Hey everyone, Obsidian here and welcome to the first ever official episode of Total Drama Knightfall! This introduction episode was a huge pain for me to write, haha. I had a pretty hard time juggling between this and school so I hope this didn't turn out as shabby as I expected lol. (Shoutout to Minjiuu though, for quickly revising this, haha)
Enjoy!
Episode 1 Part 1: Neue Gesichter
Everyone in the crew along with Chris and Dustin were by the manor's garden asleep in sleeping bags and tents (or in Dustin's case, the bench). The sun was starting to rise up as everyone's surroundings seemed a tad dark for the time being.
"Ugh, what time is it?" Chris groaned, waking himself up from his blue baggy sleeping bag and looked over at the horizon. It seemed too early to be at least six o'clock. Grabbing his nearby watch that was unceremoniously thrown on to the grass last night, he took a quick gander at it.
Five a.m.
With this, he grabbed his flashlight and turned the switch on, and shone the light over by the crew. Some of them groaned in response to how the brightness flashed against their closed eyes, some instantly woke up in response to the host's wake up call, and others didn't even flinch.
Chris sighed and rolled his eyes over as some didn't even want to get up.
"Wake up."
The host flinched. He was about to say so himself, but all he heard was the dark and ominous voice of Dimetrius. It didn't even matter as most of the crew nearly threw themselves off of their beds and tents, equally surprised as the host.
"Boss, who was that?" said one cameraman who wore a purely shocked expression like the others.
Chris' own expression quickly turned back into sleepy and neutral before giving out his response. "Just some voice that lives in that manor."
This made Dimetrius somewhat angry. "I am just not a voice, sleepy one. I am Dimetrius Ranunculus Knightfall, King of Manoria-"
"Yeah yeah yeah, we get the whole king of manor- whatever thing. Crew, go wake up the rest as we have a show to run for the day." Chris immediately ordered the rest of his crew as he fished out his phone, dialing a bus driver to try and pick up the cast that lived around the city.
The sun was shining brightly at this point as what everyone could now see was a bus heading for the city that they were destined to. The bus contains the season's cast to be exact.
The driver sighed as he looked at his GPS from time to time, making sure that he didn't go over on a wrong route or else he would be screwed for life.
"Turn right."
"Fiddlesticks!" The driver cursed himself, realizing that he missed the turn and made the turn so sharp that some of the passengers behind him yelped out in surprise.
"Would you slow down next time?" One girl behind him called out in a rather accusing manner. "Goodness gracious, is this how commoners drive their vehicles these days?"
The girl was Laila Ruby Calloway. Even though she was sitting, she looked pretty tall, standing at 5'9 feet, plus sporting her rather deliberately skinny, modelesque hourglass figure. Her tanned complexion complimented her Caucasian-Middle Eastern features, along with her extremely well kept long blonde hair with reddish streaks. Her bright blue eyes radiated a rather annoyed look that matched her comment about the driver. Even judging by her attire, which was a gold dress reaching just above the knees with a bow tied around the waist, black thigh-high socks, silver-studded Mary Janes, and a pale pink wool coat, you could tell that she came from a well-taken care of environment, and her plain gold necklace and matching amethyst rings only contributed to her rather golden look. "I certainly do not want to ride in this filthy excuse of a vehicle ever again for the rest of my life! Plus… oh lord, the stench in this thing!"
"Yeah, I agree with rich lady over there, why does it smell like dirty old gym socks soaked with cow manure?" was the complaint of another girl, this time, seated just behind the first girl. She was Wyonetta Wilfred. The Filipino-Canadian looked quite shorter than Laila but she was even more athletic due to her build, probably must've been because of the fact that she is a hockey player. Her black shoulder length hair rests by her shoulders and her brown eyes looked as much as annoyed as Laila's. Her clothes were pretty sporty in style as well, thanks to her purple hockey 09 shirt and black yoga pants, with her sky blue spherical earrings as accessories. "Hell, even my locker doesn't smell this bad!"
"Eh, I've smelled things worse than that." said a boy who was seated somewhere near a window. He was named Foster Hasan. Well… not his real name but he prefers that he would be called this way. His dulled blue eyes just looked at the window near his seat, his messy brown hair being blown by the wind. Standing at a height of 5'11 and sporting a Caucasian, lean and muscular build, it looked as if he had work to do with his life. His red shirt with tears at the bottom, ripped blue pants, sleeveless black jacket and worn down black shoes though say otherwise and they even compliment the scars and faded bruises on his skin. "You know, you guys need to learn how to endure in this kind of contest that they are going to be holding."
"Yup, I agree." said another boy quietly next to the first guy, not even managing to speak after that. This boy was Tyler Diamond. He was tall, even while sitting… or maybe it was because of the fact that he stands at 6'1 ft with a well toned, decently muscled build. His dark brown hair was tied back into a short ponytail to keep from going on over his face, though he actually had a small beard growing on his chin, it was actually neatly cut. His black eyes just stared at the ground, keeping him quiet for the time being. His attire gave him the vibes of a hunter considering his forest green camouflage jacket, matching pants and boots, with black, tactical gloves on his hands. Not to mention, his compass that was on a string tied just on his neck. Beneath his jacket though were different sorts of scars from animal bites and scratches.
"...Are we there yet?" A big, athletic boy slightly yawned as he leaned onto the window, seemingly sleepy from the whole ride but was trying hard to fight it with his enthusiasm in his eyes in contrast to his sleepiness. This was Fridge Girard. He was the tallest boy, or rather the tallest person in the cast standing at 7'1 ft which complimented his big strong body. He appeared to be Canadian but was mixed with a bit of German ethnicity. His black hair was in a buzz cut and although his brown eyes looked sleepy, they still had the excitement in them. His attire was also simple; a blue tank top with a bit of black, matching shorts, and white and red sneakers.
