Links POV:

A small bell tied to the bed wakes me up slowly. I'll never get over how the smell of livestock and the sounds of neighing horses, and clucking cuccos feel oddly nostalgic to me. Zelda is still clinging on to my shirt as she and I both groggily wake up. She looks up to me with her sleepy eyes, I give her a small grin.

"G'morning,"

She just yawns, pushing her head into my chest. Letting out a low groan.

"The sun always rises too early…" she says under breath.

"Did you sleep okay?"

She tugs on my shirt a little and holds me tightly, "I slept very very well, you were a good pillow," she giggles when sitting up. Stretching out her arms.

"At this rate I should start charging you," I say sarcastically.

"In your dreams," she snaps back.

We walk out of the stable, and have a quick breakfast of baked apples. Though, both of our appetites seem to be non-existent this morning. The whole time, a sense of dread is looming over me. I'm unsure if Zelda feels the same way but, all I can see is just the forest ahead, more than likely infested with malice possessed monsters.

Zelda seems in a cheerful mood, playing with the stable dog. Giving the rest of her baked apple to the pup. As soon as it sees me, it runs past and jumps on me in excitement. Of course, I began giving the good boy a bunch of pets and scratches behind his ears.

"Hey buddy! Good morning!"

He barks loudly in response, and begins spinning around wagging his fluffy tail around.

"You hungry buddy?" getting out the Sheikah slate and begin tapping on it. Hearing him bark happily once it sees me take out fresh raw meat. I stand at attention and he quickly sits at attention. I smile, and take out my hand,

"Shake?"

He quickly brings his paw up and rests it on top of mine. Letting out a huff, its eyes fixated on the filet of meat in front of him. I hand it to the pup, and he gently takes it from me. Placing the meat on the ground, sniffing it before devouring it. Wagging its tail erratically around. I look up to Zelda, who's hiding a grin behind her hand. Looking at me with warm eyes.

"You really love animals, huh?"

"The real question should be, 'Who doesn't?'" I chuckle. She reveals her smile to me with a small giggle. As it quickly fades away, when she looks out to the forest. She nervously rubs her arm nervously, clutching it close to her.

I approach her and lay my hand on her shoulder, "You know…I'm sure Robbie could use your help with updating the Sheikah slate, you don't have to go," I assure her.

"As tempting as that proposal may be…I have to refuse, I want to go with you,"

"Are you scared?"

She nervously fidgets, and just looks down at her feet.

"A little…"

"And there's no talking you out of this…?" in one last attempt to keep her safe.

She just arched her brow at me, crossing her arms in irritation. I laugh nervously at her, "Can't blame me for trying," I say, scratching my head. Looking back at the path ahead.

"Just stay behind me,"

"R-Right…"

"Is your bow in good condition? Do you need more arrows?"

"You're stalling," she says bluntly.

"Yeah…you may be right about that…"

She walks ahead of me, taking the lead.

"Let's be off! The sooner we retrieve this flame, the sooner we can get back to choosing the new pilots for the Divine Beasts!" she says cheerfully.

She's right, we still have a long way ahead of us. I look out to the distance to Death Mountain, more than likely, that's where we'll head out next. If I can't protect her from the power of the monsters in the forest, how am I supposed to keep her safe from the dangers of the mountain?

Every step forward we take up the steep hill to the plateau, I can't help but feel as though we're entering a lion's den. The forest ahead is lush, the wind gently blows through the leaves of the surrounding trees around us, the waters at Bloodleaf Lake appear calm.

Everything seems fine.

We cross the bridge of the lake, and it isn't long until we hear the familiar sounding gurgles and low grunts of a lone moblin. We quickly hide behind the trees before the tall, lanky monster can see us. I scan the area…nothing.

"Strange…" I whisper, Zelda's ear twitch lightly, attempting to hear my soft voice.

"What's wrong?"

"It should have a friend nearby,"

"Maybe it got left behind,"

"Doubtful," I take out my longbow, aiming for a direct headshot. Before releasing the arrow,
I look around one last time for any monsters nearby. I take a deep breath and release the arrow, letting it whistle through the branches, impacting the back of the moblins thick skull. It falls to its knees, not making a sound from the instant death.

