When she returned to her room after their talk, Yaoyorozu found her pillow extra comfortable, and before she had a chance to think, she was knocked out. Her talk with the Symbol of Peace had eased her uncertainty and gave her a glimpse into the future that Deku hid from them. But, unfortunately, it wasn't enough to entirely satisfy her.

In two years, Tomura Shigaraki would be dead, and Deku would become the Symbol that the world needed. He would then form the Toshinori Hero Agency, debut together after stopping a train robbery, and then...well, they'd grow as heroes. But, while knowing that she would become a great hero, she still didn't understand why she couldn't know more about the event. Villains attack the capital, and the heroes rise and win, but at what cost? From what she could gather, Deku despised the event.

Instead of dwelling on it further, Yaoyorozu fell asleep, missing her morning alarm and waking up just in time to make it to Deku's announcement.

When she hurried downstairs, she saw all of 2-A standing in the common space. When they heard the commotion, they all looked up, expecting the young Symbol of Peace. "Oh, Momo! You sleep well?" Mina asked.

The Everything Hero nodded. "I just rolled out of bed. I'm sorry, everyone..." She apologized.

"Nah, it's okay. I let the rest of the class know what was going on," Hagakure said as she sat on the couch facing the stairwell.

"Thank you, I-wait. How did you know Deku was making an announcement? He told me-"

"Last night. I heard some commotion down here, so I snuck in and heard you talking to Deku about the Boot Camp announcement," she said.

"B-But I didn't see you. Were you-?"

"It gets hot in my room. Sue me," the invisible girl remarked.

Yaoyorozu nodded. "Right then...he should be down any minute now," she mused. "Maybe I have enough time to grab a bite to eat."

"Yeah, you do," a voice said behind her.

The Class Rep jumped in place as she turned to see Deku towering over her. He had a journal in hand and a pen perched on his ear. "You overslept too? Good thing I wasn't the only one," he said. "Excuse me a second."

Yaoyorozu stepped to the side as Deku descended the stairs. "Right then, good morning, everyone!"

"It's 1:30 in the afternoon," Iida chimed in.

"It's morning for me," Deku responded. "Anyway, I'm glad you're all here. I'll be going over the current roster for my Boot Camp training next week. There is still time to submit your name if you wish to participate. There is an odd number on my list, but if someone wants to sign up now, I'll write your name down."

Hagakure raised an invisible hand. "I'll go. Why not, right?"

Deku smiled. He opened the notebook and wrote her name down. "Perfect, so now that's an even ten people signed up. I have class B also signed up for the Bootcamp, but they requested to train with you guys. Surprise, surprise," he noted.

"Wait, really?!" Kirishima asked with wide eyes.

"I'm not putting you with Tetsutetsu. You two might waste time, which is what you guys do in my time whenever you're paired up for a mission. You do your hero work, but I swear I've come close to paying bail money for you guys," Deku admitted.

Bakugo burst out laughing when he heard that. "YOU NEED A FUCKING BABYSITTER IN THE FUTURE! PRICELESS!"

Deku actively bit his tongue. "Anyway, here are my groups so far. First, it's Eijiro and Denki, focusing on establishing and enforcing close-quarters combat training," he said.

"All right!" Kirishima burst out.

"I'm not good at close quarters..." Kaminari said.

"That's what the Bootcamp is for. Next is Kyoka and Tooru working on guerrilla fighting tactics. After that, some of Abigail's QICDs will assist you two," he said.

Hagakure and Jiro bumped fists. "Next is Fumikage and Shihai working to harness the true powers of the darkness. Revelry in the dark," Deku said.

Tokoyami repeated the phrase, prompting the young Symbol of Peace to grow a smile. "Next is Ochaco and Itsuka, working on expanding your martial arts training. Gunhead is a great instructor, but learning the art is taking knowledge from multiple sources. The two of you will be great sparring partners, I'm sure."

"Ohh boy," Uraraka said.

"Momo and Mashirao will be a group. The both of you excel in fighting with your Quirks, so this will be a chance to strengthen that field and hopefully provide a new avenue of combat for you, Yaoyorozu," Deku said.

The Class Rep nodded with a fierce look in her eyes. "And that leaves the final group. Izuku and Katsuki. I have a special surprise for the two of you, and you'll like it."

"We'll see about that!" Bakugo grumbled.

Deku smirked. "The final day for signups is on Friday at 3:00. I'll have a sign-up sheet posted soon, and the weekend will be me getting your training schedules finalized. So have a good rest of your day," he said.

"Thank you, sir!" Deku smiled and waved them off before heading to the kitchen.

One week later...

