Chapter 20
"What do you think she's doing?" Soujun asked suddenly in the middle of dinner.
Byakuya frowned as he looked at his father, it was more than obvious that he was talking about Rukia but the way he phrased the question didn't like him, melancholy was not his favorite emotion.
"Probably enjoying a nice dinner with friends?" Ginrei suggested with a fond smile.
Byakuya raised an eyebrow at his grandfather.
"What?" Ginrei asked after seeing Byakuya's expression.
"I just find odd how at ease you seem to be when Rukia is out there with who knows who doing who knows what," Byakuya scoffed "she is living with a man, and you're suggesting a nice dinner with friends?" he let his skepticism show on his features.
Ginrei placed his fork calmly on his plate.
"I am still worried," he admitted "don't talk as if I'm no longer interested in our girl's wellbeing."
"Then," Soujun inquired while resting his chin on the palm of his hand "what brought this change?"
Ginrei kept a cool and collected pose, he realized how careless he had been at not showing the previous worry over Rukia, but that wasn't something he could keep up, especially now that he knew Yoruichi was keeping an eye on her, he didn't want to lie to Soujun and Byakuya but the deal he made with Rukia was a priority.
It was the best chance they had at bringing her back to the mansion.
"You mean the fact that I'm no longer bedridden and depressed?" Ginrei questioned.
Soujun and Byakuya nodded.
"Well," Ginrei said as he picked his glass "I realized that we've underestimated her."
Byakuya frowned.
"What does that mean?" he asked.
"She's a Kuchiki," Ginrei explained calmly "but more than that she's Hisana's daughter," he smiled fondly "do I have to remind to both of you how good Hisana was at escaping? She hid for years with Yoruichi when they were teenagers and when she got mad at you," he looked at Byakuya "not even our security team was able to find her."
Byakuya sighed heavily.
"And that's the whole reason behind your chirpy and content mood?" he asked.
Ginrei nodded.
"I am also looking forward to the Chappy convention," he confessed smiling "I'm confident she will be there."
"We'll bring her here that day," Soujun exclaimed smiling "I cannot wait to see her again."
Ginrei couldn't help but chuckle.
"What?" Soujun asked frowning "what's so funny about what I said?"
Ginrei shook his head.
"Let's be honest here," he said "do you think that she won't have one or two tricks down her sleeve that day?"
"We'll be prepared," Byakuya acknowledged "even if she causes mayhem around the building all of the exits will be blocked so she, and whoever goes with her, won't have a single chance of escaping."
Ginrei gaped.
"You cannot lock the exits!" he exclaimed scandalized "we'll have hundreds of teenage girls there, are you crazy?!"
Soujun laughed.
"Father, calm down" he said "the blocking of the exits is the last resource, we will only use that in case our main plan fails."
"Main plan?" Ginrei questioned, how much of the convention he didn't know? Why was he listening about this until now?
Soujun nodded proudly.
"Rukia will do everything on her power to win the ticket to Chappyland," he reasoned "we will hand the ticket inside a private, and closed, office on the fifth floor" he chuckled "not even Rukia will be able to escape from there."
Ginrei blinked twice, he was surprised.
"I have to praise you for this amount of preparation," he said "honestly."
Soujun's smirk couldn't get any wider.
"Let's have a toast," he said while lifting his glass of wine "for Chappy the rabbit, who will bring Rukia back to us next week!"
Ginrei and Byakuya raised their glasses.
Poor idiots... Ginrei thought finally, he knew Rukia was going to be more than prepared for whatever they would throw at her.
"So," Senna smirked "nice to see you again, Rukia."
Rukia sighed heavily as she looked at the girls in front of her, Senna was at the center, looking smug and obviously ready to give her a huge headache, she was flanked by a blonde girl who looked sort of boyish, an skinny black haired girl who's smile strike Rukia in a wrong way and, last but not least, a busty green haired girl who was gorgeous, and they were all looking at Rukia as if she was some circus attraction.
Long story short, she wanted to punch all of them on the face but since she was tied to a wooden chair that was not possible.
"Senna," Rukia greeted without smiling "fancy meeting you here, why didn't you greet me at the party?" she gasped "oh sorry, I forgot, you weren't invited."
"Didn't take her for a nasty bitch," the green haired one praised Rukia "guess I was wrong."
"Rukia," Senna said again, spitting the name with resentment "this is Menoly, Loly and Nel, my best friends," she introduced them while pointing at each one "I told them about you and they were dying to meet you."
