Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail or any of its characters they are property of Hiro Masima.

24petitloup:Ouais, ce sera probablement la raison principale, mais je vais m'étendre là-dessus au fur et à mesure que les chapitres se poursuivent et, espérons-le, créer une histoire complète, pas seulement un scénario "c'est arrivé, faites avec".(Yeah, that will probably be the main reason, but I will be expanding on it as the chapters continue and hopefully create a full story, not just an "it happened, deal with it" scenario.)Je ne parle pas français donc j'espère que google translate ne gâche pas ça.

SoundwaveDragon: First of all, awesome name and elemental concept for a Dragon. Second no Sting and Rogue will stay in Sabertooth since I want that conflict of their view on First-generation Dragon Slayers in this story to spice things up a bit when the time comes.

NinjaFang1331: Thank you very much, glad you like it and I hope you like the explanation I give in this chapter for it as well.

NightSlayer04: Glad you like it, I expand on the meaning of the name a bit here as well.

Veldora Dragneel: That is a possibility, but there are a few things that will happen before that can become a focus point.

-In the mayor's office-

"Griffin's Haven," Natsu said with a grin.

"A proud creature and a place for those who seek safety, a wonderful name indeed. Mind telling me why you chose that name?" Delmude asked with a smile.

'Not at all, well due to what happened recently with us, we needed a place we would feel at home. For now, at least we won't be going out and recruiting new members, more so because we need to first get on our feet, but when we eventually do, we want to look for members that had some troubled past, someone like us who needs a home, a safe place with opportunities, a haven," Mira explained with a bright smile.

"As for the Griffin, I always liked them and thought it would sound nice combined with 'Haven'. Also the way I see my siblings and Natsu, and what they did for me, it seemed like something a Griffin would do or Dragon in Natsu's case," Lisanna said with a slight blush and a giggle at the end.

"Seems like you lot went through some troubling events. I won't pester you but know that my door is always open to you if you need someone to talk to with an outside opinion. As for the story behind the name itself, that is a wonderful explanation and I can see how more troubled mages could find solace in a place like that," Delmude smiled.

"Thank you very much, Sir," Mira thanked him with a smile.

"Next thing is the guild mark, have you designed one yet?" Delmude asked.

"Yes, it's a bit rough around the edges but we have the idea," Lisanna said as she handed him a paper.

On the paper was an image of a Griffin with its wings spread out, and upwards, forming a circle above its head. The bottom end of the emblem made it look like the Griffin was standing in a valley of flames.

"Spectacular, if you don't mind I will have someone sharpen out the edges and give it a final run over. Don't worry about it changing though," Delmude said as he looked at the sketch in wonder.

"That would be great, thank you very much," Lisanna said with a happy smile.

"Now that the pleasantries are over, let's get to business. As the future Master, will you come over here and sign the papers next to where I have signed it so that we can get everything in order," Delmude said with a more business-like tone as he grabbed a stack of paper and pen before handing it to Mira.

Mira started going through the stack and signing where it was needed while the rest were all looking over her shoulder with grins on their faces as they were in the process of finalizing their new guild, their new home.

"As we discussed I have already set aside the payment for the formation of the guild as part of the reward for dealing with the Wyverns," Delmude said as he saw Mira reaching the payment part that was already filled in.

"You have truly done so much for us, Sir," Mira said with a bright smile as she completed signing everywhere that was required and handed the stack back to the mayor.

"Think nothing of it my Master Mira," Delmude said with a smile as he pressed a button on his desk and moments later the receptionist came into the office.

"Madelyn, would you please send these documents to the Magic Council for approval?" Delmude asked the receptionist while holding out the stack of papers.

"Of course, Sir," Madelyn replied as she took the papers and swiftly left to send them off.

"Well then, the next order of business is a location for your guildhall. Now I had someone look p adequate locations and here I have them all written down. Please go see which one will suit your needs the best," Delmude said as he gave them a binder with the location.

