Bonus Episode: Mirror Mirror, Crooked Door

The rays of the sunset light had made its way into the Chevalier's windows as the team chilled off in the room for the afternoon. Nothing much has been going on from the past couple of hours ever since they had claimed the room, but a much awaited rest was needed after all the hustle and bustle that happened in the morning.

On one side of the room, Gerald was resting on his bed, looking up on the ceiling while murmuring something on thin air as if he was talking to someone.

"What made you think that that black door was the right one, Allan?" Gerald questioned.

No response was heard.

"Oh, I get what you mean. Considering that-"

"Who are you talking to?" Maelle questioned him nearby, donning a completely confused expression on her face.

"I was talking to Allan?" Gerald answered as if he was asking a question back at her. Considering that some of the others haven't 'seen' Allan during the past few hours of staying in Manoria, the only case scenario that popped up in his mind was the lack of belief they had in him. Maybe he was the only one who could see him...

Maelle could only give him a skeptical look. It had been the second time she asked about Allan and she still couldn't comprehend the answers Gerald was giving her. Maybe it was all in his imagination...

"You don't see him? He's right next to me, blue shirt with a poke ball on it, blond hair with pink streaks, black jeans. He's pretty hard to miss." the brown haired boy could only ask.

"No?"

A slight frown formed on Gerald's face as soon as he heard the response of the maid. How could they not see him, he thought. It's so obvious... to him at least. "But he's just right here!" He countered.

Maelle quickly held up a finger by her lips to signal him to be quiet. "The others are going to be completely skeptical of you. None of us here can see this... 'Allan.' He is only just in your head."

The last few words he heard from her made him glare a little. Before he could even say a word to contradict, Foster caught wind of what was happening and approached the two. "What's going on?"

"Foster!" Gerald looked at the boy in front of him. "Please tell me you can see Allan."

"Allan- who?" The survivalist was at a loss of words for a moment. Gerald genuinely looked like a rather less-serious version of himself, mostly due to the almost identical physical appearance the two shared: red and black shirt, brown hair, pale skin... it seemed more or less creepy to his eyes but he let it slide for now. "Allan? I don't see anyone else in here besides us eight, though?"

"You guys don't get me." Gerald sighed, standing up from his be and turning to leave. Maelle even shrugged and left him as she felt like there was nothing she could do besides making him mad.

Foster looked at the tall mirror that was leaning on the wall just right next to Gerald's bed as he watched him leave. Gerald left the room alright, but the moment he squinted his eyes towards the mirror, something was off...

A blond boy with pink streaks on his hair patted Gerald's shoulder to calm him down. He then followed Gerald outside the room. The survivalist quickly looked away from the mirror to see if he could really see Allan with him, but he could only see Gerald leave the room and not with a boy in a blue poke ball shirt.

His eyes widened.

The rest of the team inside the room didn't really seem to mind what was happening with the small group. What caught Pandora's eye though was the fact that someone was missing.

"Wasn't Tyler here just a moment ago?" she asked Tala who was just next to her. To her dismay, Tala wasn't even focusing on the team, rather she was looking on the window. "Tala?"

"Oh, sorry." Tala chuckled. Normally, maybe Pandora would've been the one being distracted but now it was the other girl's case. "I was just thinking of... something. What were you saying again?"

Pandora merely just shrugged. "Maybe he'll be fine."

"Maybe he went to explore the manor a little bit?" Naka asked as she was just fixing her stuff on her bed to get things settled.

"I'll go look for him." Jeremy offered. "He could get lost maybe, but I doubt he could go very far away from here."

Naka looked at how everyone was acting. "Why are you all guys acting as if this place is scary?"

"Well if I'm not wrong, this place is owned by someone we can't see. AKA Dimetrius..." Tala answered Naka, however even the Shaman girl wasn't buying it.

"I don't get it. Well what do you guys think, this place is haunted?"

Pandora began to put two and two together on her head but wasn't sure if she would get the correct answer. "Maybe Dimetrius is dead? Considering how old this place looks, of course."

"Dimetrius is dead... ha! No way... I think he is just some silly sound effect thing. Or someone in the staff is doing a voice over to creep you guys out. Whatever it is though, I don't believe that the place is haunted." Naka dismissed the topic.

In the hallways just outside of the room, Jeremy was found outside presumably looking for Tyler. The thought that he couldn't have gone very far lingered his mind and he stuck to it.

"Tyler?" Jeremy hollered out for his teammate, not too worried about his absence as he doubt something bad would happen to them that early into the show.

Taking a left turn on to the hallway, he found the dark and creepy door Tyler had been looking out for earlier, and there he was, peering his eyes over a small creak on the door.

"Oh hey-" Tyler almost jumped in shock as he felt Jeremy's gaze land on him. "I was just checking on this door."

"You've been checking up on this door a lot, even during the challenge." Jeremy sighed, as not even the musical nerd was having it. "What is even in that door, anyway?"

"Something bad maybe," Tyler answered as his hand attempted to open the doorknob but with no luck. "Explains why it's locked."

"Well what if there's a creature in there?" Jeremy asked in a slightly panicky tone. "What will you do with it?"

It took quite a while for Tyler to answer the question as he had no other answers behind his thoughts. "Shoot it down maybe, I'm a hunting enthusiast after all."

"I don't know, Tyler. Let's just stay away from it." Jeremy said as gestured Tyler to back away from the door.

So hey everyone, Obsidian here with somewhat of a filler team focused mini-chapter... ish. I was actually thinking to do these team-centered bonus chapters after every episode because looking at the drafts and plans I have for this season and the rest of the seasons that will follow it, I have a lot that I want to get down with here lol. I didn't actually chose the Chevaliers to have the first team chapter, the gang in the discord server did a voting lol.

Next episode is still in the works but I kinda slowed down my writing a bit due to school. The next team chapter will happen after the next episode and it will most likely be focused on Team Ritter. I'm not sure when will I have the next episode up as I thought it would be in September but it's October now lol. Anyway, thanks for being patient! I also have a rough outline of what will the rest of the series be on my profile if anyone wants to check it out!
