OH HOLY EFFING GOODNESS! I UPDATED!

Gah, sorry for the delays you guys. I've been catching up on artwork, game designing, and finally just some drama going on in real life. So how do I make it up to you guys? Well...

1. I did do some new Puffy Art.

2. It's... kinda 'mature' rated. The link is on my profile page, but remember, you've been warned.

3. I started plans of a comic based off of this fanfic, starting with 'Fall of a Rock Goddess'. So yeh kids, Kyo's been busy.

So if you remember, Yumi pulled a KOF on a whole bunch of 'Baddie Laddies' and basically passed out. Seems like she's out of the worst part of it, yes? Well...

It gets interesting when Ami decides to step in and do things herself... you don't wanna hear me talk. Enjoy. R&R and flamers get whacked, y'know?

Chapter 4 – Romance of the Three Kingdoms?

'A-Ami! Where are you! Uh… huh?'

Her eyes opened up to find herself inside a somewhat decent apartment living room, covers on her and all. It would seem Yumi was talking in her sleep as the last thing she remembered was passing out in the middle of a street, so she was wondering why exactly she is in someone's apartment. That is, until she turned to see Takeru sitting there, watching her to make sure that nothing serious happened to her. 'About time you finally come to.'

'Takeru… what the hell is going on?' Yumi rudely wanted to know, just so she wouldn't have an excuse to wig out. She then saw down at herself, and noticed she is wearing clean clothes and is a tad cleaned up. 'H-Hey! Takeru, I swear, if you saw or TRIED anything – '

Takeru then lifted a hand, signaling her to stop right there. 'Relax, ok? I didn't do anything. Just calm down. I simply brought you here and changed your clothes, just so you can get out of those blood-ridden ones. Just exactly what were you doing last night in the alleyway?' Yumi then sat right there as she held her forehead, trying to remember exactly what she was doing last night. 'I remember going for a walk, trying to get to your place… it was kinda fuzzy afterwards, but – ' And then she froze and remembered seeing a whole pile of dead bodies, nicely covered in blood no doubt like a stack of pastries doused in red-syrup. (Yum.) 'OH GOD.' Yumi finally spoke again. 'I freakin' freed the beast all over those people…' Takeru just patted her shoulder and looked at a wall, just zoning out a bit. 'Hm. Those were that thug's boys, huh? The same one that allowed me to meet you for the first time, huh? Sigh. Guess he didn't learn back then…' He then looks back to Yumi. 'As for you, you need to learn to keep your attitude in check. Who knows, perhaps your own inner demons can just come out and overtake your body one day…' He was joking for the most part, but Yumi took this seriously.

'Yeah, uh, Takeru? Funny you should mention that. You see…'

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even during the daytime, the bad streets of Tokyo seemed like eternal darkness to Ami. 'Eh, I was always told never to go to this part of town as a kid.' She said to herself as she walked through the area, in search for Yumi. 'But somehow… something in the back of my mind is just RINGING that Yumi has been through here… hm?' In the corner of Ami's eye were a few guys, and they seem wrapped up in bandages and what not. 'E-Excuse me!' The pink-haired girl walked up to them and asked without thinking. 'H-Have you seen a girl around here? Looks a BIT like me, but had purple hair. I think she was wearing a black shirt last I saw her – '

'Th-THAT MONSTER! GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!'

'RUN! She's friends with that crazy insane Osakan girl!'

'NO MORE! NO MORE! I'll be good!'

All the injured guys just ran off, crying for their mothers and one of them tripped, falling flat on his face, just to get up and run off again. Ami just closed her eyes and sighed.

'Yumi's been here.' She just started walking on forward leaving the area, looking around at the amount of damage done to the places, even the bloodstained streets. 'Maybe… Yumi WAS right. Should I even be looking for her? She'll probably just flip out again and try to attack me. Well, it wouldn't matter, because as I said - I'd take a bullet for her if it meant knocking off stress from her. I'd hope she realizes this by now…' She stops to wipe a tear from her left eye. 'I miss you, Yumi…' She then looks at a black object on the ground, somewhat spiky. It looks like Yumi's bracelet. 'I mean - I can't let Yumi hurt anyone else. She wouldn't hurt me… would she?' She put the bracelet in her pocket and kept going, looking for her girlfriend.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Sorry Yumi, but I CAN'T let you out there.'