Rukia was not amused at the sarcastic tone and at the obvious bullying attempt, she had been there before and she was not going to have any of it anymore, the convent had been more than enough.
"I'm honored," she said flatly "now you met me, let me go."
"Oh no," Nel said while smiling and tossing her hair back "we haven't met properly, we know nothing about you."
Rukia frowned.
"What is there to know about me?" she questioned "I like animals, cheap TV shows and mangas, I'm a high school student and I'm pissed off right now! Let me go!"
"Touchy," Loly muttered "you're not leaving until you answer a few questions and…"
"Listen," Rukia snapped interrupting Loly "I don't know what your deal is, seriously, but just let me go so you don't have to do this troublesome for you."
Senna scoffed.
"And how would you do this troublesome for us?"
Rukia glared at her.
"What?" Senna taunted "are you going to call daddy dearest?"
Rukia gaped offended, that was the last straw.
"Oh my God!" she groaned "why does everybody keep talking about daddy?! I mean, sure he might look threatening but..." she scoffed "ugh, I'm not telling him about this! Never!" she declared angrily as she thought about Byakuya "the last thing I need is him sending Robert..."
"Who's Robert?" Menoly asked.
"The head of the security team," Rukia explained "anyway, if daddy hears about this he won't leave me alone and I'll be locked at the mansion again..."
"Mansion? Again?" Nel questioned.
"Yeah," Rukia kept ranting, she wanted to stop but she was unable to, the effects of whatever she drank at the party were still fresh "you would think that a businessman would be too busy to keep tabs on his daughter but oh God, that stereotype is far from truth!" she groaned again "can we please stop talking about daddy?!"
Menoly, Loly, Senna and Nel exchanged confused glances.
"You're drunk, aren't you?" Senna asked finally.
"Sort of," Rukia admitted "not that it matters, besides I can tell I'm going to remember everything by tomorrow."
"Wait," Nel said "so, is your father really a mafia boss? That's why no one knows your last name?"
Rukia rolled her eyes.
"If my answer is yes," Rukia said and noticed pleased how all of the girls paled "will you set me free from this predicament?"
"Yes" Nel, Loly and Menoly answered.
"No!" Senna answered.
Rukia smirked.
"Uh," she said as she observed Senna "not afraid of big mafia bosses?" she asked "that's impressive."
"You're obviously lying!" Senna exclaimed angrily "your father is not a Yakuza and you're not rich."
Rukia scrunched her nose at that, she knew her family would've been terribly offended at both accusations.
"Well no," she said finally "I'm not rich..."
"Ha!" Senna cheered.
"My father and my grandparents are," Rukia reasoned "I don't even have a job yet."
"That's what all rich kids say!" Loly frowned.
"It's the truth," Rukia explained "I cannot go around bragging about daddy, grandpa or grandaddy's money even if I'm allowed to."
"You're allowed to?" Menoly questioned.
Rukia nodded.
"Yeah," she said "Grandpa takes it quite personally if people don't recognize that fact about the family, he's quite materialistic."
"Grandaddy?" Nel questioned.
"Oh, he doesn't care" Rukia said, obviously not understanding that Nel just wanted to know why she had two grandparents "he built the fortune so now he simply enjoys it, he likes go give me presents but other than that he's quite a simple man."
"And daddy?" Menoly asked.
"Well, I don't know how to describe daddy's relationship with his money," Rukia admitted and then looked around herself "let's just say that I would be grounded for life if I were to tell him that I picked a run-down place like this one to stay at the beach," then she looked at Senna "are you okay sleeping like this?"
Senna blushed angrily.
"Are you the daughter of a Yakuza? Yes or no?" she asked Rukia.
Rukia could picture Riruka telling her "Yes! Tell her that you are! She'll be afraid of you!" but didn't know if answering was a good idea. After all, what were they going to do with that? Research the Yakuza clans so they could find her last name? It was idiotic and, if memory served right, Ginrei was friend of one or two retired Yakuza leaders.
"Next question" Rukia said finally.
Nel frowned.
"What's your last name?" she asked.
"Next question" Rukia repeated.
"What's your father's name?" Menoly asked.
"Next question," Rukia groaned while rolling her eyes "I'm trying not to think about daddy! I was in a party!"
"Are you dating Kurosaki Ichigo?" Loly asked finally.
At that Rukia didn't know what to answer, at first she blushed because she could only think about the kisses she shared with him, the time they slept together and, of course, the amazing weekend at the countryside but, after pondering that question for a few seconds, she started to laugh.
