Duel Ahoy!

"It's true." Michael said with his cellphone in hand, sitting on the bed in his dorm room. "The Admiral made us believe that Jaden left for the money."

"I can't believe someone would do such a thing!" Said the voice belonging to Mira Kageyama, Michael's mom.

"Tell me about it. I had a feeling that Jaden was tricked into taking that job. And after making contact with him, his side of the story confirmed my suspicions."

"I'll say." It was clear how angry Mira sounded. "That Admiral should be arrested for kidnapping him. Don't worry, son. I'll do whatever I can to help you."

Michael smiled. "Thanks, mom. That means a lot."

"Anything for you, sweetie. Now then, I gotta go. There's a trial I need to attend to."

"Sure thing. I love you."

"I love you, too. Goodbye." And she hung up.

Michael walked over to the window. "Now, let's hope if Jaden makes it back here."

Meanwhile, Syrus was at the docks, sitting at the edge next to the lighthouse. He'd been waiting there, hoping for Jaden's return. But to his depression, no luck so far.

"Jaden." He muttered.

From a distance, Alexis and Jenny saw the poor Slifer sitting there.

"Looks like Jaden hasn't returned yet." Alexis noted.

"It's been two days since we made contact with Jaden." Jenny reminded her. "It's probably gonna take him a while until he comes back."

"Yeah, but still..." Alexis lowered her head with a concerned look on her face. "It won't be easy. And not just by escaping the Admiral. He's in the middle of the ocean. He might not be able to get back."

Jenny placed a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. "Listen, I'm worried about him, too. But we have to believe in him. He'll get back. You know it."

Alexis gave her a small smile. "You're right."

The fairy duelist smiled in return.

Somewhere, at the bottom of the ocean, the nature was quite peaceful. But, there was something... special down there. If one were to look, there was a gigantic dome made of glass found in this place. But that was nothing compared to what was inside. It was a big structure of some kind. It looked like a giant station with a few towers with glass domes on top. This was what the Admiral was able to finish to build almost a day after he 'recruited' Jaden: The Ocean Academy.

The hallways of this building was clearly different from those of the Duel Academy. They looked like the inside of a submarine. There were a few sailors walking around. None of them noticed someone peeking at the corner. That someone, was none other than Jaden. He looked around, making sure no one saw him. Once the coast was clear, he started to sneak through the hallway. "Boy, talk about being in deep water. Who would have thought how fishy that Admiral was..."

Two days earlier

"Now this is sea food!" Jaden commented as he munched on the food that was served in one of the Ocean Academy's meal halls. The area itself was big enough to have at least 100 people. Jaden sat at one of the tables, shoving some fish into his mouth.

The Admiral approached. "I be glad that yer meal is satisfactory. Once ya'rr finished, we be recruiting new sailors for Ocean Academy."

"So we're gonna get new students?" Jaden asked, assuming what the fat man meant.

"Aye. I sailed on the seven seas, scouting potential students, and we be taking them aboard."

Jaden shrugged. "Whatever you say."

Right after Jaden was finished, he and the Admiral took off on the submarine, and traveled to several ports, where the new students were waiting. It took them almost about one day and a half to gather them all and take them to the underwater school.

And so, everyone was gathered in a big hall, which had a resemblance to a control room. And the Admiral was standing right in front of them. "Avast, ye salty swabs! I be the Admiral! The Scourge of the Seven Seas! And Headmaster of Ocean Academy. From this day forward, ye be studying here to become the most feared duelists of the Seven Seas! Welcome aboard, mateys!"

The new students applauded. And so did Jaden.

"Well, that was nice." Jaden said, walking through the hallway. He then stopped and frowned. "Still, I wonder how they're doing back at Duel Academy. And more importantly, why did they just ditch me like that?"

As on cue, something inside his pocket started to beep. He reached into it and took out his PDA. "Huh? Someone's calling me?" He pressed a button to answer. The screen however showed a blurry image. "Hello?" Jaden called out. "Hello!"

Even though the image was bad, the voice answering him was clear. "Hey! Can you hear me!"