"Aww, now's not the time to get sleepy! We still have a show to enter! Aren't you excited?" A Turkish girl sitting next to him asked excitedly. This girl was Aditi Seyyal, albeit the shortest girl of the cast, standing at 5'2 ft with a delicate slightly built body with a light olive skin tone. She has chestnut brown short shaggy hair that reaches to her neck and has a small cowlick on top of her head, also having round green meadow eyes with a beauty mark below her right one. She also has a small tattoo of a cow and rooster on her back and several other mysterious symbols that one couldn't make out of what they were. For clothing, she has a dark green unbuttoned black-fur lined hooded parka with a black long sleeved t-shirt underneath it. She also wears dark brown slim cargo pants with a brown leather belt holding it for bottoms. For footwear, she has dark green hiking boots. She also carries with her a large dark green backpack on her back with her kits and everything she needs to survive the wild. And lastly for accessories, she wears a silver necklace that holds a platinum ring with an emerald gemstone in the center.
"Yeah!" Fridge exclaimed, trying to get the sleepiness out of him.
On the other hand, a boy, Jace Bradley Hillcrest, was seated up front, quietly writing in his notebook. Jace was a tall, white boy (not as tall as Fridge though) standing at 6'2.5 feet with a very scrawny, rectangular-y build. His black hair was styled into a medium comb over haircut, with a few strands of dyed red hair going in front of his eyes ending by the middle of his neck before seeping over to the left. There were freckles underneath his eyes that were focused in his notebook, and there was also a mole on his left cheek. His attire was monochromatic in color, that being a bulky black hoodie, gray sweatpants, and gray running shoes.
However, something by his window caught his bright green eyes as they were headed for an intersection.
"Hey, watch out!"
The driver, who was beyond sleepy at this point, had almost little to no time to react as a truck crashed into the bus with an extremely hard impact. Everyone inside the bus yelped out by how sudden it was.
One of the contestants, Hector Avery, held onto his seat as he was the only handicapped teen present. Hector was a Caucasian boy that stood 5'9, although it was notable that his feet were paralyzed so he was sitting for most of the time (he had his wheelchair under his seat. However, his other parts of the body were notable because he trained them so they would make up for the lack of ability his legs have. His hair was medium and brown in color while his hazel eyes wore mixed expressions of shock and fear due to what had just happened. His clothing was also pretty casual: a green shirt with a black hoodie, a pair of jeans, white socks and black and white tennis shoes.
The bus spun once for a bit, before slowly skidding into a halt.
"Ugh… what happened…" Hector groaned, his hand searching for his wheelchair under his seat.
"Did… did we just crash into something?" asked a Greek-American girl. She was about 5'7 feet in height, sporting a slim and delicate build with an amber skin color. Her hair was brown and wavy, side-swept onto the left with her caramel highlights that go to her mid-back. Her sapphire blue eyes (the right one having a beauty mark under it) had a slight panic on them but she calmed down as soon as she realized something. She dusted her navy blue wide-leg sleeveless v-neck jumpsuit and adjusted her white sash around her waist, regaining her composure with the current happening. Her footwear consists of white open-toe dress heels that had her feet tapping on the ground to somehow calm herself down. There was also a multi-strand necklace with black pearls spaced out on it, silver teardrop earrings with a black pearl on them, and silver black pearl/sapphire cuff on the right wrist as accessories. She was Laverne Rayne Cross.
The girl that sat next to Laverne, named Maelle Crispen, held her own head in pain as if a major headache hit her. She was the tallest girl of the cast, standing at 6'0 ft with a thin, but athletic Caucasian build. She had black wavy hair that is wavy and goes down to her shoulders with straight-cut bangs, along with dull grey eyes. Her attire, which was a maid uniform, consists of a long black apron dress in a pinafore style with four silver buttons along the middle of the torso of her dress and a purple rose emblem on the right side of the skirt. Underneath, she wears a purple button-down shirt with long, frilly sleeves, black lace that pops out from the bottom of the skirt, and a black tie. On her lies a black headdress with black lace and a purple rose attached to it. She also has purple stockings, black gloves, and black mary-janes. "I do not know, but my head hurts from all the spinning."
"I think something crashed into us on purpose. I mean, how would they not see us crossing the intersection?" said a Korean-Indian girl of average height. She had a quite leaned build but had it toned for the most part. Her straight, beach-wave ended hair was black with silver tips that looked like messy blotches. She also had eyes that were a darker navy-indigo blueish color. Her clothing was… not something you would call simple: tan leather sandals with mud brown straps, with the straps having small fake diamonds embroidered in the seam, tan khaki shorts that go down to her knees, (in which she keeps several good luck charms and other stuff in it, a long-sleeved black t-shirt that has a image of a Native American dreamcatcher on it with the words SHAMAN QUEEN in big bold white block letters on the bottom, and a black-and-white checkered headband with several goose feathers sticking out of the sides which made her stood out. This was Naka Askari Elmore.
Another girl that sat adjacent from her was looking at her camera that hung just by her neck. She stood at 5'9, she was Greek and had an athletic build to her. Her black short hair just reaches past her shoulders, having a fringe with a green viper hair clip that pulls it all together. Her medium brown eyes were looking carefully at the picture of her camera. Her attire mostly shouts out the word black: her sweatshirt with a dark green viper on it, her skirt with a dark green trim, and her buckle shoes with knee-high socks… were all black. "Well, my camera somehow took photos of that truck from a distance… and I guess we could only conclude that it crashed into us." said the girl, who goes by the name of Pandora Yune.