I slowly get up, holding my hand back letting Zelda know to stay down. Once determining the area is clear, I wave for her to come close behind me. We continue making our way up the steep hill, the trees obscuring our vision for the path ahead. The forest is so quiet, and the only thing that can be heard are the small birds chirping in the trees sporadically. My ears twitch to the slightest sound of heavy footsteps that I hear up ahead behind more trees.

It definitely sounds like more than one pair of footsteps.

"Zelda, stay close…"

She nods her head, her brows furrowed in concern. We creep slowly forward, as I continue to search for the owners of those footsteps. Low grunts, and huffing can be heard as the sound gets closer and closer…a nearby bushes leaves rustle and a tall dark mass emerges from my blind spot.

"LINK! LOOK OUT!" Zelda screams, I barely have a moment to process what's going on, when suddenly…

WHACK

A splitting pain thrashes my shoulder, launching my body across the forest ground until I feel the wind rush out of me from the impact of a nearby boulder. My vision blacks out only for a moment. Zelda shrieks in absolute horror. Everything is now blurred from the sudden impact, I can hear the sounds of a moblin closing in on her.

Forcing my body to get up, I take out the Master Sword and run up behind the large dark blue moblin. Holding on to the hilt with both hands, I slash down onto the tall beast across its back. It yells out a pained cry and turns around towards me, letting out a ferocious roar trying to intimidate me. By now, my vision has cleared up and immediately I can tell…malice covers its entire body. I look past the monster and towards Zelda. She looks back at me in horror, pointing behind me. I quickly turn around and see another possessed looking silver moblin. Hovering over me, about to bring down its large spiked dragonbone boko bat. In my peripheral vision, I notice the dark blue moblin is going in for a kick in the back at me. I dodge the incoming attack quickly by side stepping out of the way. Time slows down as I slowly exhale and go into a flurry rush with the silver moblin. It tips back from the sudden onslaught of attacks and falls back when Zelda lands an arrow through its thick skull.

Her aim is crazy good for a beginner…

The possessed creature covers its face as it groans loudly in pain. Giving me time to turn my attention back to the moblin who got the one-up on me. My face scrunches up in anger when I see the dark blue looking moblin inch closer towards Zelda as she backs away, attempting to get another arrow ready for launch.

I won't let them touch her…

Running towards the moblin, I notice the deep slash I made in its back merely seconds ago, has already started to heal up. Malice bubbles over the deep wound, stitching the monsters back together. I grit my teeth in irritation, and quickly slice the back of its knees, having it fall over. Giving me enough time to put myself in between the beast and Zelda.

"Link! Are you hurt?"

"I'm fine," I say sternly, blood starts trickling from my head all down my face, but I don't stop from keeping my eyes locked on the two moblins. The dark blue moblin is already starting to regenerate its fresh wounds. The silver moblin roars as it pulls Zelda's arrow from its skull, malice immediately healing the small hole in its forehead. Zelda's tugs on my shoulder, her voice beginning to tremble.

"L-Link…d-do you see…?"

"Yeah…I do…"

"How are we going to defeat them? I don't see any eye of malice anywhere!" she panics.

My eyes scan the area hastily, and when I don't immediately notice the eye, I then lock back onto the dark blue moblin that starts rushing towards us. Swinging its spiked club, I'm able to parry its swing with my Hylian shield, knocking it back on its feet, getting in a few slashes as it regains its footing. In the heat of the moment, the silver moblin takes a sneaky swing towards me as I'm exposed slashing its ally. The hit pushes me back, and the dark blue moblin wastes no time kicking me back square in the chest.

Why is it always the ribs?!

I roll back, landing near Zelda's feet, coughing and wheezing, I can start to taste my own blood. Zelda gasps in concern, then is quickly overtaken by rage. She takes out the Sheikah slate and begins tapping quickly on it. She looks up towards the moblins and smirks with confidence.

