It was a rough day in the field. Nell had been trying to get evidence from a tech room when all of a sudden, 1 of the suspects barged in and started attacking her. It took Deeks to get the thug off her. She wasn't badly hurt, except she didn't want to admit how shaken up she was.

At the end of the day, Hetty asked her to come to her office.

Hetty's office

'Hetty, as I've already told you, I'm fine! Sure, I'm a little sore, but it's just a few scratches and a bump on the head. Nothing really serious.' Nell said.

Unconvinced. 'Please take a seat, Miss Jones.' Hetty replied.

She sat down.

'I know that you say that you're okay, except. I've heard that a lot. Heck, even I've used that excuse a few times! But, are you really okay, or are you just sayin that so we stop bugging you?' Hetty asked.

'What? It's 1 of the risks of the job. Yeah, it was a bit scary, but I could've taken him down if I had just been given another minute!

'In another minute, you could've either dead, or badly injured. It's okay to admit you were scared.'

Nell chuckled. 'I don't have to sit and listen to this.' She got up to leave.

'Please sit down.' Hetty requested.

'Or what? You'll suspend me? I'm a tech anaylist, you need me! And I'm perfectly fine.' Nell defiantly replied.

'Nell, you are acting very unreasonable right now. Please take a breath and calm down.'

'Pfft. You're not my mom, why are you acting like it?'

'Because I;m your boss and I'm very concerned about you right now!' Hetty exclaimed. 'Now please, calm down and tell me what's wrong.'

'I'm going home.' Then she walked off.

Hetty sighed. 'I hope she comes to her senses tomorrow.' She thought.

The next morning, she came into work early, and Nell was sitting on her couch clutching a pillow.

'It's possible that, I might have gone a little overboard yesterday.' Nell mumbled.

'Thank you for admitting it. Any other reason why you're here?' Hetty asked.

'Couldn't sleep. Mind too jumbled.'

Hettys sat down next to her.

'I get being too embarrassed to admit when trauma gets overwhelming. I acted like that a few times back in the CIA myself. But, hiding it in like that, only hurts more then heals.' She said.

'I want to be out in the field more, and I don't want anyone thinking I can't handle being attacked.' Nell replied.

'Nell, the reason why the agents work in pairs, is in case 1 of them needs help! Mr. Deeks was your partner for the day, and he came through like he was supposed to. We've seen your previous work outside of OPS, no one's going to think you can't handle it. But, lashing out when they just want to know if you're okay, isn't a good idea.'

Nell then instantly felt really guilty.

'I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I acted like a complete fool.' Then Hetty hugged her.

'Ohhhh, there there. You're okay now, and that's all that matters.
