A Happy Easter Duel

It's been almost a week since the key keepers defeated the third Shadow Rider (And saved a controlled Mahiru in the process). It's been very peaceful during this time to their relief. In the Academy building, we can find Jaden and Andrew sitting on their beds in the infirmary, allowing Ms. Fontaine to give them some tests, so she could be sure that they were fit enough to resume their normal schedule. And after a short while...

"Alright, everything seems to be in order." The Obelisk Headmistress announced.

"So, we're free to go now?" Jaden asked.

Fontaine gave him smile. "Yes, you are. Since it's weekend now, I suggest the two of you take it easy and don't put too much stress on yourselves. Especially you…" She turned to Andrew who nodded to her.

"I understand. Thank you." He then glanced at Atticus and Kaito. "And how are those two doing?"

Fontaine looked at the sleeping students. "They have become slightly better, but they still need more time to recover."

"I see." The Ra and Slifer stood up. "Thanks again, Ms. Fontaine."

The headmistress smiled again. "It's no problem. Now off you go."

That was their cue as the boys left the infirmary.

Jaden found himself outside the Slifer dorm, where he decided to lean against a tree and relax. "Man, it's nice to be back at the best dorm at campus.

Syrus and Chumley showed up at that moment. "Glad to have you back, Jay." The former said.

"Yeah, it's been almost boring without you around here." The latter added.

"Well, now I'm here. And there's nothing to ruin this sweet moment." Jaden said with his hands behind his head.

"I thought I heard your voice." Someone spoke up. The trio turned around and saw a certain, purple-haired shortie, who seemed to be carrying some books and papers in his hands.

"Oh, hey Matt. What's up?" Jaden greeted.

"Well, I just came here to give you this…" He replied as the placed the books and papers right next to his fellow Slifer.

Jaden blinked. "Um, what's this?"

Matt smirked. "Homework."

The one word that caused the hero duelist to pale.

"If you have time to relax, you should spend that time to do some homework. The teachers said it needs to be finished before the end of next week. Good luck." At that, Matt walked away. And even though he never turned back, he held back a laughter as he imagined Jaden crying with anime tears.

Meanwhile, Andrew was relaxing in his room, laying on his bed. And, for some reason, he was staring at his cellphone. It was showing a picture of Shiori, Matt and himself, smiling as they held up what looked like plastic eggs that had cards inside them. He smiled slightly at this picture. It was then his peaceful moment was interrupted by a knocking sound from his door.

"Come in!" He called out. The door opened up, revealing a certain redhead.

"Hey Andrew." Clover greeted.

"Hey Clover." He placed his cellphone next to him as he sat up. "What brings you here?"

"Well, for starters, I heard that you were released from the infirmary, and wanted to see how you were doing."

"How nice of you. As you can see, I'm doing fine." Andrew replied, but he then rubbed a hand against a burn mark on his left cheek. "Well, mostly."

Clover nodded. "That's good to hear. Oh, and also…" She walked up to him and held up some books and papers. "During the time you and Jaden spent in the infirmary, you missed some important lectures."

Andrew almost gave her an awkward smile as he took them. "I see. I guess it can't be helped."

"Yeah, tough break." Clover noticed his cellphone, and curiosity got the better of her as she noticed the picture it was showing. "That's a nice picture you got there."

Andrew blinked before he smiled and grabbed it. "Oh, you mean this? That's just a reminder of the fun me and the others had at the Easter festival."

Now that made Clover really curious. "Easter festival? Is that how Duel Academy celebrates Easter?"

"We sure do. Doesn't that happen at North Academy?"

"No, not really. Sure, we did have day off and had some Easter candy, but that's pretty much it."

Andrew frowned. "Really? That sounds almost boring."

Clover sighed. "Yeah more or less. But tell me, how was the Easter festival?"

Andrew smiled. "Well, it was exciting. Some games, food stands, not to mention an interesting main event...

Flashback

It was a bright day, and everyone was celebrating Easter Eve. At the beach, there were stand placed around the place, where anyone could either play some carnival games, or get some food. Including some Easter candy.