"Yeah. I can hear you." Jaden replied. "Who am I talking to?" He waited for a moment before he spoke up again. "Hello! Who is it?" Just then, the image started to get better. When it was 100 percent clear, he was surprised to see some of his friends. "Guys, is that you!?"

"Jaden!" They called back.

"Man it's good to see you." Andrew said with a smile on his face.

Jaden smiled back. "It's good to see you guys as well. So what's up?"

"For starters, we were worried about you." Clover replied.

"Not just us." Matt added. "Everyone is worried. Especially Syrus. He's been depressed since you left."

"Which is why we have to ask." Michael said in a serious tone. "Did you really change your mind regarding the offer the Admiral gave you?"

"No I didn't." Jaden protested. "I was actually going to head back with you guys. But you already left without me. So why did you guys ditch me?"

"Well, right after you won the duel, the Admiral informed us that you reconsidered his offer and didn't want to come with us." Bastion explained.

"I'm telling you, I didn't change my mind at all." Jaden insisted. "I really wanted to stay at Duel Academy.

"Then it's just as I thought." Andrew said, narrowing his eyes. "The Admiral tricked us. He must have lied to us so we would leave you behind, with no way to escape."

"No way! That's not cool! And to think he served me sea food!" The gang sweat dropped at Jaden's words.

"Anyway..." Andrew spoke up. "It's clear that everything's been set up. That said, you need to find a way out of there and get back to Duel Academy."

"And what exactly am I supposed to do? I don't feel like swimming out of here."

"Maybe you don't have to. If you can sneak onto a submarine, you can take a boat from there." Xander suggested.

"Sounds simple enough." Jaden agreed. "All right. Then I'll wait until things calmed down here."

"Good luck, Jaden." Andrew said.

Present day

"Okay, now where did they park the sub again?" Jaden muttered, while sneaking through the hallways. It took him for a while, but eventually... "Aha!" He walked through a door that led him to a very huge chamber, where he could see three submarines floating on water. The water itself came from a tunnel that led to the outside. "Okay, so far so good. Now all I have to is sneak onboard and then..."

"Ahoy, matey!" A voice greeted, making The Slifer jump. He turned around to see the one person he didn't want to run into.

"Oh! Um, hey Admiral." Jaden greeted nervously. "What's up?"

"And what ye be doing here, you swab?" The Admiral asked curiously.

"Oh, I was... um... looking for the bathroom! Yeah, that's right. I tried to find the bathroom but got lost. Hahaha..."

The sailor raised an eyebrow. "Really? I be glad to help ye find the way..." He then snapped his fingers, allowing one of his workers show up, holding a laptop. "After ye explained this..." He then pressed a button, turning the screen on, showing a recorded footage of Jaden holding his PDA.

This made the Slifer pale, especially when those words were heard from the laptop. "If you can sneak onto a submarine, then you can take a boat from there." After that, it was silent for a moment, before Jaden tried his best, and failed to put up a good poker face. "Oh, that. Well, you see, I was just-"

"Trying to abandon this ship, eh!?" The Admiral snapped as he got into his face. "The Admiral does not tolerate mutiny! Ye belong to me, ye scoundrel! Ye be going nowhere! Lock him up!"

At that, two more sailors showed and grabbed Jaden's arms, dragging him away. "H-hey! Let me go!"

While this was happening, no one noticed a person watching from around the corner.

"Ow!" Jaden let out after being thrown into what looked like a prison cell. He turned around just in time to see the gate getting closed.

The Admiral sneered through the gate. "Now ye be spending yer time here, until ye be ready to work for me! Now learn yer place, ye salty swab." With those words, he walked away, leaving a disappointed Jaden alone.

"Great. Just when things went well." He muttered as his trusty duel spirit appeared.

"Coo."

"No kidding Kuriboh. Might as well wait for him to keelhaul me."

Klick Klack!

"Huh?" Jaden blinked by hearing that sound. He turned to the gate and saw a person who seemed to be picking on the lock. He was a boy around his age, with messy, dark green hair reaching his shoulders and grey eyes. He was wearing a white t-shirt with a picture of a surfer on the chest area, black shorts and sandals. He also had a duffle bag laying next to him, probably full of his belongings. "Um, hi. What are you doing?"

