Slipping into her shoes, Christina nodded with approval at her reflection, smiling as she recalled the happy squeal from showing Sophie that she was taking her suggestion to be Tinkerbell. As soon as she stepped into the main room, Sophie crashed into her, seizing her by the arm before dragging her across the room.

"Found her!" Sophie declared coming to a stop, "This is my teacher,"

"Hello," Christina smiled at who she assumed to be Sophie's father, "I'm Christina,"

"Nice to meet you, I'm Shaggy,"

"Ah, I see you two have met," Miss Grimwood grinned, approaching them, "Christina, Shaggy's going to be the new gym teacher,"

"Really?" Christina asked, intrigued, "That explains the phone calls these last few weeks,"

"Of course it was always the plan," the headmistress continued, "Shaggy just wanted Sophie to be adjusted first,"

Christina glanced at the girl who clung to her hand, eyes shining, " I'd say it worked,"

"Agreed," nodded Shaggy.

"Uh, hate to interrupt," Webbigale apologized, "But, Valerie's tailing Drake and won't leave him alone,"

"Where are-"

"Clawdeen and Duncan are talking with my brother outside,"

"And Valerie's mother?"

"Isn't here yet,"

"And I'll be back," Christina sighed, heading to track down her trouble student and godson.

"I suppose I should warn you," Miss Grimwood said to Shaggy, "Valerie has underlying issues,"

"Noted,"

…...

"Oh, Please dance with me?" Valerie begged softly, pinning Drake to the wall, "I wore this dress just for you," she whispered in his ear.

Drake had tried to lose her when he caught sight of her following him, ducking into the nearest room only to be backed into a corner, trapped there, spending the last few minutes trying to get free while remaining polite but to no avail.

"I-I don't really dance," he blurted, "Two left feet, I would step on your toes,"

"I don't mind," Valerie smirked, hands moving up his arms and across his chest, "Really I don't-"

"VALERIE"

The vampire was pulled off of him and he took this chance to bolt, hoping to find his parents or at the very least get lost in the crowd.

"WHAT?" Valerie hollered, trying to wrestle her way out of Christina's grip, "I wasn't doing anything wrong!"

"Let's start with the obvious," Christina said calmly, "That dress isn't school appropriate, you aren't wearing a bra or underwear I presume and you were forcing yourself on Drake after being told no,"

"You can't do anything, my dress is fine!"

"Wrong," Christina conjured a door, marching Valerie through it to her room, "Now you'll stay in here since you can't behave and for faires sake, put on some decent clothing!"

"But my mom-"

"I'll send her here when she arrives," Christina replied, shutting and locking the door before taking a deep breath.

When did I become such a hated person?

"You okay, Drake?" Christina questioned once she found where her godson had disappeared to.

"Yeah, I'm okay,"

"But?"

"But I'd feel even better if I had an ice cream sundae?"

"Here ya go," she chuckled, handing the newly conjured sundae to Drake, "Why don't you find your sister?"

"Yes, Ma'am,"

…...

"So, you like school?" Shaggy asked Sophie who had dragged him all over the place showing him everything she could think of.

"Yeah!" she nodded vigorously.

"What do you like best?"

"Christina,"

"I heard my name," Christina popped out of the kitchen, "Who wants to help decorate cookies?" she called.

Tannis, Winnie, and Phantasma burst into the room with ear-to-ear grins.

"We will! Where are they?"

"Table, don't eat them though, they're for our guests,"

"Not even one?"

"No, believe me, you girls are well taken care of in the sweets department,"

"Someone's been binge-baking," Sibella smirked, rounding the corner.

"Bella!" Christina cried, embracing her cousin, "When did you get here?"

"Only a few minutes ago, Laura's here-"

Christina shot out of the room leaving Shaggy to reunite with his students.

…...

Sophie got bored halfway through the conversation so she ventured out of the dining room. She found Christina hugging a pink-skinned vampire.

"Oh my goodness, Laura you look ready to pop!"

"Tell me about it!" Draculaura giggled her agreement.

"This baby has got to hurry," Christina grinned impishly, "So I can spoil it rotten!"

"Baby?" Sophie questioned drawing their attention, "Where?"

"In here," Draculaura patted her stomach, "Growing still,"

"Sophie, this is my cousin, Draculaura, she went to school here when she was your age,"

"Nice to meet you,"

"Nice to meet you too, Sophie. I hope Christina's been nice to you,"

"Right here!" Christina rolled her eyes.

"Christina's awesome!" Sophie gushed, making her teacher turn red from embarrassment.

"SOPHIE! Dani hollered from outside, "Wanna play tag?"

"YES" Sophie dashed out the door.

