar to mine and Paps?"

I raised and eye brow at him. "A name similar to your own? Like what? Sam?"

Sans snickered at that. "No Precious, I mean a font name."

Frisk blinked wildly at him. "Font?"

"Yeah," Sans shrugged while he pulled out a book from his coat pocket. "All skeletons have font names, kinda a tradition among our family tree. Our father was named Windings while our mother was Lucida. All different varieties of fonts, based on what font we speak in."

Frisk looked so confused that steam began to pour from her ears and she smacked her head on the table. "It's too early for a history lesson!"

"I'm afraid I'm a bit lost too Sans," I hesitantly told him, though watched as it seemed not to bother him as I told him that. "Can you go into more detail?"
"Certainly," the skeleton did as such and opened the book that seemed to contain a different type of language and pictures. Hand written notes also seemed to line the borders of the pages that Sans flipped through. "Skeletons are the only species of monster that has a secondary language, called 'cipher'. Now before ya ask any questions," Sans stopped both Frisk and I from saying anything with a hand raised to stop us. "It's a language that we can both see and hear. We see the words appear in the air and they appear in their own font style, which gives the parents an idea of what to name their child when they are born. So, the idea is for me and Pap to use this here book to find out what names would be best for ya two."

"Okay…" I hesitated, but Sans had never steered me wrong before, so I refused to allow myself to be judgmental. "What do you guys need for us to do then? What would help you best?"

Papyrus hummed for a moment while he placed a hand to his chin in thought. "Just talking should be enough, right Brother?"

"Yeah, that way we can see the words that come out of yer mouth and be able ta reference them ta the ones we have in this book. There are a lot of styles, so it might take a minute." Sans focused on me specifically. "We'll need only one of ya two ta talk at a time. We don't wanna mess it up while we research, so we'll need one of ya to essentially 'word vomit', capiche?"

"I'm sure we could." I turned to Frisk who nodded enthusiastically. "Who would you like to go first?"

"Brother, I'd like to try this, can't I?" Papyrus asked, gently reaching for the book from his older brother.

"Sure Pap," Sans handed it over without another word. "And let's… do Frisk first."

"I can talk forever!" My little sister grinned as she turned to face me. "I never did get a chance to tell you about when I hung out with Milly and MK! Once I'm not grounded anymore, can I hang out with them again?"

I almost went to respond to her verbally, but I then remembered I wasn't allowed to speak while Papyrus and Sans worked. Sans held a boney finger to the front of his teeth as a reminder, but grinned nonetheless while he watched over Papyrus' shoulder. I nodded to my sister instead to avoid talking and not mess anything up.

"Yes!" Frisk pumped her fist while she eagerly bounced in her seat. "I'm so excited, it's gonna be great to hang out with them again! It was so much fun, you know? I got to play with kids my own age and feel really like a kid… I hope when I saw them all that time ago isn't the only time. Didn't that lady you were speaking to say that they lived in town?"

I nodded again to her and stayed silent while Frisk began to endlessly rant off facts about the two friends that she meant that day. Milly had been the biological daughter of Maria, from what my sister told me while MK had been adopted due to a stressful and terrible situation. I could only assume it had to do with the factor of why he didn't have any arms.

He seemed well adapted from what I'd seen of him. His sister seemed to hover around him quite a bit and Frisk picked up a bit of that habit as well. I remember that MK had fallen on his face a time or two during the last time when they were together and the girls flocked to him, helping him up even as he was struggling to do it on his own.

Maria had gone only so far into detail about her son's problems, not that I could think negatively on it. She hardly knew me and it was none of my business as to what she told me or not. It wasn't like her child was hurting my sister, otherwise I just wouldn't let them play together. I never would assume he'd do that, not after all the kindness we'd seen in these last few weeks of living in the underground.

I had to blink for a second… it would nearly be November soon…

My mind instantly flooded to other thoughts then what my sister was ranting off. Being a good older sibling, I knew mostly when to actually listen in and when I could filter off into my own head and still know when to nod my head at appropriate moments.

My mind wandered to dates. I couldn't help but think of the fact that I'd be twenty that year. Already a fifth of a century had past, yet it felt like an eternity during the last four years that we'd been on our own. I had led Frisk from town to town to protect her from the authorities and from being caught and send off to any sort of orphanage or being grabbed up by any of the other six houses. I remember the days where we couldn't even go outside and get food for ourselves while we hid away. Days where we starved, days where I couldn't provide a safe location. They were frightening days when we lived above on the surface as a defensive teen taking care of a young child.

