INTRODUCTION

The house had been standing for centuries; it was pretty much rotting away day by day. It stood atop a large mountain that overlooked the town below. There was a great view from up there. The stone that covered the house were once a beautiful white, now a dark grey, which gave the house a horrid complexion, which wasn't suitable to anybody who looked at it. A large gaping hole was in the roof of the house, caused by a low flying airplane a while back. The plane was on its way to the airport a couple of miles away and didn't realize that it was as low as it was, being that the fog that day made it almost impossible to see. The moment that the house came into view the pilot tried to pull up. He partially made it, but the bottom of the plane hit the house and made the large hole. The pilot was fine, and as well were the people who occupied the house, or should I say person, to be more specific the man.

The man's name was…well actually nobody really knows his name, people just called him, the inventor. He lived in the house at the time of the plane crash. It was said that he went up to the attic after the awful incident and took a look at the damage and said, "hey, it gives the house more of a natural feel," and then walked downstairs as if the whole was nothing more than a shingle that had popped off the roof. He was said to be a very interesting, yet different type of man. He never did what was expected from him.

Later on in the inventor's life, he decided that he wanted to build a man, a man who had scissors for hands, as to help the inventor with his inventions. The inventor succeeded in his creation. He taught this man the facts of life and some interesting stories and lessons. He was getting this man ready to become a real man, one with hands for hands, not scissors. The inventor called this man, Edward, Edward Scissorhands.

Before giving Edward his hands, the inventor died and never got to complete Edward. Nobody ever knew what happened to the inventor or his body. They also never knew that he had a creation like Edward who was still roaming around in the house, of course until Mrs. Peg Boggs decided to drive up to the house after being unsuccessful with Avon sales for the morning. Peg walked into the house and made her way through looking for somebody until she reached the attic, where she noticed the large hole and as well a small bed, situated in the fireplace. After walking around the attic a bit, she noticed somebody in the corner. It was Edward. Peg was scared at first because she thought that he was holding up knives at her, but then she realized that those knives, or scissors, were his hands. She began to sympathize for him and then brought him home with her. Edward was the town interest for his time there.

While Edward was in town he met a girl named Kim Boggs, Peg's daughter. He fell in love with her and it took a while until she did too. Kim's boyfriend, Jim, wasn't too fond of Edward and after making him go through a few bad incidents tried to kill him back at his house atop the hill. Edward ended up winning that fight though. Kim made it seem as if Edward had died as well, so that nobody would know that he was still up there. Kim would occasionally visit Edward for years and years. Still, Edward is at the house and Kim is too old to come and visit him any longer.