"Thank you very much for all the help," Lisanna said as the group left and headed to the inn to see if the Thunder Legion and Wendy had woken up yet. Their plan for the day was to say goodbye to the Thunder Legion and Wendy before starting to look for their guildhall location.

-At the inn-

Natsu and the Strauss siblings entered the inn and were met with the waiting faces of the Thunder Legion, each having a smirk.

"Ever here tells us you guys started your own guild," Freed said with a grin happy to see his ex-guildmates found a place to call home.

"Sounds like a great idea for you lot," Bickslow said with a laugh as his dolls chanted "Great idea".

"We wish you all the best, considering the rough end you had at Fairy Tail," Evergreen said with a hint of venom in her voice at the last part. The cheerful mood faltered at the mention of Fairy Tail but Natsu quickly changed the subject.

"Is Wendy up yet?" Natsu asked.

"Not that we know of, we haven't checked on her yet, we only woke up a short while ago," Evergreen said.

"So far the only thing we did was listening to Ever telling us about your plans on forming a guild, since when she got back yesterday… well let's just say they have amazing booze here," Bickslow said with a sheepish smile as his dolls chanted "Blackout drunk".

Mira, Evergreen and Lisanna let out giggles at seeing Freed's embarrassed expression alongside Bickslow's sheepish one while Elfman just tried to avoid everyone, not wanting to be the butt of this joke since he had joined the two in their drinking contests.

Natsu, however, smiled at then and quickly excused himself as he went to the room he took Wendy the night before.

"He really cares for her doesn't he?" Mira asked with a bright smile.

"You should have seen the state she was in since you left. The poor thing kept to herself and Gajeel didn't allow anyone to go near her," Evergreen said with a saddened expression.

"Wait why would Gajeel prevent people from going to Wendy if you said she was down, wouldn't it have helped to have someone there to talk to her?" Lisanna asked.

"It took me a while to realise why he did it, but after I overheard some of the conversations of the guild members that related to Natsu leaving with you I came to understand why Gajeel never allowed them near her, I presume he heard it a lot sooner with his enhanced hearing," Freed said with a mixture of pity and anger on his face.

"What exactly were they saying about Natsu?" Lisanna asked in a careful tone, not wanting to hear anyone saying bad things about Natsu but also wanting to know what the guild's view of him was currently.

"We never really paid much attention to it but it basically revolved around them not believing how he could just up and abandon the guild like that, there were some more specific comments but they concern Natsu directly so I would rather wait for him to be here before discussing that. You can see why we didn't want to hear things like that, considering what really happened, even though we never really knew the truth but we guessed something was up," Bickslow said with a disgusted look on his face as he recalled what the guild said.

"It's not manly to slander someone else behind their back," Elfman said with a frown until a frightened look came over his face, as well as the faces of everyone in the pub.

The group turned to the source of the terrifying aura and saw the enraged face of the Demon Mirajane and a demonic aura surrounding her.

"M-Mira, please calm down, we don't want to destroy the inn," Lisanna squeaked out in fear of the aura her sister was released, she was enraged by the comments Natsu received but ensuring they don't die because of Mira's anger, came first. Mira took a deep breath as the aura around her receded but the enraged look remained on her face.

"What kind of sick minded people would you have to be to turn on him so easily after everything he had done for the guild?" Mira asked through clenched teeth.

"Is it because he followed me?" Lisanna asked herself in a whisper but Mira heard her.

"You don't dare think like that Lisanna. We both know this wasn't because Natsu decided to follow you and we know why he did it," Mira instantly said in an assertive tone before her tone softened at the end. This got a blush from Lisanna and a confused look from the Thunder Legion but the thought of what caused the blush vanished as Elfman started shouting about Fairy Tail not being 'manly'.

"Why don't you go see if Natsu is all right?" Mira suggested quietly to Lisanna, getting a nod in response from her sister before the youngest Strauss made her way up the stairs.

"Tell me everything they have been saying about Natsu, and while you're at it through in anything you heard about the rest of us. They tried to talk bad about my family and I refuse to let it slide," Mira demanded, turning on the Thunder Legion with a dark expression, as soon as Lisanna was out of earshot.