The first days had been the worst; Frisk hadn't known what was going on while I led her to abandoned homes or the large chunks of woods to hide from the public that would likely reveal us. We couldn't afford to do such a thing and be separated. I wouldn't let that happen to her. Eventually I had to tell her that we were running to stay together and that bad people were looking for us.

Never did I tell her the true reason we left. I couldn't bear to see the horror on her face of what I'd done to keep her safe…

"Sis?" I blinked from my haze and met the gaze of said sister who looked at me worriedly. "What's wrong?"

I hesitated to speak. Wouldn't I get in the way of the two skeletons who were helping us so much already? I glanced over at Papyrus and Sans, who both had stopped their work to look at me as well. Both of them had looks of intrigue as well as slight worry.

"I was calling you and you weren't listening to me." Frisk tried again to communicate. "Sans said it was okay to talk now. Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, just remembering things." I sighed.

"Things?" Frisk tried to press.

"Things from a long time ago I'd rather not talk about Frisky." I withdrew a bit, refusing to answer, but I did take Frisk's hand into my own and begin to play with it much like I'd done in the restaurant.

Frisk didn't say anything to that, but from the corner of my eye I saw her look over to the skeleton brothers. "So, what's my name?"

"Took us a while to find it Frisk, yours was alphabetically at the back." Sans glanced at his younger brother with a small glint to his eye sockets. "You wanna tell her, Bro?"

"Yes, your name is Sitka!"

"Sit…ka?" Frisk hesitated as she heard the word for the first time and it made me lift my head as well. "That's what my font looks like?"

"Yes!" Papyrus eagerly turned around the book they were using that had many symbols that neither of us could read before we saw the translation for us written out in the proper font. "What do you think, Little Human?"

"Pap… we talked about this." Sans sternly spoke to Papyrus who once again didn't use our names, instead calling us humans.

"I'm kinda bummed it doesn't look very special, but I bet Angel's will look cool!" Frisk turned to face me. "Come on Sis! It's your turn!"

A snicker left me, but Frisk never pulled her hand away while I played with her fingers. "Do I really have to go?"

Frisk nodded eagerly while she saw the brothers pull back the book to look through it again for me. She refused to speak, giving them a chance to study my visual font.

"What should I talk about?"

Frisk merely shrugged her shoulders, again, unable to verbally give me an answer.

"Well, that's helpful." I rolled my eyes at her before I had to think about what I wanted to talk about when a thought quickly struck me. "You know, I'm going to tell you how you got your nickname. I don't think I've ever told you that story."

Frisk's eyes widened and I saw her struggle to keep herself from squealing in delight. She raced to cover her mouth while her other free hand was used to appease me.

"This happened back when I was a bit younger then yourself Frisky, I think it was… seven at the time. Mom had just told us that after nearly eight years, she was pregnant again and I was going to have a little sibling. She was so worried that she wasn't going to make it full term with you that she took any and every medication she could to make sure you stayed healthy and safe. She cut down on the work she did, tried to stay as stress free as possible. Once you got to be about six months along did she finally believe she was in the home stretch and able to have you."

"Mom and Dad had been thinking forever about what to call you, and when they told me the name they decided on, I have to admit I was a bit disappointed, so I made it my mission at the time to come up with a cool nickname that you deserved so I wouldn't have to use your real name."

"After a lot of deliberating among me and my stuffed animals, I came to the decision that Frisky was a cool name, that a staff member had told me as a joke really… Never did that person think it would stick so well."

At this point, my sister was struggling so hard not to bust a lung at the story, even Papyrus was snickering to the side with Sans, chuckling while he still was trying to research for my name.

"I raced back to Mom and Dad to tell them that I wanted to name you 'Frisky' instead of your boring name they'd given you. And at first, I never thought I'd seen Mom go so pale, Dad actually had to catch her when she fainted!"

"Dad tried to stay as calm as possible while he asked me for who gave me the idea of that name. When I told him who it was, Dad set Mom down on their bed before he stormed off. I could hear screaming off in the distance. When Dad came back, his face was so red, both from anger and from embarrassment, he spent forever trying to tell me not to use that name or why we couldn't." I winked at my sister. "But he failed at explaining it to me, so I just started to call you 'Frisky' every chance I could. It took Mom nearly a month to get used to it and not faint whenever I came over to feel you in her tummy."

"You wouldn't believe it back then, but over time, they fell in love with the name too, or they just gave up and accepted that I was going to call you that for the rest of your life. But it stuck, you're name. They started to call you it before long too, and then it was just your nickname. No one called you your real name anymore, and Frisk was your real name more than anything at that point."