"Dating Ichigo?!" Rukia asked as she laughed "oh my God!" her laughter was not stopping and she was dying to tell Ichigo about the ludicrous scenario that popped in her head "oh I cannot wait to tell him about it!"
Senna blinked and exchanged a confused glance with Nel.
"You're not dating him?" Nel pressed on.
"We're friends!" Rukia said as her laughter subsided.
"Then why were you kissing him?" Loly asked "we saw you earlier, at the beach."
Rukia sighed happily as she remembered that kiss, it wasn't as if she could explain that Ichigo was helping her to enjoy a "normal girl" life and that that included an amazing guy with whom she enjoyed to share kisses here and there, so she kept the explanation simple.
"We like to kiss," Rukia answered "he's amazing at that."
Senna blushed angrily.
"That's it?!" she asked "that's all?! Do you realize that you're using him?!"
Rukia frowned.
"Uh?" she asked confused.
"Yeah," Senna said "you just have him as a kissing machine? He probably is scared of saying no because your father is dangerous and..."
"Ichigo was the one who proposed the usual and casual kissing," Rukia explained "I thought it was fine, I mean, can't a girl enjoy sharing one or two kisses with her best friend? Ichigo likes it as well and it's not as if we're seeing other people."
Senna gaped.
"Aren't Yakuza clans supposed to be extremely traditional?"
Rukia scoffed.
"You tell that to my father," she said "he used to kidnap my mother whenever she would get mad at him because that was the only way he would make her listen," she shuddered "grandpa likes to joke about how I was conceived at a security house or something like that, ugh, adults are weird."
"Okay, enough!" Senna barked "answer our questions seriously or we'll be forced to take drastic measures?!"
"And what these drastic measures would be?" Rukia asked.
Senna smirked as she took out her cellphone.
Riruka took pride in being an awesome liar, such a good liar that when she told her mom that she wanted to change schools she made up a whole love story and her mother, who was aware of Riruka's hatred towards boys, bought it. Such a good liar that when one boy wanted to trick her into going to the janitor's closet with him she made him have lunch with her first and ended up putting laxatives on his drink so he shat all over his pants in the middle of the cafeteria, so Riruka was a proud liar but this time… she was thinking that she overdid it a little.
"Did you hear?" some people around the party were whispering "Rukia's father has a house around here and Ichigo went there with her so he could get her father's blessing…"
"I heard he also wants to join the family business in the future!" another boy exclaimed "he already looks like he's built for the job!"
"I heard she also joined our school so she could be close to him!" another boy said "and I heard Ichigo's family love her!"
Well… Riruka thought that last one isn't a complete lie.
All she had done was to explain to a couple of random idiots how Rukia and Ichigo left the party to have some time to themselves, she didn't think that it would escalate this much but again, boys were idiots and they loved gossip more than girls. She looked around to make sure that Kaien's sister wasn't close, since she was a close friend of Yoruichi Riruka didn't want her to find out about this.
What would Rukia's godmother were to say if she found out that she was alone with a boy in the middle of the dark beach?!
"My idiot goddaughter is doing what with who?" Yoruichi asked over the phone as she parked next to the costume shop, she had promised Rukia that she would start with the preparations for the Chappy convention so she wanted to have everything ready.
"Well," Kukaku said at the other side of the line "according to the rumors around my beach house she left with Ichigo to have a romantic stroll on the beach and, after they're done exchanging saliva, they're going to meet Rukia's father, who apparently is a terrifying Yakuza, at her beach house so Ichigo can get the blessing of the whole clan and join the family business in the future."
Yoruichi blinked twice, what the fuck?
"What kind of drugs are teenagers taking these days?" she questioned.
"Beats me," Kukaku answered "but if you want the official version of the current events, your goddaughter was kidnapped by some bullies and Ichigo is looking for her, the pink haired one…"
"Riruka" Yoruichi said.
"Yeah her," Kukaku agreed "she's spreading the rumors so no one can find out that Rukia is probably being tortured right now."
"Damn," Yoruichi breathed "so much is happening but I guess that's sort of normal at a high school party."
"I guess," Kukaku said "so I just called you to ask if I should intervene, I know where your goddaughter is, do you want me to rescue her? Something tells me Ichigo is not going to get to her soon."
Yoruichi smirked as she stepped out of her car towards the colorful store.
"No, don't worry" she said.
"Are you sure?" Kukaku asked.
"Hey, you're talking about my goddaughter!" Yoruichi exclaimed "she was expecting something like this to happen so we took some precautions, you'll see some fireworks soon."
