"They WHAT!" Tony bellowed, his fists clenching, he slammed his glass on the table. Remus froze completely, a fury burning like a wild fire through his body.

"Dad? Uncle Remus?" A quiet and frightened voice turned both of their heads to the top of the stairs. There was a pyjama clad fidgeting little girl, with worry in her eyes.

Tony took a deep breath, pushing his anger down and smiled at her brightly.

"Hey Munchkin," he said cheerfully, walking towards the stairs invitingly. "Sorry, did I wake you? Why don't we go back upstairs and read a book? You want a hot chocolate?"

"I already brushed my teeth,"

"Hmm, goody two shoes, ok then come on lets get back to sleep." He said taking the stairs two at a time, making the little girl laugh and relax a little.

Half an hour later Tony came downstairs to see Remus hadn't moved at all, although his face frightened the young man. He could almost see the dangerous wolf on the human features. The fury of what they had discovered.

Mustering some courage, he clamped his hand onto Remus's shoulder.

"We'll get um. They've opened themselves up for a worldwide spectacle. Everyone is going to know what they did to her."

The next morning, thankful that Remus had showed him the potion to cure hangovers, he chugged it down. He asked Happy to watch Mim while he and Pepper went to the lawyers to ruin the Durlseys.

They set everything up, and assured the young billionaire that they would make the process swift and painful. The two left, getting into the car Tony had brought.

"Are you going to tell her what's happening?" Pepper asked him as she put her seatbelt on.

"No, I don't see the point of traumatising her more. If they are still in prison or if she wants to confront them when she is older. I will take her myself. But right now, she is four and doesn't need it." he gripped the stirring wheel a little tighter than he needed to as they made their way onto the highway back to the house.

"I'm going to try and break the cycle that my dad had with me, make sure she knows I love her and think she is brilliant no matter what. I've been reading some books, some great, some not,"

"Sounds good Tony, and you know that you have all of us." She smiled touching his arm.

"Gunna need some help."

"We will all help you. We all love her Tony. We loved how she has changed you."

He looked at Pepper again… in a way he hadn't really looked at her before, the small lines of joy in her smile, the way her eyebrows curved as she was smiling at him. It made him feel a warmth he hadn't really felt before. He turned his eyes back to the road, trying to ignore the growing feeling that the woman beside him was giving him.

"Honey, sit next to me for a minute," he smiled patting the space beside him. Mim ran over jumping onto his lap, cuddling in.

"Easy Cuddle Monkey," he said chuckled tightening his hold on her and kissing the top of her head.

"I have something really important to tell you ok?"

She nodded.

"Daddy is a very famous man, when we aren't in the house, there will be people taking lots of pictures, and they will be everywhere. They say nasty things sometimes that are not true. Or they make the truth sound bad, but you just have to ignore them ok, Munchkin?"

Mim thought about what her Dad was telling her, Tony thought she looked adorable she frowned and pouted.

"They bully you?" she said scowling up at her Dad.

"No, they just do their job, but they may follow you sometimes, so I want you to know about it ok."

"Ok,"

"I'm sorry Mim," he said kissing the top of her head.

"S'not your fault." She muttered snuggling in closer. The two sat together for a long moment, before Tony pulled away and kissed the small girl on the forehead.

"Right, lets sit and watch a movie, what snack do you want?"

"Um, I dunno,"

"We could have some fruit, or a smoothie, or some hummus and carrots. Super yummy and super healthy."

"Uh, smoothies please," she said quietly.

"Coming right up, pick a movie form the drawer and I will get the snacks."

The next day Tony left the little girl in their home with Remus as he went out to a press conference that JARVIS had arranged so he could talk about Mim.

He stood up on the podium and looked out at the flashing cameras and the roar of noise, most of which was his on name muddled in with questions.

"All right I am going to keep this brief, in doing so probably answering most of your questions. Yes, I have a child, Mim's mother died three years ago and she has been taken into my care. I adore that little girl. She has had a rocky start to life, and lets face it being my daughter isn't going to help."

There were a few chuckles in the crowd.

"However, we do not need the press hounding her, or me when I am with her. Uh brown bob and bangs with red glasses go"

"Is she taking your name?" she asked.

"We hyphened it." he said. "You. Purple tie."

"How did her mother die? And does Mim have any siblings that are not yours?"