"I'm trying to get you out." He replied.

"And why are you helping me?"

"Because I saw what happened earlier. I didn't expect the Admiral to do such a thing."

"You don't even know the half of it. Apparently, he wanted me to help him run this school, and he kinda tricked me into taking that job."

The green-haired boy shook his head. "And to think I wanted to attend here."

"You're a new student?" Jaden asked.

"Hmph, after witnessing you getting dragged down here? Not anymore! I'm going with you."

Jaden smiled. "That's cool. Oh! I'm Jaden Yuki, by the way."

The green-haired paused for a moment and turned to him. "Nathan Aichi." He then continued picking on the lock...

CLICK!

Until he finally managed to unlock the gate and open it. He gave Jaden a smile. "And that's that."

"Finally." Jaden said while stepping out of the prison cell. "So, how about we get out of here?"

"Absolutely. Now, here's the plan..."

Later on, the sailors prepared one of the subs for a journey. One of them used a crane to load a box in it. But, unbeknownst to anyone, Jaden and Nathan were hiding inside that box.

"So, what else is part of your plan?" Jaden asked.

"Shhh!"

"Everything's ready, sir." One of the sailors informed the Admiral, who was waiting in the control room for the take off.

"Good! Then let's weight anchor and make our the way to the land where new recruits await!"

At that, the submarine took off, and left the Ocean Academy behind.

Meanwhile, one of the sailors checked the goods inside a storage room until he decided everything was fine and left the room.

A moment after he left, one of the boxes let out a few banging noises. And then, Nathan and Jaden broke the box open.

"Well that was easy." Jaden commented.

"It's too early to celebrate." Nathan reminded him. "We still have to wait until we can take a boat and leave this sub."

"Yeah yeah. At least I can stretch my legs for a bit."

Soon enough, the submarine made its way to land, where more students were waiting for its arrival. Once the sub parked at the docks near a city, the new students stepped aboard. "Welcome aboard, mateys." The Admiral greeted happily as they stepped inside.

Meanwhile, Jaden and Nathan snuck to the control room. And thankfully, no one was there right now. "So, why are we here?" Jaden asked.

Nathan turned to him and raised an eyebrow. "Duh. We're going to use the controls to drop a boat in the water and drive away."

The Slifer smiled sheepishly. "Oh right."

They walked up to the controls. Nathan stared at them, humming thoughtfully.

"Well?" Jaden asked.

"Don't stress me. It's hard to figure this out."

"Yeah? Well I say we try some buttons. Like this one..." Jaden reached out for a green button.

"No, wait!" Nathan cried out, but it was too late. Jaden's finger already reached the button, and when it did, the whole place turned dark.

Back on the top of the submarine, the last of the new students stepped inside. And then...

"What the hell!"

"Why is it so dark all of the sudden!?"

"Huh?" The Admiral blinked at this.

Back in the control room, Nathan pressed the button Jaden touched, luckily, the lights turned back on. He then glared at the Slifer, who smiled sheepishly. "Okay, I guess it wasn't that one."

"You idiot! Now they might know something is up!" Nathan scolded.

"Come on. It's not like someone would show up or something."

"Hey! What are you doing here!?"

The two boys jumped and turned around to see three of the sailors step inside. Nathan gave Jaden a deadpanned look. "You were saying?"

The Slifer looked at him nervously. "So... what now?"

The green-haired boy closed his eyes. "I'm afraid there's only one option."

"And what's that?"

Without warning, he grabbed Jaden's arm and started to... "RUUUN!" At that, they quickly left the room before the sailors could grab them.

"What be the meaning of this!?" The Admiral questioned. Whatever happened inside the submarine, it didn't sound good to him.

He then got his answer when Jaden and Nathan came out and ran into him.

"Huh!?" The Admiral's eyes widened.

"Thanksforyourhospitalitybutwegottagobye!" Jaden quickly as he and Nathan jumped off the submarine and ran off into the city.