"Okay, okay, but let's go somewhere quieter," Freed said in a scared voice while raising his hands defensively.

-With Natsu just after he left the bar-

Natsu made his way over to the door that led to the room Wendy was in. Once he arrived he knocked on the door and heard a groan coming from the other side of the door. With a smile, he softly opened the door and made his way inside.

"Had a nice sleep?" Natsu softly asked as he took a seat on the bed, a smile forming on his face as he remembered he woke up sitting in the same spot as where he was right now.

"Yes, thank you. So what have you been doing today?" Wendy asked as a yawn escaped from her mouth before she looked at Natsu with a sleepy smile.

"Went to get all the paperwork ready for our guild, now we need to decide where we will have the guildhall," Natsu answered.

"That's great, so you are on your way to getting your new guild underway," Wendy said with a bit more energy as she started to wake up.

"Yeah we are, but the hard part is still to come," Natsu said as his expression turned serious.

"And what's that?" Wendy asked as she tilted her head.

"Getting our name out there, I've seen how things are for small guilds out in the furthest reaches of the country, with me always going far and wide to find Igneel, and the main problem is getting enough jobs. Sure the local town can support the guild, but if the guild wants to grow in any way or even get a better quality of life, requests from other places are required," Natsu explained.

"Oh, I see," Wendy said as she began to understand what Natsu was talking about.

"Yeah, that is the main reason I want you to stay in Fairy Tail for the time being. I want you to be able to go out and train with all of your focus on improving yourself, not spending all your time trying to keep the guild standing. I also want you to be able to live a happy and comfortable life, but starting a guild usually begins pretty low on luxuries," Natsu said whit a loving smile as he patted Wendy on the head.

"It's okay, I think I understand it now. You really seem to have matured a lot since Edolas," Wendy said as she gave Natsu a hug which he returned, before letting out a giggle at the end of her last statement.

"I never notice," Natsu said as he looked down at Wendy.

"She's right you know," Lisanna's voice sounded from the door. Natsu turned to look at her with a loving smile and beckoned her over. Lisanna took a seat next to Natsu, on the opposite side to where Wendy was now sitting, still hugging Natsu.

"So what is this I hear about Wendy joining us in the future?" Lisanna asked as she smiled towards Wendy.

"Well if my little sister wants to be in the same guild as I, who am I to object? The only thing that will say on that matter is that I want the guild to be on its own feet first," Natsu replied with a grin towards Wendy which she returned.

"You see her as your little sister, that's so sweet," Lisanna said with a smile before a small frown came to her face as she remembered what Bickslow just told her.

"Everything okay Lisanna?" Natsu asked as she turned his attention to her once he saw the frown.

"It's nothing," Lisanna said as she forced a smile, not wanting the happiness she saw between Natsu and Wendy to be soured b what Fairy Tail had said about him.

"You know you can tell me anything right?" Natsu asked with concern in his voice and eyes.

"Yeah, thanks. Maybe we can talk about it later," Lisanna said dismissively. Not liking the tension that arose in the area Wendy decided to change the subject.

"So what is the name of your guild?" Wendy asked, getting a thankful smile from Lisanna and a bright look from Natsu.

"Griffin's Haven, we want it to be a place where people can find a true home," Lisanna explained.

"And once there are enough requests for the guild to grow, you will be the first one to know," Natsu said with his usual grin.

"That's a very nice name," Wendy smiled back. Suddenly a growling sound could be heard and Wendy's cheeks lit up.

"Sounds like someone is hungry," Lisanna said with a smile as she looked at Wendy.

"Let's go get breakfast, then we can take a walk through town before you have to go," Natsu said as he got up and offered both his hands, one for each girl still sitting on the bed.

Both girls smiled up at Natsu as they accepted his hands and he pulled them to their feet. The three went down to the pub area and quickly made their way over to the bar counter.

"So what can I get the three of you?" Mia asked while presenting a menu with a small selection of breakfast, as the three sat down.