"Mim's mother was a respectable woman who fought for her life in battle." Tony said trying to keep it vague. "I will not be going into the full details out of respect for her mother. She should be honoured. Her friends are telling me about her, and who she was. I have so much respect for her, and so should you. As for the Dursley family, we will be pressing charges for neglect. I will not go into details at the present time, but my lawyers will be making a visit to the Dursley household. That is all I will be answering for today. I would like to spend some time with my daughter."

"Stark!"

"Stark!"
"Tony!"

"Mr Stark!"

The voices called but he merely ignored them walking into the back room away from the reporters.

The next day, he was watching Mim play with one of the dolls that they had gotten her. Remus was out of the house, trying to find a good spot for when the moon was full so until a little later it was just the two of them.

"Let's go for a swim," he suggested, taking her small hand in his.

"Ok," she said, he could hear the nerves she tried to hide. Glad he invested in the armbands, he helped her into her costume, before going to put on his own. When he emerged downstairs, she went to walk out the door.

"Where are you going munchkin?" he said.

"I thought –"

"The pool is on the third floor, in the cliff."

"You have a pool in your house," she asked in awe.

"We have a pool in our house, come on kiddo," he said scooping her up and throwing her over his shoulder, squealing she laughed and attempted to wriggle from her father's arms.

They got to the pool and he put her down allowing her to take in the view.

The marble pool was cut into the surface of the cliff which you could see through the clear water full.

"Wow," she gasped.

"I'll go in first," he said waddling in from the marble steps. When he reached waist height he stopped and turned around, looking at his daughters terrified face. "I'm right here, and you have your armbands you'll be completely safe."

The little brunette eyed the water like it was a growling dog. cautiously she stuck a foot in the warm water. Mim looked at her father who smiled encouragingly opening up is arms.

Taking a deep breath Mim did a little jump to him, he caught her around the waist. "There you see, it's all right."

She giggled at him, clinging to his forearms he gently pulled her along.

"Kick your legs, I'm not doing all the work."

She giggled again, but did as she was told. "Good we'll make a gold medallist out of you yet."

"You're silly," she said beaming at him, he felt his heart melt looking into her eyes.

"I'm silly?" pretending to be offended, he grabbed her around the middle, she shrieked with laugher.

"Mr Stark." Pepper said looking at the two fondly.

"Pepper," he said. "Can you believe that my little Cuddle Monkey thinks I'm silly." He said mock outraged.

"I told you she was smarter than you," she said making Mim laugh again.

"Mim, go give Miss Potts a hug," Tony stage whispered.

"I'll watch a movie with you later," Pepper said. "And give you a big cuddle when you are dry."

"Can we watch the Lion King?" she asked excited.

"Of course,"

"Sorry Daddy," she said giving him a big cuddle.

"Damn my girls are ganging up on me." he said, both girl laughed at him.

They washed her hair, and dried her off, and asks JARVIS to order pizza. Pepper braided the little girl's hair, Tony watched as she made a braid from the top of her head all the way down.

"So when it comes out, it will be very wavy." Pepper told her.

"Like a mermaid?"

"Exactly," she said smirking at Tony.

It didn't take too long for the pizza to arrive, by which point Remus had returned. The group watched two movies before Mim's head fell onto Pepper's shoulder, as she fell into a deep sleep.

Tony scoops up his daughter making sure her head was rested on his shoulder. Her arms and legs flopped down as he held her back and bum, keeping her vertical as he gently headed upstairs.

Over the next few days Remus was barely at the house, looking for a good place for him to turn, as the moon grew fuller and fuller. While he was gone, Mim and Tony began to watch various cartoons. Some more enjoyable than others especially for the young father. They had just finished watching both of their favourite to make dinner, when they heard the door open. Both smiled as Remus Lupin came into view.

"Uncle Remus look, I'm a water bender!" she cried excitedly, moving her arms graceful through the air.

"Very good," Remus said not having a clue what she was talking about.

"Yeah, well I'm a fire bender I am going to capture you," Tony said pushing his right arm and leg out in front of him his fist enclosed. Laughing and shrieking Mim ran, Tony chased her.

Remus watched the scene before him in amusement and utter confusion, until Tony grabbed the little girl pulling them both onto the sofa laughing.

"Ok, why don't you go wash your hands for dinner, while I put it all on plates. Deal?" he said to the little girl. She nodded and bounced up the stairs.

Tony grinned at his friend, who looked at him with a raised brow.

"Fire bender?" he said. Tony laughed.

"It's a cartoon she watches. For all ages, great thing. You'll have to watch it too"

"You really are just like James in some ways"? Remus laughed.

"Did you find a good spot?"

Remus nodded; his face slightly grimaced.

