"Yes, this will do quite nicely," Sumia smiled as she sat her pegasus down. She was followed by the sounds of two more pegasi descending along with her. She really smiled at the sight. She did love seeing her girls geared up as pegasus knights. Even if Lucina preferred to fight with her feet on the ground and this was just for the trip, she loved it nonetheless.

"I do not see why you wear these into battle," Lucina was not quite as thrilled with the short skirts, "When flying no less."

"Oh come on," Her sister rebutted, "It's based on a long tradition of pegasus knights. It's in our blood you know. We're descended from a legendary pegasus knight."

"What does that have to do with worrying about my skirt length?"

"Hmm," Sumia smirked, "I seem to remember you suggesting a very, very lacy outfit for me on a shopping trip."

"I, er," Lucina blushed and looked away, "Well, you weren't supposed to wear it to battle, and I didn't notice it was that bad until you pointed it out."

Sumia giggled and Cynthia struck a triumphant pose at her sister's rare defeat. After the mirth passed, Sumia began to unpack for their mother/daughter picnic. She had been looking forward to this all week, and she was determined to have a good time.

"This looks delicious, Mother," Lucina was more than eager to move on from her embarrassment and focus on the happy memories they were here to make.

"Yeah. A heroine, queen, and amazing cook. What can't our mother do?"

"Oh please, you'll make me blush."

"Hmm, not that I'm complaining, but this request was rather sudden though. Is there a particular reason you asked us out here?"

"Well, I was hoping to get to spend some quality time with you both. We haven't had much girl time and I wanted to get it in before you both married off."

"I don't think you have to worry about that anytime soon," Lucina reassured her mother, "I have no immediate plans, and I don't think Cynthia does either."

At the latter comment, Sumia gave a pointed look at a very guilty looking Cynthia. Under her mother's gaze, she quickly broke, "Yeeeeah, about that. You see, Gerome and I may or may not be sorta kinda engaged."

"What?" Lucina looked to her mother for confirmation, "Is this true? Why wasn't I told?"

"I told him not to tell you," Cynthia winced, "Sorry! I just know how you are. You tend to worry. Plus you're all duty this and duty that. I was going to tell you after the fighting was over."

"My own sister keeping secrets," Lucina huffed, "Is there anything else you've been hiding?"

"You're not funny," Cynthia stated with a deadpan expression.

"Cynthia!" Sumia scolded.

"I know you've been trying to joke more, but you're really, really bad at it."

"I-well, Robin laughs at my jokes."

"I'm sure he does," Cynthia patted her on the head.

"He does!" Lucina swatted the hand away, "But, feelings of betrayal aside, I'm happy for you both. Though I may need to have words with a certain wyvern rider."

"Go easy on him. He wanted to tell you."

"Phew, was worried I might have a fight on my hands," Sumia smiled in relief.

"Oh, it'll take quite a bit to get us to seriously fight," Cynthia reassured, "I don't think we've had a serious fight since the frame incident."

"The 'frame incident?'" Their mother tilted her head.

"Oh, um, don't worry about that."

"Cynthia destroyed the frame with a portrait of you and father inside. She nearly destroyed the painting," Lucina gave her sister a sidelong glance, "It was a memento we had of the both of you so I was naturally upset."

"Didn't talk to me for almost a week. That was one of the worst weeks of my life, and that's saying something."

"Well, I'm glad you made up. It's nice to see you're so close despite your differences."

"She's a bit rough around the edges, but I wouldn't trade Luci for any other big sister in the world!" Cynthia beamed.

"Thanks. I think." The other two laughed at her expense, but the mood was light for the rest of the trip. They did truly enjoy this rare bit of time together, but it could not last forever. Eventually they had to pack up and prepare to head back. However, they did decide to take a more scenic path back home.

Along the way, they noticed something on the ground. Risen. A lot of them. They were still about a mile or two from the nearest village, but a group this large could do serious damage if they made their way there. With unanimous consent, the girls changed course to attack.

