Chapter 8

It was a hopeless investment as she was creatively bankrupt. For the U.S. Trixie was officially bankrupt. Not a single idea was coming to mind and this agonizing grind had been going on for days. Without any progression, she couldn't come up with a villain design for her comic which was important. Her boat of creativity had hit the iceberg and sunk. Crumpling up the paper, throwing it near the wastebasket, and plummeted her head into her sketch set. Groaning, "It's official my years of drawing comics have come to an end! Ooh, what am I going to do?" Splinter didn't even raise an eye at the girl who was being overdramatic. "Where do you get inspiration to draw a supervillain? He needs to be menacing, competent, unfortunately, neither of my enemies in real life are that."

"Well," Splinter said. "Hun you've been hard at work working on that comic of yours. Why don't you take a break? Give your brain a rest if you overwork yourself you won't be able to make anything. On top of that stop being dramatic; and if you want some inspiration. Read some of your other comics, do some homework, make a wish. Do something other than what you've been doing. Overworking yourself is only going to cause problems. Relaxation is as important as hard, deep concentrated work."

"I told you I'm not making any wishes," Trixie retorted. "Anyway what exactly is a wish? Do you keep trying this doesn't have to do with you trying to make me miserable? I'm not falling for it."

Splinter shook her head, "A wish. Is a wish, not that hard. What you do is you think about it hun, say 'I wish' and follow up with your wish. Though there are still rules you have to follow, and no. Before you even think about it...you can get an unlimited amount of wishes. As long as I'm your godmother...though some god kids need to have a limit. It would help fix so many problems." Trixie raised an eyebrow at her, "I've already explained this to you. You can't wish to harm people, can't interfere with true love, and stuff like that. Other than that, as long as I approve it you can wish for pretty much whatever you want. From a simple diamond ring worth more than all the resources on planet earth to living in an alternate universe."

Trixie went silent for a moment, "Does the pink hatted loser have godparents? Or is that Crocker being a loon?"

"No hun," Splinter said. She put out a note, "Now. Remember I didn't 'tell' you hints 'tell' you. Now read this." With that, Trixie read over it and spoke it out loud.

"Oh my gosh! Timmy Turner has fairy godparents!" Trixie raised an eyebrow at her godmother.

"Wow," Splinter said. With that, she waved her hand, "And yes. Timmy Turner has Fairy godparents. Hun, before you ask. Yes, I know his godparents, and no I don't want to talk to them. Stay away from them. I'm a bit anti-social-"

"You talk to me just fine," Trixie pointed out.

Splinter nodded her head, "But you're my goddaughter. And a human is different. I'm not a big fan of the fairy race. And yes Turner has godparents, yes you could theoretically interact with them, but I'd advise against it… What are you thinking?" Trixie grinned at herself.

"I've finally figured out your evil plot," Splinter just facepalmed. "You're in cahoots with Turner and his godparents to make me miserable. Which is why since I've got you...you've made me miserable. I won't fall for it!" Splinter just sighed at her goddaughter. Well, she was certainly determined that's for sure.

"I'm not even going to bother…"

"Hello Ms. Tang," Crocker said with a devious smile across his face. Trixie looked at the man with a bewildered look. It had been a few days since he dared talk to her after their last 'incident'. She didn't like where this was going, "I'd like you to sit in the front of class from now on." It was a real skill to keep one's face so straight and to act so indifferently. Something that after a while one would acquire without much care. "Somewhere in the front row. I've come to notice that you don't pay attention in class...and think it would be better if you weren't always distracting the kids in the back."

"Whatever," Trixie said. Flicking her hair, "After all I am adorable. Plus it would be better to get the proper lighting. It would only help to emphasize how beautiful I am." With that, she walked over and found the very center of the front row. Which was currently occupied by Timmy's blonde-haired best friend. Who grew up in a trailer park, "Alright loser out of my seat. All three of you! Or I'll have my bodyguard come in… that's what I thought." The two kids and some unknown background character quickly scurried away. With that she sat down, Crocker just rolled his eyes. "Hiya Tad, Hiya Chad want to sit next to me? Crocker's making me move to the front of the classroom."

Trixie pouted and both of the boys turned towards her, "Of course!" They said in sync, "Gosh you're pretty." It was always nice to hear such compliments. Especially compared to the last two weeks. Almost 14 days' worth of misery and this was the small blimp that would keep her afloat. Crocker just frowned but got distracted by two students with who he had to answer some questions.

"Uhh Trix why are you in the front? I thought we sat in the back...away from the crazy man." Veronica replied. Which caught Trixie's attention, "Where am I supposed to sit?" Trixie thought for a moment.

"In the back where we usually sit," Trixie suggested.

"Oh," Veronica said. With that, Trixie returned to her conversation with her two friends. "I guess I'll see ya later then?"

It should've been a warning sign the moment he asked her to sit in the front of the classroom, but she thought nothing of it. Crocker shut down the class conversations and it was the first time something went amiss. Her sketch set which she used to pass time wasn't with her. Usually, Splinter would have poofed it over to her by now, but sitting this closer to the loser. It wasn't something she was willing to risk. "So tell me Ms. Tang what's the capital of every U.S state, and territory." She just stayed quiet and looked at the man who just gave up after a while, but only for the day.