"I'll need some medical aid after most likely. There is a magical town not too far from here, we could ask Rhodey, Pepper or Happy to watch her."

"Sounds good to me. What can I do to help you pre, during and after?"

"After, I'll just be sore and tired. I'll be fine Tony… Actually, one of Lily's old friends could come and help. I'm sure he'd love to see Mim."

"Who is he?"

"He's name is Severus… he was a spy in the war. He was in the 'right' house. Many people thought he would join after Hogwarts anyway. We staged a large fight between them, to seal the deal with some of the other death eaters. He knew he wanted to help. Lily being a Muggleborn. For two years at Hogwarts they only spoke in secret."

"The more the merrier."

"Excellent, this moon is a weekend so he should be able to come. He's a teacher at Hogwarts, again partly due to spy days. When Voldemort returns, he will have 'information' on Dumbledore… and Mim."

"Do you really think he will return?" Tony said looking in the direction he knew his daughter was in.

"Dumbledore thinks so, and if Dumbledore thinks so then I'd say it is a pretty high percentage."

Tony paused in his plating a took a deep breath.

"Remus she's so small I can't imagine someone trying to hurt her. I can't picture this man, attempting to kill a one-year-old girl. It's just…"

"I know Tony, but right now. She's safe, she's happy. All we can do is hope for the best, and prepare her for the worst."

"I did it!" the little girl bounded back into the room, her eyes alight with excitement. Tony smiled, feeling most of the worry melt at the sight of her happy face.

"Great, go sit down and I'll bring it over."

The group spent the rest of the night watching avatar (starting at the beginning for Remus), Remus wrote as he watched, hoping that Severus would be able to come. As the night continued they stars began to twinkle through the large windows.

"Right, I believe you have a meeting with your pillow." Tony held his hand out and gestured. "What story would her highness like me to read her to sleep?"

"Huh, can we read Rapunzel?"

"Sure,"

It didn't take long for Mim's eyes to close. Tony kissed her head and made his way downstairs again, grabbing some of the documents Pepper had left him to check. He was half way thought, about to sign for what felt like the two-hundredth time. He had noticed Remus looked nervous about something, and decided to wait patiently for him to spit it out.

"I think calling him Uncle James is a little unfair. He was going to raise her." Remus blurted out, ten minutes later. Though clearly shocked by his outburst, Tony didn't appear to be annoyed, the two sat in silence as the young billionaire mulled over what Remus had said.

"I can see your point," he said finally. "However, I don't want to confuse her too much either – not in that he shouldn't be honoured in that way, but I'm Dad and then if he's Dad, then we have Mum. She's gunna have questions that we don't really want to answer yet. She's a smart, and growingly curious kid now she knows she won't get in trouble."

"Perhaps another version of Dad? There are several, and as for her questions I am not sure. We could say that he is a Dad in the way I am an Uncle not blood but –"

"That could work," Tony said. "We can look into it. Pick a name, and start calling him it. I am not mad Remus." He said noting the werewolves body language. "I understand that you want to honour your friend and his choices. He deserves that title; he was going to raise her. Hell, he died for her. I will never be able to repay him. But the right title in Mim's life is a great start."

Remus smiled, and his body relaxed.

"Thank you, Tony,"

"You got it, don't ever be worried to speak up. You are a part of her life, you are always free to check me if you think I'm doing something wrong, or if you think we should try something. We are a village…. A pack – little on the nose - we are all raising her, helping her. Just cause it's my swimmer doesn't mean I am right in every choice I make for her. Especially as there is a whole world, she is a part of that I don't know. I need all the help I can get Remus." He clapped his hand on the other man's shoulder, and then pulled him in for a hug.

Another chapter down! What do you guys think of the dynamic forming between Remus and Tony. Mim's growth as she realises she is loved and wont be punished. A hint of Pepper and Tony.

I want to know what you guys think. I am currently trying to edit Hogwarts and the books in a way that I think Tony, and a loved and Tony raised Girl Who Lived would react to the various encounters. I hope that I have written the appropriate amount of Tonyism into her, I have began to edit and type alterations and decide plot changed for once we get to Hogwarts.

The reason that ths upload is late is cause I lose my laptop! Luckily I got it back but it took a while so I am now a little behind.

I also want to say I am sorry that I am only posting once a month, but working full time, and then trying to grow my online work, write my own work etc etc.

Also I only post of Fanfiction, but what are the other cite for fanfic you guys read? I hear one has begun to charge people but I am not sure. Suggestions?

I hope you enjoyed this and see you guys next time. xx