Kukaku laughed.
"If you say so," she said "I do love fireworks."
"Then keep an eye on the beach," Yoruichi advised as she approached a cute glitter gun that caught her attention between the costumes "it's going to be explosive."
Ichigo ran as fast as he could, although he didn't know where he was going, where to look or how to even begin the search, what was he supposed to do? Go to the nearest surfboard store and ask if they had seen a lowkey drunk girl with wonderful eyes? Yeah, no, they would probably look at him as if he was drunk. He sighed heavily and ran a hand through his hair, who had taken Rukia? Why?
How does a novice get into so many troubles just by existing?
He was about to yell at the sky when out of nowhere someone made him turn around by grabbing his shoulder, he was about to punch the stranger when he realized that it was Grimmjow the one who was behind him and he looked beyond pissed.
"What the fuck do you want? And what are you doing here?" Ichigo barked angrily, just seeing him made his blood boil, he still couldn't believe how he didn't stay in his past.
"You lost her, didn't you?" Grimmjow asked him back not even wincing at Ichigo's rudeness.
Ichigo's eyes widened as he realized that Grimmjow already knew about Rukia's disappearance.
"How the fuck would you know?!" Ichigo hissed dangerously.
Grimmjow smirked.
"Fucking idiot," he growled "you act all high and mighty and tell me how you're keeping your eyes on her and all it takes is a party to lose her," he grabbed Ichigo by the front of his shirt "I'm starting to think that I might as well beat the shit out of you every time you fuck up."
Ichigo was breathing heavily already, their faces were only inches apart and he noticed how Grimmjow's eyes were shining menacingly, why did he care? Sure, he had requested his help but not this time, only at school, so why was he wondering about Rukia? And how did he know?!
"I don't have time to lose with you," Ichigo scoffed while pushing Grimmjow away from him, his closeness made it hard for him to think "how do you know she's missing?"
Grimmjow sneered.
"Believe it or not," he said "I was in the lame party where the bitches planned her kidnapping."
"What bitches?" Ichigo questioned confused.
Grimmjow rolled his eyes.
"Come with me," he ordered as he started to walk "we're quite far away from the place but we might make it on time."
Ichigo nodded as he decided to follow Grimmjow.
"Hurry the fuck up!" Grimmjow barked as he grabbed Ichigo's wrist and pulled him so they could run side by side.
Ichigo was starting to regret coming to Kaien's party, especially after realizing that if a stranger were to see him right now they would get to the conclusion that Ichigo was taking a nice stroll on the beach with Grimmjow.
"Fuck me" Ichigo muttered upset.
"Tempting proposition," Grimmjow said flatly "but believe it or not I rather reach the princess in the next five minutes and you like to take your sweet time when…"
"Pig" Ichigo hissed interrupting him.
Grimmjow chuckled, getting under Ichigo's skin was way too easy.
Rukia didn't panic when Senna took out her cellphone, she had imagined the worst scenarios with Riruka and Yoruichi and getting kidnapped was one of them, of course Rukia imagined her father kidnapping her, not Senna, but the point remained. She looked sideways at the table next to the wall and noticed, pleased, the alcohol bottles.
That would do.
"We're going to take off that pretty dress and send your nude pictures all over the school, okay?" Senna explained with fake sweetness "you might have to move out of town due to the embarrassment..."
Rukia sighed as she made sure that her bracelet was still on place, she was tied to a wooden chair but it didn't matter, Yoruichi assured her that the little artefact would work with just three taps.
"You know," Rukia said as Senna pulled her hair to force her to look at her "you might want to reconsider this, seriously."
"I'm not afraid of you," Senna hissed "no-last-name idiot."
Rukia sighed and then smiled at Senna.
"That's because you don't know who my family is," she said smugly "but just for the record, my godmother would kill me if I let you do something to me, don't take this personal."
Senna didn't have the chance to ask what was Rukia talking about, because in one single motion Rukia opened her legs, which the girls didn't tie, and wrapped them around Senna's waist.
"What are you…?!" Senna tried to ask but words failed her, she lost balance and, since Rukia's legs were still around her waist, they both fell on the floor breaking the chair on the process.
It all happened on a matter of seconds, Rukia took the chance once she noticed she was free and pointed her bracelet to the alcohol bottles in the room, she gave it three taps and, just as Yoruichi promised, a single silent bullet came out and landed right between the bottles. Rukia was about to yell "success!" when she noticed how Loly and Menoly jumped on her, Nel was apparently helping Senna.