"Never thought it would be an Easter festival at Duel Academy." Andrew mused as he took a bite of a chocolate bunny.

"Me neither, not that I'm complaining." Shiori replied, enjoying some soda.

"Yeah, I mean, what's a better way to celebrate Easter?" Matt added as he ate a sandwich.

"So…" Andrew turned to his friends. "What's next?"

"Maybe that Roulette Spider game?" Matt suggested.

"Or Whack the Dark Rabbit?" Shiori said.

Andrew thought about the options, but he was interrupted the voice of Chancellor Sheppard.

"Attention, students! I have an announcement to make!" At those words, all students gathered around the Chancellor, who was standing on a scene with some kind of monitor behind him. "I see that everyone's been enjoying the festival so far. That's good. Now then, as many of you know, there are some traditions people follow during Easter. One particular tradition is... Egg hunting." The students started to mutter to each other at this. "Well, as you know, a regular egg hunting is about to find easter eggs that are hidden. But… we, Duel Academy, have come up with a different version.

He stepped aside so everyone could the monitor turning on and showing something. It was the counter girl from the card shop. Smiling to the camera, she held up what looked like a plastic egg. Everyone watching noted the card inside it. Sheppard spoke up again. "All the faculty members hid plastic eggs, at many different places on the island. Each egg contains a duel monster card. So, for this egg hunting, you get to try and find as many eggs as you can. Of course, you get to keep the card inside each egg. However, there's a special prize for the one who manages to gather most eggs." The monitor showed the counter girl walk to the right, and stopped as she was now standing next to a display case. Ms. Dorothy could be seen, waving with a smile as she was standing behind it. The display case contained rows of more Duel Monsters cards. "The person who gathers most eggs gets a card of their choice from this display case!"

Many student let out an 'ohh' due to the revelation.

Just a small distance away from Andrew and the others, Jaden was seen, getting excited by this. "Sweet! Now that is my kind of egg hunting."

Sheppard spoke up again. "You got 1 hour to find eggs. When the time is up, We will count the number of eggs that each of you have gathered. Good luck, everyone! The egg hunting begins… now!"

And so, students looked around in many places, searching for eggs. Some of them managed to find a couple of them. As for Andrew, Shiori and Matt...

"And here's egg number 4." Andrew declared as he picked up said egg from a bush.

"Oh yeah? I've got 6!" Shiori said as he proudly held up a plastic bag, containing his own eggs.

"15 eggs!" Matt's voice called out. The two Ras turned to the source of the voice, and sure enough, he was carrying his own plastic bag, full of more eggs than they had.

"Whoa! You're on a roll, Matt!" Shiori commented.

The flip duelist shrugged. "Well, this isn't my first egg hunting. Back at home, the neighbors always have egg hunting every year. And for each year, I've became better at finding eggs."

"Yeah, I can tell." Andrew noted. "I bet you might win this. Come on, we still got 40 minutes left."

His friends nodded as they spread out to find more eggs.

Somewhere else, an Obelisk Blue girl with white hair in a french bob hair cut and pink eyes picked up an egg she found at a corner of the Academy building. "Egg 20." She said to herself with a smile. "There's no way I'm gonna lose this."

The egg hunting went on smoothly. And once the time ran out, all participants gathered at a stand on the beach, where the person running it counted the number of eggs found by each participant. After that, everyone waited anxiously for the result. After a while, Sheppard came up to the stage once again.

"Now then, the egg hunting is over. It's time to see who's gathered most eggs. And the winner is…" The monitor turned on once again. This time, the names of all participants, and the number of eggs they gathered. Andrew noticed that he ended up at 16th place, due to his success of finding 21 eggs. And Shiori on 12th place, due to his success of finding 24 eggs. But what everyone was focusing on was the first place. And the one who ended up there was... more than one person?

"What's this? Looks like we got two people who managed to find enough eggs to end up in first place!" Sheppard said. "For finding 30 eggs each, we have... Matt Collins!"