10:00 on a Monday morning was a beautiful time and day. The heatwave that hit the campus the week before had passed, and as everyone outside of U.A. enjoyed their summer break, 2-A and 2-B were set to begin their training.

Midoriya woke bright and early for his morning run, but before he stepped out of the building to begin his routine, he found a note on the door that said, 'Save your energy for later. You and Katsuki meet me in Gym Gamma at 10.'

With a time to meet, Midoriya got to work making breakfast for everyone. Again, the smell traveled through the building, and pretty soon, all of Class 2A thanked the young inheritor for the meal before digging in.

When 10:00 hit, Midoriya and Bakugo arrived at the building for their Bootcamp session. They both wore similar outfits: black t-shirts and different colored shorts. "-for someone who has everything All Might, you still can't seem to grasp the concept of it."

"I don't get why you're so against it. You were just as shocked as I was when you heard that he used Support gear," Midoriya said. "An All Might support figurine has to exist somewhere."

"And I'm telling you that they don't. If they existed, you would've already bought 5 of them and written fanfiction about them!"

"If there were a limited stock, then I wouldn't have bought 5 of them. Besides, I don't write fanfiction," Midoriya defended himself.

"Dude, I found your account ages ago. You fucking write fanfiction, and it's shit," Bakugo deadpanned.

Midoriya was silent for a moment. "Well...I don't write GOOD fanfiction."

Bakugo cracked a smile. "There we go!" He started laughing.

"Whoa whoa, hang on a minute. So you read my stories for how long?"

"Since before we started here. I was going to use it as blackmail, but I forgot," he said.

"Sweet. Hey, I need a beta reader..."

"Fuck you, Deku."

They stopped their conversation to find Deku standing in front of them with his arms crossed. He wore a black tank top with his U.A. gym sweats and a pair of gray sneakers. His eyes were closed, and his head was hanging low. Bakugo elbowed his rival. "You're fucking weird in the future," he whispered.

"She has a name, you know," Deku said as he opened his eyes.

Midoriya's jaw dropped while Bakugo lost it. He turned away and hunched over, laughing like a maniac. "I-I-...you! I-I can't believe-!" Midoriya stammered.

Deku smirked. "Don't tell her I said that. She'll kill me," he said.

"I think Cheeks will kill the both of you!" Bakugo continued laughing. "And I'll record the whole thing."

"Much appreciated, Katsuki. But all jokes aside, we should begin our session."

After another minute, Bakugo recomposed himself and stood straight. "So, before I begin, I want to congratulate both of you for your incredible work during the final exam. The results were exactly as projected," he said.

Bakugo's grin faded. "Wh-What do you mean? WERE YOU USING FUTURE KNOWLEDGE ON US?!" He demanded.

Deku shook his head. "I have no memory of doing that exam when I was younger. All I remember is hearing about the final exam and then...I was done," he admitted.

"THEN WHAT THE HELL!"

Deku raised his hand at him. "Katsuki, please. Anyway, the results were on par with what I had deduced. But...there's the problem," he said.

"And what's that?"

Deku lowered his hand and crossed them in front of him. Black Whip shot out at incredible speed, trapping the young heroes. Unfortunately, Danger Sense didn't alert Midoriya to the sudden attack, and Bakugo was caught entirely off-guard.

Deku looked down on them with Paraly-Stare activated. "The both of you are incredible powerhouses of energy and will. Combined, both of you have the power to topple false gods and powerful villains, but you can also use that power against the civilian population. During your initial fight, you guys caused immense destruction of public property and put lives at risk. If that weren't a training simulation, the both of you would've been answering a lot of hard questions."

"B-But..."

Deku pulled against them, tightening his grip. "It's only because of you, Izuku, that you guys didn't automatically fail. You got the cardboard civilians out of harm's way as best as you could and had hero cutouts 'directing' the evacuations. You treated this as a real situation...almost."

Deku eyed Bakugo. "Once again, you let your pride blind you. I remember getting over that slope with you after the assault on Jaku City, but it's that pride that'll be your downfall," he said. "Your enemies will exploit that in the future, so I recommend getting that under control."

With that, Deku released both Quirks on the young heroes. He walked away from them and approached a table setup. The table appeared solid and sturdy, almost like a kitchen table. On it was two long crates with rope handles. "Now that we cleared the air, we'll begin your training."

He set the crates down at the feet of the two heroes. "So can I punch him in the face now?" Bakugo asked, gesturing to Midoriya.

"K-Kacchan!"

Deku smiled. "Not yet."

