NinjaFan1331: Thank you.

NightSlayer04: Thank you, and I hope you will enjoy this chapter as well.

arata7kasuga: I hope that the way I will have the OC's only play a smaller role will not deter you from the story, I know that some stories where OC's start taking over can be alienating and I hope I will not be doing that here.

Kriim-Sauce786: Your review gave me some fun ideas for comedy in future chapters, maybe I will be able to fit them into the story. We will have to wait for the GMG Arc where Fairy Tail has returned to see if Lucy's magic truly changed and how :)

Namida Kurokami: So the last part of your review is addressed in this chapter, as for Lucy's action during the GMG Arc, well there will be some revelations before then but that is all I have to say about that.

-With Evergreen-

Evergreen was running through the wooded area of Tenrou Island. Her destination, the small campsite where those who were already eliminated from the trial could wait until the end. The sounds of fighting reached her ears while she was closing in on the camp. Concerned that this was a fight at the camp, Evergreen quickly sprinted towards the battlefield.

Water splashed around her feet as she came to an area with a few broken trees, providing a larger clearing that was covered with a layer of water, where three individuals were currently staring one another down. On the one side, Juvia and Panther Lily, both with visible cuts on their body with Lily donning his large sword in his battle form while Juvia had water whips where her arms should be. Opposed to them there was a small child, a pink-haired girl with an almost robotic expression and strange, teal-coloured magical blades surrounding her.

"Number nine, Juvia Lockser and number twelve, Panther Lily are proving to be resilient. More drastic action required to complete the mission," Meredy said in her monotone voice. More teal blades formed around Meredy as her eyes narrowed. She slowly raised her hands towards the two Fairy Tail mages.

"Fairy Machine Gun: Leprechaun" Evergreen called out, not allowing the Grimoire mage to release her large floating arsenal of teal-coloured blades at the already injured Fairy Tail mages. The barrage of energy needles made contact with the ground surrounding the pink-haired girl, resulting in an explosion.

"Number eight, Evergreen. The situation became more troublesome" Meredy said as she glared at the newcomer as she skidded to a stop after jumping away from the explosion.

"Are the two of you all right?" Evergreen asked, not taking her eyes off of the enemy.

"Juvia is finding this battle difficult since Juvia's water body is not enough for Juvia to dodge her blades," Juvia said with a concerned expression as her hand reformed and drifted to a cut on her arm.

"She is a formidable foe, but I believe with three of us we will be able to overcome her," Panther Lily said, his sword levelled at the girl.

"Numbers eight, nine and twelve will prove no obstacle, quick elimination required before searching higher priority targets," Meredy said seemingly to herself.

"What is up with this stupid number thing and why am I only at eight?" Evergreen asked, a little irritated that this girl wouldn't even consider the true Queen of the Fairies in the top five.

"Juvia doesn't know but she continues to refer to us like that while talking as if she is filling out a report," Juvia said, once more morphing her arms into watery whips.

"The numbers are the priority of the targets," Meredy answered as she summoned a new set of blades and started to fan them out across the clearing.

"And why would you only consider me at number eight, seems like you are underestimating me," Evergreen said as she opened her fan and sent a dangerous glare at the girl from behind it, her hand slowly moving upwards in case she needed to use her eye magic.

"Threat level deemed higher than number eight Juvia Lockser and lower than number seven Bickslow," Meredy answered before thrusting her hand forward, calling out "Maguilty Sodom". The blades all converged on the three mages. Panther Lily used his large blade to deflect as many of them as he could, with only one managing to make a small cut on his thigh.

Juvia countered the blades by calling out "Water Slicer", sending multiple blades of water to destroy the teal swords. Evergreen spread her arms out, facing away from the other Fairy Tail mages before calling her spell "Fairy Guardian: Golem". The same figure that had blocked Erza's attack earlier. This time the results were much more favourable for her though with her spell successfully blocking all the blades that came her way.

"Seems like you misplaced me," Evergreen taunted with a smirk as she effortlessly blocked the strange swords.

"Number eight Evergreen was placed correctly. All those above her are deemed a greater threat. Number six Freed Justine, Number five Cana Alberona, Number four Erza Scarlet, Number three Gildarts Clive, Number two Makarov Dreyar," Meredy said, pausing after Makarov as her face contorted to one of rage.

"Who the hell would you place above the Master?" Ever shouted in surprise. Makarov was the fifth Wizard Saint and the only other person who could compete against him in the guild was Gildarts, who this girl had deemed number three on her little list.

"Number one, Grey Fullbuster. He is the highest priority target who must be eliminated in the most painful way possible for what he did to Ultear," Meredy shouted in absolute rage multiple teal blades blasting from her in all directions as an answer to the anger she felt.