Talk about sorority… Rukia thought suddenly wishing that Riruka was here with her.
"This is not going to stay like this!" Loly swore angrily.
"I think that you'll have to focus on something other than me!" Rukia warned her.
Nel was about to ask her what she meant by that but she never got the chance, a bottle broke suddenly at the end of the room and a small fire started. It was a small flame, not even big enough to make a ruckus, but they were inside a wooden cabin and it didn't help at all that the fire started next to the unopened, and flammable, liquor bottles. Everyone gasped as they realized that they didn't have a fire extinguisher nearby.
"Everyone out!" Nel yelled "this shit is going to kill us! Are you crazy?!" she asked Rukia.
"No!" Rukia answered while standing up, Loly and Menoly were picking up the bags around the room before the fire could reach them "but you mess up with a Yakuza princess and you go to sleep with the fishes!"
She pointed the bracelet at the girls and the reaction she got was priceless, Nel and Senna raised their hands in surrender and paled considerably. Rukia fought the urge to laugh, Yoruichi had warned her how the bracelet was going to work only once so the fun was over, besides it wasn't as if she actually wanted to hurt the girls.
"I'll be taking my leave," Rukia announced while walking towards the door without stop pointing at Senna and Nel "I'll make sure to inform daddy about your hospitality towards me!"
"Please, don't…!" Nel tried to say but Rukia left the cabin before she could hear anything else.
She started to run and laugh as the adrenaline started to leave her system.
"No more bullies for me, mom!" she cheered once she reached the beach.
She couldn't wait to tell Yoruichi and Riruka about the whole thing.
Kukaku observed the fire the moment it started, having such a huge rooftop had its own advantages, she heard the screaming but at the same time she could make a single silhouette running freely towards the beach so she knew the little Kuchiki princess was fine. She smirked as she remembered Hisana and wondered if she was looking at all of this.
"Quite the explosive one," she praised "definitely a Kuchiki to the bone."
The fire started to grow and a little crowd started to gather around the little run-down hostel, and Kukaku felt nothing but proud as she heard the frantic screaming of four girls who apparently had lost their underwear and whatever they were going to use to go back home tomorrow.
"Nice one" Kukaku chuckled finally as she stood up.
It was time for their own bonfire at the beach.
"Never mind," Grimmjow exclaimed as he observed the growing fire from their spot at the beach "it's too late."
Ichigo's eyes widened as he heard the screaming of several girls, he couldn't see them from the distance but their voices sounded familiar to him. He looked around him and noticed how only he and Grimmjow were the ones around this part of the beach, he could still see Kaien's house but there was no point, no one at the party would be able to come and help them put out the fire, hell even Ichigo would have to walk quite the distance if he wanted to help the locals.
Besides, what was Grimmjow's deal? What did mean by too late? Rukia couldn't be there, right? Besides now that he thought about it perhaps Grimmjow tricked him, perhaps he brought it here all alone just to mess up with his head once more. Ichigo was about to accuse him of all of this when Grimmjow, who hadn't let go of his wrist, looked at him worriedly.
"What is it?" Ichigo asked, perhaps Grimmjow was drunk.
"The princess…." He said and he sounded really worried "I mean, I don't know your story with her but…"
"Grimmjow," Ichigo stopped him "are you drunk?!"
Grimmjow's worried face faded as he glared at Ichigo.
"I'm showing true concern here over your girlfriend and you're asking me if I'm drunk?!" he barked.
"She's not my girlfriend, asshole!" Ichigo yelled back "and what am I supposed to think when you bring me to the desolated part of the beach and say nothing to me?!"
"Listen, idiot!" Grimmjow pushed him "just because I still find you mildly attractive it does not mean that…"
"Who are you looking for?" someone asked interrupting Grimmjow and both boys turned to look at the owner of the voice with pale faces.
Rukia chuckled once they spotted her. They were very alike, if it wasn't for the fact that she knew them and the fact that they dated, she would've believed that they were brothers.
"Midget!"
"Princess!"
Rukia smiled at both of them, she was still a little wary about Grimmjow but he had been respecting his agreement with Ichigo and defended her from Ginjo so she didn't have it in her to actually dislike him.
"Hey," she greeted as she walked towards them as steady as she could, she was still dizzy "what did I miss?"
"Where were you?" Ichigo asked aghast as he tried to hide the relief he felt at seeing her safe and sound "why did you leave the property?!"
"I didn't leave it because I wanted to," she answered as she took Ichigo's hand "that I can assure you."