'For God's sake, Takeru! I can take care of myself!'

'THAT… is what I'm afraid of. I don't want you hurting people, ESPECIALLY, innocent people…'

'Takeru, let's get one thing straight! YOU AREN'T THE BOSS OF ME, GOT IT!'

Takeru and Yumi were having a little truffle about Yumi's condition, and why she shouldn't be out by herself. It seems after Yumi explained as to why she's been acting the way she did, even Takeru himself was afraid of what was going to happen to her. 'I don't care Yumi – you are a ticking time-bomb ready to explode! Eventually, this 'inner demon' of yours is going to make you go over the edge and hurt something more valuable then anything we've found – '

'I don't CARE about myself…'

'I'm referring to your friends, specifically, that pink haired girl you were talking about.'

Right there, Yumi stopped to think about the hell Ami went through because of her and her rage. She thinks about all the crap Ami had to put up with because of Yumi. Her personal rage, her 'true feelings towards Ami', Midori Greenfield, and now this 'Sakura' person. She sighed and then looked away from Takeru, looking to the ground. 'The reason I'm here is so I WOULDN'T hurt her. I can take it out on myself.'

'Yourself? May I remind you, I found you out there, which looked like a hurricane went through there? It seems "Tsunami Yumi" came through with a red tide. Luckily, it was with a bunch of people that had it coming for the longest time, but next time might not be the same story! So stop being so damn ignorant, girl.' Takeru seriously wanted to see Yumi get better, even if he had to be a little mean about it. Then again, he was always like that for as long as Yumi knew him.

Yumi just simply saw him in silence. Without a word, she just turned around and walked towards Takeru's window, opening it. 'W-W-What the hell do you think you're doing!' Yumi started climbing out of it and stopped to look back at him. 'I get the point, man. I'm doing you and me a favor and getting the hell away from ANYONE I remotely give a damn about.' Saying that, she jumps out of the window and lands perfectly on her fours with the greatest of ease and runs off.

'Jesus Christ…' Takeru just stands there staring out the window. 'Boss was right; women are nothing but trouble…' Saying that, Takeru takes cue and does the same, going after Yumi.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Running for a bit, Yumi finds herself stopping in front of a convenience store, resting for air. She has been running for quite a lot, and finally decided to rest a bit. 'D-Damn it all… how do people do it? Balance between their personal life, their own problems and trying to make things better.' After regaining herself she decided to walk off. That is, until Yumi met eyes with someone. This unparticular someone was none other than Ami. Other people walked by, not paying attention, but Yumi and Ami were standing there in the small crowd of busy people, just staring at each other, as if they were telling their current troubles and feelings through their eyes. Finally, Ami started walking towards Yumi.

'Yumi, please, come back with me. I can get you help.'

Yumi just slowly backed away. 'What's with you people! I said stand back! Get lost! I'm warning you, I'm a loose freakin' cannon!'

Ami kept walking towards her, with her arms opened. 'Yumi, please, I understand you're going through a lot. I figured we've reach the point in our relationship where we can help each other out and – '

And right there, Yumi turned the other direction and ran away. 'Yumi! Wait!' She started chasing after her. As Yumi kept running, it caught the eye of Takeru who was searching for her on the other side of the street. 'Hey, there she is!' He started running for her as well, determined to keep up with her.

Of course, to no avail. Yumi was clever enough to blend in with a huge crowd to lose them both. Takeru stopped to catch his breath. 'Damn it! She's fast.'

'Yeh, it makes it tough to keep up with her… hm?' The second sentence belonged to Ami who looked at the person she was finishing the sentence for. It turned out to be Takeru. Takeru recognized her as well. 'Hey, you're that pink-haired girl with Yumi.' Ami just looked at him with narrow eyes. 'Oh lovely, and you're that ruffian she grew up, huh?' Takeru growled a bit. 'Listen, I don't care what you think of me, and I SURE as hell don't care to start knowing now, but I can agree on one thing – Yumi's going loco and we both need her back where we can help her.'