The fat sailor stood there silently until what he just witnessed finally sank in and... "MUTINEERS! AFTER THEM!"

"Come on! Keep running!" Nathan urged as he and Jaden ran deeper into the city.

"Too bad we don't have time to buy a souvenir from here." Jaden cracked.

"Are you always joking like that?"

"It can't hurt to be a little positive."

Nathan gasped and stopped, making his friend stop as well.

"Hey, what's-"

"Ssshhh!" He hushed as he leaned against the wall, and peeked around the corner, seeing two sailors looking around. "Damn! It's the Admiral's lackeys!"

"Uh oh!" Jaden let out.

"Come on." Nathan went to a different direction with Jaden behind.

They snuck around the city, barely avoiding the sailors. Turning to right, they saw sailors. Turning to left, they saw sailors. This went on for a while, but the boys finally lost them and found themselves at a beach nearby.

"Finally. Those guys sure don't know when to give up." Jaden said.

"Well, we can't stay here for long." Nathan "Eventually, they're going to look here."

"So what are we supposed to do? Hijack a ship?" The Slifer cracked.

The green-haired boy gave him a look. "Really?"

"AHA! There ye are, ye salty swabs!" A familiar voice yelled out. The boys turned around and saw the Admiral approach them with an angry look on his face.

"Great. It's Captain Crazy." Jaden commented.

"Now ye be going back onboard on me ship and sail back to Ocean Academy, ye scurvy swine!" The Admiral declared, glaring daggers at Jaden.

But Nathan had other plans as he gave the fat man a glare of his own. "Not gonna happen! I saw what you did to my friend here. No way I'm gonna let you treat Jaden like a slave!"

"Step aside, ye filthy landlubber! What I'm doing is none of yer business!"

But Nathan quickly reached into his duffle bag and took out a duel disk, surprising the Admiral. "I came to Ocean Academy, hoping I could hone my skills, only to find out that the person running it is a greedy, old man with a lame pirate accent! That's reason enough for me to make this my business! If you want Jaden, you have to get through me, you old sea cucumber!"

"Why you!" The Admiral growled. "Fine! I'm gonna keelhaul ye for that, ye swine!" He brought out his own duel disk.

"Um, would you like some advise about his dueling style?" Jaden asked.

Nathan gave him a smirk. "Nah, I think I can guess what kind of deck he uses, and if I'm right, then this won't be a problem."

Jaden smirked in return. "In that case... get your game on!"

Nathan nodded and turned to face the Admiral. Both of them activated their duel disks.

"DUEL!"

Nathan: 4000

Admiral: 4000

"Arr!" The Admiral growled and drew his sixth. "First I be starting by playing me field spell, A Legendary Ocean!" He placed the named card into his field spell tray, making the scenery change into the familiar underwater ruins.

"Oh yeah. I had a lot of trouble because of that card." Jaden stated.

Nathan frowned. "That's understandable, considering the fact that all water monsters have their level reduced by 1 because of that card."

"That's right! And next, I be playing a spell card called Water Hazard!" A spell card appeared on the Admiral's field. "With no creatures on me field, I can summon a level 4 or lower water monster from me hand. With this, along with the Legendary Ocean, I can summon this mighty beast: Terrorking Salmon!" A demonic looking giant fish swam towards the field. "And thanks to me field spell, all creatures from the deep gain 200 attack and defense points." (ATK: 2400-2600 DEF: 1000-1200 LV: 5-4) "And now, for my normal summoning, I be playing, Catapult Turtle in defense mode!" The monster that appeared next to the giant fish was a big, mechanical-looking turtle with a catapult on its shell. (ATK: 1000-1200 DEF: 2000-2200 LV: 5-4) "I end my turn."

"Not bad." Nathan commented and drew his sixth card. "But nothing I can't handle. Especially since your field spell makes things easier for me as well."

"What ye be talking about?" The Admiral asked in confusion.

"I mean that you're not the only one with water monsters. Let me show you by playing this! My own Water Hazard card." The named card appeared on Nathan's field.

"Sweetness." Jaden said.