A set of small remote bombs appear in her hands from the slate. She quickly throws them towards the charging moblins. I quickly get up and hold her close to my chest as she activates the bombs, protecting her from the nearby explosion. The moblins get blown off their feet, and I'm able to hold our ground, nearly taking her down with me.

"How'd you do that?" I ask curiously.

"I just quickly augmented its size settings! You never could do that?"

"W-Well…I just sort of used the default settings…? Y'know the sphere and box looking one?" I laugh nervously.

"Link! This is no time to talk about this—"

"Watch out!"

WHOOSH!

We step to the side as the dark blue moblin slammed down its club imprinting the earth below it.

"A-Are moblins usually this powerful…?" Zelda asks, clutching my sleeve.

Before I can respond back, I feel a hard force push me and Zelda down and a bruising pain radiates through the rest of my back. Air forcefully leaves my body, but I manage to keep my grip on Zelda, letting her go when we fall down. I roll over and see the silver moblin has his leg raised, letting out a gurgled laughter.

I slowly pick myself and Zelda up, and swing the Master sword swiftly towards the dark blue moblin who is raising its club to go for another swing.

"I'm not gonna fall for that again!" letting out a battle cry before completely severing its arm from its shoulder.

Malice-like liquid starts pouring out of the moblins shoulder as it grips onto its now amputated arm. It screeches in pain, falling to its knees, with an enormous amount of strength, I am able to take another slash at its head, decapitating it. Malice sputters out of its gaped neck as it lifelessly falls to the ground.

I look over to see the silver moblin is stepping closer and closer to us, swinging its dragon bone bat around carelessly. I can't seem to get a good hit on it as I keep my shield up to block its incoming attacks. It stops and thrusts it into the hylian shield, pushing me back.

Such strength…

I take a swing at the moblin when I see an opening, it quickly dodges out of the way. Grabbing onto the Master swords blade. Malice slowly begins creeping onto the blade, as it lets out a loud roar, swinging the sword around like a shot put, and taking me along with it, launching me to impact a large tree trunk, sword in hand.

"LINK!"

W-What?! It grabbed the sword?

I look over to the Master sword to see the malice that was just creeping on to the sword seconds ago, is now fading away into thin air. Zelda screams shrieks for help. I struggle to get up, my legs are failing me as my body still copes with the harsh thrashing. I have no words left to say, and instinctively just reach for Zelda. I see her aim her bow towards the monster with a look of rage covering her face.

"How…dare you…" she mumbles, a warm light faintly covering the tip of the arrow, with a heavenly light trailing behind it, as it whistles through the air, piercing the newly healed wound on the silver moblins head.

Was that…?

No time to think about that now.

The moblin looks as though it's in agonizing pain, covering its face from the blinding light, the sacred power flowing from the arrow, disintegrates the malice from its flesh. I take this opportunity to land one final blow on the monster, slashing it from behind from top to bottom. Its piercing screams are now silent. Gone with the wind, rustling in with the leaves. As both monsters lay lifeless on the ground beneath us. I notice myself gasping for air as I approach Zelda, who looks completely dumbfounded.

Zelda's POV:

Was that…?

My power…but…i-it couldn't be!

I…I didn't even feel anything!

"L-Link…" my eyes are glossed over seeing his wounded body approach me. Worry washes over his face as he sees me distraught.

"Are you okay?" He asks sincerely. Lightly grasping onto my arm, inspecting it to see if there's any injury. When he sees no bruising, he immediately pulls me close to his chest. Laying his hand protectively over my head, stroking his hand through my long hair. He pulls me away and looks into my eyes with concern.

"You're not hurt are you?"

Grasping his hands, I lean into his warm touch. Nodding my head slowly in response. "I…I'm fine…"

"Good…I'm glad…"

"More importantly…you're bleeding…" swiping his bangs out of his face. His hair is slightly stained with his own blood, with a little bit getting on my fingers. I look upon my hand, horrified, afraid of his current condition.

