Sorry for the late upload, I had someone in my house all day fixing our heat pump and had no time to edit the chapter but here it is.
Paul POV
When I woke up the next morning, my furry arm was resting across the body of a now two-legged, and very naked Angela. My paw was covering over her more private areas and I had to ignore that I could feel the heat coming off of her.
Angela stirred and I could feel her breasts rub against my arm.
Shit.
I cleared my throat which came out more like a growl than anything but got her attention enough that she slowly blinked her eyes open. Her hand went to my arm and played with the fur, causing my heart to race with excitement, she gasped.
"I'm me again!" She tried to get up with her excitement but my heavy arm stayed in place. "Let me get up."
"No." I barked, "Can't you tell you're naked?" I barked again, this time my arm shifted slightly and her cheeks reddened, her arms covered her naked breasts which I'd been ignoring the best I could, not only for myself but for Jake and Leah to not get a look as well.
"I'm naked. Um… where can I find some clothes?"
This wasn't going to work, I needed to talk to her. I phased back into my human form, our bodies now naked against each other.
I was about to close my eyes and pull away from her when a delicious scent hit my nose. She was aroused.
My eyes closed and I breathed in deeply, Which had I thought about it sooner, was not the smartest thing to do, naked, pressed up against her. Fuck, Paul. Trying to scare her away? You've been with her for 2 weeks. I heard her take a quick breath in then swallow loudly as my body instinctively reacted to her need.
"Ange…" I wasn't sure what I was trying to say but nothing else came out. I closed my eyes and turned away from her, got up and hid behind a large tree to get my shorts on.
Luckily when I phased I was still wearing the shirt from our date. I walked out from behind the tree, facing away from Angela and held it out. "This is all I have."
I felt a tug and loosened my grip on the shirt and waited. After a few seconds, Angela hugged me from behind, placing a soft kiss on my back. I tensed and my heartbeat picked up again.
I turned around and looked at her, she was still shorter than me, but tall enough that I didn't have to contort my body to kiss her. When our lips met, a fire lit within me. This girl made it real hard to take things slow.
"You're not mad at me for keeping this from you?" I asked after pulling away.
"No, it wasn't choice to keep it from me. I know that. Plus would I even have believed you? This is… it's a fairy tale."
"Right, all 'true loves kiss cures all', sure."
"Um well, I was more thinking the Grimm Brothers." Angela said, her cheeks reddening.
"Oh. Yeah this is definitely a Grimm fairy tale." I laughed. "Come on. You must be starving."
/Bella POV/
Last thing I remembered after the bonfire was waking for a moment in Jake's arms as he carried me down the cliff. It was morning now, and I was in Jake's bed. The house was quiet and the sun was shining on the morning sky.
I glanced over at Jake's alarm clock. 9:32 AM glared at me in an angry red glow. I listened at the door before opening it. I closed the door behind me and quietly walked to the girls room to grab some fresh clothes and hopped in the shower.
When I was done, dried and dressed, I came out and was met by Charlie, Billy and Harry.
"Hey. I was just out here, where we're you guys?" I asked.
Charlie was the quickest to respond. "Harry isn't cleared for driving yet, so I went to pick him up, Billy asked if he could tag along."
"Alright, is anyone hungry?" There was a quiet knock at the door.
"Would you mind, Bella?" Billy asked, trapped in the kitchen behind the other men's chairs.
I walked to the door and a beautiful woman stood in front of me. I didn't recognize her but still, she looked familiar. That's when it hit me, she looked like Angela, only older.
My mouth dropped open then closed again as I watched Paul, Angela and Jake come out of the garage behind Jake's aunt. Angela looked to be wearing something I swore I'd seen on Leah before.
"Um, you must be Jake's aunt. I'm Bella Swan, his girlfriend. Come on in."
"I doubt my brother has any photos of me on display. How did you guess?" Emmie asked, a look of amusement on her face.
"I uh." You can't be the one to talk to her about this, Bella. "Billy's been waiting for you. I'll be right there, just going to get Jake from the garage."
Emmie walked into the house and walked out, closing the door behind me. I ran over to them, again, surprised by my lack of tripping.
I looked to Angela then to Jake, "That was your aunt, Emmie."
"We heard." Jake replied.
"You're sure she's…?" Angela asked, a look of panic on her face.
"I…" I couldn't imagine what she was going through.
"Are you SURE?"
"You look just like her Angie." I didn't know what else to say.
I heard a door close behind me and Angela gasped. When I turned around, Emmie was standing there, her brown eyes, Angela's same eyes, looked past me.
"We should give them some privacy." I said, quietly.
"Ange, do you need me to stay?" Paul asked, his hand finding hers.
