Chapter 3

Anger flared from her very core. Nothing brought to life the flame of hatred more than when someone embarrassed her. Turner dashed away from her, and she flew down the school hallway. Kids darted out of her path no one dared to get in her way. It was almost like all of this was planned. It irked her to an nth degree. Timmy, teenagers, Nascar, Football players. All of it conglomerated into a pure and utter stir of emotions she couldn't quite describe. She tripped on something which sent her sprawling towards the floor, "Why is everyone trying to make me have a bad day?" She kicked the dirt floor and her knees rubbed up against a brick. "God I'm miserable." Her eyes winded at her realization, "Oh no!"

"Oh yes," Splinter's voice appeared. Trixie looked at her in terror, "You know hun the next time you decide to make a bet. Make sure to set the parameters, and if you're going to ask the questions. Absolutely I did, the effect should wear off by tomorrow morning." With that Splinter raised her wand and poofed Trixie into some clean clothes, and spun the tape recorder in her hand. "Technology you just gotta love it. Man, you humans are truly a miraculous species."

"You planned this?" Trixie asked her.

"Oh big time," Splinter replied smilingly. "And guess what that means? That's right you get to have me. As your fairy godmother. Lucky you," Trixie groaned. "Relax. I'm going to erase everyone's memory of this. Once the day ends it will be like this day didn't happen. Though you'll remember it."

"Great," Trixie muttered. "Aren't you- you know what never mind. I have a loser to track down!" Splinter raised an eyebrow at her, but Trixie turned towards his general direction and chased after him. Though she clearly lost him, Splinter reappeared in her hands like a notebook. "Wait what? You can transform-" she ran directly into someone or something.

"Watch where you're going, freak," a woman's voice followed. Trixie groaned to see two people; twins. A sister and a brother. The brother looked at her and took a step back. He had black hair, blue eyes, and a similar bucktooth to the loser she was chasing. Who with this interruption escaped her grasp. He wore a pink shirt and jeans. His sister was the one that was loud," Hey loser answer me!" She had normal teeth, blue eyes and wore a white shirt with a plaid-colored skirt.

"Don't talk to me that way!" Trixie snapped, "Are you rich?" The girl looked at her with the most bewildered look.

"Are you mentally ill?" She asked.

"Uhh, Tammy I think we should go-"

"No, I'm not. Answer the damn question. Are you popular?"

"I don't believe so," Tammy snapped. "And as far as being rich not that I know off."

"Then don't talk to me losers!" With that, she pushed the girl into her brother which sent both of them stumbling towards the floor. "I hate these unpopular sometimes. Just because they catch a mistake thinking they can…"

"This means revenge!" Tammy screamed, "Come on Tommy." The brown-haired girl replied which only caused her brother to swallow the fear in his chest.

"Don't you even start!" Trixie snapped at her so-called godmother. It was officially she couldn't deny it any longer. She was having a bad day. The very word brought disgust to her lips. How was it that she, one of the richest, most popular, and prettiest people in Dimmesdale? Could end up having a bad day even if it was caused by a stupid bet. Her so-called godmother had attempted to start a conversation and she shut her down. Trixie wasn't even in the mood to have to deal with her. "I'm not in the mood to deal with such things."

"Why? Or are we still chasing after the boy in the pink hat?" She asked, Trixie only glared at her. "What? I got to know. Also, you might want to watch or don't listen to me." Trixie blinked only to shoot up into the air with a net surrounding her. Cursing under her breath; Splinter transformed into a flower from the bush where was the black brown-haired girl from earlier.

"Well, well, well who's the loser now?" Tammy said, smiling with a twitch in her right eye. "No one calls me a loser-"

"Security!" Trixie yelled at the top of her lounges. Tammy blinked for a moment only for her security guard to appear. He would always follow her from a safe distance so as to never disturb her. Nor was he partially bright. Tammy looked up to see that the sun was darkened and her security guard in the black tux picked her up. And threw her into the local trash can that was right next to them. Tammy could only grumble at something. "And get me out of here!"

"As you wish," the man mumbled. "And after this incident, I think we're done with the park…"

"And of course with this," Splinter said. Waving her wand, "Not a single person except for me and you remember what happened the other day." Trixie nodded her head towards her godmother. She was clearly ticked towards her godmother, but it did give her some relief. "Now then hun I want to give you a warning. There's a reason my name is Splinter. I'm a very hard fairy to get rid of and due to my circumstances. I have a lot of flexibility the other fairies don't. Is there anything that I need to know?"

"For one," Trixie replied. "Don't mess with my popularity. You are not allowed to follow me to school...unless I ask. And uh...don't do that again."

"Got it," Splinter replied. "Want to take the bus? Or want me to poof you to school?"

"Poof me," Trixie replied. With that, her godmother raised her wand and she appeared in the popular girl's bathroom. It was almost always empty which gave her a nice breath of relief. At least with a godparent, even if she didn't want one. One benefit would be the ability to be a little bit more privacy in her life. Though how she would go about explaining Splinter without revealing her would be up to debate. "You?" Trixie opened the door only to see the twins staring at her. "What are you losers doing here? I thought I left you in the trash where you belong."

"Only plotting my revenge," Tammy said smiling. "And anyway who are you? Are you some kind of movie star or something?" She was carefully following her from a distance. Tammy and Tommy approached her as Trixie walked over towards her locker. The fact that any of these losers were so close was a far cry from normalcy.

"Oh no," Trixie said annoyed. "Hello, I'm the fabulous, one-of-a-kind, Trixie Tang. The most popular girl in school." Tammy's eyes winded as she winced. "Security!" She shouted only for her bodyguard. Who was always around her locker, or at lunch. Cracked his knuckles.

"Oh come on!" Tammy screamed as she was thrown into the trash can. Trixie opened her locker only for a swarm of comic books to cover her body. Standing up from the mess she picked one of them up. Anger flared in her eyes as written on the Crimson Chin comic book (an issue she hadn't read) was the loser's name. Written in cursive handwriting that she could barely read. She looked up in anger.