He…he tried to protect me, and got hurt…l-like this…

"I-I'm so sorry…" my chest begins to tighten, as my mind begins to spiral. Regressing back into the past, seeing flashes of memories of Link's dying moments on the day of the Calamity.

I feel his rough hands caress mine, bringing me back to reality.

"Listen to me, none of this was your fault,"

He looks at me with such a serious gaze, trying his best to reassure me but…I have no idea how to feel right now. I hang my head down, staring at the freshly disturbed forest floor. I hear the sound of sheathing metal and a long sigh.

"The life of being an adventurer comes with its risks. You never know what can happen…danger can always be around the corner, so please…don't blame yourself, Zelda…"

H-He's right…

Just take a deep breath Zelda…

"D-Did you see it…?" I whisper, his ears slightly twitch, listening out for any quiet sounds.

Just…focus on what you can do now…

"See…what?" he asks slowly.

"Just now…I'm…pretty sure I just used my power…I was able to channel it through my arrow, it seemed so faint though…I'm not sure if I could do that again…" holding my balled fist close to my chest. Link smiles sweetly towards me, laying his hand softly on my shoulder.

"I know you can," he says firmly.

This isn't the first time either…Link said I used my power against Mipha's hollow at Polymous mountain, but I don't remember much of what happened still…moreover, I cannot hear the voice inside the Master sword, nor do I feel any different. Link holds out his hand offering for me to take it.

"Are you ready to keep going?" he asks softly.

I nod my head, gently taking his hand and holding onto it tightly. He lightly squeezes my hand in response, gently pulling me closer to his side, as we start walking up the plateau again. His eyes scan the forest and the abandoned lookouts that remain. Moblin clubs and dragonbone bats lay spread out on the ground as we continue our hike. As though the monsters were taken from where they stood. Link unconsciously squeezes my hand once again as we reach the peak of the plateau. As if we can both tell that something's not right.

"This is moblin territory, so why aren't there as many of them?" he whispers to himself.

The air…it feels heavy…

We approach the ancient furnace and look upon an…unsettling sight. Malice covers the entirety of the furnace, the blue flame burning brightly through the malice.

How on earth…?

Link looks to me, "Do you have the torch?"

I nod my head, and take it out, slowly approaching the furnace, I stare deeply into the blue flame as I bring the torch carefully close to the flame. Something lightly taps my foot, accompanied by a hissing sound.

"ZELDA! LOOK OUT!"

Before I can even put together what's happening, everything goes white. The sound of mischievous laughter can be heard from all around me, followed by the sounds of muffled footsteps going into a brief tussle, Link can be heard grunting in the fight and then going silent.

"Link! What's going on?!"

When my vision comes too, I still feel disoriented. The blue flame is still there, but…right next to it is…someone looming over me. They're tall, burly, and wear that familiar inverted eye on their mask. And immediately, a sense of dread filled my entire being.

"We meet again…Princess Zelda,"

My voice begins to tremble, I can't utter a single word, and just slowly back away from him, petrified.

Where is Link?

"Aaaand her pathetic…pet…" the burly Yiga spits out, letting out a low, malicious giggle.

"Don't…touch…her…"

A quiet voice says behind me. I slowly turn my head around to see two more Yiga footsoldiers, both holding their signature curved sickles up to Link's neck. His eyes pierced towards the taller Yiga who stands in front of me.

"L-LINK!"

I hurriedly started stepping towards him, facing the foot soldiers head on. Until I hear the large Yigas booming voice,

"ONE MORE STEP AND HE DIES!"

The footsoldiers both press their sickles closer to Link's neck. Squeezing him tightly to avoid a struggle.

"N-NO! Stop!" turning around and facing the stronger looking Yiga, gritting my teeth.

"I thought as a princess, you would know that it's rude to turn your back when someones talking to you…" I remain as still as a statue, being acutely aware of the sound of Link's breathing, never letting him leave my peripheral vision. Now that I have a better look at this particular Yiga…he seems…familiar…

He's the same one from the lake…

"W-Who are you…?" I say slowly. He pompously waves his arms around, as if I should know.

