Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail or any of its characters they are property of Hiro Masima.

First of all, I want to address something before I start with the story. Considering why Lucy wanted Lisanna out, the current story is pretty bad, thanks for everyone who pointed it out, I agree with you all. So I am going to address more of what happened in flashbacks throughout the following chapters. I also went back and edited the time between Lisanna returning and getting kicked out in chapter 1 as to give myself a bit of extra time to play around with giving Lucy a better motive. With that being said, enjoy.

NightSlayer04: I wanted the guild's name to be something that conveys that it is a safe place for its members, hope I accomplished that.

mauricio11: NaLi is quite a nice pairing and I am happy to write about it.

yogaratw067: I will see if I am going to add some of Fairy Tail's members, but for now I don't think I will bar one of course as you will see in this chapter. But I will keep it in mind thank you.

RavenStrider: I agree with your criticism 100%, thanks for that. I hope the bit I added to Lucy's motives so far is a move in the right direction. I am planning on exploring her reasons further in the next chapter. Thanks for your suggestions, I went with how you mentioned mythological creatures and I hope you like what I came up with.

GreekfanFT: I wanted to expand on the Thunder Legion's reactions a bit more to them forming a new guild in this chapter, I neared the word limit I want for these chapters and I think that I can create a better reaction with the guild's name already decided, in the beginning of the next chapter. I hope I can portray Lucy's jealousy better in the coming chapters, and I agree with you that I botched that quite hard. Hope I can keep you interested in this fic.

NinjaFang1331: Thank you.

Kriim-Sauce786: I'm glad the story surprised you with its direction and that you are enjoying it. I have an idea as to how I will incorporate Natsu's demonic powers, but for that to happen a specific event still needs to take place. reading your review gave me a fun idea to use for the time during the 7-year time skip. I will see who I will add to the guild and if I want them to have some sort of extra arc added to make it more than just 'Oh they joined'. I agree that Lisanna shouldn't be a fighter like the rest and I will incorporate it in future chapters. I will begin to mention Gajeel talking about mates before the time sip to make some members think, but that won't have that much of an effect until they return after the seven years.

Thanks to all of you who reviewed, I really appreciate it and it also helps me get new ideas.

-Mountains near Kodokuna Yama-

"Mira, I was wondering, what should we say when we deliver the report to the mayor?" Lisanna asked as the three siblings began the walk back to town, Natsu being carried on Elfman's back.

"I can see where you're coming from. Let's give the report as accurately as we can but keep the last part to ourselves, at least until we get some answers from Natsu," Mira said after a moment's thought.

"I hope that whatever it was it isn't harmful to Natsu," Lisanna said with worry in her voice. Mira couldn't help but giggle at her sister and the obvious affection she held for Natsu.

"What is it now Mira?" Lisanna asked the giggling beauty.

"Oh, nothing really, just seems like your crush has only grown since you returned," Mira said with a sly grin.

"Mira," Lisanna complained but her face was as red as a tomato and she had a small smile on her face. The group heard a gasp coming from further down the mountain and when they turned their eyes to where it came from they saw four people and one cat standing further down the uneven mountain path.

"Mira, Lisanna, Elfman, what are you doing here?" Freed asked as the two groups came face to face.

"What does it matter to you?" Mira asked as a scowl formed on her face, anger still lingering in her heart at how Fairy Tail threw her sister out with no good reason. Like the rest of her siblings, she was unaware of this particular group's feelings on the matter.

Elfman quickly moved Lisanna behind him in a protective manner. 'Damn, if Natsu wasn't knocked out I could move around easier, not manly,' Elfman thought as he had to be extra cautious as to not drop Natsu.

"Hold on Mira, we aren't here to fight or anything," Freed quickly blurted out and raised his hands to show that they weren't a threat. Fighting the Demon Mirajane when she was angry with you and she believes that you might harm her siblings isn't a sound plan if you plan on living past sunset.

"What are you doing here?" Mira asked, keeping the strict tone, not yet convinced that they only came here by chance. She did, however, lessen the scowl into a calmer demeanour which caused the Thunder Legion to fell a wave of relief wash over them.

"We came here to deal with a problem the town near here hand," Freed explained

"And what is this 'problem'?" Mira asked, making sure to emphasise the word 'problem' as if to warn them to tread carefully as to what they were saying.