"And thanks to your field spell, I can use my spell card to summon this guy: The Legendary Fisherman!" A bare-chested man appeared riding on a blue shark with red eyes. He was holding a harpoon in his right hand. (ATK: 1850 DEF: 1600 LV: 5) "This monster has a unique ability. With Umi, or in this case, A Legendary Ocean on the field, he's safe from your attacks. He also is immune to spell effects. Of course, that means he won't get extra points from the field spell."

"That sucks." The Slifer commented.

"But that's fine, I have another monster to play. Amphibious Bugroth MK-3!" A strange-looking red submarine with a pair of robot arms and missiles appeared next to the fisherman. (ATK: 1500-1700 DEF: 1300-1500 LV: 4-3)

"Haha! That puny ship has 1700 attack points." The Admiral pointed out. "It's not nearly enough to defeat any of my mighty creatures."

Nathan however smirked. "And you call yourself a water duelist? I'm surprised you're not aware of my monster's special ability. Thanks to your field spell, it can attack you directly!"

The fat sailors eyes bugged out. "WHAT!?"

"Now, Amphibious Bugroth, attack!" The submarine launched its torpedos that bypassed the Admiral's monsters and exploded at his feet.

Admiral: 4000-2300

"And with that, I'll end my turn with a facedown." A card appeared at Nathan's feet.

"My turn!" The Admiral drew his next card. "And I be summoning Sea Serpent Warrior of Darkness!" A blue-skinned humanoid figure, clad in purple armor and wielding an ornate looking spear appeared, glaring menacingly at Nathan. (ATK: 1800-2000 DEF: 1500-1700 LV: 4-3) "And now my Terrorking Salmon, sink that bothersome ship!" The giant fish swam forward, ready to sink its teeth into the sub.

"Reveal trap card!" Nathan's facedown card flipped up. "Pixie Ring!" A ring of energy surrounded the mechanical monster, blocking the attack.

"What!?" The Admiral exclaimed.

"Nice try, but you can't sink my sub that easily. If I have at least two monsters in attack mode, my trap card keeps you from attacking the weakest monster I have on the field. So if you want to destroy destroy my Amphibious Bugroth, you have to get rid of my Fisherman first."

"Now that's a sweet combo!" Jaden cheered.

But the fat sailor smirked. "Ye may have saved your creatures, but that won't save yer life points."

"How come?" The green-haired boy asked.

"Because I can activate the special ability of the Catapult Turtle. Once per turn, it can launch one of my creatures and deal damage equal to half of its attack points!" That explanation made the boys gasp. "So I be sending the Sea Serpent Warrior of Darkness to scuttle ye!" The named monster jumped onto the catapult on the giant turtle's shell. "FIRE!" The water was launched and transformed into a ball of energy, which exploded when it hit Nathan.

Nathan: 4000-3000

He groaned after the explosion. "Damn, I didn't expect that."

"And this proves that I'm a better water duelist than a salty swab like ye. I end with a facedown." A card appeared at the Admiral's feet.

"Don't get cocky old man!" Nathan drew his next card. "I still have the advantage! After all, my Bugroth can attack you directly! Now go!" The submarine launched two more torpedos.

"I reveal my trap, Tornado Wall!" The Admiral's facedown card flipped up. And when it did, whirling pillars of water appeared in front of him. The torpedos were swallowed by them for a moment and then sent away.

"Oh no!" Nathan face palmed.

"What just happened?" Jaden wondered.

"That trap card he just played is a real obstacle. As you know, A legendary Ocean is treated like Umi. And that's where Tornado Wall comes in. As long as the Admiral has that field spell in play, my monsters can't cause battle damage with their attacks!"

"Uh oh!"

"And therefore, I be invincible!" The Admiral said smugly.

"You can't protect yourself forever!" Nathan then looked at his hand. 'Of course, I don't have anything that can get rid of that trap card.' He then looked at his opponent again. "I end my turn."

"And I begin me turn!" The Admiral drew. "And now I be sacrificing Terroking Salmon to damage your life points!"