Panther Lily and Evergreen immediately took defensive stances, ready to once again defend against the energy blades that had the ability to enhance pain receptors and increase the pain from being struck by one of them.

Before the blades came within reach of the two mages, the water that surrounded their feet exploded upwards, forming a wall of raging water. The wall of water rushed outwards, leaving destroyed brushes and tree trunks in its wake.

As the wave subsided, Meredy was revealed to have been pushed into a tree with a startled expression, an expression mimicked by Evergreen and Panther Lily. Slowly the three surprised mages turned to look at the source of a disturbing magical presence that seemed to sprout from nothing.

There they saw a figure, shrouded in a deep blue, almost black aura, with the aura having tendrils lashing out, the water surrounding this figure constantly spiked upwards in vicious looking skewers. Two glowing red, rage-filled eyes stared out from underneath the mat of blue hair.

"Juvia will not allow anyone to harm her beloved Gray. You will pay dearly for your transgressions, and Juvia will be the one to deliver your punishment," Juvia said in a bone-chilling voice. A heavy downpour of rain suddenly covered the area concentrated around the murderous figure of Juvia.

"Juvia are you all right?" Evergreen carefully asked, not wanting to turn the anger onto herself.

"Juvia will be the one to deal with this insolent brat, she must know not to threaten Juvia's beloved," Juvia answered, her voice not changing and instilling a bit of fear in the Fairy Tail mage, even if that tone is not directed towards her.

"What is wrong with her?" Meredy asked as she forced her expression to return to a more collected one.

"I have heard Gajeel talking about this. Juvia is someone who you don't want to anger," Panther Lily said as fear could be seen entering his eyes as he recalled some of his conversations with Gajeel.

"Now prepare to die," Juvia said as the water skewers that surrounded her sprung to life, quickly closing in on Meredy. "Maguilty Sodom" Meredy cried out to counter the spikes of water. The teal blades had barely formed before being destroyed by the raging water. A cry escaped Meredy as she was sent flying like a ragdoll.

"It would seem like she has this under control," Panther Lily said, the fear that was in his eyes migrating to his voice as well as he reverted out of his battle form.

"Erza ordered me to signal the 'Fall back and Regroup' flare, so once you are done here, return to base camp," Evergreen shouted to the woman who slowly walked towards the pinkette, her steps seemingly broken and ragged.

With a quick nod to Panther Lily, Evergreen and the Exceed dashed towards the campsite. They arrived at the empty campsite, confirming a fear Evergreen had. Everywhere on the island, Grimoire Heart mages were engaging in battle with the Fairies.

Evergreen quickly ran to the tent and rummage through the chest inside to find the flare while Panther Lily stood guard outside. A surprise attack, while she was not focusing on her surroundings, would be problematic.

Soon the two stood in the camp and watched as the deep yellow colour of the flare lit up the sky. It wasn't long before two more mages arrived. Gajeel was running towards the camp, in his arms was an injured Levy.

"Help her now," Gajeel ordered as he handed the injured bluenette over to Evergreen before spinning on his heels and facing an unknown foe.

"What's going on Gajeel?" Panther Lily asked his Dragon Slayer partner as he drew his sword and grew into his battle form.

"A freak is approaching us, he got a decent hit on Levy," Gajeel growled out as a chuckled filled the campsite.

While the two males were preparing themselves, Evergreen placed Levy on a mat inside the tent. She was surprised to see the large gash on the woman's arm and the few drops of blood leaking from a headwound. Having already found the first aid kit while she was searching for the flare. She quickly started applying a band-aid to the girl's wounds.

"Oh the symphony of your demise fills my ears with such jubilant joy," a male voice sounded from outside.

"You deserve a severe beating, and now that the shrimp is safe, I can cut loose," Gajeel growled back at the newcomer. "Iron Dragon Roar" Gajeel called out from outside the tent, signalling the start of the battle. Evergreen quickly finished applying the band-aid before leaving Levy on a sleeping mat to recover.

Over the next fifteen minutes, most of the Fairy Tail mages arrived at the campsite, all of them falling back while battling an enemy mage. The only mages who were still unaccounted for were Master Makarov, Gildarts, Gray, Juvia and Wendy, the last one causing Evergreen a large amount of concern, though she couldn't focus too much on that since they were facing off against four of the Seven Kin of Purgatory, with Ultear, Meredy and Zancrow still being absent.