"The town near here had sent out a request to deal with a wyvern problem they had, we accepted that job and now we are here looking for the wyverns," Freed explained, happy to see Mira relaxing.

Mira kept a calculating gaze on the four mages, and then a questioning look came to her eyes as a frown formed once her eyes landed on Wendy's blue hair. She saw the small girl looking around with a distressed look on her face.

"You brought Wendy on a mission like this, what were you thinking? Wyverns can be dangerous with their different elements giving them unique traits," Mira shouted as her motherly personality took over as she quickly made her way over to the distressed young girl. The Thunder Legion was surprised by the sudden change to Mira's personality but grateful that there was less anger directed at them. They turned back to the other two Strauss siblings only to see a hard look on Elfman's face and a guarded look in Lisanna's, not that they could blame her.

"There is no need to worry Wendy, we took care of the Wyverns, so they won't be bothering us," Mira gently whispered to the blue-haired girl, trying to calm her down.

"Wh-Where is Natsu. I know he went with you, but I don't see him… where is he?" Wendy asked in a voice filled with worry as tears began forming in her eyes as she looked up at Mira. Mira gently took Wendy into a comforting hug.

"He's right here, he used up a lot of magic in his fight, just like always he went a bit overboard so Elfman is carrying him for now. No need to worry he is perfectly fine," Mira gently told Wendy as she stroked her hair comfortingly.

Wendy broke out of Mira's gentle embrace the moment she heard Elfman was carrying Natsu and dashed towards the big man. Elfman, having heard the exchange between Mira and Wendy gently placed Natsu on the ground just as Wendy arrived next to him.

Wendy quickly looked over Natsu before letting out a relieved sigh once she saw that he was okay. A light blue aura emanated from her hands as she healed Natsu from the minor scratches he had and replenishing his stamina a little. Natsu's eyes slowly started to crack open. Seeing this Wendy nearly jumped on top of Natsu and engulfed him in a tight embrace.

"Hey there Wendy, how you doing?" Natsu asked as he pushed himself up in a sitting position before returning Wendy's hug. A kind smile formed on his face as he looked down on the small girl who was clinging to him as if her life depended on it.

"Natsu, I'm so sorry for not speaking up for you, I just didn't know what to do," Wendy whimpered out as tears escaped her once she finally let out the bottled up feelings of guilt that she buried ever since Natsu and the Strauss siblings left the guild.

"There is nothing for you to be sorry about, I know you were one of the few who weren't against Lisanna," Natsu softly told the crying bluenette in his arms. The other mages looked on with a smile at the beautiful moment between the two when Mira realised what Natsu said.

"Natsu, you said that there were people who weren't against Lisanna?" Mira asked, wanting to believe that at least some members of their previous family still believed in her sister.

"I didn't say anything about that?" Natsu asked surprised. He was met with the look that screamed 'Are you serious' coming from Mira and Lisanna.

"Oh, sorry. Well basically the people who were at the guild at that time that was silent was Wendy, Gajeel, the Thunder Legion, Levy and Cana, but I can't say anything about the members who weren't there when it happened though," Natsu said dismissively as he turned his attention back to Wendy who had fallen asleep in his arms.

"You believe Lisanna didn't attack Lucy?" Mira asked in a shaky voice as emotions began to bubble up.

"Well, all that was said was that a white-haired person attacked her, and kicking her out was a little too close to what happened to Laxus for our liking. Sure Laxus' situation had a few other things to go with harming guild members, but then again if you look at it from Lisanna's situation, most of the guild should have been kicked out by now," Freed said with a smile towards Lisanna.

Lisanna stood there in shocked silence as tears of joy began to drip from her eyes. 'Not all of them thought I hurt Lucy,' was the only thing Lisanna managed to think as the joy of realising that there were more than just Natsu and her siblings who believed her.

"Sorry we couldn't really say anything to defend you but Master made up his mind and you know how stubborn some of the Fairy Tail members can be, especially when it comes to the safety of the guild," Evergreen apologised.

"No need to apologise, with Laxus' expulsion still fresh in the guild's mind, I doubt your words would have carried much weight," Mira said with a sad frown as she answered for her sister who was unable to. Elfman had gently put a comforting hand on Lisanna's shoulder.