"Say what!?" Nathan exclaimed, not expecting the sailor to get rid of his powerful monster.

The giant fished laid down on the catapult. "FIRE!" And just like the previous monster, it launched, transformed into a ball of energy and exploded when it hit Nathan.

Nathan: 3000-1700

"You just sacrificed the strongest monster on your field! Not exactly the smartest move you made." Jaden stated.

"I do whatever it takes to get ye back, ye swine!"

"I'm afraid your reckless move will cost you!" Nathan retorted.

"Then make yer move, ye landlubber! There's nothing ye can do to stop me!"

"We'll see. My move!" Nathan drew his next card and looked at it. "Okay, I can't get rid of your trap card."

That earned him a smirk from the sailor. But it was then replaced by a confused look when he smirked back.

"But I can get rid of your turtle! I summon Abyssal Kingshark in attack mode!" A shark appeared on his field. And most of its body was bones, including its head. (ATK: 1700-1900 DEF: 600-800 LV: 4-3) "Then I activate the equip spell, Steel Shell!" A spiky, turtle-like shell appeared on the shark's back. "This spell card gives the equipped water monster 400 attack points while taking away 200 of its defense points." (ATK: 1900-2300 DEF: 800-600)

"Blast!"

"Now my Kingshark, destroy his Catapult Turtle!" The shark swam toward the mechanical turtle and sank it teeth into its neck, making it explode. "And with that monster gone, you can't damage me anymore! I end my turn!"

"My turn!" The Admiral drew. He looked at his new card and smirked. "Ye may have bested my previous creatures, but ye have yet to face the mightiest of them all!"

Nathan started to get wary. And so did Jaden. "That doesn't sound good."

"First, I be using the effect of Water Hazard and summon Torpedo Fish!" A familiar fish shaped torpedo appeared. (ATK: 1000 DEF: 1000 LV: 3)

"That doesn't look so mighty to me." Nathan commented.

"Tis being nothing more than a sacrifice for a stronger monster!"

"Damn!"

"I be summoning Levia-Dragon - Daedalus!" The torpedo fish disappeared as the huge seas-serpent from Jaden's duel rose behind the Admiral. (ATK: 2600-2800 DEF: 1500-1700 LV: 7-6)

"Um, Nathan? You might need a lifeboat after this." Jaden warned him.

"Yer mate is right. Because thanks to its special ability, I can send me field spell to the graveyard, and my mighty beast sends every single card on the field to Davy Jones!"

"No way!" Nathan gasped.

The underwater scene changed back to the beach area, before a tidal wave washed over everything on the field, except for Daedalus. "And now ya'rr wide open for a-" But before the Admiral could finish his sentence, something jumped out of the water. It was none other than Abyssal Kingshark. (ATK: 1700 DEF: 600 LV: 4) "Huh? How did that beast return to the field!?"

Nathan chuckled. "That's just it. It didn't leave at all. You see, my Kingshark has a special ability. Once per turn, it can survive a destruction effect that doesn't target it."

"Wow! That is one slippery fish!" Jaden commented. "Sharks are fish, right?" His question earned him a sweat drop from his new friend.

The Admiral growled. "Oh yeah? Then let's see if yer creature will survive the wrath of my beast a second time! Attack!" The sea-serpent shot out a blue energy beam from its maw, obliterating the skeletal shark.

Nathan: 1700-0800

"This duel is mine! There's nothing ye can do to defeat me beast!"

"Don't be so sure, Admiral!" Jaden replied. "A duel's not over until the last card is played! So I wouldn't count Nathan out just yet."

Nathan gave him a thumbs up. "Thanks, Jaden." He then eyed on his deck. 'Okay, I better make this count. Here goes...' He drew. "I activate Pot of Greed! Now I can draw two cards." He drew his extra cards, looked at them and nodded. "Next I summon Unshaven Angler in attack mode!" A very ugly fish appeared. (ATK: 1500 DEF: 1600 LV. 4)

"What can ye do with that?" The Admiral questioned.