"I think I'll be okay." Paul gave her a quick kiss then followed us into the house.
/Angela POV/
I sat down on a nearby bench as this woman, who apparently was my birth mother sat beside me.
"It's Angela?" I nodded, unsure I could speak without my voice cracking and breaking down into tears. "You must have a lot of questions."
"I only found out I was adopted yesterday. I haven't really thought of what I'd ask you yet."
"Oh, that's, okay. We'll get there. I'll answer any question you think up. Maybe I should start with an introduction and an explanation?" Emmie asked, her voice was kind, which made it difficult to be mad at her.
"I'd like that."
"Well, my name is Emmie Martha Black. I'm Billy's youngest sister. There's four of us girls. I live in Seattle. I am a graphic design artist for a company that designs webpages for businesses along with business cards but I freelance on the side doing whatever work is needed. I am 34. I got pregnant with you when I was 16 and hid it from everyone because I was afraid."
"What were you afraid of?" I asked, my voice cracking. She was just a kid, of course she gave me up for adoption. I couldn't imagine trying to take care of a baby at my age.
"Mostly the life you'd have if I kept you. A Native American girl in an already large family? My parents couldn't help me afford you. I was still in school and had no job. I had no way to take care of you, or myself." She paused for a moment. "I haven't stopped thinking about you, I just didn't know how to find you. The company that I used to find you a family is no longer in business. It stopped doing adoptions about 10 years ago. They had no updated information. I figured your parents wouldn't stay in Forks after they adopted you. They weren't from around here and only came to adopt you. They must have liked the area."
"Who's my father?"
"Oh. That's a long story. His name is Andrew McArthur, he had just graduated early, top of his class. He went to school for business and owns his own company in Boston, not exactly sure what he does but the company is doing quite well."
"Does he know about me?" I wasn't sure which answer would make me sadder, but I needed to know.
"No. He left before I found out I was pregnant and by the time I found him, he was in a relationship with someone. I didn't think it was fair to do that to him since I was putting you up for adoption anyways."
I looked at her in shock.
"I know that he deserved to know. But I was 16 and a kid. I had no idea what I was doing. If I could go back, I would have told him."
"Would you have kept me, knowing what you know now?"
"I'm sorry, dear, but no. Regardless of anything, my regret, my sadness, your feelings, I knew I couldn't take care of you. It was better this way. For everyone, but especially for you. Your parents took good care of you?"
"Yes. They're amazing." It was the truth. Was I upset they kept it from me? Yeah, but that didn't change anything. They were amazing parents. They were kind and smart and took care of me and my brothers. Oh my god. Did the twins hear when Mom told me I was adopted? Everything was a big mess.
/BPOV/
"Why didn't you tell me how you felt about me and Angela? Why'd I have to hear it from her?" Paul asked Jake in the kitchen, obviously irritated.
Charlie and Billy watched a game in the living room. I was sitting at the dining table looking out at Angela and Jake's aunt but looked at the two men when I heard the serious tone in Paul's voice.
"I had to be sure first. Could you imagine if I said it and was wrong? Once I phased with Angela I knew it was true, and all those little things just popped into my head as proof."
"Jake? What's going on?"
"Apparently…" Paul began throwing his hands up in exaggeration, " I am the only wolf in existence that imprints without even knowing it."
"What?"
"I imprinted but had no idea. So when Angela phased, Jake noticed that she imprinted on me," Paul turned toward Jake, "Thanks for the warning, by the way." He turned back to me, glancing behind me at Angela outside. "He put two and two together and figured out that I just suck at feelings."
"It makes sense, when you look back on things." Jake said, shrugging. "Paul got defensive when you asked if Seth imprinted on her. He easily connected with Angela at the party and even asked her on a date, despite having never asked anyone on a date, EVER. He told her he loved her, again, a first, and all in 2 weeks of meeting her. I love that it happened, don't get me wrong. I think you guys are great together, but, I do think you needed that push, or pull, or whatever, from the imprint to finally go beyond fuck buddies with a girl."
"Jake!" I scolded, I couldn't believe he just said that about Paul.
"He's right, Bella. I hate admitting it but I mean for my age, I have far too much baggage and never anything more than a one night stand. Angela is it for me when it comes to an actual relationship."
"I'm glad you two found each other, and imprinted. I was so worried you'd imprint on someone and I'd be forced to choose between you both in the event of a breakup."
"Ha! You know you'd choose me." Paul winked and I couldn't help but giggle. Jake glared at him with daggers for eyes, and a low, barely loud enough to hear, growl.
"Now, now boys. No need to get into a sparring match on an empty stomach." I joked, hoping they weren't actually going to fight.
"Mmm. I can call a truce over food." Jake said.
"Better be damn good food." Paul replied.
