Neb: Problem fixed I think. There may be a few missing sentences, but I managed to google most of it. I do not own Bleach.
The Soul Reaper Nowane headed through town with the spirit girl. They didn't speak for a while, the girl was still being shy. Nowane didn't press. He figured that the girl would speak up to him when she was ready. Still he couldn't help but ponder his mission. This was suppose to be a simple scouting mission, and yet he ran into three Hollows whom maintained their sentience and fought in a group. What also didn't add up was the Buffalo's knowledge of Soul Reapers. There had been several Soul Reapers assigned to protect this town in the past. Including a Substitute Soul Reaper who lives in this town. As you can imagine it was quite baffling that the Buffalo Hollow had lived long enough to get information on Soul Society. Why did this town have a history of attracting evil spirits? At first Soul Society assumed after defeating Aizen the Hollow activity would decrease, but that was not the case. There must be another puppet master pulling the strings of these Hollows. But who and why?
"My name is Yui," the spirit girl finally spoke up. "Yui Hiro."
"What is your unfinished business Yui Hiro?", Nowane replied.
"I need to make sure my Older brother can move on without me," she explained. "His name is Kimito. He goes to the High School down this street."
"It can take a long time for a human to go through all the stages of grief," Nowane admitted. "Especially from losing a sibling. Especially from losing a sibling as young as you. I have no doubt your brother is going over in his head how he was suppose to protect you."
"That's why I'm worried about him," she whispered.
"Do you see that chain on your chest,"Nowain questioned her.
She nodded at him.
"That chain determines how long you have before you turn into a Hollow," he continued. "Meaning you don't have enough time to wait on your brother. It may take him his entire life time before he finally moves on and you could only have a few days."
"I just want to see if he's ok," she cried. "What's wrong with that?"
Nowane felt bad for her. She really wasn't ready to move on. He was about to say something he thought would be comforting. However, he felt a nearby energy that took his focus away from the conversation.
"I sense a strong spiritual pressure," Nowane spoke up.
"Head down that alleyway," Nowane ordered. "Don't come out until I call for you." The girl did as he commanded her. Nowane Stepped forward as his eyes darted left and right. He then jumped back as an arrow hit the ground in front of him.
"Mind explaining what you are doing in this town Soul Reaper," a man with glasses and dressed in white spoke up.
"My business does not concern a Quincy," Nowane growled. "Leave now or face repentance for your interference."
"Exactly what am I interfering in?", the Quincy pressed.
"I told you to back off," Nowane repeated. He drew one of his short Zanpakto.
"I am Uryu Ishida," the Quincy introduced himself. "I protect this town. If you wish to run your investigation uninterrupted. Then I expect you to show more manners."
"Last chance to stand down," Nowane Ordered. "Lower your weapon or face my blade."
"I don't take kindly to threats," Uryu explained while adjusting his glasses.
"I don't take kindly to people who shoot first and ask questions second," Nowane Retorted.
"If I wanted to shoot you directly," Uryu began. "You'd be shot."
Nowane couldn't waiste time with this punk anymore. He's already protecting Yui and he's on a tight schedule to report back to Soul Society his findings. Of course he hasn't really found anything yet. All he has is theories.
"I'll ask again," Uryu spoke up. "What business does a Soul Reaper have in this town? What squad do you work for?"
"I am not obligated to answer you," Nowane responded coldly. He pulled out his second blade and crossed them like he did fighting the Hollows. "Now bare your fangs, Okamitsuin!" His swords transformed into the tooth like hook blades.
He then charged at the Quincy.