"Now I wanna know what yer real names are." Sans commented while his finger seemed to hover over another part of the book.

I snorted. "Only when it's a cold day in hell."

Sans gave me a deadpan look. "Precious, it's a blizzard outside and yer already below the ground."

"Fine! Scorching day in hell!"

"Just gotta head over to Hotland."

"Ugg…"

"Forget your marital fight; I wanna know what Angel's name is!" Frisk leapt up from her chair then and hurried over to see where Sans' hand was. He focused in on a unique type of writing that had larger size and resembled cursive.

"Ravie…" The name left my lips as soon as I saw it that seemed to leave a tingly sensation in the back of my mind when I heard it.

I liked it… a lot.

"Your name is so cool Angel!" Frisk jumped around the table to look at it, crawling up in and on top of Sans to get to the information while the older skeleton watched her with wide eye sockets. "It's so fancy and pretty! Just like you!"

"Well, you've always been more a simple solution, not much about complication Frisky." I smiled over at her while she sat on Sans' leg to look over the book. "Perhaps that's why your name is a bit more like a standardized font?"

"Maybe…"

"So, we now have names for you both." Papyrus stood then and grabbed some cereal to eat for breakfast. "Ravie and Sitka Gaster… I think it sounds quite fitting for the two of you! And now it's safe to talk about you if Sans or I travel to the Capitol, Hotlands or Waterfall! Even Undyne won't know if we use those names!"

"Yeah Bro, pretty cool." Sans chuckled before he patted Frisk's side. "Alright, Kiddo, you gotta let me up or I'm not getting any breakfast."

"Awe…"

I fought the urge to smack my face at my sister's antics. "Frisk, aren't you getting a tad big to be sitting in people's laps?"

"But Angel… it's fun! And Sans' jacket is cozy…"

I rose from my seat and crossed my arms at her. "You sound like you need another nap."

She looked up at me and raised her arms like a toddler. "Yes please."

"Frisk…" I gave her a look while she continued up her act.

"Please Sissy?"

I couldn't stop the irritated look from appearing on my face while trying to avoid laughing. She needs to be punished, Angel, remember that. Don't reward her yet. She's trying to crawl out of the problem.

"If you hadn't been so incredibly ridiculous yesterday, perhaps I would have agreed to your silly desires. You'll just have to sit out your punishment before I agree to anything like that."

Frisk instantly dropped the cute act and pouted, folding her arms and muttering angry words while still seated on Sans' lap. "Dang it…"

"Yep, now move so Sans can get breakfast."

She huffed and narrowed her eyes at me. "Make me."

Sans and Papyrus both turned back to us as we two females of the house fought for dominance. One quick look between us showed me the glow in Sans' eye where I had to march forward and stop him. My hand landed on his shoulder before he looked up at me with a startled glance.

"Don't use your magic; she'll just enjoy it being thrown around." Frisk snarled angrily at me, not pleased with the way she wasn't getting away with things before she yelped and was pulled from Sans.

Both males looked on in surprise as a chain had grabbed my sister's wrist and held her in the air. Her pissy mood evaporated instantly once she was in the air and yanked down into the dining room chair. She hardly had a second to move before her arms and legs were bound to said chair. The chains all contained a red glow and came from my soul that connected to it as well as my sister.

My sister attempted to fight the binds of her chair by using her own magic, but little to no practice and being much younger left her unable too.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!" Frisk quickly tried to shake the binding as quickly as she could to escape, however she wasn't fast enough for me to grab her by the back of the chair and haul her upstairs to where Papyrus' room was. A swift bump of my hip had his door open and setting her on the floor with access to his computer that he'd showed me the night before with undertube, a website for videos that monsters upload.

Frisk hadn't been very smart to tell me what songs she hadn't liked at all the night before.

"Fluffy bunny! Fluffy bunny! Yay! Yay! Yay!"

"NO! I'm sorry! I don't wanna listen to this crap!" Frisk thrashed around while I put the video on loop and set her before it before walking out the door to join the males on the first floor who watched the show before I sunk against the wall, ignoring Frisk's blood curdling screams from above.

"Sorry guys… preteen drama." I rubbed my temples as I tried to milk away the headache from that event. "She'll calm down and be more like herself once she gets it through her thick skull not to test me…"

"I shoulda known ya wouldn't have hurt her…" Sans sighed before he slid down next to me. "But damn Angel… is that yer magic?"

