Ray Palmer woke up and found himself staring into the bewildered eyes of a woman he recognised as being Kendra Saunders. In seconds, he was as bewildered as she was - he'd never met her before and yet he had all those memories of their time together. This isn't right, he thought, I have a fiancée whom I love - and would probably do something unspeakable to me if I got involved with another woman.
Sara was looking across the room at the Stranger - she had a name now - Leonard Snart - and a rather mixed batch of memories, that included shedding tears after t man's death. This is utterly crazy, she thought, how can I have two sets of memories?
''Hello, Blondie'' the former dream-presence said.
She would have retorted that her name was Sara, but he had already turned away to look at the man beside him.
Mick was staring at his partner with a sense of utter disbelief as a torrent of hitherto unknown memories coursed through his mind - it felt as if these things had actually happened. To judge from Len's bemused expression, he wasn't any happier thinking about those events either.
''I can't believe you did that'' Jax said accusingly to Stein.
''I didn't -'' his partner began, then realised that he had - at least in his new memories. His current memories told him that someone had done that kind of abduction to all of them before. The new memories also presented him with an image of the eight of them coming round on a rooftop. Ridiculous. Impossible, he thought.
Carter and Kendra were also staring at each other, trying to reconcile the two sets of memories, when the reason for what was happening to them became apparent. Two people had walked into view outside the apparently open doorway of the room they were all lying in. After a moment, they all recognised Rip and some of them recognised Eve Baxter.
''Deja Vu'' Martin Stein remarked, in an irritated tone.
Mick Rory's reaction was a bit more direct. He was on his feet, charging towards the doorway with an incoherent roar. The forcefield at the entrance threw him backwards.
''He never was very bright' 'Rip remarked to Eve.
It seemed to Eve that this had not been a good idea - all eight of the room's inhabitants were now facing the security barrier with angry expressions.
''There's a lot you need to know'' Rip told them. ''The short version is that Vandal Savage is alive and -once again - we could use your help to defeat him.''
''We have proof'' Eve added ''We'll play it to you over that monitor'' she pointed ''then, when you've calmed down, we'll give you back your weapons and let you go.''
''Give you some time to think about it'' that was Rip ''and decide if you to meet us at the same place as before.''
''You make a great double act'' Snart said sarcastically.