Andrew and Shiori smiled at their little friend who looked proud at his accomplishment.

"And the other one is... Alicia Usagi!" Most of the students, mainly girls, had their attention focused on the one with white hair and pink eyes, who smiled as well.

"Looks like it's a tie." Shiori commented.

"I wonder what they'll do about this?" Matt mused.

Sheppard and some of the other staff members where whispering to each other, debating on what to do. After a few moments, the Chancellor turned back to the students. "We have decided how to settle this matter." He announced. He gave them a dramatic pause before speaking up again. "To break the tie... Matt and Alicia are going to duel for the grand prize!"

Now that got everyone excited.

"A duel!?"

"For real!?"

"Awesome!"

Matt was more surprised than excited. "A duel? Not that I mind to duel someone, but…"

"Sweet!" Jaden popped out from nowhere, startling the trio. "Looks like you get shine, Matt! Now go out there and get your game on!"

The trio sweat dropped at his antic. Andrew voiced their thoughts: "Why am I not surprised?"

And so, Matt and his opponent, Alicica, took their positions with their duel disks on. Everyone else gathered around those two in a circle. Alicia eyed at her opponent curiously.

"I've heard a few things about you. Rumor has it that you were good enough to become a Ra Yellow, but started at the Slifer Red dorm, instead. Why is that?"

Matt smirked as he answered. "I just want to prove that even low ranked duelists got the skills to become winners. That's what I'm aiming for."

The white-haired girl smiled in interest. "Is that so? Well then… let's see if you got the skills to back those words up."

Sheppard stepped forward to announce the match. "And now, the dueling match to determine the winner of the contest is about to begin. Duelists! Get ready!"

Both of them drew their opening hands.

"Good luck." Matt said.

"Thanks. You too." Alicia responded.

"And now… duel!" Sheppard stepped away.

Matt: 4000

Alicia: 4000

"Me first!" Alicia said as she drew her sixth card. "I play facedown monster in defense mode. Then I'll end my turn with another card facedown." Two cards appeared in front of her.

"A facedown monster, huh?" Matt mused as he drew. "Let me show you how I do it. First, I play a facedown monster of my own." A facedown card appeared in front of him. "And then I activate the spell card Book of Taiyou. With this, I can flip up one facedown monster into attack mode. And guess what. I'm using it on my own monster." The card in question flipped up and revealed a certain blue-skinned fiend with golden armor, green sleeves and red pants. (ATK: 1900 DEF: 400 LV: 4) "This is Slate Warrior, and he has a flip effect. He gains 500 attack and defense points." (ATK: 1900-2400 DEF: 400-900) "And to spice things up a bit, I'll equip him with the spell card Fairy Meteor Crush." A spell card appeared behind the fiend. "With this in play, when he attacks a monster in defense mode, the difference between his attack points and your monster's defense points are dealt to you as damage."

Alicia gasped.

"Now, Slate Warrior, attack her facedown monster!" The fiend dashed towards Alicia's monster.

"I activate my trap!" Her other facedown card flipped up. "Enchanted Javelin! This trap card increases my life points by the attack points of your attacking monster."

Alicia: 4000-6400

Matt noted that his monster got closer to her facedown monster. "Doesn't seem to stop my attack though."

It was then the card flipped up to reveal her monster. It was a white, robotic bunny with some yellow lines and its forehead covered by the words 'LOVE IT' in blue bold letters. (ATK: 800 DEF: 100 LV: 2) Slate Warrior landed a punch on it.

Alicia: 6400-4100

"That bunny doesn't seem so jumpy." Matt quipped.

But Alicia smirked. "Are you sure?"

Matt blinked at her question before he saw the bunny jump up in the air.

"My Mecha Bunny has a special ability. When it's flipped face-up, I get to pick a card on the field, and deal its controller 500 points of damage. And I choose, Slate Warrior!"

Matt braced himself as the bunny's eyes glowed brightly before they shot out lasers at him, making him wince.