"Yes, determination magic tends to take the form of chains for my family." I sighed and allowed for Sans and Papyrus to see the densely wrapped chains around my skin. "Normally I just use it as a protective and defense measure, a second coating of across my skin. It's great for keeping attacks from hitting us or giving us that edge of evading. It gives us more power, or at least the appearance that we're stronger then we appear."

"Oh!" Papyrus seemed to have an epiphany. "That's how you were able to pull me to my feet this morning! You used your magic!"

I nodded to him with a soft smile. "Yes, I use it in most everyday things. You'd be surprised how much you actually use your magic sometimes. That day when Sans was sick and I helped clean the room and shove his door open? I used magic then too."

Sans rubbed the back of his skull. "That's an unusual magic."

"Yeah… I've heard that before."

"So, now back to business." Sans sighed before he grabbed both my arm and Papyrus' and teleported us back into the kitchen. We all landed into our seats while Sans leaned his head into his hand. "We got the names figured out, now we need a cover story."

Papyrus pouted at him. "We can't just say I invited them to live with us, right Brother?"

"Sorry Pap, but that's not believable." Sans shook his head, the whites of his eyes having a dimmer look to them as he concentrated, thinking in the back of his skull. "I would never let someone in so easily; it would have to be family of some sort for it ta be believe able."

"He's right Papyrus," I quickly agreed with Sans. "Sans gives off the appearance that he doesn't trust most people and the people of Snowdin know that. Therefore, we have to fabricate a story that's more along the lines of us being family members to you guys. That would make it more believable for those who either know Sans better or that know his mannerisms."

"Let me think for a second." Sans contemplated for a moment, drumming his fingers against the table. I watched them in fascination like I had the night before at the restaurant which Sans snickered at, watching me from his side of the table.

I glared at him.

"Mom had a sister, Aunt Lee, short for Leelawadee. They were twins. She died during an outbreak and she never had any kids, but she kept ta herself and didn't really communicate with anyone besides our family. We could always fabricate a story around that she had kids, two of them, Ravie and Sitka, but ya'd run from home when she died and lived up in the ruins. Only recently did ya dare to come down here after meetin' Pap and I on one of yer food runs. Because we were family, even though we hadn't seen ya in years, ya trusted us. So we took ya in to help ya get up back on yer feet."

"Oh wowie! That's an amazing story, Brother!" Papyrus' jaw dropped as he listened to Sans quick fabricate a story. "That fits so well!"

I nodded, but still a few worries came to the back of my mind. "I have to agree. But we'll need to know some details about her and keep them strait between myself and Frisk."

"We also should start ta practice using yer new names." Sans' comment agreed with my worries. "We don't want others to know otherwise. I'm not as worried about most people in Snowdin, but we'll still want to get the act down and have others who are friends with ya in on the story so when monsters from other cities come into Snowdin, ya could be out and about with us, just… covered up."

"Then I, the Great Papyrus, shall do as such!" Sans was quickly grabbed from the table by his younger brother. Papyrus stood tall with Sans flung over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. "Come Brother! You need to finish getting dressed and we must leave for work! There is too much to do for you to laze around!"

"Alright Pap, I got it." Papyrus quickly marched away with Sans waving to us lazily from his spot. "See ya later Angel…"

"Have a good day!" I waved to them before I looked around the kitchen to see what there was for me to do. "Hm… I could clean…"

Witch's Note:

Don't you just love those amazing moments where nothing goes as planned? Don't I love to tease Sans and Angel! Its much more a spot sometimes then it actually is anything else.

But also other things happened in this chapter! We now are beginning with a cover story to keep the girls safe as well as new names for them. Ravie and Sitka Gaster, what do you all think of the names? Do you think they fit? I spent a lot of time researching those names when I first thought about this chapter a long time ago.

And now to our reviewers!

RoseCentury: Did the piggies bite you hard when you started singing? Its only going to get worse from here! Get some guards for those little fingers because the love between Sans and Angel (as well as teasing of course) is only going to get worse from here!

Zorua1: Oh yes, the only one bed trope indeed. I hope you enjoyed the beginning of the chapter! And welcome to the story! It's our first-time hearing from you and hopefully would love to hear more comments!

ShunGod: Its so good to see you again! It's been so long! How are you? Enjoying the story and the craziness of it? Know that me and Mystic Girl certainly are and are very much looking forward to the future chapters when so much bullshit takes places! You have no idea what we've planned!

Love you all, and we look forward to seeing you again next week! Please don't forget to send in reviews! We love to hear what you have to say!