A fifth girl who was seated in the front stood up and looked at everyone behind her. She was 5'5 in height, and was of Native-American descent, Chickasaw to be exact. She was sporting a lean muscular build so it was probably clear that grew up doing ranch work. Her black wavy hair was tied into a ponytail and her brown eyes looked towards the rest of the castmates to see if they're alright. Her attire consisted of faded black, ripped jeans, dark brown cowboy boots, light red short-sleeved shirt, and a blue jean jacket with the sleeves reaching midway to her forearm. This contributed to her rather ranch-like vibe that she was giving off. There was also a red, beaded bracelet on her left wrist and two rigid, zigzagged scars on her right hand and wrist. She was Jessica Whitmore.
"Is everyone okay?" she asked the rest.
"I'm okay." said a boy, Gerald Piscurr, who was seated behind her. The Caucasian boy stood at 5'9 feet with brown medium length hair combed to the right. His blue eyes radiated assurance as he was indeed okay despite the crash. His attire just consists of a half red half black t-shirt, blue Jeans, and black sneakers. "And Allan is too."
"Ha… who's this Allan?" scoffed a shorter boy obnoxiously. He appears to be very white and scrawny, with his black hair styled like an upside down bowl. His blue eyes gave off a rather obnoxious vibe compared to Gerald's and had glasses that had thick lenses on them. He simply wore a red sweater-vest with a white dress shirt underneath, khaki pants, and brown dress shoes. He was known as Sheldon Nietro.
"My friend." Gerald answered. "He's sitting next to me right now."
"Psh, but no one is sitting next to you!"
"Stop, please." sighed a Filipino girl, Tala Solis, sitting nearby. "We just had a car accident and you guys are… well… not getting along this early." She was quite average in height, but taller than Aditi, standing at 5'4, though she has a rather stockier, heavy-set, slightly pear shaped build onto her. Her straight black hair reaches just to her shoulders and brown eyes that you could tell that she is quite an intelligent person. She simply wore a dark gray hoodie with a red short sleeve shirt underneath it, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers, and carried around a small notebook of sudoku puzzles to keep her in company while on the ride, due to her love for science, math, and puzzles.
"You know, can you guys try and look at things in the positive side so that we won't have to think about this too much?" asked a rather fat boy from the near back. Standing at 5'10, he seems to have a fat build to him; no, not athletic like Fridge's. He appears to have a French ethnicity to him, having dirty blond hair that he just leaves unkempt along with light brown eyes. As for his attire, he wears a black jacket to try and hide some of his "big bones" (or so that's how he calls them) and brown baggy pants along with a pair of sneakers. He is Eli Tanner.
"Yeah, I agree." Rory Cooper added in agreement to Eli's request. He was a tall, Caucasian boy sporting an inverted triangle build with his shoulders and chest being a bit wider than his waist. Having black, mid-neck length hair and hazel eyes that gave him the look of simply agreeing to another person's statement, he didn't seem to add anything else to his own statement, which was quite understandable given the situation. He also went for a more comfortable style of clothing, that being a dark grey sleeveless shirt, light blue jeans, and red and black sneakers. There was also a faux silver lip ring on the right side of his mouth.
Everyone started to get up for a bit to try and exit the bus when suddenly-
"Wait!" Jeremy Rose shouted from the back. Jeremy didn't look so tall, standing at 5'5 having a thin and slim build. He had medium length black hair with bangs covering his right eye, having to wear eye contacts that contrast his natural green eye color. He also wears his own favorite red hoodie, one simple pair of headphones around his neck, and black jeans with red trainers on his feet. "Why does it feel like… why does it feel like the bus is tilting backwards all of a sudden?"
Summer Caitlin Pritchard immediately looked back towards the bus's emergency exit with her light blue eyes and gasped. Summer was pretty tall, standing at 5'9 feet with her slender Caucasian figure. Her hair was blond in an 80s wavy style. As for attire, she simply had on a sleeveless black tank top and stonewashed blue jeans with black and white high tops. "Oh my gosh… I think we're about to fall off of the cliff!"
The girl seated next to Summer quickly gave a loud, rather over exaggerating gasp (though from the looks of it, she seemed to be pretty genuine despite how exaggerating her reaction was. She looked to be the second tallest girl in the cast next to Maelle with a height of 5'10 but this did not contrast well with her build as she looked more like a stick due to how thin she was. Her features show that she is 100% Korean compared to Naka who was only half of it. From the looks of her waist-length hair that looked as if it was curled by a hair curler that was naturally black but dyed in darker brown color with magenta highlights, in which she tied it half up half down with a black ribbon, she looked as if she were an idol who had experienced dying their hair multiple times. Her black eyes were filled with expressive fright. Her choice of clothing was pretty simple: a fitted white turtleneck sweater, black skinny jeans held by a black belt, and black heeled boots that reached just past her ankles. As for accessories, she has an ear piercing on her left ear but has heart earrings on both, accompanied with a silver white necklace. This girl was Sua Choi. "Nooooo unnie! I don't want to die yet! What- what about my fans? My Dreamers?"
Pierre McLowery, who was seated behind both Sua and Summer in the backseat grunted in frustration and yelled out towards the driver. He stood at six feet with a thin build, though he looked fairly attractive because of his looks, those being neatly gelled dirty blond hair, pale skin, and deep blue eyes. His attire also consists of a light blue polo shirt and blue jeans, with trainers that had a darker shade of blue onto them. He also wore a pair of gold thin-rimmed glasses with a matching gold watch on his wrist. "Hey driver!? You might want to step on the gas pedal! Ugh, I feel like I'm gonna be sick-"
All of a sudden, the driver had snapped himself back into reality from his dreamland and looked at his surroundings, and as well as towards the frightened teens. "Hold on!" He shouted, stepping on the gas pedal as hard as he could go.
