Took my kids to the park yesterday. As I sat watching them play, I came up with this. Hope you enjoy it!

"Hey, Rikku." Tidus began one day. They were lying in the sand on the beach of Besaid. Yuna was playing in the water with Wakka, Lulu and their son.
"What's up?"
"Something I've been wondering. I know Yuna used the sword Wakka gave me when she fought Vegnagun. But I wondered, was their any special weapon you used to fight with?"
Rikku blushed as she thought about his question. "Well actually, yeah. There was." She confessed.
"Really?" Tidus sat up to listen better as she told him all about it.
"There once was a man. He was a good fighter of his time. Maybe one of the best. He was a master of the heavy sword. Some say the sword was over five feet long, and three feet wide.
One day he disappeared after a great battle. Only those who were closest to him knew the truth. To the rest of Spira, he merely vanished. But before he left he gave away one of his most prized swords to a young girl."
Tidus let out a few hums in thought as he listened. The story was starting to sound familiar to him.
"She learned how to use the weapon, and soon became quite adept with it. Though still never as good as its original master. Soon the day of the final battle came. A battle one thousand years old. She pulled out his sword at the sound of his voice. It encouraged her, helped her to defeat the monster."
"Rikku, that battle, and that sword?"
She nodded. "Yeah. The sword was masamune. And the master, his nameā¦.was Auron."