"Well, for starters I play the spell card, Double Summon." Nathan replied and held up the named card. "And, in case you didn't know, my little friend has a special ability. Whenever I tribute summon a water monster, I can use it as two sacrifices!"

"What!?"

"So say hello to Spiral Serpent!" The ugly fish disappeared as another sea-serpent appeared. This one had a wider body and slightly different appearance than Levia-Dragon, but big and menacing nonetheless. (ATK: 2900 DEF: 2900 LV: 8)

"Wicked!" Jaden grinned.

"And now for my final card..." Nathan held up the card in question. "The spell card, Concentrating Current! Know what it does? It gives my monster extra attack points for one turn. How many you ask? Well, those extra attack points are... equal to its defense points."

"But... but then..." The Admiral stammered in fear.

"That's right. My monster's attack and defense points are the same, meaning my Spiral Serpent's strength is doubled!" The sea-serpent roared loudly as a blue aura surrounded its body. (ATK: 2900-5800) "Spiral Serpent! Attack his Daedalus! Spiral Wave!" The sea-serpent roared again as another tidal wave washed over the field. This time, it swallowed Daedalus and turned into a water spiral that approached the Admiral.

"SHIVER ME TIMBERS!" The fat sailor was swallowed by the water and was then sent flying and landed on the ground with a loud thud.

Admiral: 2300-0000

The Admiral was laying on the ground with swirling eyes as the holograms disappeared. Nathan sighed in relief while deactivating his duel disk.

"Now that was a sweet comeback!" Jaden complimented. "That was a wicked duel!"

"Glad you enjoyed it." Nathan said sarcastically. "Now, how about we get out of here before the Admiral wakes up?"

Unfortunately, the fat man did just that and jumped back on his feet, giving them a glare. "I don't think so, ye swine!" He then reached into his jacket and pulled out a golden whistle. He blew it. Once the high-pitched sound came out of it, many sailors showed up and surrounded the two boys.

"Oh boy." Jaden muttered.

"You gotta be kidding me!" Nathan said in disbelief.

"Ye being going nowhere! I be the Admiral! Scourge of the Seven Seas! There's nothing ye can do to defy me!"

"But I can." A new voice spoke up. Everyone turned to the source and saw a woman wth black hair held together in a bun on the back of her head and grey eyes. She was wearing a pair of glasses and a black business suit.

Jaden recognized her. "Hey! It's Michael's mom!"

Mira turned to him and smiled. "It's been a while, Jaden."

"Who are ye, lady!? The Admiral demanded.

Mira gave him a stern a look and approached him. "My name is Mira Kageyama. Attorney of at law."

"A lawyer?" The fat sailor questioned before giving her an annoyed look. "What do ye want? Tis not yer business!"

"On the contrary! My son is a student of Duel Academy, and he sometimes tells something special happening there. For example... he recently told me you kidnapped his friend, Jaden Yuki!"

The Admiral paled at those words.

"And that's reason enough for a lawyer like me to make this my business."

But the Admiral refused to back down. "Oh yeah? And what do ye think ye can do to me!? Ya'rr only one woman against my crew!"

But Mira smirked and responded with 5 words. "Who said I was alone?"

At those words, policemen showed up from all the corners and surrounded everyone, pointing their guns at them. The sailors couldn't help but raise their hands. As for the Admiral, he was so shocked that he didn't react in time when Mira put handcuffs on him.

"I'll see you in court, Admiral."

Later on, Jaden, Nathan and Mira watched as the cops took the sailors away, with the Admiral muttering a few inappropriate words.

"We were really lucky back there." Nathan commented.

"No kidding." Jaden replied and turned to Mira. "How did you know I was here, Mrs. Kageyama?"

"I wasn't really looking for you here at first." The lawyer said. "You see, I was just nearby while participating a trial. But before that, Michael told me what happened to you, so I made some research about the Admiral, and found a lot of information, including his Ocean Academy."

"Oh, that's right!" The Slifer realized. "There are a bunch of students down there! What's going to happen when the Admiral is, um... out of the water?"