"I…am Sooga…I am…or…I was Master Kohgas right hand man,"

W-Who is that?

"The Yiga clan couldn't have asked for a better leader to guide them to the destruction of the royal family to please our lord Ganon…" he continues slowly, when he conjures a giant corrupt ancient core, like none I have ever seen.

"But then you…" slowly pointing towards Link, "You murdered him, you gave my master a humiliating death, one not FIT for a warrior such as him…" the corrupted ancient core emits a malice like substance from it. Making the nearby malice covering the furnace pulsate, and start to slowly grow over the furnace, covering more and more surface area, making the blue flame begin to dwindle.

"Where did you get that…?" I ask coldly, keeping my eyes locked on the blue flame.

We've come too far to lose now, we can't lose the blue flame!

"A friend with a common goal…" he says cryptically, trying to hold back his malicious laughter.

"Tell me…are you responsible for the malice corrupted monsters infesting Hyrule?!" I say in a demanding tone, he lets out a small chuckle. Stepping closer to me, I straighten out my back, heightening my stature and stare into the soulless-looking inverted eye mask.

To think he saw me…exposed…I can barely hold back my rage, thinking back on it.

"Well…I can't take all the credit," he says coily.

"The people of Hyrule have suffered enough! Your possession of monsters ends now!"

With that, and a fleeting thought of courage. I dash towards the tall bladesman and lunge towards the ancient core. Seemingly catching him off guard and making him fall over.

I need to get that away from him!

"ZELDA NO!" Link shouts out,

As I am in a struggle with Sooga, I can hear Link begin to skirmish fiercely with the two foot soldiers holding him hostage. He lets out his battle cries, and the sounds of metal clanging against each other rings in my ears. Sooga manages to grab my neck tightly, picking my whole body off himself and just dangles me. With all my might, I wrap my hands around his strong grip, attempting to loosen it up, tearing through his Yiga uniform.

But…

He's too strong.

My vision starts to go blurry, and sound all around me begins to garble. I resist as much as possible, gasping for air, hearing Link call out for me. Before I close my eyes, there's a sudden jolt and release. My body slams into the ground, and in that moment. It felt like every single bone in my body shattered into little pieces. There's hard kicks to my stomach and ribs, making me cough uncontrollably. I gasp for air, regaining my vision once again, but every breath I take feels cursed, as though a knife has been dug into my lungs, making me wheeze uncontrollably. Sooga maliciously starts cackling, enjoying his handiwork of making me suffer.

With every ounce of my strength, I tried to regain ground and scurried away from him, picking myself up. Running towards Link, who sees me coming to him, and of course, I tripped like a fool. The split second his back was turned to look at me. The Yiga footsoldier slashes Link in the back cold-heartedly.

Link…

No…

He trips forward holding out his hand, with ocean eyes looking into mine. Before face planting on the ground. The other Yiga footsoldier goes for another attack and slashes him across the back again. He screams out in pain, coughing up blood, struggling to get himself back up. I…I can't bear it…

Please…

Just…

"STOP!"

I'm not sure what came over me…but…a warm, blinding light radiates from my hand. The grunting sounds from Sooga and the footsoldiers, it sounds like they dropped their weapons. Links screams can be heard through the light, and the voices of two Yiga begin screaming for mercy until they suddenly go quiet. There's no doubt about it…

This is my power…

The sacred blinding light is only short lived, it slowly begins to fade away from my hand.

No, no! Just a little bit longer, please!

My power refuses to listen to my pleas and completely fades into my hand, disappearing. I look around and see Sooga holding his head, shaking it to regain his senses. My head slowly turns back to where I last saw Link. He's standing above the two Yiga footsoldiers, blood covering his tunic and dripping down his hands. His body heaves with every breath he takes, and his face is lifted to the sky, barely clinging on to the Master sword. I feel guilty as soon as I start to run to his side, he instinctively looks at me, and begins limping towards me.

I hold out my arms and wrap his arm around my shoulder. His body feels so heavy…

"Zelda…" he says weakly.

