Odes To Manoria

III. They See Me Walk 'Round The Block

Pierre couldn't forget that feeling.

That feeling of that girl's lips pressed against his.

Over and over and over again.

That feeling felt so surreal to him. It felt like she knew what was going on within him, even though she didn't.

Sure Naka's lips weren't the first he's touched- but something in the back of his head tells him that he hopes that they would be the last.

Sure it may seemed like he was bound to use her at some point… which he was supposed to… but out of all the girls he's had a relationship with, she was the only one who never see him as an object. She was the only one whom he actually felt comfortable with.

Perhaps there was something more to their one of their last moments together… besides Naka opening up to him about being this and that during the challenge.

Then again, everything went by so quickly.

Too quickly.

And-

"Hey, hurry and pack up!" Wyonetta snapped right in front of the blond boy's face.

The heartthrob jerked his head towards his team. Everyone was in a rush, all because of… whatever it was that happened back at the palace.

Jace approached the lost-looking boy with worry in his eyes.

"Hey Pierre, you okay?"

"...Y-yeah, I'm good." Pierre breathed, answering the writer's question while trying his best to come back into his senses.

He looked over to the rest of the Lytsari team. Sheldon was throwing some stuff into his bag (half-forgetting that he was throwing some of Rory's shirts into his bag in the process) as fast as he could like he was working in some sort of packaging center. Maelle was quickly and neatly organizing her things before going back to her sleeping bag. Rory was busy trying to stuff more and more of his things in his bag, completely ignoring the fact that Sheldon accidentally had some of his shirts on the nerd's backpack. Summer was already done packing, and was holding her bags close to her with an anxious expression plastered on her pale face. Wyonetta had just also finished packing and was (im)patiently waiting for the rest of her team just by the attic's exit.

"Hurry the hell up, slowpokes!" Wyonetta hollered. "Who knows when will that ghost will get here?" She looked over to Pierre who was the only one not packing. "Especially you, you know! How can you even day dream at a time like this?"

Maelle gave Pierre a rather disappointing look as if she knew what was going on Pierre's mind. The rest of the team however looked confused.

"What's going in with you and Pierre?" Rory suddenly asked as he hung a backpack on his shoulder. "Did you two like… kiss and break up or something- ow!" He yelped as Summer lightly elbowed his stomach.

"More like… I saw what he did. Well, I've heard from the other team that she left though, so there is nothing we can do about it." Maelle shrugged. "But there's no time to discuss that now. It's not important. Chop chop!" She told everyone before exiting the room, followed by Wyonetta.

Sheldon looked at the two girls who just left, then at Pierre. "I do not know who to side with nor do I know what is going on. But to respect it, I will not intervene. Toodles!" The nerd saluted before rushing off the room with Wyonetta and Maelle.

"Wait, she's gone?" Pierre blinked twice, still processing what Maelle had said.

"Who's gone?" Summer asked.

When Pierre did not give her a response, the 80s girl just stepped back.

"Hey bro, we'll stay here and help-"

Pierre cut off Rory's sentence. "You guys can go on ahead. I'll be right there."

Neither Summer, Rory, or Jace moved an inch.

"Please leave me for a bit. I still need to process what's going on." the blond pleaded.

Rory nodded his head in understanding. "Sure bro. We'll wait for you downstairs."

"Yeah," Summer added, giving him a smile before following Rory out of the attic.

"I… don't get it." Pierre said to himself, completely forgetting the fact that Jace was still in the room. "Why did she had to leave so soon… I don't get it… I thought I don't have feelings for her but for some reason I think otherwise… God,why is this so confusing-"

He buried his face on his hands as he began to cry.

"Hey," Jace rushed over to him and pulled him in for a brotherly hug, the writer clearly confused at his feelings and actions. "I don't know what's going on in your mind right now, but I'm sorry. I wish there is something I could do."

And they stayed like that for a while. With Jace still not knowing what was going on with him, if he should know.