"Hey guys, why don't we go back to town and continue this conversation there?" Natsu suggested as he stood up with Wendy still in his arms.

"We would love to but we still have to deal with the Wyvern problem the town has," Freed politely declined.

"We just dealt with the Wyverns though, wait you guys accepted that request? The mayor told us that it didn't seem that anyone would have taken the job," Mira said before, once again, wondering why the Thunder Legion would accept this job along with Wendy.

"Wait, you guys are the group the mayor mentioned?" Evergreen asked in surprise but was ignored as Bickslow started answering Mira's question at the same time.

"Well you see, Wendy was down ever since, well you know…" Bickslow started as his dolls chanted "Sad, sad".

"And then we saw this job and the far off location we thought it would be good for Wendy to get a bit of fresh air and a happier environment," Bickslow finished as his dolls chanted "Happier, happier".

"Thanks for looking after her, but I think we should start heading back," Natsu said with a grateful smile as he started making his way down the mountain, Wendy's healing having helped him recover enough to move on his own even with Wendy securely held in his arms.

"So how did you come to deal with the Wyverns? " Freed asked as the group started to descend.

"Well, we wanted to make a home for ourselves, but we need funds as you can guess, so we just went to the mayor and asked if there was anything we could do to help out," Mira said, not wanting to reveal their wish to form a guild before it was confirmed. Not that she doubted the mayor's words.

"And the fight with the Wyverns, were there any problems there?" Freed asked, continuing the conversation to pass the time.

"Thanks to Natsu we knew how each of the Wyverns should act, and we divided them between ourselves for the best matchups," Mira replied with a smile.

"We beat those beasts like real men," Elfman shouted with pride due to their swift victory.

"But Mira and I are girls," Lisanna said with a giggle at her brother's antics. She was still getting used to Elfman's obsession with manliness but had managed to find out that this habit was due to what Natsu told him after her 'death'.

"What do you mean who each Wyvern acts?" Evergreen asked, wondering how you can predict how mindless beasts act.

"The way Wyverns, Drakes and even Dragons act in general is associated with the element they have control over. Earth is slow but powerful, air is quick and nimble but usually not ass hard-hitting, Fire is brash and charges things head-on. Wyverns can sometimes be found mixed groups such as this group where Drakes would rather stay alone or in small groups consisting of the same elemental Drake. Dragons, on the other hand, are solitary creatures, mostly either being alone or with its mate, though elemental affinity doesn't come into play there," Natsu quickly explained the basics of Draconic creatures' behaviours.

"You sure know a lot about Wyverns, Drakes and Dragons it seems like," Evergreen commented as she was impressed with this information that not even they had known. On quests where they had to deal with Wyverns in the past, they just used normal tactics combined with brute force.

"Well, he was raised by a Dragon remember," Lisanna said, starting to feel more comfortable and getting over her shock regarding her expulsion not being seen the same by the entire guild. Lisanna looked at Natsu with a loving smile and seeing Natsu with Wendy in his arms her mind started drifting and a deep red shade formed on her cheeks before she shook her head to clear her mind of those thoughts.

Mira saw the blush and where Lisanna's eyes were and it wasn't hard for her to figure out what her sister was thinking about. Mira's scheming mind started racing as she thought of ways to bring her sister's little fantasy to life. A creepy grin form on the white-haired demon's face that would send shivers down the spines of whoever might have been unfortunate enough to lay their eyes on it. And sadly for Bickslow, he was the one to spot the grin.

"S-So, found a place you are going to stay?" Bickslow asked in a slightly nervous tone, hoping to steer the conversation away from whatever might be occupying Mira's mind as his dolls chanted "New home, new home".

"No, not yet, we first wanted to see if we could help out. So we will be looking if there are suitable places around here," Mira replied with her usual kind smile, much to Bickslow's relief.

"Seems like you are holding your heads high, even with what happened at the guild," Freed said with a smile, happy to see that the Strauss siblings were restarting their life after being forced to leave all they knew behind.

"At least I still have my siblings and Natsu," Lisanna said with a smile. Natsu turned his head too look back at her and gave her a toothy grin. Lisanna's cheeks reddened as Mira let out a giggle.

"I hope that I'm not stepping out of line, and if you don't want to answer that is perfectly understandable, but I was wondering if you can think of any reason why Lucy would claim you attacked her twice?" Freed asked as the question had been bugging him for quite a while.