"Link! You—" but I stop myself. I see a glance of my hand and notice it's now covered in Link's blood.

He'll bleed out at this point if we don't do something…

"Zelda…I need you…to listen to me carefully," he says softly, as if every word is taking an incredible amount of strength to utter. He doesn't keep his eyes off Sooga who is still disoriented, slowly getting his bearings.

"You have…the Sheikah slate…right…?"

"Y-Yes!"

He nods his head, "Let me see it…"

I hold it out for him, he swipes through the inventory list and pulls out two red elixirs and hands one to me.

"W-What is this?"

"A hearty potion, it'll hold off the pain…just for a little while…" and pulls off the cork cap to the bottle, and downs the red elixir with ease.

I hold the bottle up and waste no time trying the elixir. It tastes so gamey and smells like a familiar meat, much like cuckoo…after drinking the potion, I feel instantly revitalized.

"Incredible…" I say in astonishment.

"One last push, we can do this Zel," He looks back to me, in much better spirits, but the bleeding on his back still slowly gushes out. The back of his tunic is completely ripped, leaving him totally exposed in his most vulnerable injury.

Link approaches Sooga, raising the Master sword to him as he finally comes too.

"Your fight is with me, and me alone," he says coldly.

Sooga pulls out two large blades, holding them out intimidatingly. He begins running towards Link bringing up his two large blades and slams them down on Link. I can barely watch as Link holds back both blades with the Master sword. He grits his teeth, digging his feet into the ground, as he tenses up his muscles, begging his body for more strength. Link lets out a loud cry and pushes back Sooga.

The undeterred Yiga doesn't let that stop him, and starts bashing down each sword again and again against the Master sword with more ferocity. The swords clash against each other, the clanging metal sound intensifying with each swing. Link is having a hard time keeping up with each slash, but he manages to push him back again by expertly parrying Sooga with his shield. Sooga falls back, picking himself back up quickly. Covering his mask with his hand, rolling into a clenched first and conjuring the corrupted ancient core once again, pointing to Link and I.

"It's time to quit playing games…"

The core flashes a bright magenta light, and a trail of malice seeps out of it, flying past us, and heads straight to the weakend Yiga footsoldiers.

"Now you two can be of actual use," Sooga cackles.

The malice engulfs both of their bodies and they both begin screaming in pain, reaching out for something, anything to help free them from the pure agony. The malice absorbs their bodies slowly, as they begin to painfully dissolve into a mist of malice, becoming one with it.

"Sooga…WHY!?"

"Curse you Sooga!"

Soon, their screams fade away with the gaseous form of malice, and absorbs itself into Sooga. The malice begins clouding over the bulky Yiga. Enhancing his muscles, covering his whole body and seeps out of his mask from the sides. An aura covers both of his large swords, Link steps back, grabbing my arm gently and puts himself in front of me. We both look on in horror from the power boost our enemy just gained.

"Any last words?" Sooga says coldly.

"You can't beat me with your normal strength, so you'd kill your own to gain a power boost, really all I have to say is…

You're pathetic,"

Sooga lets out an enraged battle cry, quickly sheathing his swords, his muscles bulk up from the malice forming all around his arms, while getting into a lunging stance. Within the blink of an eye, there's a clanging sound that pierces my ears. Soogas swords are crossed in the shape of an x, Link is barely holding on to both of them as the Master sword struggles to remain centered. Keeping the swords at bay.

"Zelda, get back!" Link says as calmly as he can. Furrowing his brows and gritting his teeth, pushing Sooga back. But it's not enough, Sooga rushes towards him again, slicing downward onto Link's torso with one sword, not skipping a beat he lays another one across creating another gash on his chest. Link grunts quietly, gasping for air. I hear Sooga let out a small chuckle, and raises his leg, with malice concentrated on his foot, Kicking Link with such force, it ragdolls his whole body.

"Link! NO!"

Link laid there motionless, I feared the worst as my eyes began to instantly get foggy.

C'mon Zelda, think! You have to help him somehow!

Sooga slowly approaches me, twirling his swords menacingly, letting out evil sounding chuckles.

