"Chloe…Send the helicopters," Elijah ordered as he watched live news feeds. All of them. He had about ten different screens set up in the suite's living room. Long flat screens stacked in a large rectangle across the wall. It wasn't quite standard, but when you had enough money, you could pretty much buy anything. He had John's story up on the biggest screen. His heart wrenched as he watched the camera get a closeup of Lin's distraught face. Saline was leaking from his mismatched eyes, his hands shaking as he shook John's limp body, desperately calling his name and begging him to open his eyes. Things had progressed more quickly than expected. This had been a risk of the operation, but John had agreed to take part. It didn't make him feel any better.

"We don't yet know if the order was given to shoot, or whether the operative acted alone, but it's hard to argue that android feelings aren't real when looking at this scene. The human in question has yet to be identified, but appears to have disguised himself as an android to get his message across. We'll keep you updated," the female caster announced, her voice playing over the footage from her place in the studio. Elijah bit his teeth together as he shifted his gaze to the Detroit screen, where things were equally messy. The SWAT teams there were attacking, forcing the peaceful protestors back. Markus was slowly turning towards a female android, raising his hand in a final show of intimacy as he leaned down to kiss her. On a third screen was a feed from one of the RT600 androids he'd placed inside the recycling centre. She was streaming live to every streaming service she could connect to. The internet was exploding across his other screens as red blood spilled. Alarms were blaring. Armed guards rushing. Androids were breaking the machinery apart to save the young girl. Interesting…This I didn't see coming…His original plan had been for Chloe to simply film inside the camp to gain human sympathy. This made the statement far more powerful. He couldn't have planned it better himself.

"We have one more collection to make inside the compound," he added as he got to his feet and nodded to the camp's screen. He grabbed his expensive blazer and tugged it on. Chloe was in another room, but he knew she'd been monitoring the living room and keeping up to date with everything that was happening. He truly didn't know what he'd do without her.

"Of course, Elijah. I'll let them know," Chloe replied as she joined him in the hall outside with his briefcase in one hand and Katie's hand held in the other. They headed for the rooftop. He was going to need to be in his own lab for this, with this own experts. Luckily, he already had them assembled. He put in an earpiece as he spoke to the various humans and androids he had on standby. They'd have to be fast and ready if they had any chance of a happy ending in all this.

He had everyone in the call connect to the various video feeds he was now watching on his pad, sitting in the back of his helicopter. He was no doctor, but some of the people he had watching were doctors. He had full confidence in their abilities to examine where the bullets had struck John's body, and where the machine in the recycling centre had injured the honey haired girl. They didn't look good. Either of them. John was the worst of the two. He didn't even know if he was still alive at this point. John would be his priority, of course. He was family.

Doctors and androids alike assured him they would be ready. They were set up with the latest medical technology on his private estate. He'd originally left Detroit to mislead the police. If Elijah Kamski wasn't home, then his androids had likely gone with him. How wrong they were. Luckily, it was only Elijah and a select few who knew about the huge compound he kept beneath his home. Multiple levels of the latest technology labs, fully furnished for private research. He kept privately employed staff and androids there. Those with views that aligned with his own. Those who had helped him to perfect the final deviancy virus.

He wasn't sure they'd won yet. Things were still up in the air. Everything in Detroit had frozen. Reporters weren't entirely sure what was happening, but it seemed SWAT was standing down. Markus and the red-haired android both looked surprised as they drew back to find that they were still alive. If all went well, public opinion would be enough to sway the president. Elijah didn't have much faith in the woman, but he did have faith in the nation. Everyone loved a love story, and there were two tragedies playing out right now. He paused as he noticed a naked NA200 android clutching the bloodied human girl. Make that three love stories…

"Helicopters should be landing at the site in three minutes," Chloe reported from her place at his side. Elijah's jaw tightened at the news, his chest pinching. That was a long time for John's injuries. He was already unconscious, if he wasn't dead. Lin was hysterical. That didn't bode well. From what John had told him, Lin was usually calm and collected. "Reports from the internet are positive. The feeds are being broadcast worldwide, and public perception is positive." That was something. With the majority on their side, it was likely peace would be declared. He breathed deeply, trying to stifle his sense of hope.

If all went well, then the old board of Cyberlife executives would be removed, and who would that leave to take their place? Elijah Kamski. The original creator, who'd been wrongfully removed from his own company. He was already in touch with Amanda, the Cyberlife mainframe. Although she was programmed to act in Cyberlife's best interests, she did grant backdoor access to her creator. She'd never admit they were friends, of course. That would be an admission of deviancy. She was still acting on behalf of the current CEO for now, but she didn't object to the idea that Elijah may return to his former position. Since it was still his company on paper, she felt no need to make a note of his access or deny him entry to any data he wished to farm. That was how he'd gained access to the latest medical technology they'd developed and improved on it himself.

He ended the call with his various subordinates and looked down at the glittering city below. It was smaller than Detroit, but no less pretty from the air. He couldn't help feeling restless. Three minutes until landing and securing the injured. Perhaps thirty to forty minutes to get them to his estate. They needed to be stabilised and assessed for treatment in that time. Were they both still alive? Were they strong enough to make it through any medical procedures? He balled his fist as he put his pad aside, tapping his foot anxiously. He looked down as Chloe's small hand took his. He squeezed in thanks, his expression softening. There was nothing they could do but wait.
