I could hear the ground rumbling for a distance. Hope my classmates are ok.
The other students are moving around in groups of ten or more. I could attack first, but it would be annoying if there are people with quirks I'm weak against. Ideally, the other teams would fight each other and bring each other's number down before I launch my attack. Let's see, things have been moving quickly.
"The current number of people who have passed is 52. No 53. They just keep on coming." came over the announcement "Since there were people who took out more than two people, there are now 230 people who have failed. And just now the 54th person has passed. Less than half left, now! Hurry up, finish'
I can't just wait around, huh. I got up and got ready to move.
A ball came flying at me - It was easy to burn to dust.
"That was pretty good!" cam a voice. "As expected of the runner up of the UA sports Festival." I turned. A group of students in what looked like ninja were facing me. "Todoroki, was it? I can't believe you're acting alone, though. That's amazing. You must be really confident."
"But even if he is from UA, acting alone'll get himin trouble, don't you think? It's one on ten, you know. What're you going to do?"
"Thanks," I told them. "For saving me the trouble of finding you."
"Aren't you cool," one of them replied. They came at me - a barrage of balls, which ice stopped easily. And not just hte balls.
"Dammit, I can't move!" cried the trapped students.
"You guys, are you sure you watched the sports festival?"I asked.
"Of course we watched it!" said one of them, throwing something at me - a small metal - no a giant metal thing spinning right at me. The ice stopped it's path. A quirk that makes things bigger, huh?
"That's not all!" said one of them. They threw more giant pieces at me. I threw back more ice. Should I go all out? NO, but if there are more of them... They ice stopped holding out and broke - and a piece of metal again -
I threw flames at it but they did no good - even if I couldn't melt all of it, it didn't affect it at all?!
"That's because they're not made of ordinary metal!" called one of them. "They're made of tungsten, which can take super high temperatures! Didn't I tell you Todoroki? EVen if you're a UA student, acting alone shows you're overconfident!" they tossed out at me as I dodged.
"Do it!" called another. "Right!" two of them threw their quirks at me. Ice in defense was easy enough to throw back.
"Keep after him!"
"Got it!" they yelled, picking up pipes, throwing more and more at me. Water control.
Water for the flames and physical attacks for the ice. They've worked out a counterattack for everything. More fire to stop teh water.
"It's useless!" they shouted. I was getting surrounded by mist and gas.
But it was simple enough. The solution was obvious. The heroes public safety commission must have made a factory like this for the test on purpose. Telling us to fight using the idiosyncrasies of the buildings and terrain.
"There he is! Surround him!"
In this case, that must be -
the real thing.
It was easy to blow open the the cases with ice and fire. A flame to blow it up. And a quick move to get behind. The gas exploded and blinded them all.
"That bastard, he's crazy!" they called ut as I cornered them.
"It looks like the commision kept the force of the commission kept hte force of the explosiondown," I thought.
"Sorry," I told them, now completely pinned as I approached. "I can't afford to fail. "