"She's cute," Draculaura said.

"I know," Christina agreed.

"So how's Valerie?"

Christina cringed, "Trouble, she hates me,"

"Like her mother,"

"She doesn't try,"

"Like her father,"

"I'm trying my best to help her but I constantly come off as the bad guy,"

"Well, it isn't your fault, although I don't understand why Gory dislikes you do much,"

"That's just life, it'd be really strange if everyone liked everybody else,"

"True but, she should at least be civil,"

"Speak of the devil," Christina rolled her eyes as Gory paraded through the door, nose in the air.

"Go, I'll cover,"

"Thanks, Laura,"

…...

The rest of the party passed by in a whirlwind. One minute he was saying hello to the parents and their children. The next he was trying to find where Sophie had gone to so he could remind her it was bedtime.

"Sophie, it's bedtime," he smiled when he found her in the hall.

"I know," she nodded but didn't move from her spot.

"What are you waiting for?"

"Christina,"

The door opened and Sophie spring to her feet excitedly clutching Ruby by the paw. Christina stepped out dressed in a coffee-themed pajama set with a book under her arm. Sophie hurried past her.

"I've been reading her bedtime stories,"

"Christina!"

"Is that okay with you? I'll put her in bed when she falls asleep-"

"Like, it's fine I was like, never able to establish a routine. I tried but it was difficult,"

"Please, please, pleeese hurry!"

"Wanna join us?"

"Sure," Shaggy grinned, "Show me how you put my ball of endless energy to sleep,"

"What took so long?!" Sophie demanded to know when Christina finally entered, settling beside her.

Shaggy took the chair beside the window to watch the exchange.

"I'm sorry, Sophie. What story do you want to hear? Wait, let me guess, Sleeping Beauty again?"

"Yes please,"

Just like before, Sophie was asleep before the story's end.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The day-long trip and mountain of subs had knocked Scooby out cold. He had spent the whole night sleeping under the bed, hoping to avoid Matches but as the black of the night faded into bright pink and grays of the early morning he woke up and shimmed his way out of the tight space. The last thing he needed was a burnt tail! Wandering from the bedroom he was surprised to find the school still sleeping. Then it dawned on him:

It was Saturday.

Turning to amble back to the room where Shaggy still snored away, he bumped noses with a wolf. A very pretty wolf with a black and silver coat.

"Hi," Scooby squeaked nervously.

She licked his nose.

Scooby fainted.

…...

Shaggy was so used to being woken up by Sophie that he found it alarming when she didn't pounce on him, demanding his attention. Jumping from the bed, he ran to Sophie's room, easing the door open worriedly.

Her bed was empty.

Before he could have a meltdown and call every law enforcement agency known to man, a rational idea wormed its way into his brain. He tossed a glance at Christina's bedroom door, finding it pushed open. Peeking inside he smiled at the sight of Sophie sprawled on top of Christina, both sleeping peacefully.

Crisis averted.

…...

"Good morning, Sophie," Christina yawned noticing the blonde hair in her face when she opened her eyes.

With a tiny yawn, Sophie sat up making Christina grunt as her weight shifted around. The exact point when Sophie had began creeping to her bed and sleeping on top of her wasn't clear but Christina didn't mind. In fact it, made her happy.

"Good morning, Christina," Sophie smiled, throwing her arms around her neck.

"How about breakfast?"

"PANCAKES!"

Standing, Christina carried Sophie to the kitchen where they found Shaggy at the stove already flipping pancakes to add to the ever-growing stack.

"Hi, Daddy,"

"Hi, Sophie,"

"I'm normal again!" she announced.

"Normal is only a setting on the washing machine,"

"So I'll change again?"

"Yes but it's not something to be scared of," he reassured her, turning from the stove expecting to see her standing behind him like a tiny shadow only to find her being held by Christina.

She seems awfully attached to Christina

"How about," Christina set her down, "You go to the table and I'll pour juice,"

"Okay," Sophie skipped away.

"Sophie seems to like you," Shaggy said while Christina set out glasses.

"I like her too, she's very sweet,"

"would you mind telling me how her first day went?"

"You mean after you left? She cried for a while but she calmed down and wandered to my classroom, I guess she heard me playing. Anyway, we talked, had some dinner and everything was fine,"

Shaggy released the breath he didn't know he had been holding, "And the story time? How did you do that? I could like, never get her to sit still,"

"Well, Valerie, one of the other girls, made her cry so I took her to my room to calm down and here we are,"

"Should I be worried about Valerie?"

"No, I'll handle her, she doesn't have very good people skills,"

"She listens to you?"

a shadow passed over Christina's face, "Hardly but I'll manage,"

What did I say?