"I have a lot of contacts. I'll be sure to find people who can take care of it. Anyway, right after the trial reached its conclusion, I was about to leave when I saw that crazy sailor in question. After I saw him confront you two, which led to your friend here to duel him, I decided to make preparations for his arrest."

"You sure did a good job there. Thanks for your help." Nathan said gratefully.

"It was my pleasure." Mira replied, adjusting her glasses.

"All right then. We just have to find our way back to the Duel Academy." Jaden declared.

The lawyer smiled. "That can be arranged..."

Now it's been a full week since Jaden left with the Admiral, which was now clear that everything was setup by the crazy sailor. Right after classes, Syrus headed straight to the docks, and was currently sitting at the edge next to the lighthouse. He's been waiting for a couple of hours now, but there was no sign of Jaden. He sighed. "Jaden..."

Chumley and Alexis were standing nearby. Andrew and Jenny walked up to them. "How long has he been there?" The Ra Yellow boy asked.

"Hours." Chumley answered. "It's been almost a week since we made contact with Jaden."

"Hopefully it won't take him too long to get back." Alexis added.

"I imagine it must be hard to escape, considering the possibility of getting out of a dueling school at the bottom of the ocean." Jenny said, looking out to the sea.

"What's that?" Syrus lifted his head, eyes scanning the watery horizon. "I think I hear a boat that's coming this way!" He looked around, but no boat came into view. Tears started to run down on his cheek. "No. I guess that... Jay's made better friends. Found himself a new crew."

"Sy, it's tough." Alexis knelt down beside. "I was as upset as you were when the Admiral said that Jaden wanted to stay. But Xander and Bastion got through to him and found out the truth."

"Yeah, the Admiral tricked us all, including Jaden." Andrew added. "But you can't give up on him. It might take some time, but we need to have faith that he'll return to us."

"Wait! What's that?" Syrus said, looking off to the side.

Everyone followed his gaze and saw a cruiser ship coming into view.

"Is that... a cruiser ship?" Andrew asked.

Jenny eyed on the ship and noticed a logo on its side. It was in the shape of two colorful words. "Kageyama Cruises?"

"That's the company owned by Michael's father." Alexis said.

The group then saw a few people onboard the ship. They took a small boat down to the water. There were three occupants on it, but they couldn't clearly see them from the long distance. But when the boat approached them, they heard a familiar voice. "Syrus!"

"Jaden!?" Syrus exclaimed and stood up.

And true to his words, it was Jaden, waving to them from the front of the boat, accompanied with Nathan, and a man in a white business suit, most likely one of the staff members from the ship. "Ahoy!" The Slifer called out. "I escaped Sy! He trapped me, but I broke out of there for you, Swabbie!"

"You mean I broke you out, remember?" Nathan reminded him.

Jaden smiled sheepishly. "Oh right. Sorry, bro."

"And by the way, you're not supposed to be standing on a boat this small."

"Why? I don't see anyWHOA!" Jaden accidentally tripped and fell into the water, causing Nathan and staff member sweat drop.

"That's why."

"I'm coming! Jaden! I'll save you!" Syrus screamed, diving into the water, and heading straight for his friend.

"Can he...?" Alexis started.

"Swim?" Chumley filled in.

"I didn't think he could." Andrew added.

As Nathan helped him up, Jaden turned around and saw his smaller roommate paddle out to him. "Jaden! I'm sorry! I want you to be my shipmate!"

"Really? That's good to know. Because that weird Admiral guy... couldn't understand a word he said."

"So, we're cool?"

"Of course! But Sy... when did you learn how to swim?"

"Huh?" Once he realized he was floating out in the water, he started to flail around in panic. "I DIDN'T!"

"Syrus, grab me!" Jaden urged his friend and his arm out

"Only if you promise to get me a new bed!"

"Well... aaah!" The taller Slifer ended up getting dragged into the water, much to everyone's amusement. Fortunately, Jaden was able to save Syrus.

"How about it?" The short Slifer asked.

"Okay, but definitely not a water bed."

Nathan couldn't help but laugh at this. "Something tells me I'm gonna like this place."

Oh yeah! Jaden made it back. And a friend. I'll see you guys around next time.