A frown formed on Lisanna's face as she thought back to the few weeks she was with the guild and tried to think of anything that could have possibly spurred on whatever made Lucy do what she did but nothing came up.

"No sorry, nothing comes to mind really," Lisanna answered. Just then Mira remembered something that happened, though at the time she just dismissed it as her mishearing things.

-Flashback Fairy Tail Guild Hall-

Lisanna had just left on another quest with Natsu and Mira was busy cleaning mugs at the bar.

'Those two are spending a lot of time together, I wonder when they will admit their feelings for one another,' Mira thought with a smile. She already saw Natsu as more than just a family member in the guild's term, ever since he helped her overcome the grief she felt when Lisanna 'died' she always felt as if he was a second brother-like figure to her. So she didn't have anything against him and Lisanna becoming a couple. Mira's mind began to wander and fantasising about Natsu and Lisanna's future.

"…a…ir… Mira," Mira heard someone calling her name as she snapped out of her fantasy. Mira turned to the voice to see Lucy standing at the bar.

"Oh, sorry Lucy, what can I get for you?" Mira asked with a smile. She placed the mug she was cleaning down, ready to get Lucy whatever she ordered.

"I'm fine, thank you, I just wanted to know if you've seen Natsu around?" Lucy asked as she scanned the guild, trying to find the mop of pink hair belonging to the fiery Dragon Slayer.

"He just went out on another quest with Lisanna, you just missed them, but if you hurry you can still catch up to them," Mira said as she grabbed another mug and started cleaning it.

"Oh, no it's fine," Lucy said with a smile but Mira could see that it wasn't sincere.

"Is everything all right Lucy?" Mira asked with concern.

"Nothing to worry about," Lucy said with a brighter smile, though Mira could still tell something was bothering her but decided not to press the matter. Lucy took her leave and went to sit at one of the tables in the corner of the guild. Just as she sat down Loki appeared and Lucy gave a startled yell before calming down once she saw how it was.

Mira giggled at the spirits antics before turning her attention back to her cleaning. Seeing as it was still early in the day, the guild was still relatively quiet and it was surprising how far someone's voice can carry.

Not trying to eavesdrop, Mira only heard small snippets of the conversation between Lucy and Loki. From what she could hear, Loki was busy consoling Lucy and Lucy was upset that Natsu was always busy with Lisanna. Mira could deduce that Lucy didn't completely blame Natsu for ignoring her, since his childhood friend had returned from the dead, but even after a week Natsu was still completely focused on Lisanna.

More people started to trickle into the guild and Lucy's conversation with Loki started to fade into the daily noise of the guild. The last thing Mira heard was something about 'it' being Lisanna's fault, however, she wasn't sure if she heard it correctly and dismissed it.

-End of flashback-

Mira frowned as she once again thought about that day, and taking into consideration that Lucy had accused Lisanna of, it seemed that she had, in fact, heard correctly and that Lucy was blaming Lisanna for something.

'I first want to ask Lisanna if she remembers anything that might explain why Lucy might have blamed her before bringing it up,' Mira thought to herself, not wanting to spread rumours, just in case there was nothing there.

"No problem, I was just wondering," Freed said as the town came into view.

"Mira, would you mind seeing the mayor without me, I want to go find a room at the inn we saw near the town hall?" Natsu asked as he gestured towards the sleeping Wendy in his arms.

"Sure thing Natsu, we'll meet you there after we're done," Mira said with a smile.

"Be safe Natsu," Lisanna said as she followed Mira and Elfman, while Natsu turned towards the inn he mentioned.

"Mind if we join you?" Freed asked, seeing that they wouldn't be able to get back to Magnolia before nightfall, and staying at an inn was better than camping, especially with Evergreen nearby. A shudder ran down Freed's spine as he remembered the one and only time they camped out with Evergreen and without Laxus. The horrors of that day would never leave two men of the Thunder Legion.

"No problem, but shouldn't you go and see the mayor as well?" Natsu asked.

"Evergreen said she would go and explain while we find a place to stay," Freed said as he motioned towards the disappearing figure of the brunette. With a nod, Natsu led the way towards the inn.