Thankfully, the bus was able to stand onto its ground. Being on the mountainside was quite difficult and with Manoria located in the city of the mountainside… that was something that one should take note off: be careful when driving up on the mountain. Much to everyone's relief, the bus was able to recover, and now everyone was on their way to Manoria… for real now.
In the manor's entrance about almost an hour later, Chris and some of his staff members were present (though some were actually a bit sleepy due to where he had to sleep). They were currently on the lookout to see if the bus would arrive by the minute.
"Alright everyone! Here they come-" he said oh so joyfully as he could see the bus from afar.
It soon came into a halt just by the front pavement of the gates where the staff were waiting.
The camera pans back to the host who was now wearing a bemused smirk on his face as he was pretty eager to get things started (in contrast to some of his sleepy staff members).
"Let's get started with the contestants, so first up, we have Foster!" He immediately declares, cueing the survivalist to come out of the bus. For the first person that got out, Chris was surprised that he looked the least panicked out of the majority of the bus's passengers even after that wild ride. "So… how was the trip?"
"Been through worse. You can't just be all happy and peppy knowing what we've been through in the past half hour, though!"
Chris let a chuckle escape from him. "Huh, really? After that rather wild ride? Nah, judging by the looks of you guys, you didn't seem to be too bothered."
"Yeah, never mind then."
"Well then," the host sighed, not being able to get a proper first impression on this guy. "See that blue flower patch over there? Go ahead and stand by it."
"Alright then." Foster simply shrugged before heading towards the blue flower patch with a complete straight face.
There were three flower patches by the left side of the entrance. The left one where Foster was standing by was blue hydrangeas. The middle one had red roses on them. And lastly, the right one had yellow marigolds.
Chris had finally decided to ignore Foster's neutral expression as he decided to move onto the second contestant. "Next up we have Eli!"
The couch potato lazily went out of the bus as he was already wearing a tired expression. "That trip was tiring."
"I heard that the bus nearly fell off of the mountain. Yikes." Chris pretended to flinch (much to the annoyance of Dustin who was standing on the corner).
Eli shrugged, but managed to maintain a rather positive expression. "Well, at least we didn't die I guess. We had to get up so early though, I don't want to have to wake up that early again, who knows, maybe the driver was sleepy so he nearly drove off-"
"Yeah yeah, whatever. You can go ahead and stand by the red flower patch." Chris immediately dismissed the boy who complied with him anyway. "But for contestant number three, we have Pierre!"
The blonde boy stepped out of the bus, looking as nauseous as ever. "Do you have a bathroom?"
"This building behind you is a manor, so of course we have a bathroom! When do you see a house with no bathroom, yeesh! Just stand by the yellow flower patch and hold it in until we're done." The host rolled his eyes.
Much to his misery, he walked by the yellow flower path as he was told, his hand just on his mouth to prevent himself from hurling.
"Alright then… for our fourth contestant, we have Tala!"
The Filipino girl stepped out of the bus, quickly observing her surroundings as she did so.
"Well this doesn't seem half-bad." She muttered to herself as she went by Chris. "What have you done to the driver?"
The host cleared his throat. "Fun fact. The driver is not a morning person. So he was probably asleep during the wild part of the ride." He laughed sheepishly, but it quickly faded as he saw Tala's rather blunt expression. "Yeah, whatever. You can go stand with Foster over there by the red flower patch."
"Hm, okay then." Tala simply nodded, the rather intelligent girl looking at the beauty of the flowers in the patches as she stood by Foster. "I have to say, these flowers are pretty."
"Picked by yours truly." Chris smirked, feeling proud of himself. "They had no flowers in them so I just happened to order some real quick and planted them."
"Ah, I see."
"Yeah. Enough with the flower talk though, because now we have Aditi!"
The energetic girl didn't even have to use the steps on the bus's entrance and just leaped her way out of the bus. Judging by her rather excited eyes, she looked as if she didn't seem too bothered with the bus incident.
"Hiiii, Chris!" The Turkish girl immediately greeted him loudly with a friendly wave. "The ride was fuuuun! It lets all my energy out! Hopefully I'll have enough energy to conquer whatever may come!"
"Oh great. A fun one. Oh no…" Chris sighed but cleared his throat before the girl could notice his first impression on her. "Uh, why don't you go stand over by the red flower patch with Eli."
"Sure thing!" she smiled brightly and skipped over to the red flower patch, immediately waving at Eli who just responded to her with another wave of greeting. "Ooooh, these look pretty!~"
"Okay, who's next…" Chris asked himself (most likely trying to ignore Aditi's loud cheerfulness) looking at his list of contestants. "Ah, everyone, please welcome Summer!"
The 80s girl gingerly took a step out of the bus greeting everyone with a friendly wave much like how Aditi did (except that, let's just say she didn't look as loud as the Turkish girl much to Chris' relief). She greeted Chris with a small smile, just a tad optimistic despite the ride.
Chris sighed. "I'm assuming that you also had fun with the ride?"
"Um, not really… but I'm just glad that nothing super bad happened to us." Her gaze quickly gestured onto the mansion. "Huh, I guess rich people probably designed their houses something like this in the 80s, I feel like I've seen an exterior like this before-"
"Well for your information, we live like, thirty years after your favorite timeline so why don't you go over there by the yellow flower patch with Mr. About-To-Hurl." Chris instructed the girl, pointing towards the marigold patch where Pierre was standing by it, still attempting to prevent himself from hurling.
"Oh, okay." Summer nodded despite Chris' rather straight up response, waving to the other contestants currently there (with some waving to her back), having a good feeling that she'll make friends already.