"Can I please get the pancakes with syrup?" Wendy asked as soon as she spotted the option on the menu.

"Sure thing, and how about the two of you?" Mia asked Natsu and Lisanna.

"We already had breakfast earlier, so maybe just a cup of coffee for me please," Lisanna said.

"Do you have any flammable drink?" Natsu asked.

"You mean like something really hot?" Mia asked with a confused look.

"No, see I'm a Fire Dragon Slayer, and that means I can eat fire. I love the taste of a good fire so if you have any drink that you can light on fire that would be great," Natsu explained.

"Ah, quite the unique taste, but I'll see what I can conjure up," Mia said with a smile as she went into the kitchen to prepare their orders. The three started to look around the pub to see where the Thunder Legion, Mira and Elfman were.

"I don't see them anywhere around here. They were here a few moments ago, just before I went up the stairs," Lisanna said as they failed to spot the group.

"From their scent, they have already left. Guess they had something to do," Natsu said and shrugged his shoulders.

"We can go look for them once we finish with breakfast," Lisanna said.

"Do you know how your guild mark will look?" Wendy asked, wanting to know everything about the guild her big brother was forming and the one she will be joining before long.

"Yeah, it's really cool, with a Griffin standing in a valley of flames," Natsu replied excitedly while Lisanna giggled at his child-like wonder.

"Here is the rough sketch," Lisanna said as he handed Wendy a paper with the guild mark on it, similar to the one they gave the mayor this morning.

"I can't wait to see how this will look when it's on the guild member's bodies," Wendy said with a sparkle in her eyes.

"We also have an idea as to how we want the guildhall to look like but it's just the style since we don't know where it's going to be," Lisanna said as she took out another piece of paper from her pocket.

Wendy looked at what was on the paper and couldn't help but allow a smile to form on her lips as just the idea was enough to make her imagine what it would feel like to return to a safe home after a mission.

On the paper, there was a building that looked like a mountain cottage, built into the side of a mountain with dark brown wooden walls and a dark green roof. The bulky window frames and large double doors gave it the feeling that it was standing there for a long time and Wendy could almost smell the scent of a fire that she imagined always burning inside the guildhall.

Wendy went into a rant about how beautiful and homey it looked, showering Lisanna with praise for coming up with such a wonderful looking place while Natsu just sat back and observed the two girls. Once Wendy finished her song of praise Mia returned with a plate of pancakes for Wendy and a mug of coffee for Lisanna.

"Here you go you two, and don't worry mister Fire, I think I got just the thing you were looking for," Mia said as she placed the girls' orders in front of them before reaching under the counter and putting a glass on the table. She then grabbed a black stone and placed it in the glass.

"We call this a flamed stone. It's a stone found on the mountains around here that, when lit, produces a liquid. Usually, we wait for the fire to die out before serving the drink but since you wanted something with fire, I thought this might work," Mia explained as she formed a small flamed on her fingertip before sending it into the glass.

Natsu, Wendy and Lisanna watched in wonder as the stone lit up in a beautiful cerulean blue flame and the black outer layer of the evaporated, revealing a light green stone.

"The outer layer protects the inner stone. Of you cut or crush the stone, the green colour immediately turns black, and the only way to see it is if the stone is lit on fire," Mia explained with an amused smile when she saw the wonder in the three mages' eyes.

The three watched in fascination as a blood-red liquid pooled at the bottom of the glass, filling it as the stone burnt out. Once the stone was completely burnt up the flame turned pure white.

"There you go, our town's signature drink, with a twist. The 'Liquid Flame' with pure white flames to top it off," Mia said with a smirk as she pushed the glass towards Natsu.

"That was awesome," Natsu said as he reached for the glass and lifted it towards his lips. Once he felt the liquid and flame touching his tongue his eyes lit up.

"This is one of the best fire's I've ever tasted, second only to Igneel's flames. And the drink itself is so refreshing, I feel like I can take on a Dragon right now," Natsu said with wide, sparkling eyes.