The Symbol of Peace gestured the two young heroes to move back from the crates. Deku created two lines in the cement with a single strand of Black Whip with a swing from his arm. Then, he walked over to the edge of the concrete training ground and made another line with his power. "Come here," he ordered.

Midoriya and Bakugo complied, meeting him at the line. "I want five laps around this gym. I'll let you know when to alternate. Once that's done, you will return to the lines I drew in the ground, and we will continue, you understand?"

The two young heroes eyed each other and nodded. Deku smiled and turned away, but before he moved, he stopped. "Oh, and one more thing."

He looked them dead in the eye. "From the moment you walked into this building, you're leaving your Quirks at the door. There will be no One for All enhanced speed, nor any Mach Speed Turbo blasts. Instead, you will be working on your natural strengths here," he said.

"Oh yeah? What's to stop us if we do?"

"Your face will be intimate with the concrete floor," Deku said. "Snipe and Principal Nezu have approved of my authority during this pre-season training. So do what I say, and we won't have any issues."

Bakugo rolled his eyes. "Whatever."

"That's ten laps for you," Deku said.

The explosive young hero's eyes widened. "What the hell?"

"Do you want 15?"

Bakugo growled but said nothing. The two took their positions, waiting for the go-ahead. Once the Symbol of Peace gave the order, the two young heroes started their laps. "You can match Bakugo's ten laps if you want to, Izuku!" Deku called out as they ran.

The young inheritor didn't verbally respond, but Bakugo rolled his eyes when he said this. Of course, Midoriya would take the extra laps. He wouldn't pass up a little bit of additional training.

As they ran around the gym, Deku walked back over to the two crates he set down. He smiled as he lifted Midoriya's box and opened the lid slightly. The uniform inside brought back a few memories for the Symbol of Peace, and knowing how little they wore the suits made him reminisce the massive mission he and his friends took part in.

He sealed the lid and looked up to see two figures poking their heads through the entrance. Deku didn't need Enhanced Sight to know that at least one of them was Uraraka. When he read her name and Kendo's name for the Bootcamp, he knew that she was curious about the training and would want to know what to expect.

After a few minutes, Deku sighed. "Side-to-side! Turn facing me and keep moving. Watch where you skip; otherwise, you'll roll your ankle, and that hurts like a motherfucker!" He warned.

The two young heroes switched on the fly. Deku continued to eye the two boxes and smiled as he did. He was eager to see their faces when they realized what training he had in store for them.

When they were done with their laps, the two young heroes approached the lines he drew. "Manage your breathing. It's time to do some stretches!"

Bakugo internally groaned, but he complied without an issue. As they did the stretches he instructed them to do, Deku looked up to see Uraraka and the other student watching a little closer than before. They hid behind a stack of gym mats for future training sessions. He cracked a small smile.

After a few more minutes, the two young heroes had stabilized their breathing. "Aw, come on, you guys! You do far more than this during school! Two weeks of relaxing turned you soft, huh?"

Bakugo growled. "You think we're soft? Why don't you up the difficulty level, huh?! MAKE THIS BOOTCAMP WORTH IT!"

Deku smiled. "If you insist..."

Midoriya's eyes widened when he heard his older self give the go-ahead. 'I don't like the sound of that...

"Gentlemen...these boxes contain the uniforms you'll be wearing from now until the end of your training. As I said before, your Quirks will be left at the door when you arrive. I will be putting you both through the wringer with the warmups and the exercises."

"Is that it?"

Deku shook his head. "The two of you are too reliant on your Quirks when it comes to fighting. As a result, you will come across situations where fighting with your powers is ill-advised, or your abilities will be dampened or erased. These suits will be implemented into combat training when you've...broken them in."

The Symbol of Peace gestured to the boxes. "Open them up."

The young heroes eyed each other. Finally, Midoriya looked down at his box, sighed, and opened it up. "I-Is that my stealth suit?"

Bakugo glanced over. The suit was black with green accents, much like his stealth suit from several months ago. The jacket had a few empty slots on the chest. "I had the Support Department make these after the old ones...you know," Deku said.

Bakugo threw his box lid open. Sure enough, his stealth suit was there in its black and orange glory. Much like his rival's jacket, he had empty slots on the chest and ran down the torso. "Your equipment isn't there," Deku said. "No respirator, no Grenadier, no utility belt, or anything else. It's simple pants, boots, gloves, and a top."

The explosive young hero grabbed the top since it was the first thing he saw. Immediately once he grabbed it, he felt how thick it was. He lifted the clothing and cursed. "What the fuck?!"

Deku smiled. "This...this weighs a ton! What the hell is going on here?"

