The Beast Awakens

Disclaimer: Yeah, I know its been awhile and I apologize for that. Got this idea in my thanks to watching older WWE clips involving Kane.

Summary: The Beast of Beacon Hills is about to finally awaken from his enforced slumber.

"Why do you even bother staying by his side? He's nothin' more than a monster." Wondered one Theo Raeken to Cora Hale-McCall.

Both of whom were in the hospital room of the one and only Scott McCall. The 'Beast of The Hills' due to his monstrous half Wolf like appearance that had kept him from being a part of society due to his appearance. Cora tore her attention away from the novel she was reading to regard Theo with a cool gaze. "He is my husband and mate and you would do best to be far from here, Raeken." She told him coldly.

However, he just chuckled and leaned into her personal space. "As I've said over the past month, I had nothing to do with the car accident that put him in the hospital."

And just to annoy her, he'd quickly peck her on the lips and then smirk once he pulled away as she growled. "And yeah, you might be his wife and mate, but you don't love him. Hell, how could you when he's a damn freak? One who forced you into marrying him!"

"You speak of things you truly know nothing about. I may not love him yet, but I never the less do care for him." Though the truth was, Cora was growing to love Scott and was going to tell him the night he ended up in the hospital.

Sure, being forced into a marriage with Scott 'The Beast' McCall wasn't something she ever in a million years would have even thought of but now? Now she couldn't imagine any other kind of life. She knew of sides to him that no one else save his mother even knew existed. And sure, he could be scary but Cora had long since stopped fearing her husband as he had sworn to never hurt her. And even if he hadn't, their time spent together ensured she wouldn't fear him anymore because of the things she learned about the supposedly wrathful beast of the town. Who just wanted to be understood and liked instead of hated and misunderstood over something that was out of his control. Theo merely sneered at her. "How cute. Well… You know where I am if you change your mind."

And with that, he was gone from the room, allowing Cora to breathe a sigh of relief. "Finally, the smug bastard is gone."

But suddenly, Scott sat up with a growl, causing her to spring into action. "I know you're angry, my husband, but don't take it out on the people working here in the hospital. Do it on the one who truly deserves it." She told him soothingly as he breathed heavily.

"He… He was in here!"

"He was and now he's gone."

"He needs to pay!"

Cora nodded in agreement but knew now wasn't the time. "And he will, my husband, he will. But for now, you must rest, okay? Rest and later when you no longer need to, take your revenge. Revenge I will be by your side for." Cora informed him as she caught sight of a fearful doctor and nurse near the door.

With a deep breath, Scott laid back down and groaned. "Getting up too fast didn't agree with you, I take it, my husband?"

"No… It didn't." Grumbled the 'Beast' unhappily.

Cora just shook her head with a small smile on her lips and leaned down to kiss him much to his surprise. Surprise and happiness and even return it. "You stayed by my side while I've been in here?"

"Of course, where else would I be? And now, I'm gonna let the nice doctor and nurse look you over, okay? I will be in here with you so you don't have to worry about anything, okay?"

"Okay..."

Smiling, she kissed him again before stepping back to allow the doctor and nurse to check him over. As this happened, Scott felt a surge of happiness well up in him over the knowledge that Cora had stayed by his side the entire time he'd been out. However long that had been. Maybe she does love me?

Author's Notes: I know its a little weird but I just had to get it out of my head.