Matt: 4000-3500

And then, the bunny exploded. "And there's more. When it's destroyed in battle, I can take another Mecha Bunny from my deck and summon it facedown." A new facedown card appeared on Alicia's field.

"That's not good." Matt muttered. "I end my turn with a facedown." A card appeared at his feet.

"Back to me then." Alicia drew. "I flip up my Mecha Bunny." The robotic bunny rose up again. (ATK: 800 DEF: 100 LV: 2) "And you know what that means. For one of your cards, you take another 500 points of damage." The bunny fired lasers at the flip duelist.

Matt: 3500-3000

"And then I summon Blade Rabbit in attack mode." The robotic bunny was joined by a rabbit with an eye patch over its right eye. It kinda looked adorable... except for it teeth that were actually sword blades. (ATK: 400 DEF: 300 LV: 2) "Then I'll place two cards facedown and end my turn." Two cards appeared behind the one-eyed rabbit.

"I draw…" Matt began his turn...

"I activate Zero Gravity!" One of Alicia's facedown cards flipped up. "This trap card forces all monsters on the field to switch modes. So all monsters on the field are now in defense mode." All three monsters on the field crouched down. "And this activates Blade Rabbit's special ability."

"Its what?" Matt asked surprised.

"When it goes from attack to defense mode, one monster on your field is destroyed." Blade Rabbit jumped leapt in the air and landed on Slate Warrior's back, before it sank its teeth into it, causing him to explode.

"Whoa! She's good." Shiori commented.

"You got that right. And they say bunnies are harmless." Andrew added.

"Not bad." Matt complimented. "But I still got a few tricks up my sleeve. I summon Spirit of the Fall Wind in attack mode." The monster that appeared was a little girl in a light-green dress that seemed to be made of petals. Her long hair had the same color and had some petals attached to it. (ATK: 1800 DEF: 900 LV: 4) Many girls let out an 'Aww' upon seeing such an adorable girl appear.

Alicia reacted the same way. "Aww, she's so cute~."

Matt smiled. "Thanks, but she's got more than looks. When she's normal summoned, I can take a flip effect monster from my deck and add it my hand." He searched through his deck and took the card he wanted. "And I choose Cyber Jar."

That made Alicia wary.

"And now, I'll attack! Spirit of the Fall Wind, destroy her Blade Rabbit!" The little girl blew some sparkly dust from her hands that covered the one-eyed rabbit before it exploded. "And with that I'll end my turn…"

"Just a moment! I activate my trap…" Alicia's facedown card flipped up. "It's called Labyrinth of Nightmare. During the end of each turn, all face-up monsters the turn player controls have to switch modes. And since your turn comes to an end, your Spirit must switch to defense."

Matt watched as his monster kneeled down and crossed her arms.

"Now then." Alicica drew. "First I'll switch Mecha Bunny back to attack mode." The robotic bunny rose up. "Then I activate Graceful Charity. This lets me draw three cards, and then discard two." She drew her extra cards, looked at them, and then discard the two cards she wanted to get rid of. And right after that moment, an image of a spell card appeared. "And look at that! One of the cards I discarded was the Card of Compensation, and when I send this card from my hand to the graveyard, I get to draw two more cards." She drew. "And now I play Monster Reborn in order to bring back Blade Rabbit!" The one-eyed rabbit appeared again. (ATK: 400 DEF: 300 LV: 2) "And then, I'll end my turn, which means my trap card makes my monsters switch modes." The two rabbits crouched down again. "And as you know, my Blade Rabbit destroys one of your monsters after it switched to defense mode." At that, Spirit of the Fall Wind exploded.

"What a nasty rabbit." Matt muttered as he drew. "But it won't be around for much longer. I summon Cyber Jar in attack mode!" Many people were surprised to see him summon a certain one-eyed space pod the way he did. (ATK: 900 DEF: 900 LV: 3)

"Huh? Why did he do that?" Andrew wondered.