"You should really get a muzzle for the dog of yours…oh who am I kidding…

He's already dead…"

D-Don't trust him! Link is going to be just fine! Think Zelda, THINK!

T-The Sheikah slate!

I pull the Sheikah slate from my hip and tap quickly to switch out the runes. My hands are shaking from the fear, I can feel my face getting hot, sweat dripping down my face.

H-He's not dead…he can't be…

"You obviously don't know who you're talking about!" I snap back, pointing the Sheikah slate towards him.

"Stasis! STOP!"

Translucent yellow chains appear around the bulked up Yiga, stopping him in his tracks. I gasped for air, I wasn't sure that was going to work…

I have to act quickly! Grabbing three arrows from my quiver, drawing them back on my bow.

Please Goddesses…I beg of you…please let my power come through!

I close my eyes and quickly concentrate…envisioning Link getting hurt and his whole body covered in blood…I…I can't bear to lose him again…there's a faint light that emits in my mind, I take in a deep breath and slowly exhale. Opening my eyes and notice the three arrows slightly glowing.

Just in time.

The stasis is undone, and Sooga looks around slightly confused until he sees my bow drawn back.

I don't give him the chance to take a step further and release the sacred arrows. They whistle through the wind, a trail of light follows behind them and pierce Sooga in the chest. He lets out a pained cry, clutching at his chest as malice immediately begins sputtering out of his chest, and dissipates slowly from his body. The arrows continue to glow, beginning to purify his whole body.

The wind rushes from behind me, and I see a blur dash in front of me, followed by a loud slashing sound.

It's Link, with the Master sword burning a bright blue. Light trails from the blade cutting through Sooga's chest, and a mix of blood and malice bursts out. Link doesn't stop and continues laying down hits, the Master sword continues to glow brightly. Letting out a ringing noise with each hit. Eventually, Sooga falls down on his back, yelling out in agony. Link's body heaves, trying to catch a breath. His blue eyes pierce Sooga, clutching the Master sword and pointing the sacred sword to his face.

"Any…last words?" he says coldy.

"This isn't the end Hero…" Sooga retorts back, crawling back and clutches his chest. He reaches for something behind his back and throws down another smoke bomb. Link covers his face from the blinding flash.

When the smoke dissipates, Sooga is gone. Nowhere to be seen.

In a moment of relief, Link falls to his knees, coughing up blood profusely. Planting the Master sword in the ground for more leverage. I waste no time and hold Link close to me.

"Link! Hang on! We've gotta get you to Robbie…"

"I'm fine…the flame Zelda…I think the furnace is…" his voice trails off.

"Save your energy…I-I'll get it don't worry!"

I took out the torch, and ran over to the ancient furnace, the malice has completely disappeared from it and the blue flame burns brightly once again. I light the torch and walk back to Link, letting him wrap his arm on my shoulder, and we continue down the plateau.

It felt like an eternity until we made it to Robbie's, as we approached the furnace for Robbies lab. I light the furnace with the well-lit torch and can hear Robbie's cheer for joy through the doors. Link lets out a weak chuckle when hearing his child-like joy. We open the door and Robbie is staring at the modified guidance stone, Cherry. Stomping his feet happily, and his wife giving him a soft smile. She looks over to the furnace and rolls her eyes slightly, until she notices us at the doorway.

Jerrins eyes widened and looked at us in horror and pointed towards us,

"Robbie! Link is–"

"My HERO! I know—" he says joyfully and turns around to look at us. When he cuts himself off when seeing Link's condition, blood stains his face and his clothes. Link can no longer hold his weight, buckling his knees and keels over.

"LINK!" I cry, tears stream down my face. Robbie and Jerrin rush over to our side. They look at each other and nod their heads.

"He's dying Robbie, p-please, do something!"

"Not to worry Princess!" Robbie says confidently.

Jerrin takes Link out of my hands and carries him close to Cherry, Robbie follows right behind his wife, looking back over to me. Giving me a warm smile.

"Our Link is in good hands,"
