Chapter 20
Splinter could only grin as her goddaughter couldn't help herself, but ramble. On and on about luxury hotels. Most of which came from experience; one thing was certain. As much as the godmother despised her species. Having magic did occasionally…sometimes have fringe benefits. Her sisters just sat there listening to the 10 year old ramble. It was a 2 ½ hr long drive to Dimmesdale National Park. Elizabeth Tang's eyes could only twitch at this, "You know I wanted her to talk more, but this is…exactly what I asked for. Is this what you do with your free time? Looking up obscure and irrelevant information about luxury hotels? Why can't you be like a normal 10 year old?"
"What is that supposed to mean?" Trixie asked. The sun had set and things were getting dark, "And are we there yet?"
"Don't wake up your sisters," Elizabeth said. Trixie frowned as Splinter snuggled into Trixie's chest and closed her eyes. "And what I mean is why can't you be like a normal 10 year old girl? Obsess over boys, or shopping. Not stuff about luxury hotels. Seriously, who's into that?"
"Me," Trixie said. "We used to go to them all the time back when we were rich. And we use to live-"
"Are you still on that?" Her mother asked, annoyed. "Give it up already, we've never been rich and we will never be rich. Would it be nice? Sure, but it wouldn't change much. And we're not going to a luxury hotel. We're going camping. Camping, outside. In a tent without electronics or any of that. You do know this right?"
"What?" Trixie asked as her father pulled the car into a secret camping spot. "What do you mean we're not going to a luxury hotel? I thought we were going camping?"
"We are, and we're here. And no Trixie you can't stay in the car either; it gets too cold at night. Your dad and I will have the tent up and the beds ready in less than an hour." Trixie looked around and realized they were in the middle of a forest, without electronics. WIthout anything. No buttler only her parents, sisters and the great outdoors. With the bugs, and dirt to ruin it. How was she supposed to work on her comic without the comforts of her room or get revenge on the one who ruined her life? Trixie growled under her breath in silence. Splinter had a smile across her furry face. Watching as her godchild was slowly drowning in her own misery.
Timmy Turner took a sharp turn as he dashed down a long winded alleyway. Before finally dodging behind a giant green garbage bin. Sweat was pouring down his forehead as Francis entered the alleyway. "Get out now Turner. It's 3:30 time for your weekly beating." The bully slammed his fist into one another as Timmy was quiet, but the sounds of more footsteps followed. Glancing from his peephole Francis looked baffled as him. As Jessica and her goons emerged from the shadows. Fear arose in his eyes.
Everyone knew who Jessica was. The school devil, "Well Well Well. Just the fool I was looking for."
"Ma'am why would you want to talk to me?" Francis asked, which got a smirk from Timmy's face. Even he wasn't stupid enough to battle with the devil. Who's horns would pierce every any enemy with a vicious jealousy. "I didn't do anything to you." He was shivering in his boots.
"You see I have a problem," she said. "A certain girl who's been terrorizing my life and I need her destroyed."
"Ah ah girl?" He said and looked back as the rest of Jessica gang followed suit. "What would you want from me?" A grin appeared across the womans' face.
"That's for me to know. Now come along if you know what's good for you," with that she walked away. "Come along Francis, you can leave the dregs of society alone." With that Francis nodded head and followed the girl. Timmy popped his head out a little confused. Why would Jessica want to deal with Francis? Whatever, with that he took a step out. Now he only had to deal with Trixie and he'd be golden for the rest of the day minus Vicky of course.
Finally after coming out of the alleyway, "Hey Timmy what are you doing in the alleway? Running from Francis I presume." Chest said and Timmy nodded his head, "So what saved you? He surely should've pounded you into fine toothpaste."
"I hid behind the trash can," Timmy said. "But the weird thing ever happened. Jessica and her possy showed up to talk to Francis."
"Essh I feel bad for Trixie Tang," AJ added. "Are you telling me you don't know? Trixie Tang and Jessica are sworn enemies. Rumor has it the two of them used to be best friends and others say she's jealous. Either way they've been at each other's throats for years."
"I didn't know that," Timmy said. "I thought Trixie was just crazy."
"Dude you act like you know Trixie," Aj pointed out.
"I do," Timmy said, annoyed. "She's the one who's constantly threatening to ruin my life."
"Oh you do you? Just like how you have an imaginary girlfriend?" Chester said annoyed, "Then prove it. I'll bet you $5 by the end of the week. If Trixie Tang doesn't talk to you your a liar."
"Oh I'll jump on in this bet. Everyone knows Trixie Tang's mute and has no friends. I'll throw in $10." TImmy grinned a free $15 plus he had a box of chocolates on the ready.
"You're both on," Timmy said. Only to receive laughter and mockery from his friends. How easy could this be?
Eventually Trixie crashed from exhaustion only to wake up the next morning. She was lying on a cot with a sleeping back over her head. Somehow her clothes had been changed into pajamas. The 10 year old opened her eyes to see she was inside a tent and grumbled. Only to see her godmother who was floating in her fairy form with a book in her hand. How many could read as much as she did was beyond her understanding, "Ugh where am I?"
"Morning hun. Your parents and sisters outside cooking. So want mama to whip you up something special? Perhaps a special wish," Splinter said, trying to edge her way into a wish. Which only made her receive a glare from Trixie, "Well it was worth a shot."
"I told you no and that's final!" Trixie was getting frustrated with her godmother. How many times did she have to repeat herself before Splinter got the memo. She was never going to make any wishes. Well not until she got her old life back; with a mansion and a million adoring fans. With her popularity rustling noise came from outside and Splinter transformed back into her cat form. With the green collar as her mother and sisters emerged.
"Morning grouchie!"
Trixie looked at them confused, "I am not grouchie! Your the ones who tricked me into going camping and not to a luxury hotel."
"Relax your sister going to be like this all week. Everytime we go camping she gets like this. Remember Trixie this is an entire week that you don't have to go to school. We made pancakes for breakfast." Trixie groaned this was going to be a long week. A very long and very miserable one at that.