The group of four soon reached a building with light brown roofs and light brown walls. The bottom floor was a small restaurant with a bar and the upper floor acted as the inn. Many of the locals were drinking at the bar as a large, friendly woman in her late forties served them from behind the bar.

"Welcome to the Fireplace Inn and Bar, you can call me Mia," the large woman said in a cheery voice.

"Hi, do you have rooms for the night?" Natsu politely asked. Mia looked at Wendy in Natsu's arms and smiled at the pink-haired man.

"We have four rooms, why don't you take your little friend to one of them. The rooms are up the stairs to the left," Mia suggested with a motherly smile.

"Thank you," Natsu thanked her as he made his way up the stairs with Wendy still fast asleep while Freed and Bickslow went to the bar to get something to drink and talk about payment for the rooms with Mia.

Natsu quickly found an open room and went inside. In the room, there were two beds, a door that led to a bathroom, a dark brown wooden desk with a mirror above it was on the opposite end of the room with a large cabinet and a few paintings of the surrounding mountains completed the décor for the room.

Natsu carefully removed the covers as to not disturb Wendy and gently placed the girl in the bed. After he covered her up he tried to walk away only to feel some resistance. When he looked back he saw that Wendy was clinking to his sleeve and it didn't seem like she was letting go any time soon.

Natsu decided to just sit down next to her and smiled as he saw a small smile spread across her face and her grip lessened as he increased his body temperature to calm her down a bit more.

"Natsu?" Wendy's voice sounded as Natsu looked at her and saw that she had woken up.

"I'm right here Wendy," Natsu gently said as he gave her a smile.

"Uhm, Natsu, what are you going to do now?" Wendy asked in a shy tone as she averted eye contact.

"The plan is to form a guild in this town," Natsu answered as he patted Wendy's head gently.

"You guys are forming a guild?" Wendy asked as her eyes shone a bit.

"Yeah, it's hard to survive without a guild, but joining another one isn't really that appealing right now considering how things ended with Fairy Tail," Natsu said as a darker look overtook his face.

"I'm sorry," Wendy said as she dropped her head.

"Hey now, didn't I tell you that you have nothing to be sorry for," Natsu said as he lifted Wendy's head and looked her in the eyes. He saw tears starting to form and quickly pulled her into a warm hug.

"I miss you, the guild just isn't the same without you there," Wendy whimpered as tears fell from her eyes.

"I'm sorry that I can't be there for you but I can't stay there, knowing how they treated Lisanna," Natsu said with a sigh.

"C-Can I join your new guild?" Wendy asked as she looked up at the man she looked up to as a role model.

"Wendy, I don't want you to join our new guild right now," Natsu started but immediately recognised the mistake he made with his choice of words as Wendy visibly flinched.

"I didn't mean it like that," Natsu quickly said as he tried to reassure Wendy that he didn't mean to make her sad.

"Then why?" Wendy asked as she tried to keep her emotions in check.

"Wendy, I see you as my little sister, and what kind of big brother would I be if I take you away from a home where you are taken care of. Look I would love it if you joined us but we haven't even formed the guild, I don't want you to be without a home for who knows how long," Natsu said as he looked Wendy in the eyes with a serious look.

"Y-you see me as your little sister?" Wendy asked in a soft voice, her throat tightening as she waited for his answer while she looked up as him with her big brown eyes.

"Yes Wendy, I see you as my little sister in every way, and I only want the best for you," Natsu said. Before he even managed to finish his sentence he was tackled to the ground by a blue missile as Wendy wrapped her arms around his middle. Natsu gently picked her up as he sat once again and smiled at the overjoyed face on Wendy's face.

"I love you big brother," Wendy said with a beaming smile as tears of joy stained her face.

"I love you too, now why don't you get some sleep, I'm sure you had a hard few days," Natsu suggested as he smiled down at the girl.

"Will you stay here with me please?" Wendy asked in a cute voice and Natsu could only smile as he helped her get comfortable under the covers and sat down next to her as she started to drift off to sleep.

-At the Town Hall-

Mira, Lisanna, Elfman and Evergreen walked into the town hall and made their way over to the receptionist.

"Hi, we came to deliver our mission report," Mira greeted the receptionist as the group walked up to her desk.

"Welcome back, just a moment's I will go see if the mayor is available," the receptionist said with a smile as she turned and quickly made her way through the door that led to Delmude's office.