Midoriya looked down at his suit and picked it up. "Holy cow, you're right!" He struggled to lift the jacket from the box.

Deku watched as they struggled with their uniforms. "Izuku, you managed to lift and carry a 255 kg All Might when you started training. It was hard work, and I swear he felt heavier some days than others. However, since you can handle roughly that weight without an issue, this suit's overall weight is around 320 kg range," Deku said.

"W-What?"

"Katsuki, your weight limit and strength was something I really needed to think about. It was safe for me to put you at about 60 kg."

"You're nuts!" Bakugo cried out.

Deku nodded. "Put them on, and I'll go over what the game plan is for this session," he said.

As the two young heroes started putting their uniforms on, Deku looked up to see Uraraka peeking out behind the gym mat stack. This time, he saw there were two other people with her. It was Kirishima and Mina with her.

The two young heroes were too busy trying to put on their uniforms to notice Deku cover his eyes and gesture to the girls. Kirishima nodded and covered Mina's eyes and Uraraka's. The anti-gravity hero smacked his hand away while Mina tried smacking the hardening hero.

Deku rolled his eyes. After a few minutes, Midoriya and Bakugo had their weighted training suits on. The two young heroes were actively struggling to keep their arms up. "T-This is unnatural..." Bakugo strained.

"It's not unheard of, though. For example, I found an old-world tv show that featured weighted clothing, and I thought it was a great idea. And besides, the overall weight of these suits should be just beyond your limit," Deku said.

"Should?"

"There's room for error."

Bakugo sighed. "I honestly don't see the point of all this! So you want us to fight? I'll drop everything except my shorts and kick Deku's ass!"

"W-Which one?" Midoriya asked.

"Both of you! I'll kick your ass so hard; the future boy will remember it in an instant and give up the title of Number One to me!"

"Oh yeah?"

"YEAH!"

Without skipping a beat, Deku swooped in, grabbed Midoriya by the collar of his outfit, and lifted him over his head with one hand. Bakugo didn't have a chance to react before the Symbol of Peace grabbed him with his free hand and threw him into the air, landing on top of the young inheritor. In the back of the gym, their spectators watched in awe.

To further prove his point, Deku started to juggle them. He threw them in the air and alternated between catching them with his right hand and his left.

Midoriya was the one screaming as he was being juggled. "Stop! STOP!"

Deku sighed and grabbed them by the collar with each hand. He lowered them and dropped them on the ground, cracking the concrete underneath.

The Symbol of Peace hovered over them. "Strength in mind and body make great heroes. Strength in mind, body, and soul make legendary heroes. Your Quirks are magnificent, but if your bodies don't improve, then you'll be sticking to the same level without seeing any gains. Izuku, you know this better than most. 5% One for All used to be your limit around this time last year. You barely managed with that kind of power. Now? Your cap is 55%, and you got a sneak peek at 65% during the final exam."

"And you, Katsuki. Your explosions are incredible, and they can be even better. With a stronger body, even low-level attacks can cause some damage. Even fighting bare-fisted will provide excellent results."

Deku stood up. "Realistically, I'll be here for a few weeks. A month at the most. But, of course, time travel is a fickle thing, so even that estimate may not be accurate. But, whatever the case may be, we won't be wasting a single minute."

The Symbol of Peace stepped back several steps and used Black Whip to make one more line. He stood behind it and waited with his arms crossed. "Your first test will be picking yourselves up. You won't be using your Quirks at all. If I even detect a small pulse of One for All or see a small spark, I will be adding 15 kg to your suits. I have the necessary plates to add that weight."

"Once you guys are on your feet, we'll see how well you can move in those suits. Your combat training will include an introduction to kickboxing, judo, and a little dabble in Gunhead's Martial Arts technique. From now on, your warmups will be in those suits, your stretches will be without the jackets, you'll train the remainder of your time here in those suits, and you'll pack them up and put them back on this table before leaving," he said.

Bakugo was rocking his body while using his arms and elbows to create a stable foundation. "You're insane!"

Deku smiled. "I never said this was going to be easy for you. Now get on your feet! We have 40 minutes until your hour is up!"

I've got to shout out to Dragon Ball for introducing the weighted clothing training session. Unless other shows do the same, that's my reference. Since Bakugo can use his Grenadiers and throw people (Midoriya) around without an issue, he must be pretty strong. As for Midoriya, giving All Might a piggyback ride while in his Muscle Form is an incredible feat. Without using One for All, the guy must be powerful.

I'm looking into doing another story while doing this one. I saw a piece of fanart on Twitter, and it inspired me to work on it. Unlike this series, it will follow closer to canon events in the manga.

Until next time!