"Glad to hear you like it, and mind if I ask who this Igneel is?" Mia asked with a hearty laugh.

"Igneel's my dad, the Fire Dragon King, but sadly he disappeared seven years ago and I haven't found him yet," Natsu said with a downcast expression, Wendy giving Natsu a sympathetic look since she could relate.

"A Dragon you say, not sure if you already looked but there is a legend in this town of a Dragon, though the newer generation doesn't know it due to the Dragon not being seen for centuries. Anyway, the legend goes that there is a Dragon who commands Darkness, first thought to be evil the founders of our town went to off the beast. Once they arrived though they were ambushed by a horde of Wyverns. Half the party was wiped out within seconds but before the Wyverns could launch their next attack which would have surely killed all who survived the first strike, darkness descended on the valley they were in. This was strange since the sun was still high up in the sky yet none of them could see a thing. They could only hear the screeches of the Wyverns as something brutally maimed them. Then all went silent. The darkness was lifted and replaced by the midday light. All around the townsfolk were the bodies of the Wyverns. A shocked gasp came from one of the people as they pointed to the mountain where they saw the retreating figure of a dark Dragon. They knew they owed their lives to that Dragon. Even though the town was named 'Kodokuna Yama', or 'Lonely Mountain', it was given a second name, one not used often, that name is 'Yami o Sukuu' or 'Saving Darkness', in honour of the dark Dragon that saved the founders," Mia said.

"That definitely isn't Igneel since he is a giant red Dragon, but maybe this Dragon knows where Igneel might be. Do you know where to find it?" Natsu asked Mia with a hint of urgency in his voice.

"I'm sorry, but no. No one has ever seen the Dragon since and there wasn't any concrete direction into which mountain hosts its lair," Mia answered.

"Natsu, didn't you say you came to this town because of a rumour about Igneel possibly being here?" Lisanna asked, hoping that whatever that rumour was, it might help them find this Dragon.

"Yeah, but that rumour led to a Wyvern, not the ones we dealt with but still it was a dead end and it never mentioned any dark Dragon. But no use in moping about the past," Natsu said with a saddened tone before brightening up and taking another sip of his drink.

Lisanna smiled at Natsu's attitude and Wendy smiled, knowing he would always search for their parents, just like he said the first time they met. The group finished their meals and were getting ready to go find Mira, Elfman and the Thunder Legion when, said group, entered the tavern.

"Where have you guys been? You have to try this amazing drink they have here and have you heard about the legend of this town?" Natsu asked quick three questions with a smile as he waved at them to come over.

"We just had a little chat," Mira said in a tone that warned the three not to bring that subject up right now.

"What's this drink you were talking about?" Freed quickly asked, not wanting to experience the terrifying look and aura Mira let off once they told her the things Fairy Tail said about them.

"They call it 'Liquid Fire', it's really amazing and the flame on top of it is almost as good as the flames Igneel made," Natsu said with a twinkle in his eye.

"That sound like a manly drink," Elfman said which got a laugh from everyone. Lisanna moved over to Mira as everyone else huddled around Natsu and asked about this legend he mentioned.

"Everything all right Mira?" Lisanna asked, having gotten used to the sweet Mira in comparison to her rebellious ad gothic teen phase.

"Don't worry about it right now, I'll tell you later okay?" Mira said as she took a deep breath and regained her usual smile.

"All right then," Lisanna said as the two sisters looked at Natsu telling the legend Mia just told them, but adding his own spark to it by using erratic hand movements to emphasise the tale. A giggle escaped both their lips and a pleasant mood descended on the tavern with Natsu being the source, his excitement quickly spreading to everyone as his movements drew the attention of all the patrons of the bar.

"You can see how he can just lift the spirits of everyone around him. Back at Fairy Tail, it's obvious that he was the life of the guild. Everything is a lot plainer there now," Freed said as he walked over to the two sisters.

"Well, it's their loss, not that they care it seems," Mira said, grumbling the last part so no one could hear.