The battling mages were in all states, ranging from severely injured such as Cana, who took a devastating attack from Capricorn when Lucy and Loki were knocked down by Kain or Levy who had suffered a devastating blow from Rustyrose who took her out of commission for the time being while Bickslow and Freed were practically uninjured, with Ultear quickly disappearing soon after their initial engagement and the flare being shot up. Most of the other Fairy Tail mages were still in fighting form, Lucy and Evergreen had taken up a more defensive stance to prevent the injured mages from suffering any more damage while Carla was watching over them. The Seven Kin of Purgatory members were in much better shape than some of the mages, with numerous minor injuries and scrapes littering their forms from the pesky flies.

A pulse of dark magic suddenly flooded the island, disappearing soon after and causing two distinct reactions. The Fairy Tail mages had looks of disgust mixed with fear while the Grimoire Heart mages' faces contorted to ones of victory and joy.

"Do you feel that, the amazing power of Lord Zeref?" Capricorn asked with a gleeful grin.

"Soon your tale will be over and our legacy will rise from the ashes," Rustyrose proclaimed in a dramatic tone, his arms spread wide and a massive smile on his face.

"We will win," Kain said, slamming a foot on the ground causing a slight tremor.

"A world only for mages will undoubtedly provide a few good fights," Azuma stated.

A massive tremor shook the island, causing the smirks on the Grimoire Heart mages' faces to grow.

"Master Hades and Bluenote seemed to have succeeded in dealing with Makarov and Gildarts," Capricorn noted before his attention returned to the Fairy Tail mages.

"I refuse to believe your lies, Master Makarov and Gildarts would not fall so easily. And it is time we show you the consequences of making an enemy of Fairy Tail," Erza roared out her battle cry before the confrontation returned in full force.

-With Natsu-

An uneasy feeling crept into Natsu's stomach as he concentrated on his emotions, trying to gain complete control over the strange crimson flames. Something terrible will soon happen, he just knew it.

Stopping his training for the day, Natsu got up and descended down the mountainside. As the uneasy feeling grew his pace increase until he was sprinting towards the guildhall. Natsu burst through the doors with a wild look in his eyes.

"What happened Natsu?" Lisanna asked as soon as the Dragon Slayer dashed through the door from her spot on a couch near the fireplace.

"Where's Mira and Elfman?" Natsu instantly asked, urgency and concern in his voice as he frantically looked around the room.

"Calm down Natsu, they are both in Mira's office discussing a job Elfman was on," Lisanna said as she got up and approached the distressed Dragon Slayer. Natsu didn't give her a chance before he dashed to Mira's office door, nearly barrelling it off its hinges as he stormed in.

"Natsu?" Mira exclaimed in surprise as the door swung open with considerable force.

"It's not manly to interrupt a meeting," Elfman declared in his usual manner though his heart rate was quite high due to the sudden intrusion.

"Everyone's okay," Natsu breathed out once he saw the other two Strauss siblings. He slumped against a wall, relief flooding his mind at seeing his family safe, though a frown soon formed on his forehead and worry entered his eyes.

"Natsu what's going on?" Mira asked just as Lisanna entered the office.

"I-I don't know. Something is wrong, my instincts are screaming at me that something is happening to someone close to me, I just don't know what's going on," Natsu said as he stood up and stared out the window.

"We're all perfectly fine here Natsu, no one is here to hurt us," Lisanna said in a loving tone as she embraced the destressed man. Feeling her arms comfortably wrapped around him Natsu started to calm down as his mind started to clear allowing him to think more clearly and determine what could cause this feeling.

-With Fairy Tail-

As the battle raged on as two new magical signatures presented themselves to the scarred campsite. From the surrounding treeline, two figures walked out, one having a distinct long ponytail while the other sported a long grey beard and a metallic helmet.

"I commend you fairies for lasting this while. Usually, when four of my Seven Kin fight together not even a hundred mages can stand up to them let alone ten measly Fairies, though it would seem like two of you are already down," Hades commented, his eyes drifting to Levy and Cana's beaten forms near the end of his words, accompanied with a vicious smirk.

"Grimoire Chains" Hades called out, sending multiple chains from his hand towards the Fairies. Erza was the first one to react to the sudden attack, calling out "Re-quip: Heaven Wheel Armour", donning her silver armour set before sending her arsenal of swords to counter the chains. Hades, however, simply supplied more chains to his attack, quickly overwhelming the number of swords Erza had.

All the Fairy Tail mages who had some sort of defensive spells quickly formed up and prepared to cast them, but unfortunately, they were too slow for the speed of Hades' attack. Mere moments before the chains could make contact with the closest set of mages another shout came from close by.

"Ice-Make: Shield" Gray's voice rang out and an icy shield sprouted from the ground just in time to take the brunt of the attack. Even though it wasn't strong enough to completely stop the chains, it caused them to slow down enough for the Fairy Tail mages to complete their defensive spells, rendering the attack ultimately infective.

