Chapter 13

Even if her dream was pleasant it was destroyed by harsh reality. Her mother was standing on the side of her bed shaking her awake. "Wake up Trixie," which only caused her to shift in bed. And covered her body with the blanket, nothing made her more mad than being awoken from her slumber. "Come on Trixie, you have school remember?" Grumbling, she moved away from her mother's grasp, "either get up or I'll douse you with water." With that her mother snatched the blanket that Splinter had poofed up for her. And unfortunately her mother would do that.

"Let me sleep," Trixie said grumbling.

"Sorry I can't do that," her mother replied. "You have school in a little while and you're not up yet. So get up already, don't wake up your sisters." Her mother said; finally groaning. Trixie slipped the covers off her bed and with that her mother left her room. Which gave Trixie aquate time to take everything in. All of this was real, but it was going to be a while for her to take the full thing in. After doing her morning routine the ten year old made herself down stairs. To see her mother was fiddling with something in the corner of the room. "Well we need to go shopping after school so you have to have cereal for breakfast. On the bright side I got your favourite brand."

"Okay," Trixie said awkwardly. She followed her mother who walked into the kitchen who placed the bowl on the table. It took her a moment to fumble with the cereal to pour it, plus some help with her mother. Which only got her mother to chuckle at her, "Can't I have at least some fresh belgian waffles? Or a flurry with rare and extoric spices?"

"I have no idea what kind of request that is, but I can get you waffles. Also Trix put your bowl in the sink when you're done," her mother turned and Trixie looked confused.

"What why? Don't we have a maid for that?" Her mother turned towards her and raised an eyebrow.

"Are you trying to impress someone?" Her mother asked, "Umhh Trixie just eat your cereal before it gets soggy. And to answer your question no we don't have a maid we're not rich. We're middle class." With that her mother walked off leaving Trixie to eat the cereal all to herself. Grumbling Trixie ate in silence and dropped the bowl away. Taking in everything slowly; so what was she going to do? Without her godmother, the pink hatted loser was nowhere to be found. She went about her normal routine when her mother returned from one of the rooms in the house.

It was going to take time to get used to the small layout of her house. "Alright ready to go?" Trixie looked at her mother bewildered, "For school Trix." Sighing, the ten year old nodded her head. "Well good let's go before the twins wake up," with that the two of them left the house. Leaving the sleeping four year olds alone to sleep and her mother drove her to school. Which was only a twenty minute drive from the house, but something was nagging at the back of Trixie's neck. After leaving her mother who drove off. Leaving her to face the school which was again mostly empty.

"What am I forgetting?" She muttered to herself. As she walked into the school hallway alone.

After taking a sharp turn an unfamil voice greeted her, "Well looky girls who walked right in." As a group of shoes followed…

It took her five minutes to regather herself. This was the second time anyone had ever… she couldn't even describe it. Her, out of everyone who deserved to be hurt, why her? She had to be the most important person in the world, but there was nothing she could do. Walking into the classroom once again late; she spotted him instantly. And if it were for her being so shaken she would've blown up on him. After only giving him a glare she moved past the delusional teacher without even replying. To be honest Trixie felt a weird sense of fear, anxiety and something else. An emotion she couldn't describe with any words.

Never in her life had she been so happy to see the raggy old car her mother drove. Even if it wasn't fancy it was something she could disappear into. Her mother waved like an idiot, but Trixie just took the passenger seat. Sighing, she opened the door and dropped the backpack onto the floor. Which then raised a thought as she had a locker in school. "HIya Trixie!" Both of her twin sisters shouted in sync turning her head towards the two of them who were smiling.

"Hi?" She said uncertain.

"You okay?" Her mother asked. "You seemed a bit shaken, did anything happen?" Trixie shook her head, and put the seatbelt over her chest. Being in the car with her mother, even if it wasn't the one she knew, was soothing. Her mother didn't even move the car and her sisters were staring at her, but quietly starting talking amongst each other. "Did you meet someone? Or…"

"I have no idea what you are talking about," she replied.

Sighing, her mother put the car into gear and pulled out of the parkway. Away from her troubles. Her mother attempted to make small talk the entire way home, but ended up answering a few of her little sisters' questions. Once she got her hand on Turner or Splinter she was going to kill them. No one ruined her life; no one. Trixie dropped her backpack onto the couch. Now what did she do? With that she went wandering her new middle-class lifestyle. Her two sister's trailing her, "What are you looking for?"
Trixie shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know. I'm just exploring the house, and why are they following me?" She asked, pointing to the two four year old's. Both of which were quiet.

"Their your sister's Trixie, and their four. Enough said your walking around like you've never been here before. So they're more than likely curious, so instead take your sister's go do the dishes." Trixie looked at her mother, "And no Trixie we don't have a maid or a butler."

"Right," Trixie said, groaning. "But I don't-"

"Well if you spent less time in your room. You'd remember how too, don't worry your sister's can teach you." After she protested and it failed she spent an hour doing dishes with her sister. Getting more of her clothes wet than the dishes, which too say was the start of her troubles.