Moments later the receptionist reappeared and motioned them to go in. With a quick 'Thanks', the mages made their way into the mayor's office and saw the stocky old man waiting for them with a smile and a stack of papers in his hand.

"Welcome back, I assume that you dealt with the Wyverns," Delmude said as he saw the four mages walk in.

"Wait, where are the other four?" Delmude asked as he saw who entered.

"Natsu took Wendy to an inn, she was exhausted and Freed and Bickslow joined him," Mira explained.

"All right, well as we discussed I have made all the required arrangements for you to start a guild here. As for you miss Evergreen, I will arrange your reward to be prepared, if you would give me a moment please," Delmude said as he started making his way to his desk.

"Sorry sir, but we can't accept a reward since we didn't complete the quest. Mira and her group had already dealt with the Wyverns before we got there," Evergreen declined, not wanting to sully Fairy Tail's name by claiming an undeserved reward.

"All right, but please allow me to compensate you for tonight's stay, take it as my way of thanking you and your team for accepting our quest," Delmude insisted and Evergreen could only smile and accepted his offer.

"Now let's hear your report before I finish up your guild registration forms," Delmude said as he turned to Mira.

"Well, it was easy to find the Wyverns thanks to your directions, and thanks to the information you provided on their colours we were able to devise a strategy to easily deal with all of them. We were able to keep the damage to the surrounding area to a minimum. After we were done with them, that was when we met Evergreen and her team," Mira said.

"Glad to hear it went smoothly, now as we discussed I have the papers here for you to start a guild. The first thing I will need is the name of your new guild and the who the master will be," Delmude said.

"Would you mind if we discuss it with Natsu and come back tomorrow morning?" Mira asked, not wanting to exclude Natsu from this decision.

"No problem, the only other thing is the fee, but I will cover that as part of your reward for completing our quest," Delmude said with a smile.

"Thank you, sir, we will be back tomorrow morning," Mira said as the group left the office and wet to the inn for the night.

"So you are going to start a new guild here?" Evergreen asked as they saw the inn.

"Yeah, we don't really want to join another guild," Lisanna said.

"And you know that it is hard to get mage jobs without a guild," Mira added.

"We will be the manliest guild," Elfman roared, getting a laugh from the girls. The group entered the inn and quickly saw Freed and Bickslow sitting at the bar.

"Hey guys, did you get rooms for us?" Evergreen asked as she approached her two teammates.

"Yeah, Mia, the hostess, said that we can pay in the morning," Freed said as he pointed to Mia who waved in return.

"The mayor said that he would cover our loggings, so we should inform Mia about that," Evergreen said as she moved to where Mia was to inform her of the payment and where she could get it.

"Do you know where Natsu is?" Lisanna asked as she scanned the bar area and didn't see the man she loved.

"He took Wendy to bed and didn't come down yet. I think they are in room three," Freed said as he pointed to the stairs.

Mira and Lisanna went up the stairs as Elfman joined Freed and Bickslow for a drink. Mira and Lisanna made their way up the stairs and to the room where Natsu took Wendy. They softly creaked the door open to see a heart-warming sight. Natsu had fallen asleep while sitting on the bed with Wendy sleeping peacefully in the bed with the biggest smile on her face they ever saw.

"I guess we can wait till tomorrow to talk about the guild name," Lisanna whispered with a warm smile. Mira only nodded as the two closed the door and went down back to the bar.

-The next morning in the mayor's office-

"So have you chosen a name and master?" Delmude asked with a grin as Mira, Elfman, Lisanna and Natsu stood in his office.

"Yes, we have. I will be the master and as for the guild name…" Mira started as she looked at Natsu.

Natsu finished her statement with a grin as he said "Griffin's Haven".

There you have it guys. As I said at the beginning I edited the time between Lisanna coming back and being expelled to flesh out a better reason for Lucy wanting Lisanna gone. Here I wanted to start setting up some events I have planned for the future, but that is all I am going to say here. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and the guild name I decided on, thank you, Raven Strider, for the suggestion on how I should go about naming the guild. I will be continuing with giving Lucy more reasons in more flashbacks, thanks for everyone who criticised me on that and please don't be afraid to give me more constructive criticism in the future, it really helps with bettering the story as a whole. Anyway let me know what you think and I will see you next time.