"Anyway, I think it's time we return to the guild, with the events that are coming up we don't want to be absent," Freed said as he motioned for the rest of the Thunder Legion that it was time to leave.

"What events are happening now?" Wendy asked as she got up, seeing the Thunder Legion preparing to leave.

"Oh yeah, you haven't been in the guild long enough to know, well the S-Class promotion trials are coming up," Freed said.

"Yeah, and the master chooses who goes based on a lot of criteria, but most mages use this time to rush through jobs to get the upper hand while some just sit around and do nothing since they don't strive for S-Class," Bickslow said while his dolls chanted, "We're gonna work hard".

A look of hurt flashed over Natsu's face for a second that only Mira and Lisanna saw. Lisanna and Mira knew that it was because of how he thought that if he could become S-Class, he would be able to find Igneel, a goal he had since he joined but now that step vanished.

Anger rose in Mira once again, the same anger she felt when the Thunder Legion said what the guild was saying about them but she kept it under wraps this time, not showing it to the outside world.

Lisanna felt a great pity for Natsu and vowed she would do all she could to help him I finding Igneel.

"Well I guess it's time we say goodbye, don't want to keep you all here, and Freed, if I were to choose, you would be the one to win the trials, and follow in Laxus' footsteps of becoming S-Class, but please don't go crazy and attack the guild," Natsu said with a serious tone at the start before grinning and saying the last part in a playful tone.

"That means a lot Natsu, I will become S-Class and bring honour to the Thunder Legion," Freed said with a smile, glad to have the support of Natsu. Natsu and The Strauss siblings walked to the entrance of the town with the Thunder Legion and Wendy. While they were walking Wendy kept close to Natsu with her and holding on to his shit the entire way, getting a sweet smile from Lisanna.

"Well then, we wish you guys the best and feel free to come and visit in a few weeks once we have everything up and running here," Mira said once they reached the entrance of the town.

"It's not manly to forget true friends," Elfman said with a grin.

"See you all soon and the best to you," Evergreen said.

"We will always be there if you need help,' Freed said with a smile.

"See you later," Bickslow said as his dolls chanted "See you".

"Bye-bye big Brother," Wendy said as she hugged Natsu. The Thunder Legion, Mira and Elfman were shocked by how Wendy addressed Natsu but decided not to ask now and give then their little moment while Lisanna had a happy smile.

"Grow strong and make me proud my little Dragonesses," Natsu whispered in her ear as he returned the hug.

With that said the group left and the members of the soon to be Griffin's Haven smiled, knowing they still had some friends left from their previous lives. They turned around and looked at the town that would host their new lives.

"There are a lot of things we have to talk about, but nothing to worry about," Mira said as she turned to Natsu, adding the last part when she saw he had an alarmed expression.

"That's good, but can it wait for later, then we can look at the location for our new guildhall before the day is over, Master?" Natsu suggested with a grin as he addressed Mira by her new title.

"Sure, but don't you dare start calling me Master and that goes for the rest of you as well. The four of us are a family," Mira said with a grin as the group followed her to the first location the mayor gave them.

Well, there you have it, sorry for the late post. So yeah this chapter didn't have any action or such and I mainly focused on Natsu and Wendy. Also, I started building up events I am planning in the future. I know I said this story will only go to the GMG, but I might go even further and I will also be putting at least an arc or two in here for, during the time skip, I haven't decided on how much things there will be though. Next chapter on the Fairy Tail side of things the selection for the S-Class trials will be happening, feel free to suggest people that weren't selected in the Anime since Natsu and Elfman aren't going to be chosen. I will be expanding on how Fairy Tail is faring without Natsu and the Strauss siblings in the next chapter and what effects their leaving are having on the guild. As for the reasons Lucy would have for trying to get Lisanna kicked out, they will be developed throughout the story but by the tie they return from the time skip in Fairy Sphere it will be all in the open. As for what the Thunder Legion said that made Mira so anger, next chapter I will start expanding on it. Anyway, feel free to leave a review with your thoughts and see you in the next one.