"Good question." Shiori replied. "It's better to place that monster facedown instead of summon it face-up. I mean, sure, he probably wants to attack that rabbit, but still…"

"Cyber Jar, attack her Blade Rabbit!" The space pod shot out a green laser from its eye and destroyed the one-eyed rabbit. "Then I'll end my turn with a card facedown." Another facedown card appeared at Matt's feet. And then, due to Alicia's trap card, an image of Cyber Jar's card appeared under it, meaning it just switched to defense mode.

"I don't know what your game is, but don't think you can defeat me so easily." Alicia warned him as she drew her next card. "I summon Inaba White Rabbit!" A small, white rabbit appeared with a strange device it was hanging on. It had purple eyes. (ATK: 700 DEF: 500 LV: 3)

"Really?" Matt raised an eyebrow. "Another rabbit?"

Alicia smiled sweetly. "What can I say? I really like rabbits. And this one is my favorite. Inaba White Rabbit can jump over your monster and attack you directly."

The flip duelist widened his eyes.

"Alright Inaba, attack!" Suddenly, the device the rabbit hung onto started to launch itself like a rocket, carrying the rabbit with it and straight into Matt, who wheezed by the impact.

Matt: 3000-2300

The rabbit flew back to Alicia's field. "With that done, I'll switch Mecha Bunny to attack mode." The robotic bunny rose up again. She then inserted a card into her duel disk. "I play a facedown and end my turn, which means Mecha Bunny goes back to defense mode." The named monster crouched down again. "And as for Inaba White Rabbit, it has another special ability. At the end of the turn it was summoned to the field, it goes back to my hand." The rabbit became a light orb and turned into a card when it returned to her hand.

"Ah, a Spirit monster." Andrew realized.

"Spirit monster?" Shiori repeated. He then widened his eyes in realization. "Oh! You mean those that are known for returning to the hand at the end of the turn they are summoned."

"Exactly." Andrew nodded.

"Okay then." Alicia said. "Now it's your…" She stopped in mid sentence when she noticed a face-up spell card on Matt's field. "What's that?"

Matt gave her a smug look. "This is one of my facedown cards, which I chose to activate when your rabbit pulled a Houdini. Book of Moon. With this spell card, I can flip a monster on the field facedown. Can you guess who?"

Alicia glanced at the monster on her field. 'Mecha Bunny is obviously not the one. So what could be…' She widened her eyes. 'Wait a minute!' She then turned to Matt's field and looked at the monster on his field… Only, it was replaced by a facedown card. She gasped when she realized it.

"That's right. I chose my Cyber Jar. So…" He drew a card. "How about we let it reveal itself again?" The card flipped and the space pod appeared again. (ATK: 900 DEF: 900 LV: 3) "And now, due to its special ability, all monsters on the field are destroyed." Cyber Jar and Mecha Bunny exploded.

Alicia pouted cutely. "No fair."

"But maybe this will cheer you up. After Cyber Jar destroys all monsters with its effect, we get to pick up 5 new cards." Matt took the 5 top cards from his deck. "And then, we can bring out any level 4 or below monster, and we can choose to place each monster on the field face-up attack mode, or facedown defense mode." He looked at his new cards. "Hmm. Looks like I got 3 monsters I can play. And I think I'll place them all on the field facedown." Three facedown monsters appeared on his field.

Alicia picked up 5 new cards and looked at them. When she saw what she got, she smiled brightly. "Ooh! I got 4 monsters to play. I place this one facedown…" A facedown monster appeared. "And I'll play all the others in attack mode. Dark Rabbit times 3!" And from a puff of smoke, a trio of a certain, cartoonish rabbit appeared, laughing ridiculously. (ATK. 1100 DEF: 1500 LV: 4) x3

Matt looked at them weirdly. "Really?"

"Wow. She really likes rabbits, huh?" Shiori commented.

"She's probably got tons of them in her deck." Andrew added.

"There are too many rabbits for my taste." Matt commented before he held up a card. "I activate the spell card, Magical Stone Excavation. By discarding two cards from my hand, I can take back a spell card from my graveyard." He discarded two of his cards and let a certain spell card come out of the graveyard slot. "And I choose, Book of Taiyou. And now I'll use it to reveal one of my facedown monsters…" The card on the far left flipped up and revealed a familiar, blue-skinned old man in red robes with a lightning bolt shaped staff in his hand. (ATK: 1500 DEF: 1300 LV: 4)

"Is that The Immortal of Thunder?" Alicia asked.

