JPOV
Our time out in the woods was phenomenal. Something about that position and the view of her ass as I thrusted into her made everything feel ten times better than normal, and we were really getting good at sex. Things were never awkward between us but there was definitely some trial and error that we seem to have worked through.
I'm not sure why but laying in Bella's bed with her for the first time made things feel more real. I guess it was sort of because she'd been a part of my world down on the reservation for so long but this was the first time I got to be a part of her world, at least while official. Unofficially, we had that date at the movies that Mike ruined when he got sick. We weren't actually together then but we acted like we were, and I know that the only thing that was stopping us from being official was Bella's loyalty to Edward in hopes that he would return. Everything worked out though in the end. I had Bella by my side and it was right where she belonged. I pulled her tightly to me as she slept, nuzzling into the crook of her neck.
I allowed myself to sleep. Despite technically being on patrol, I was watching over Bella and there was no way a vampire would get in this room without me knowing, so I used my time to both sleep and keep watch over her, my wolf senses stayed awake, as they always did while I slept.
/Morning/
I woke up to the sound of Charlie walking around the house and prayed he didn't walk in. Bella's door didn't have a lock and Bella and I weren't wearing much. I had on a pair of boxers and Bella was wearing a super tiny sleep set that consisted of a shirt that had straps that were as thin as spaghetti. It hugged her breasts in a perfect heart shape and the bottom fell a few inches above her belly button. Then there was a pair of shorts that sat at her waist and the bottoms had a wide V so her ass was showing. It was the lightest shade of pink I'd ever seen and was by far the sexiest thing I'd ever seen on Bella, somehow even sexier than the swim suit.
Bella's body was molded to my side, the leg on top wrapped over my own and her head was on my chest, using me as a pillow. There was something about her using me as a heater that was too adorable for words, but I couldn't think about that, I could only think about her hand at the hem of my boxers. I knew we couldn't do anything, the lack of lock being the biggest factor but also Bella needing to leave for school. I had to make sure she graduated and accomplished something with her life, because I knew I'd be stuck on the reservation until I'm old and grey which won't provide much. Maybe someday I'd open up my own garage to help pay the bills, it really was the only thing I was good at aside from protecting Bella and the tribe and no diploma was needed.
I heard Charlie's feet walk up the stairs and my heart started to race. Not much scares me. I could take on a bunch of newborn vampires anyway but Police Chief Swan? Charlie scared the shit out of me, but only when it came to his daughter. I held my breath, praying he didn't open the door and my heart may have actually stopped when he knocked on the door loudly.
"Bella, you're going to be late for school." He called, through the closed door.
"Okay, I'm up." She mumbled sleepily then smiled at me through half lidded eyes. I smiled back. Her voice lowered so that it was barely a whisper. "He never comes in, relax."

The second I pulled up to the school parking lot, Jessica was at my door.
"Who is she?" Jess asked.
"Who's who?" I had no idea what she was talking about.
"The new girl. She came in with Edward and Alice. I figured you'd know what was going on. Didn't you leave with them last night after… uh" she looked around. "The meeting with the pack."
"Yeah they, oh, they had to leave because Alice had a vision. They stopped Riley, the one that's changing the others? He was going to make more vampires for his army and they saved someone I guess. No idea why they'd bring them here though." I walked inside with Jess at my heel and found Edward and Alice in the administration office with a girl, young and beautiful but definitely not vampire. Alice excused herself then came outside to talk to me.
"Hey Bella. I know, lots to talk about. Her name is Bree, she was Riley's newest target but Edward sucked the venom out." She said quietly. The hall was mostly clear as everyone was starting to sit down in their classes. Jess walked off to class, not wanting to be tardy but I knew she'd want the scoop later.
"So why is she here, instead of at home?
"She was homeless. Riley's changing people who won't be missed." Alice said, an anger in her voice at the situation. "We're giving her a home and food and clothing and I had a vision… We're helping the police find her mother's body, who was killed by her abusive father. Yeah so despite everything, we feel it's safer for her to be with us instead of back with him or on the street."
"Are you freaking kidding me? How could anyone…" I felt like I would cry just thinking about it and Jess looked like she felt the same. "What does she think of all of you?"
"Well, she knows about all of us, hard to explain that away after what she went through. She seems perfectly content with us. She appears to have some sort of ability as well, one that shows while human though it may have been triggered by the venom since she seemed shocked by it's discovery. She heals really fast."
"That's pretty cool. As clumsy as I am, that should have been mine." I laughed, joking but it would have been nice. "So she's just going to stay here for now or?"
"I've seen her with us as both human and vampire. I don't know exactly what that means but I feel like she belongs."
"Oh, wow. Replacing me already?"
"Ha ha Bella. You know no one could replace you."
"Of course not. I'm going to head to class. I'll see you guys at lunch? And meet Bree?" Alice nodded and I waved to Edward through the glass and walked off to tell Jessica the newest information in our life of weird.
/Lunch/
When I walked into the cafeteria, most of the students were glancing over at the newest "new girl" and chatting quietly to themselves. Oh boy, I knew this scene all too well. Poor Bree was the talk of the town, and even more so because she was "adopted" by the Cullen's. Bree was an outsider, not part of the Cullen family so everyone probably thought it was weird that they brought someone into their home that wasn't already a part of the family. I grabbed Jessica's hand and walked over to sit with the 3 of them, hoping that maybe we could make them fit in better.
"Hey!" I called out, plopping down in the seat beside Alice, who was across from Bree. Jessica sat beside me and Edward was across from me. "I'm Bella, and this is my friend Jessica. How was your first day in Forks?"
"It was, good? Is everyone normally this gossipy?" Bree made a face that showed how much she disliked the attention.
"Yes and no. They were like that with me when I first got here too, but eventually the novelty of a new student wears off." I smiled warmly at her, hoping to help ease things a bit. Being the new girl was not easy. "How are you liking your time at the Cullen's? It's quite the house."
"I… Esme is a really good cook."
"It's ok, Bree." Edward said, gently touching Bree's back. "Bella and Jessica know. They're the only ones here at school who do."
"Yup." Alice chimed in. "If you ever need tips on dating a vampire, Bella's your girl. Her and Edward used to date."
"Jeez, kind of personal?" I scolded, but I didn't mind, I was more worried about how Edward would take it.
"Sorry. I just… throwing that out there." Alice apologized but there was something in her tone, and Edward gave her a death glare from across the table. I decided to leave it alone for now and probe Alice for information after school. Just as I made that decision she looked over at me and smiled. "Bella, mind if join you on your drive to work after school?"
"Uh, no. Not at all." Sneaky little pixie.
