Chapter 7

It was becoming an ever daunting thought. The last two weeks had been a gold mine for his research. If only he could put it into practice. Though with Trixie Tang being as miserable as she was. It was only going to make a push forward. "Quick Turner gets us out of here before she comes back. I don't like where this is going." The boy could only grumble with the amount of blood rushing towards their head. After running away from the girl both of them had been tied up and were now hanging upside down. And neither of them was really in the mood. For a girl who often came off as harmless, she was full of surprises.

"I can't feel my hands," Timmy retorted. "Man, why did you have to ruin this?" Crocker could roll his eyes.

"Oh boys I'm back," Trixie said. Behind her a group of professional boxers. "Told you I'd have one of the best punching bags in the world." Both Crocker and Timmy swallowed the fear in their stomach. "Go all the way out." With that Trixie dropped a suitcase filled with cash. "Have fun boys!"

"Thanks, Trix," that she walked out of the room. And the only thing that followed was one of the worst physical beatdowns. Neither of them had ever wished to happen.

Trixie couldn't deny it. Her godmother was a curse. How else was it possible for the last two weeks to be so miserable. Walking down the school hallways after dealing with the two losers. She had some dark thoughts that were hanging over her head. Some tough choices to make, like figuring out how to get rid of her godmother was a start. The scruff of shoes against the tile floor caught her attention and she turned around," Hiya Trix you okay?" Her blonde-haired best friend asked. "Anything like going on? You've been having some really hard times lately."

"I'm fine," Trixie said, gritting her teeth. Veronica raised an eyebrow at her but smiled.

"Well that's good," Veronica said smiling. "I've got the perfect thing to cheer you up. We're going shoe shopping right after class. Which is now...and we can even and hopefully see the totally cute boy!" Hearts formed in her eyes and Trixie just sighed at her. How anyone could be as dumb as she was lost? The fact she had to tolerate Veronica was a problem unto itself. "Promise you'll love him." With that before she could make any decisions or choices. Veronica grabbed her wrist and dragged her down the hallway. Leaving Trixie no choice, but to follow her.

Trixie was unhappy with her friend but forced a neutral look on her face. It was something that she could do so easily. Being popular had its perks, Veronica was looking around the mall happily. She shifted her head as she was on her path to find the ever-elusive 'cute boy'. "Why is he never hear," she grumbled. Finally snapping her hand back from her annoying best friends. With that, she slipped behind a bush as Veronica got lost in the dazzle of the crowd. Her eyes shifted to see her godmother appear out of nowhere. She was starting to become paranoid.

"Why are you here?" Trixie asked, "Nevermind do you have my backpack…" With that Spinter raised her wand and her backpack appeared. "Of course you do." Taking the backpack Trixie slipped into the bathroom. Switching into her other pair of clothes and with that slipped into the crowd. Allowing her to disappear amongst the crowd without having to deal with her annoying friend. "The one time having you around is useful."

"Cute boy!" Veronica called out, "Where are you?"

Splinter looked at her carefully as she was disguised as a book in her hand. "So what's up with blondey? You seem rather anxious to be around her." Trixie took a moment to respond and slipped down another corner.

"Her name is Veronica and she thinks I'm a guy. Which is the point of my costume too not to let my friends know it's me, but she's got a crush on me. Well, the 'cute boy' disguise. If she finds out it's me, my popularity is over." Splinter gave her that looked like she understood her. Trixie doubted, "I'm just not in the mood to deal with her or any of my friends."

"Sounds to me like you're not happy. You could always wish yourself home," Splinter suggested. Which Trixie promptly ignored.

"Oh no," Trixie muttered to herself. On the other side of the crowd that she was quickly approaching. It was Turner and Crocker which she had left to get beaten over by a group of professional boxers. "Why does this happen to me?" This had to be a set of irony she couldn't help, but a disguise. A mixture of fear, anger, and annoyance laced her face and so she looked towards the floor. If they acknowledged her or worse Veronica found her it was all over. How well she could muster with her mounting frustration it was difficult to say. The hair on the back of her neck was quickly rising as she passed over him, were they looking at her. Did they notice it was her? It was unknown stress that she held Splinter closer towards her chest. And lucky slipped away from the mall, away from them, and her annoying best friend.

"Huh," Timmy said uncertainly. He watched as Trixie was trying her hardest not to stand out of the crowd. Even with her earlier...revenge plot. He couldn't help but think she was cute. His godparents looked at him, but Trixie didn't say anything. Crocker raised an eyebrow at him.

"Something or someone you find interesting, Turner?" Crocker asked."Or did you see a certain rich spoiled brat walking down the mall? If so give me a heads up I'm not in the mood to deal with her again or did it have to do with the weird-looking kid who was talking to himself in the third person."

"Nothing," Timmy said. Quickly changing the subject, "Now let's go get those towels before the boxers get back." Crocker nodded his head and dashed away, neither of them wanted to deal with professional boxers. Trixie's bodyguard was bad enough.