Matt nodded. "Yup, and you probably know his flip effect. I gain 3000 life points." He was then surrounded by a blue aura.

Matt: 2300-5300

"And now it's time for one of your rabbits to disappear! Now attack!" The old man shot a blast of electricity from his staff.

"Not so fast! I play Negate Attack!" Alicia's facedown card flipped up and created a barrier that blocked the electric attack. "Thanks to my trap card, your attack is negated, and your battle phase is over."

Matt snapped his fingers. "Man, almost got rid of it." He then inserted a card into his duel disk. "I play a facedown, and end my turn." At that, the old man kneeled down.

"Then it's my turn." Alicia drew as she smiled. "And now I would like introduce to you another one of bunny friends." With that said, Her facedown monster card flipped up and revealed a small, white bunny with a half eaten carrot. (ATK: 1000 DEF: 1900 LV: 3)

Matt was suddenly shocked by the new monster's appearance. "Oh my god! That's Creepy Coney!"

Alicia smirked. "Ooh, so you know about it. Then you must be aware of its flip effect, right?"

The flip duelist almost grimaced. "Yes. That monster can deal 1000 points of damage for every normal monster on your field."

Andrew and Shiori gasped at this revelation.

"1000?" Shiori repeated. "That's a lot of points."

"And since all three of those Dark Rabbits are normal monster, Matt's gonna take a real hit." Andrew added.

The small bunny's eyes glowed red and Matt winced as he was surrounded by a red aura.

Matt: 5300-2300

"And I happen to know about your Immortal's other effect. When he's sent from the field to the graveyard, you lose 5000 life points." Matt flinched at Alicia's words. "And I think I know what to do. I sacrifice Creepy Coney and one of the Dark Rabbits in order to summon Rabidragon!" The white bunny disappeared, along with one of the Dark Rabbits. And then, the big, white dragon with its rabbit-like face rose up on the field with a roar. (ATK: 2950 DEF: 2900 LV: 8)

Most of the audience gasped at its appearance, while some others cheered at her move.

"Now it's time to end this duel! Rabidragon, attack his Immortal of Thunder with Icy Breath." The dragon started to inhale deeply...

"I activate the trap card, Shift!" One of Matt's facedown cards flipped up. "Thanks to this, your attack gets a new target. So you have no choice but to attack one of my facedown monsters." And just like that, the dragon turned to the card right next to the old man and exhaled an ice cold breath that struck said card, causing it to flip up. The monster that was revealed appeared to be a female with blue hair, clad in a green dress. Her head was like a ball with an ugly face. (ATK: 1300 DEF: 0 LV: 3) The dragon's attack froze her solid before she shattered into pieces.

Alicia shuddered after seeing that monster. "That monster was creepy."

"Trust me, her appearance is the least of your worries." Matt replied.

"Well, in any case, I place one card facedown." A card appeared at her feet. "And with that, I'll end my turn, which my monsters are now switching to defense mode, thanks to my labyrinth card." Her monsters crouched down.

It was at that moment that Matt smirked. "That's perfect for me." And then, the spirit of the ball-headed female appeared.

Alicia blinked. "Huh?"

"Remember this monster? She's called Prediction Princess Astromorrigan, and since you attacked her, I can use her flip effect. But first, I play this trap card." His facedown card flipped up. "I activate Reverse Reuse! With this, I can take two flip effect monsters from my grave and summon them to your field in defense mode. And I think I'll give you Slate Warrior and Cyber Jar." Two orbs of light came out of his graveyard slot and flew over to Alicia's field. And then, they dimmed down and revealed the blue-skinned fiend and space pod. (ATK: 1900 DEF: 400 LV: 4) (ATK: 900 DEF: 900 LV: 3)

The Obelisk girl was really confused. "Why would you do that?"