"Let me guess," Grimmjow said "Senna and company?"
Rukia sighed as Ichigo looked at her questioningly.
"Yeah," she confirmed "it's okay, they left me alone after a while," she chuckled then "they will be quite busy for the rest of the night."
Ichigo frowned, what exactly happened?
"Did they do something to you?"
Rukia shrugged, she was not going to share everything with him otherwise she would've to explain why Yoruichi was looking after her and that would lead to a ton of questions she wasn't ready to answer yet.
"Never mind that," she dodged the question and then looked at Kaien's house "is that a bonfire?" she asked.
Another fire was starting but Ichigo could hear several of his friends cheering and he knew it was just a matter of time for Kukaku to take out the fireworks, the party was coming to an end but Ichigo considered this a happy ending, especially now that he had Rukia's hand holding his own. He pushed at the back of his mind the way she avoided to tell him anything about her little adventure, he could always ask later.
"Let's go," Ichigo said "after running through the whole beach we deserve a few more drinks."
Grimmjow saw how Ichigo and Rukia started to walk back towards their party and sighed heavily, he would have to go back to his lame companions and help Senna and the others to control the fire, who started it anyway? Perhaps Nel had left some cigarette laying around, Grimmjow thought that it was sort of convenient, otherwise they would've tortured the novice until midnight.
He was about to start to walk when someone grabbed his hand.
"Come with us," Rukia said smiling at him "Riruka saved some snacks and Ichigo has been looking for someone to race him on the pool the whole time."
Grimmjow smirked.
"Are you sure?" he asked her "some of your friends might get tense if they were to see me," he looked at Ichigo then knowing that he wouldn't like the idea of him on the party "don't you think?"
Ichigo scratched the back of his head awkwardly.
"Most of them are drunk by now," he muttered while awkwardly scratching the back of his head "they won't even recognize you."
Grimmjow's eyes widened at that, was he really…?
"It's settled then!" Rukia cheered as she started to run towards the bonfire "I bet I can beat you both!"
Grimmjow and Ichigo exchanged a smirk at that and started to run after her, and for a minute Grimmjow thought that he could allow himself to enjoy their company for tonight, only for tonight, because deep down he believed he didn't deserve the kindness they were showing towards him.
In the end, while Ichigo and Grimmjow enjoyed a drinking contest and the rest of the people cheered and danced around the bonfire, Rukia stared up at the sky and wondered what her family was up to, she couldn't believe she was enjoying this kind of freedom and the crazy experience she lived at the hands of Senna, she promised herself that even if she were to go back to the mansion she would keep this night mostly to herself, otherwise the Kuchiki men would go crazy about it.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Riruka asked while placing an arm around her shoulders.
Rukia smiled at her.
"I'm just thinking about how much I enjoy being free," she admitted "I mean, I'm tipsy, I set a hostel on fire and now there's a bonfire behind me waiting for me to start dancing around it, what's next?"
Riruka smirked.
"The Chappy convention and the trip to Chappyland once we win the ticket," she said "we might set something on fire around the Kuchiki building."
Rukia smiled.
"Dad won't know what hit him" she agreed as they turned back to enjoy the bonfire.
Byakuya was about to go to sleep when Soujun stopped him at the top of the stairs, Byakuya was about to tell him to drop his dramatic tendencies, it was late and he wanted to rest. Unfortunately before Byakuya could open his mouth his father, who looked worried sick, showed him his cellphone.
Byakuya grabbed it hoping that it wouldn't be too serious.
"Read the headline," Soujun ordered "these are the news from the next town."
Byakuya frowned.
"Criminals escape from youth reform center," he read and then his eyes widened "the names on the list are…" he stopped reading aloud, now he understood why his father looked near having a heart attack, a name stood out on the list.
"No matter what happens," Soujun said seriously "we have to bring Rukia back, there's no way he is getting to her before us."
Byakuya nodded.
"She's not escaping at the convention," Byakuya swore "I'll bring her here even if I have to use the whole security team."
Little did he know that his whole security team was not going to be enough to stop Rukia.
"We have to be prepared for anything," Soujun added "just in case."
"Of course we have to be prepared," Byakuya said while walking towards his room "she's my daughter after all."
I'm in a terrible hurry! Seriously! But I couldn't keep postponing this update so, if you're still here, let me know what you think, okay?! The ichirukiness comes back in the next one and… the Chappy convention!
Let me know if you liked this chapter.
I apologize for my grammar mistakes, kisses!