"While we're at it, let's welcome our resident hunter, Tyler!"
Tyler emerged out of the bus, not taking his eyes off of the ground as he did so.
"You know what, I'm not even gonna ask about the ride anymore because a lot of you seemed pretty fine with it unlike Pierre over there." Chris pointed towards the boy before turning his attention over back at Tyler. "So, how are you?"
"...good?" Tyler answered awkwardly, almost immediately not liking the sense of direction this conversation was taking him.
"Yeah, maybe just stand by that blue flower patch there Foster and Tala." He instructed, pointing towards both teens who were admiring the looks of the hydrangeas.
"I'll do that…" Tyler quickly nodded, almost dashing towards the pair, whom he was met with a wave from Tala and a nod of approval from Foster.
A dissatisfying look appeared on Chris' face. "When are we gonna get someone interesting… I thought these bunch of teens could already give us some ratings on the dot!" He ranted to himself, looking at the cast who seemed to be getting along with each other. "Oh well… next up we have Fredrick! Or… Fridge. Whatever."
Fridge almost dashed out of the bus' exit, but due to his extremely tall and buff size, his head hit the bus's ceiling, causing him to almost shriek out in pain before yelling out, "I'm okay!" afterwards. He stumbled up on Chris, but unfortunately, the dizziness of his head being hit crept up on him and so, he ended up falling on top of the host with a loud thud.
Fridge gasped and immediately stood up, noticing that he pressed the host against the dirt. "Oh no! I-I killed the host!" He got onto his knees. "I'm so sorry! The season is over and it hasn't started yet thanks to me!"
"Yeah, sure you did…" Chris mumbled from the dirt before spitting it out, a pissed expression already evident in his face causing the jock to flinch a little. "Why don't you go over to the red flower patch before you crush anyone else up-"
"Will do!" Fridge gave a quick salute and jogged over next to Eli and Aditi, sighing in relief as he felt like he won't be able to, you know, crush them by accident due their sizes.
Chris dusted himself off, already wanting this episode to end but remembers that he has a lot of people left to introduce. "Ugh… next up on our list is our writer Jace!"
The boy casually walked up to the host, still with his notebook on hand.
"Please tell me you didn't just write in your book throughout the whole trip." Chris rolled his eyes and sighed, much to his disappointment about having another calm contestant.
"Not really, the ride was too bumpy so I figured it would be hard to write, I guess." Jace shrugged. "I mean, if I were to write in a vehicle, my writing would've been all over the place."
Chris just nodded, having a completely 'I'm so done' look on his face. "Alright then… if you're such a writer… then why don't you go over by the yellow flower patch with the few teens over there who were apparently written by other people."
"I beg your pardon?"
"Just… go." Chris said with a forced smile as he finally walked away from him. "Gosh, finally. Next up on our long list is our photographer, Pandora!"
After a quick flash coming from a camera presumably her own, Pandora stepped out of the bus with a rather astonished look upon seeing her lavish surroundings. She took a quick picture of a bird that just so happened to be chirping next to Chris before putting down her camera.
Chris blinked twice to regain his sense of sight as he looked at the flash by accident and blinded himself for a moment. "Well, welcome. And put that camera down, I don't think the old spirit over there wants you taking pictures of his lawn."
"Silence, raven-haired one!" Dimetrius' voice echoed from the entrance, causing some of the contestants to be startled. Others jumped in fright, screamed a little, and even cheered (in courtesy of Aditi).
Even Pandora wore an extremely surprised expression but was quickly replaced by a curious look. "...Is he real?"
"Maybe he is, maybe he's not." Chris sighed tiredly, pointing at the blue flower patch. "Stand over there, please. And just… try not to take so many pictures."
"I will try my best." Pandora smiled before sauntering over to the blue flower patch.
"Thank you. Ah, who's next… oh. Please welcome, Laila!"
Laila stepped onto the bus extremely carefully so as to not damage her shoes by tripping, and immediately had her eyes glued onto the place with awe at how lavish it looked. "Like I have never left the comfort of my own home." She grinned, walking towards the rest but her astonished looked quickly turned into an annoyed one. "Who are these people?"
"Uh, your competition." Chris rolled his eyes.
"Nonsense! Why would a group of low-classed commoners have the privilege to enter in such a place?" Laila immediately scoffed, crossing her arms in the process. Her eyes darted to Foster, mostly because of his choice of clothing. "And this… what you're wearing… is this what you call trendy?"
Foster was about to give her a piece of his mind before Chris decided to intervene. "Laila, I appreciate the drama you're about to bring but I suggest you stand by the red flower patch before you, you know."
Laila responded to him with an eye roll before strutting over to the red flower patch, keeping herself distanced from Eli (who didn't care), Fridge (who was afraid he's accidentally crush her like what he did to Chris), and Aditi (who just apparently wore a big goofy smile).
Chris smirked at the drama about to ensue but cleared his throat to introduce the next contestant. "Yeah, and well, for our next contestant, let's have our extremely generic kpop idol, Sua!"
Sua exited the bus with an already excited look, repeatedly waving to the cameras. She bowed towards Chris and the other contestants, before loudly introducing herself. "Annyeong, Choi Sua imbnida~"
"I don't understand a single word you're saying besides your name, so do you mind if you introduce yourself, you know, in English?" Chris asked, staring daggers at her.
Sua widened her eyes in realization and gave a quick bow of apology to everyone. "Uhh, hi, my name is Sua-"
"That's better." Chris dismissed her. "Onto the yellow flower patch you go."
"...Ah." Sua gave him a quick nod before quickly going by the yellow flower patch as he said so.
"There we go. Now for our next contestant in our list, we have Gerald!" Chris gave off a rather sarcastic clap (partially because of how tired he already was) but proceeded anyway.