"To cause you even more damage." Matt replied. "You see, due to Astromorrigan's flip effect, at the end of the turn, every monster you have on the field in defense mode is destroyed. And for each monster destroyed, you take 500 points of damage."

Alicia couldn't help but yelp at the revelation, before all monsters on her field exploded, damaging her life points.

Alicia: 4100-1600

"Nice!" Shiori cheered. "2500 points of damage in one turn!"

Andrew nodded with a smile. "He's not far away to win this now."

Alicia recovered from the blast before smiling at her opponent. "Well, I gotta hand it to you, that was really good."

"Thank you." Matt said "And so far, you haven't too bad yourself. It's a little shame that this duel is about to end." He drew a card.

But Alicia smirked as she glanced at her facedown card. 'Don't be so sure, little boy. My facedown card is Soul Resurrection. With that, I can summon a normal monster from my graveyard in defense mode. Once you attack, I'll use it to resurrect Rabidragon to stop you. And then, I can finish you off next turn. What can possibly go wrong?'

"I flip up Trap Master!" Matt's facedown monster card flipped up and revealed a pale-skinned man with a green cloak, white gloves, and a red top hat... with the top itself being in the shape of a jaw with sharp teeth. And instead of having legs, his under body had dangerous tools, like saws and a drill. (ATK: 500 DEF: 1100 LV: 3) "This monster has a flip effect. He lets me choose a trap card on the field and destroy it. If the selected card is set, I can take a look at it, and destroy it if it is a trap. Now let me see what you got there!"

Alicia gasped as the grinning monster approached her facedown card as it flipped up, revealing itself. And then, Trap Master used a saw blade to cut it in half, shattering it into pixels.

"Alrighty then! Time to end this! I'll switch The Immortal to attack mode." The old man stood. "Now my monsters, attack her directly!" Trap Master punched Alicia before he moved away as the old man shot a stream of electricity and zapped her, causing her to fall to her knees.

Alicia: 1600-0000

The crowd cheered as the holograms went away.

"He won!" Shiori cheered.

"Nice job!" Andrew added.

Matt approached Alicia, who just got up. "Are you okay?"

She smiled. "Don't worry. I've been through worse losses in the past. By the way, impressive moves."

The flip duelist smiled in return. "Thanks. You were pretty tough. Maybe we can duel again sometime?" He extended his right hand.

"Absolutely!" Alicia replied cheerfully as she grabbed his hand...

BZZZ!

Matt yelped as he felt a sudden shock in his hand. Once they let go of each other, he noticed the hand buzzer on her palm. He narrowed his eyes as she giggled. "Really?"

"Sorry about that. I have a habit for messing with others sometimes. Anyway, thanks for the duel. See ya." At that she walked away, leaving a somewhat perplexed Matt. It was then Sheppard stepped forward.

"That was well played, Matt. Congratulations. As the winner of the duel, you are the winner of the egg hunting."

Everyone applauded for the flip duelist who waved at them happily. Soon after, he walked up to the stage, where the display case with many cards was placed. He looked over the cards he got choose. Eventually, he found a card that caught his interest. It was a level 9 monster with 2000 attack points and 3000 defense points, and had a picture of a dark, giant pot with a one-eyed face with sharp teeth hidden inside. He held the card up in the air as everyone applauded for him once again.

Flashback end

"…and that's how the main event ended." Andrew finished.

Clover was fascinated by the story. "Wow! What a story. It's clear that you guys always have fun around here."

"Tell me about it."

"So… besides from being a 'rabbit' duelist, mind telling me what kind of person Alicia is."

Andrew shrugged. "I don't know. None of us really had a reason to try know her."

Well, if one took a look at the beach, one would find two people at a tree. One of them was Alicia, who was sitting on the ground, happily giving the other person a lap pillow. That person was a certain Obelisk blue boy, whose messy hair was orange with black highlights. Alicia watched over the boy as he slept peacefully.

Happy Easter, everyone! I hope you liked this chapter. I'll see you around next time.
