Chapter 5
Her eyes were staring into the empty void. As she laid on her bed staring off into her thoughts. This week has been a disaster. From her godmother to Turner and the twins. It was a miserable week she wanted to erase from her memories. To forget about all of her troubles, but unfortunately, she couldn't. It would only take a slight glance to see that her godmother was real. Why did this have to happen to her of all people? She was rich, popular, and rich. So why? "So you're just going to stare into the ceiling all day? Cause if that's the case no wonder you're so miserable. Why don't you go outside? Have a little pizza. Go flirt, meet uh whatever you ten-year-olds do. Instead of laying down and contemplating life. And I know just how to do that."
"I'm afraid to even ask," Trixie replied. "Look, I'm not making any wishes. I've already had a bad enough week as is. I don't need anything to make it worse."
"Come on it'll be fun all you gotta-"
"No," Trixie replied. "Now leave me alone." With that, she shifted her sights towards her other side. It was warm and comforting; she closed her eyes. Splinter just stayed silent. And Trixie drifted off to sleep without a care in the world. Today had been a miserable day for her. This had to be one of if not the worst week for her in the world. Hopefully, things would return to the future, even with an unwanted fairy. She awoke sometime later with a warm blanket that covered her body. And perfectly matched the color scheme of her room. Ugh, she felt better than before, but not by much. "What time is it?" She asked with a yawn.
"Around nine or so," Splinter replied. "You went to sleep so I just went to rest. Hope you like the blanket. Mama spent plenty of time making it." Her godmother replied. She was floating in the air with a book in one hand. The other was fixing her beret on top of her head. "So now that you have a day off and away from school...after you eat whatcha planning on doing? Mall? Boys? Come on talk, speak or...grant some wishes?" Trixie just shrugged her shoulders.
With that, she went about her normal routine. After eating a professionally made chef she returned to her room. "Ugh now, what do I do?" Trixie said plummeting onto her bed, "Personally I don't want to do anything." Splinter raised an eyebrow at the girl. "Ooh I know I can finally finish the comic run I've been reading." Before Splinter could say anything Trixie pulled out a large box. Inside was a bunch of comic books that were neatly kept in plastic books and organized. "Let's see... Ah, here it is."
"Ya know you could-"
"No," Trixie told her again. "Stop asking if you're annoying me. You may have tricked me and made me miserable for a week, but I'm not going to make any dumb wishes ever." With that, she pulled out two issues that were neatly kept in a plastic protective case. Sitting on her bed she flipped open one of the issues, tuning out her godmother. Who just sighed with that she picked up a book and started reading it to pass the time. "Oh come on," she grumbled. Splinter raised an eyebrow, "Alright. We're going to the mall, and no I'm not making a wish."
"Okay?" Splinter replied.
With that, Trixie walked over towards her closet and pulled out a backpack. A credit card and with that she went downstairs. After informing her bottle she went into the limousine. The entire time Splinter was following her godchild the whole way. Disguising herself as random objects blending in the background. "So let me guess. You're going to buy some more comics? Or are we going to find a-"
"Buying comics now shut up," Trixie replied. The driver raised an eyebrow, but the rest of the ride was silent.
She slipped out of the girl's bathroom from behind a bush. Fixing the red cap on top of her blue eyes was careful. Looking around, so far she was nowhere to be seen. With a breath of relaxation. Trixie stepped out of the bush wearing a pink turtleneck jacket with a red baseball cap with a 'D' on it. "Who are you looking for?" Splinter asked and Trixie just shook her head.
"I'm not looking for anyone," she explained. Her godmother appeared in the form of a backpack. "I'm trying to avoid a certain blonde-haired crazy. She's developed a kind of crush on me. No, I'm going to Comix, to pick up a few comics on my pull list. Due to having you, I wasn't able to pick it up." With that, she walked towards her comic shop without much thought.
"Hiya cute boy!" The chirpy voice from her blonde-haired best friend appeared. This was one of the reasons she'd dress up to hide the fact she was into nerdy hobbies. And this was one of the worst things about this. Veronica legit manly though she was a boy. "Who ya talking to? I thought I might catch you after you didn't show up on Wednesday. Which is when new comics drop." A frown formed on her face, "Eh you always make my dad better. Trix has been having a really bad day lately."
Trixie sighed, "I know this. I have things to do 'cute girl' no go away. No one likes you."
"But I like you," Veronica retired.
"I don't," Trixie said with her eyes crossing. "Look, I don't have time to talk to you. I got a few things to get then I gotta bounce." With that, she slipped away leaving Veronica to grumble to herself. "I swear I'm going to kill her one of these days." Splinter didn't even respond. After walking into the comix shop she approached the man behind the counter. "Heya Devon get me all the comics on my pull list."
"Sup Trevor," he leaned down. And slide a stack of comics that were still in the plastic wrapper over. "Since you've been such a loyal customer I'm knocking off a twenty. So one-eighty." With that, she pulled out her credit card and with that walked out only to run into him. Anger flared and he looked at her with a wince.
"Hello loser," she gritted her teeth. Timmy looked at her for a moment and with that Trixie stormed off. Leaving him to stand there confused, "I'm going to get my revenge soon. Real soon."