Gerald left the bus and eyed the host. "Allan says that you forgot to introduce him."
Chris loudly chuckled. "Allan? Who on earth is Allan?" He asked as if it were some mere joke.
"Allan says he doesn't want to be laughed at and he doesn't want to be called a joke either." Gerald stated as a matter of factly.
The host could already feel the annoyance creeping up within him and so he decided to dismiss the boy quickly. "Fine. Why don't you and… Allan go stand by the blue flower patch?"
Gerald nodded. "Allan says he will, so I will do so as well." He declared before walking up to the blue flower patch.
"Alright then, finally. Now we have… someone who needs help getting down the bus. I think… Well anyway, please welcome Hector!"
With the help of the rather sleepy bus driver, he managed to help the boy exit the bus with his wheelchair.
"I'll take it from here, thanks." Hector quickly thanked the bus driver before he went back on the bus and began to sleep. The boy meanwhile, rolled his wheelchair just by the three flower patches.
"Well, I'm not sure how you will be able to compete in a season like this, but I'm sure you'll pull it off." Chris commented, giving him a shrug. "Let's see what team you would go to…" He said, pushing Hector's wheelchair carefully just by the red flower patch. "There."
"...Thanks?" Hector raised an eyebrow at the host's move as he was usually used to maneuvering it himself.
"Yeah, that's better. Alright then, now we have our drummer Rory!" Chris introduced with a jazzy hand motion before the drummer exiting the bus was near of sight.
Rory stepped by Chris and greeted him and everyone else with a quick wave. "Hey, what's up you guys?"
The host facepalmed himself and began to mutter. "I can't believe they legit forgot about how crazy their ride was."
The drummer shrugged after a few seconds, not exactly knowing how to respond to what the host had just muttered in front of him. "Well, I don't think that's something that we should remember for now… because… yeah."
"The fact that this could've been good for the ratings…" he grumbled.
Everyone looked at him, as well as Rory who just gave him a look of confusion.
"Just… go stand by that yellow flower patch over there or something." Chris ordered the drummer. He gave the host a quick nod that he would do so, and complied anyway. "Yeah. Now we have… who's next… oh, Maelle."
The maid walked gracefully out of the bus, completely unbothered by the ride similar to a few of the others. But even more so, she looked bothered at Chris' annoyed face.
"Pardon me, but do explain the facial expression?" She asked him as if judging his facial expressions were extremely important to her (well, she is poised after all).
"This… this is my happy face… if you do not know..." Chris murmured to himself, wanting this day to just be done for now so that he would easily get over with it. "Go over there by the blue flower patch with that lot."
"Will do." Maelle flashed a formal smile before walking towards presumably the blue team.
"So much for that." Chris said as he dusted off his clothes. "I need to regain myself… next up on our list is no other than Laverne."
The Greek model strutted out of the bus with a confident smile on her face. She looked at her competition with a look of respect, then at Chris with the same expression. "Hello Chris, it is a pleasure to meet you."
"Yeah, pleasure to meet you too." Chris answered, though he didn't look too pleased at all as his tired expression seemingly overpowered and covered more than half of his looks. "I take it that you're alright wih that ride?"
"No one would want to talk about such a near tragedy, if that is alright." Laverne told him in a kind voice, though she seemed to be bothered by the fact that the bus incident literally had put the contestants in such a state right before the season could even begin.
"Okay then… just stand over by the red flower patch with those guys." He pointed towards the red team. Laverne gladly complied, signaling Chris to introduce the next person. "Now we have Wyonetta!"
The hockey player exited out of the bus, immediately looking intensely at her competition. "So this is who I'm up against, eh?" She said, looking over from Foster to Fridge to Hector and to even Summer. "These guys look pretty easy to beat-"
"Maybe you're gonna have to watch what you're saying…" Rory quietly stated as he looked down, hoping that Wyonetta wouldn't really hear his remark.
"Whatever. What team am I on?" Wyonetta asked Chris, almost sounding as if she were demanding for an answer but also sounded as if she was inquiring at the same time.
"Uh, yellow." Chris answered. As he watched her walk over to the yellow team, he felt a bit bummed that no drama happened after that. "Anyway, our next teen is our musical nerd Jeremy!"
The teen exited the bus, as he took off his headphones and left them by his neck. He nervously examined his competition before turning over to Chris. "Uh… hi."
"Yeah, hi. I hope you realize you're gonna have to talk more than just hi." Chris obnoxiously stated.
"Well I know, but… I don't even know what to say at this point." Jeremy nervously said as he twiddled with his fingers.
Chris shrugged. Well, what can he do at this point? "Alright then. Just go by the blue team over there."
"Okay, sure…" he nodded before slowly walking over to the red flower patch that had the flowers in it contrasting the color of his red hoodie.
Chris immediately turned his attention back to his list of contestants. "Third to last in our list, we have Jessica!"
The born leader quickly made her way out of the bus and walked towards everyone. "Greetings everyone, I wish you all luck in this competition."
"Good luck to you too!" Eli hollered out optimistically to her, hopefully getting the moods up even just a little.
"Why is there no drama here…" Chris muttered to himself, a bit disappointed at how positive almost everyone is. "Anyway, just head over to the red flower patch."
As she made her way to the red team, she was immediately greeted with smiles from a few of them. (With Fridge sheepishly stepping back for a bit, hoping that he wouldn't accidentally crush anyone)
"Okay then, up next is our obnoxious nerd in contrast to Jeremy, we have Sheldon!"
The nerd almost jumped out of the bus, dusting himself as soon as he landed. "Frankly Chris, we would not have succumbed ourselves into such a dilemma if your fellow bus maneuver does not have the sleeping habits of an owl."
