Time passed, and my ultimate move improved. I finally managed to achieve simultaneous activation. I was able to do it for long enough to make a significant difference in battle.

My friends were all improving as well, perfecting their moves. Midoriya had switched to using his legs. Bakugou had changed from large blasts to smaller, more powerful ones with less range.

We were to take the test, it seemed, away from Class 1B, and as a class. Though unfortunately that wouldn't be very helpful for my quirk. After all, fighting in big groups isn't really my style.

And with my quirk it's not exactly safe anyway.

So the remaining days of training came and went, and nothing really changed. And in the blink of an eye, the bus was pulling up to the test site.

"The exam site. Takoba national stadium." It was pretty massive. So this was where we'd be taking the exam.

"I'm getting nervous!" cried Jirou.

"I didn't know it was at Takoba," said Midoriya, looking around in awe. I suppose he probably knows what this place is.

"What do you think we're going to have to do? Ha…I wonder if I can get a license," whined Mineta.

"Minute," said Mr. Aizawa, bending down to be at eye level with him. "It's not 'if.' Go and get it."

"Oh, definitely! Definitely!" he cried back.

"If you are able to pass this exam and get your provisional licenses, then you are no longer eggs. You will hatch and become chicks. Semi-pros. Do your best."

"All right! Let's do it! Let's become chicks!" cried Kaminari.

"Ok everyone, gather round!" said Kirishima. "Ready? Plus -"

"ULTRA!" boomed a strange voice. A huge guy in a military cap had popped in from nowhere. He was about six feet tall, shaven very close to the head. For some reason he caught my attention. Well, he was hard to miss. But I couldn't put my finger on why.

"It's not nice to randomly insert yourself in other people's huddles, Inasa," said a boy with purple hair in the same cap and school uniform, next to a blonde girl in the female version.

"AH, SORRY! PLEASE - " ACCEPT - MY HUMBLEST - APOLOGIES!" he screamed as he slammed his head into the ground in a kind of bow.

Um...what?

"Who is this guy that's so ridiculously pumped up?" cried Kaminari.

"It's like someone added Iida and Kirishima together and squared the result," said Sero.

"Wait a minute, those uniforms! Aren't those from that famous school in the west?"

"UA in the east, Shiketsu to the west," Bakugou muttered.

"Of the many hero departments out there, the elite school that matches up with UA. Shiketsu high!"

"I JUST WANTED TO TRY AND SAY IT ONCE! PLUS ULTRA! IT'S THE UTMOST HONOR TO BE ABLE TO OCMPETE WITH YOU ALL! I WISH YOU THE BEST!" screamed this Shiketsu high guy. "I REALLY LOVE UA!"

"Ah, blood," murmured the blonde girl, staring at the wound on his head.

"Let's go," said the purple hair boy.

"Nasa Yoarashi," said Mr. Aizawa.

"Do you know him, Sensei?" said Hagakure.

"He's crazy enthusiastic," said Kirishima," but he seems ike a nice guy."

"Yoarashi," said Sensei. At last year's entrance exam…in other words, the same year you all took it…in spite of receiving the top score and passing, for some reason he declined his admission offer."

"Huh? That mean's he's a first year? And if he got the top score…" mumbled Midoriya. Huh. If he was in the special recommendations, does that mean I met him? I'd probably remember him. He must have been in a different group. I glanced at Yaoyorozu to see if she recognized him; oddly, she was looking at me, as if she was expecting something.

Well...I suppose if he had top scores, that means he got in ahead of Yaoyorozu and me. He must be good, then, if he did better than her. A formidable opponent, in a sense.

Well, I'll have to do my best.
