Years To Come

By SugarHighNutcase

Just a short idea that came to me while I was doing my homework. I kind of like it, although it feels weird, because I prefer to write about the lovely Pevensie boys. Tell me what you think. Who is this mysterious "she"? You tell me. I'm leaving that for you all to decide. I'm interested in hearing what you have to say. I'm not sure who this is, exactly. I started writing from one point of view, then switched to the other Daughter of Eve. : ) Please leave a review, feedback is much appreciated.

Sometimes, when she is alone at night, when she cannot possibly sleep, she beings to wonder.

She wonders whether they'll ever get to once again see Narnia in the years to come. She wonders whether the people she used to see every day have moved on. She wonders if the Narnians ever think of her, because she always thinks of them.

It's painful to think, sometimes.

She wonders what everyone in Narnia is doing. She wonders whether they have a new rule, or whether the thrones remain empty, awaiting the return of the Four. She wonders whether Narnia is still as peaceful as she and her siblings maintained it, or if a war has broken out in the absence of a monarchy.

She misses what used to be. Being back in their own world, being children again- none of it feels right to her. She longs to go back to Narnia.

And sometimes, her thoughts scare her.

Sometimes, she wonders whether she'll forget in the years to come. She wonders whether she'll forget what it was like to be in the company of Talking Beasts and Centaurs and Fauns and Dryads and such. She is afraid she'll forget what Cair Paravel looked like, or- and this scares her the most, when she dares think it- if she'll forget about Aslan.

Because she knows that if she were to forget Aslan, she'd forget Narnia altogether.

And she really, really does not want to forget.