"He's a night owl, what do you expect?" Chris asked him, not expecting the statement coming from the nerd.
"These are merely just my insights. That is all, and I am willing to respect your own thoughts if there are any." Sheldon added.
No response came from Chris at that moment. After about a full minute, the host decided to reveal to him his team. "Why don't you just go by the yellow flower patch, and you know, keep your mouth shut for the time being, thank you very much."
"If I must." Sheldon replied with his head held high as he sauntered over to the yellow team.
"Last one… finally. Okay, last but not the least, we have Naka!" Chris announced as the Korean-Indian girl finally made her way out of the bus.
"Ah… so this is Manoria?" Naka asked, seemingly astonished by the manor's looks. And not to mention, the golden details the gates had upon everyone's entrance. No one else had noticed them besides her anyway, and at least she had taken a gander on them. "Oh, how neat."
"Yeah… welcome to Manoria." Chris said in the most enthusiastic way he could, trying not to sound like he was hurrying the hell up.
"Thank you." Naka replied politely, before looking up to him then at her competition for about a second later. "So I guess this is the part where you will tell me what my team is?"
"Oh yeah… hmm…" Chris looked at the three flower patches with the teens surrounding all three of them. "Well… all three groups have seven members so… why don't you go over there by the blue team?"
"Sure." Naka simply nodded and marched over to the blue team.
"Hey, why do they get eight members while the rest of us only get seven?" Jessica quickly asked, but unfortunately was ignored by Chris himself, due to the fact that everyone was now present.
"Finally, we have everyone!" Chris sighed in relief as he counted all twenty-two teens who were chosen to compete for this season. "Now let's get down to our teams." He looked at Dustin who was just standing about a few meters away from him. "And that is where you come in."
The assistant rolled his eyes with a slight sigh as Chris handed him a list of all the names and who was on which team. "So… for those who are standing by the blue hydrangea flower patch, Foster, Tyler, Gerald, Jeremy, Tala, Pandora, Maelle, and Naka-"
"And Allan." Gerald added.
Dustin sighed again in annoyance before complying to Gerald's addition anyway. "...and Allan… you guys are the Blue Chevaliers!"
One of the interns in the side tossed the group a sky blue banner with a picture of a knight on it, having a blue feather on his helmet. Both Foster and Tyler managed to catch it with no problem.
"Those in the red rose flower patch… Eli, Fridge, Hector, Aditi, Laila, Laverne, and Jessica, you guys will make up the Red Ritter team!" Dustin announced.
Another intern chucked a similar looking banner to the group. But instead of the other team's blue banner, they have received a red banner. This time, Fridge was about to catch said banner but almost tripped right in front of Hector. Luckily, he was able to catch it successfully, otherwise, he would've actually squashed the handicapped teen and his wheelchair by accident and no one wants that.
"That… that was a close one." Hector sighed in relief before turning towards the jock. "Just… be more careful."
"I'm sorry!" Fridge quickly apologized.
"Yeah… we don't want any… early problems." Dustin muttered as he looked towards the last team. "And for those standing by the yellow marigold flower patch: Pierre, Jace, Rory, Sheldon, Summer, Sua, and Wyonetta, you guys will be the Yellow Lytsari team!"
A yellow banner similar to the other two was thrown at the group. Wyonetta was about to grab said banner but the banner flatly landed on Sheldon's head instead. The obnoxious nerd carefully took it off of his head with an annoyed look before tossing the banner to Wyonetta, who looked twice as annoyed as himself.
"Okay, but what exactly is a lytsari though? I've never heard of that word before…" Summer asked both Chris and Dustin who were actually the ones who came up with such team names. (Well… mostly Dustin)
"I'm glad you asked!" Dustin proudly smirked, seemingly happy that some are actually finding these team names interesting. "Well, all three team names are just 'knights' in three different languages. Chevaliers is French, Ritter is German, and Lytsari is Ukranian."
"Oh, fascinating." Laverne shrugged, examining her nails in the process before looking back up at both Chris and Dustin with a stare that could pierce through your soul but quickly faded after that as she thought she might have gotten overboard with it.
"So… mind telling us why do the Chevaliers have one more member than both Ritter and Lytsari?" Jessica asked again, still not liking the idea that one team already had an advantage, that being an extra player and yet the game hadn't even officially started. It seemed really unfair from her point of view.
"Two if you count Allan." Gerald added as a matter of factly.
Chris was getting a tad annoyed, no, even more annoyed with the mention of the teen's imaginary friend but decided to heave a sigh. "Let's just all say that twenty-two is not divisible by three so we had to learn things the hard way."
"Sure you did…" Dustin muttered behind his back.
"Yeah." Chris sneered back. "But for now, let's head onto the manor for your first challenge!"
"Already?" Laila groaned from the back. "We have only just got here and I certainly do not want to waste my time doing whatever this challenge is! From what I've known, I thought we were here to enjoy ourselves in this beautiful manor."
"You will." Chris stated, before holding up a finger. "If you will participate in the challenge."
"Ugh."
Chris then led the pack of teens into the main living room of the manor, where he first met Dimetrius… or rather, where he first felt Dimetrius' presence. The teens all looked astonishingly at the wondrous building they were on, lots of details here and there in the interior of the building; it was something to take note of.
Chris cleared his throat, preparing to welcome the teens into the manor in a dramatic manner. "Welcome one and all… to the manor-"
"MANORIA!" Dimetrius' voice echoed throughout the entire large room, scaring the hell out of almost everyone present in the area (save for those who have seen worse).
"-Manoria." Chris corrected himself with a grumble, having tired of hearing the voice already.