As they got closer, they were able to tell that the Risen seemed to be chasing someone. This spurred them to speed up their approach as they got ready to defend this target. Lucina jumped from her mount while the other two remained in the air allowing them to play to the strengths.

"How are you holding up?" Lucina asked without taking her eyes off the horde.

"Um, alright. I appreciate the help. I didn't want to try fighting all these things on my own."

"If you can fight, then get ready. We should be able to handle this, but be prepared if any of them get through."

"Got it."

While Lucina functioned as the vanguard wiping out Risen left and right, Sumia and Cynthia provided support making sure she was not overwhelmed. However, along the way, the two did make note of the mysterious girl's fighting stance with her sword. It was extremely familiar. Enough to make the two share several looks. Not a few of which involved a devious smirk from Cynthia.

"I think that's the last of them," Lucina commented as she carefully sheathed Falchion with one last scan of her surroundings.

"Thanks for the help," The girl beamed at her excitedly. It was at this point that Lucina noticed the cloak she wore. Did this girl have some connection to Robin's past?

"Do you live in the nearby village?"

"Huh? No, I actually just woke up in the middle of nowhere and those things started chasing me." She looked around a bit, "Um, I actually don't know where I am now that I think about. Er, can't seem to remember much actually."

"Nothing at all?"

"I remember my name. I'm Morgan!" She seemed pretty chipper despite the supposed memory loss, "And I remember my dad. If I could just reach him…"

"Do you know where he is?"

"I think he lived in the castle. His name's Robin."

"R-Robin?"

"Yeah! You know him?"

"You could say that."

"That's great! A bit convenient, but who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth. You'll take me to see him, right?"

Before Lucina could respond, Sumia stepped in, "Certainly. We'd be happy too."

"Cool! I like you. You seem nice. Like a grandma."

Sumia giggled, but refused to elaborate as to why.

After they made camp for the night due to their delay and new companion, Sumia found Lucina sitting next to the fire thinking intently. It was not hard to figure out why. Deciding to see to her motherly duties, Sumia sat next to her eldest on the log.

"Unpleasant thoughts?"

"I'm just trying to figure out what to make of Morgan," She confessed, "I am fairly confident that Robin had no children in our world. If nothing else, she did not come with us."

"Perhaps she came from another world."

"I had considered that as well, but even then, I'm not sure who her mother might be. I don't really see much of a resemblance to the women in our band."

Sumia smiled. Really, the royal blue hair was a dead ringer. Sure, she took after her father, but she saw her daughter in there too, "Hmm, well, I'm sure you'll find out who it is soon enough. In the meantime, perhaps you should try talking to her more."

"You're right. I should try to gather more intelligence. I need to make sure she isn't faking."

"Now you remind me of Frederick when Robin was new. Though, much like then, I don't think she's faking."

"I wish I could be so sure."

"Give it time," She patted Lucina on the shoulder, "I'm sure you two will get along great."

They made it back to the castle the next day. After dismounting, Lucina watched Sumia try to calm Morgan down with assurances they would find her father soon. That was until said man walked up to Lucina. He seemed a bit worried though he hid it well.

"Robin, what are you doing here?"

"You were supposed to be back yesterday. I, er, wanted to make sure you were safe. All of you of course."

"R-right," Lucina blushed while Robin also blushed and looked away upon realizing how short that skirt was. However, he did not have long to contemplate it before he was body slammed by an energetic bluenette.

"Father!"

"Excuse me?"

Lucina smiled as Morgan explained herself to Robin. Despite her suspicions, she was happy for them. Though she still wanted to know who the mother was, and only partly because she was jealous.

A/N: Apparently there was an issue last chapter, so see it for a Morgan question.

I was thinking of replaying Awakening, but I've also considered doing something to spice it up. Not sure what though.

New FE game is something. Need to know more. Hopefully they don't mess it up, and hopefully there are more than just those 12. Really hope Lucina isn't forced masked ingame. Marth was apparently in different clothes so there's hope. And where is Chrom?
