Ralph Dibney didn't entirely trust these newcomers, with their exotic tech and strange powers. Sure, they had proved themselves to be against the residual Nazis but that didn't necessarily put them on the side of the Resistance. The war was only just winding down and there were already too many people who were out for themselves. He had told his men to keep a discrete eye on their new companions. He was leading them to a place where, he hoped, they would become someone else's problem, along with the two prisoners the wing-sprouting couple had presented him with. It was with relief that he led the group round the corner into the street that held Sanctuary Hall.

''In there'' the Sergeant gestured with the gun he was holding, not quite casually.

Rip had already registered the fact that the Resistance patrol's leader didn't trust him or the other Legends. He glanced inside the hall, relaxing when he saw that most of the occupants were children, most of whom were sitting at long tables. It was a dining hall.

''Who are they?'' Rip asked Dibney.

''Orphans mostly'' a dark-haired woman said tersely. Then she thrust a basket of bread slices towards him. 'Hand these out, will you?'' Obviously, she assumed he was some kind of volunteer.

Ray, who happened to be standing next to Rip, said in a surprised tone ''Felicity? Felicity Smoak?''

''That's my name. Don't wear it out.'' She gave him a brief look, then handed him a bowl that contained some kind of meat. ''Have we met?''

''Ray Palmer'' he answered and got a blank look. Obviously, the doppelgangers of Felicity and Ray didn't know each other.

Ralph took a couple of paces backwards, telling most of his team to continue keeping an eye on the newcomers. He set off with two of his men to deliver the prisoners to the nearby lock-up. He'd be able to call in the situation from there.

The male members of the group might feel a bit awkward, but Kendra and Nora soon got into the spirit of taking food around the tables. At first this place reminded Nora of some of the grimmer settings she'd found herself in during her childhood - but the feeling in this place was quite different. She could almost taste the hope that Rip hand the rest of them had wanted to find on this planet.

She drifted back towards Ray and for a while they just stood and watched the children tucking in. The woman - Felicity - was watching with an enigmatic smile. Nora thought she could have done with a good meal herself.

''How do you know her?'' she asked in a soft voice.

''She's the doppelganger of Oliver Queen's girlfriend. Except that one's blonde.''

From behind came a familiar voice. ''Ray Palmer? Jax? Professor Stein?''' There was definite surprise in the tone as the speaker said the last name.

Almost simultaneously, they turned round. Two men were standing in the entrance way. One of them was Leonard Snart.