"W-who was that just now?" Jeremy shuddered, not liking the atmosphere the place was building up.
"It is I, Dimetrius Ranunculus Knightfall, King of Manoria!"
His presence was so strong that even a gust of wind blew onto the cast, startling them.
"That… that was not something I expected." Tala commented on the phenomena that had just happened.
"According to my calculations, the windows are probably just opened, which explains the wind, hence the word windows itself as from what I have known, windows might have been derived from the word wind." Sheldon stated as a matter of factly, pointing a finger towards three tall windows that were wide open for guests to breathe in the fresh outdoor air. "Or if you consider the direction the wind took, then chances are that it may not have been the windows moving behind this phenomena."
"Yeah, but I thought this place wasn't haunted?" Naka asked the host, though he didn't respond to her anyway.
"Okay, this season is getting creepier than I thought." Pierre gulped to himself, completely forgetting about throwing up due to his car sickness.
Chris sighed to himself for the umpteenth time in the episode. "Campers… or… contestants, the first challenge for this season is to find a key that is hidden inside this manor. There are three keys, and each team will have to find one. The place where you will be sleeping on depends on the key that you find because you will have to try and unlock different rooms for that." He explained. "And try not to run into any rooms that will make Dimetrius mad at you."
Much to his dismay, not everyone was listening.
Smiling, Pandora quickly took a picture of the butterfly that was just sitting on the window sill, not really paying much attention to the explaining Chris had to do.
Laila quickly noticed the flash of her camera and blinked, as this had been going on for quite some time now. She instantly turned to the source of the quick flash and an immediate scowl formed on her face. "Psh, is that a trend on what most commoners do these days? Take random pictures of random things?" She asked with a completely annoyed look. "Well I'll say, the only things that people should take pictures of are things that are more extravagant, not some random creature that you would probably see 24/7!"
The Greek girl simply rolled her brown eyes, not liking the rather lavish girl's behavior just by the first impression. "Well, I don't think people see butterflies 24/7. Maybe it's just that you don't go outside too much to see their beauty."
Despite Laila's rather judgmental exterior, she was surprised that the photographer caught wind of it that early. Nevertheless, she shrugged it off and turned her attention to the first person she saw in the opposite direction (Dustin) who just so happened to be nearby. "You, take my stuff to whichever room I'm assigned to. And don't even try to get your hands grubby before I do so."
Dustin didn't do so in return. "You know what, just try and listen to what Chris is saying because you know I can't do that."
"You what?"
"Alright, kapeesh?" Chris asked the cast, whom he thought they all listened to him at the very least. "There is also the confessional room just over there." He added, pointing towards a rather small room, but it was enough for them at least. The confessional room had a small red armchair and a wooden table in front of it where a camera sits on top of a camera stand. The room was well lit as well, the walls having a sleek black in color with matching floors that seem to have some kind of sparkle in them. Totally a different elegant vibe from what you see in the other rooms.
"Not everyone has listened, button-eyed one." Dimetrius spoke up ominously. A few members of the cast weren't even shocked anymore by the voice's presence.
"Just as I thought." Chris muttered. "But whatever. Your first challenge starts now!"
Startled by the sudden start, the three groups of teens began scattering about for the search of the three keys. Though some were confused since they weren't able to listen to Chris' instructions, they were able to join in for the search anyway.
Tyler (Chevaliers): "Well I have to say that this place looks pretty good… it's just that the fact that there's some kind of voice in here is creepy. I'm not sure what to even feel about my team at this point, there's a guy who keeps talking about someone who probably doesn't exist, and then we also have a real life maid. And everyone else seems just so… I don't know."
Eli (Ritter): "I don't know… the looks of the living room just somehow tempts you to rest up instead of doing tasks… I know I'm a lazy guy, but I have to do what it takes to win so that I can't go out first."
Rory (Lytsari): "Okay so… the team names are really weird to begin with. But I kinda see them as unique. I don't know if anyone else here may be into music… maybe that Jeremy guy, but that's about it. Then again, I didn't have any friends with my band so this is going to be hard."
Pierre (Lytsari): He throws up in a bucket. "Ugh, I hate having motion sickness." He throws up again.
Tala (Chevaliers): "There is lots of green life up in these rooms and that makes me so happy to see that there are plants here that are well taken care of despite how long it has been since this manor was up… probably."
Jessica (Ritter): "My team… looks hard to guide. There's a guy who almost crushed a handicapped guy, not to mention the handicapped guy is in the team too. There's also a… quite lazy guy or at least in my opinion, two girls who look expensive, and that loud small girl… ah, I got this."
Sua (Lytsari): "This is a camera? Oh, hi! And to the Dreamers who have been supporting me and my group, you know that this is your Queen Sua here to try and win the gold! I hope that at least by winning this will help our group Nightmare in case the lawsuit gets worse… wish me luck, Dreamers! Oh and Nikki, thanks for helping me try to speak in English before I join here… it helps a lot."
Sitting on a nearby armchair, Chris took a sigh of relief. "Finally we have at least part one of this episode done… So which room will the three teams be getting? Will Laila stop being a snob? Will Gerald stop talking about this Allan? And who will be the first person eliminated? Find out on…"
He began to do some sort of dramatic hand gesture, signaling the end of the segment.
"Total Drama Knightfall!"
Blue Chevaliers: Foster, Tyler, Gerald, Jeremy, Tala, Pandora, Maelle, Naka
Red Ritter: Eli, Fridge, Hector, Aditi, Laila, Laverne, Jessica
Yellow Lytsari: Pierre, Jace, Rory, Sheldon, Summer, Sua, Wyonetta

Next time, we'll have the first challenge and some other interactions! But either way, I hope you guys like this so far, haha.