Ami stopped to think about this a bit. 'Hm, yeah I guess you're right. What exactly happened last night?'

Takeru let her in on the little street fight that happened. He also let her know that Yumi got her up to date on everything that's been going on with between them. Ami blushed.

'Please, don't get that around. I know how much Yumi is ashamed of us…' She sadly sighed after this. Takeru just chuckled a bit. 'Consider yourself even lucky. She is so hard to hook up with. But from what I know she asked YOU out? Man… I wish I had that luck…' Ami smiled a bit.

'Anyways, I'm going to continue searching for her this way. If you find her, please give me the message, alright?' As he said this, Ami didn't want to trust him. But hey, if Yumi trusted him, then he must not be a bad guy right? Ami nodded and headed the other direction. She decided to sit at an outdoor café, to rest and think about things. 'I know, I still feel I shouldn't, but for now I have to trust him, until he finds Yumi at least.'

'Sorry, you said you were looking for Yumi? Excuse me, waiter. Two lattes, please. ' Ami overheard a voice of a woman. She turns around to see this woman, who had raven hair, her bangs covered her eyes and nose, and she wore dark clothing. The woman then helped herself to a seat with Ami. 'That makes the two of us. I've been looking for her ever since she got back.' Ami just looked at her, raising a brow. 'Why, who are you?' She smirked at her and realized who she was. 'I'm an old friend of Yumi's. You know, from back in the day? Call me Sakura.' Ami nodded. 'Well, I'm not sure… I'd be better off if –'

Just then, the waiter brought them what she ordered and handed one to Ami. 'Say! What if you and I teamed up to look for Yumi together? Two heads are better than one, don't you agree?' Sakura slightly smiled at the pink-haired girl as she thought about this, putting sugar in her drink. 'Well, since you are a friend of Yumi's, like a few other people then, I guess the more the merrier.' She smiled a bit. 'Need sugar?' Sakura offered. 'Oh, yes please!' Sakura decided to season her drink as well.

'So Sakura…' Ami sips a bit from her drink. 'Where do you think Yumi would be at? You've known her longer than me obviously.' Sakura took a sip from her's as well. 'Well, to be honest… I'm not too sure. See, if this were Osaka, I'd know exactly where'd she would be…' Ami looked down at her cup a bit. 'Oh, so I see you guys go back THAT far, huh?' Ami tried to hide a bit of jealousy in that sentence. 'Eh, she and I have gotten to know each other.' Ami just growled a bit as she drank some more from her cup. Sakura just smiled.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The day grew a tint of orange as the time flew by. Sakura and Ami were just walking down the street, still with zero clues as to where Yumi could've ran off to. 'So… how did you meet Yumi?' Sakura, not looking at her, kept walking. 'Yumi had an inferiority complex throughout her high school years. I got sick of her crap and decided to "teach her reality."' Ami then stopped in her track and looked to her in awe. 'Her… teenage years. Wait… Yumi's been complaining about some woman that's been making her go crazy. Then, you…' Ami got pretty flamed-up from there. 'You're the damn reason she's been like this!'

Sakura stopped and smirked. She then laughed out loud. 'Very good. And you found out, right before your bedtime, sweetie.'

'My bedti - ' As Ami wanted to finish this, it seemed like she couldn't. What she did do, however, as blackout and fall to the floor with a heavy 'thud'.

Sakura simply smiled and nodded. 'That "sugar" I put in your drink was pretty potent. But I didn't think it'd take this long for it to hit you in full effect. But oh well. I'm going to keep my word – thanks to you, I will find Yumi.' She picked her up and walked into a dark alley, finding a discreet shortcut to her vehicle.

'So, that's her, huh?' Across the street sitting on his bike was Takeru, of which it seems he's been watching the whole time. 'Dammit, this whole thing is starting to piss me off. Granted I could've done something, but the less that woman knows on how much I know, the better chance that Ami MIGHT be ok…' With that said, he hopped on his bike and started his engine up. 'I think I might have one other idea where Yumi could be at. Maybe she'll follow me if she knew what is at stake here now…'

Takeru then drove off, heading for the city park.