"Gray" Erza was the first to call out the mage's name, followed by all the attention turning to him. Hades gained a scowl once he saw who was with the ice mage while Bluenote's eyes lit up once again in anticipation.

"Master" came Lucy's relieved shout quickly followed by Evergreen calling out Gildart's name.

"You dare flee from me only to attack my children Hades?" Makarov boomed in anger.

"Seems like you are more resilient than I gave you credit for boy. But no matter, soon the rest of the Seven Kin of Purgatory will join us and I will personally ensure that you will be the last to die here," Hades growled out.

"Juvia will have to argue that point," Juvia said as she walked into the area, cuts littering her skin but a look of victory in her eyes.

"So the little squirt failed in taking you down, told her that silly list was stupid," a mad cackle sounded as yet another figure came into the clearing, though this one was dragging something.

Zancrow moved into the clearing dragging someone behind him before he slung his arm forward, sending the person he was dragging rolling to the Fairy Tail mages.

The first emotion the Fairy Tail mages felt was shock, quickly morphing into rage as they saw the small form of their blue-haired Dragon Slayer come to a halt in front of them. Wendy was covered in burns and scars littered her small form, her clothes were ripped and blood seeped through the fabric as well as her head causing her hair to clump together.

'Wendy," a distressed voice called out before a white missile shot towards the injured girl. Carla was next to Wendy in seconds, trying to determine exactly what happened to her friend. She sent a deadly glare at the newest addition to the Grimoire mages that had arrived at the battlefield.

Evergreen was the next person at Wendy's side, her shaking hands hovering over the girl, her eyes filled with sorrow, guilt, and concern. She shifted her eyes to the monster that did this to Wendy before her eyes became clouded in rage.

"Fairy Bomb: Gremlin" Evergreen shouted as small dust particles surrounded Zancrow before an explosion erupted. This reignited the battle between the guilds, Fairy Tail now fighting with a lot more savagery after seeing Wendy's condition while Grimoire Heart provided much greater resistance with the addition of their Master, Ace, and another Kin.

The battle that erupted was much more ferocious, Fairy Tail now had another reason to despise the dark guild. Having them invade their sacred lands and being a dark guild was one thing, but now with the state Wendy was in, adding to the already high resentment after Cana and Levy's situation restored their vigour and spells were cast with much more power behind them. The Fairy Tail mages almost started to forget their unspoken rule of not killing others.

While the Grimoire Heart guild was attempting to kill the Fairy Tail mages, that was only secondary to reawakening Zeref to lead them into a new world, the Ultimate Magic World. Though there is one being who has no ulterior goal, nothing to take its attention from pure death and destruction, nothing in its mind that might take precedence, and unfortunately for the mages on Tenrou Island, this being was near, being attracted to the power of Zeref along with the large amount of magic being thrown on the island.

The enraged Fairies and the bemused Grimoire mages were too enthralled in their war against one another that none of them noticed the newest being appearing high in the sky, no one saw the powerful body of the being and no one was able to see the massive amount of magical energy accumulating in its maw.

They say that even enemies who have fought for a long time can come together to face a threat that will undo everything either side has worked for. Fairy Tail and Grimoire Heart found themselves in a situation like this when they build-up of magical power in the air overpowering even the guild masters' magical pressure. All eyes travelled upwards, falling on the dark form in the sky, the form of the Apocalypse, the terrifying form of Acnologia.

Seemingly forgetting about their respective enemies, the mages of each guild quickly grouped up, preparing any form of defensive magic at their disposal as the Dragon of the Apocalypse reached its desired level of power it had built up. In a deafening roar, a beam of destructive magical energy barrelled down on the Island.

-With Doranbolt-

The day had been far from a pleasant one for Doranbolt. It started wonderfully with him successfully having infiltrated Fairy Tail's S-Class trial. Though his foe in the first trial was Gildarts, it played perfectly into his plan. He wanted to be eliminated in the first round so that he could snoop all over the island, but having a mage of Gildart's calibre throwing a spell at you isn't something anyone would envy. Regardless, his loss was as planned, but not according to his plan, he was not planning on being knocked unconscious for a while.

His second victory of the day was when he felt that dark power, the power belonging to Zeref. Being in the council and an enforcement unit, Doranbolt had come into contact with a few artefacts of Zeref that they had confiscated from dark guilds, so this wasn't the first time he felt that disturbing dark power.

Doranbolt had gone searching for the source of the dark power when he came into contact with two Fairy Tail mages conversing with a group of Grimoire mages. He thought he had struck the jackpot, catching them in the act of allying with a dark guild, one of the three pillars of the Balam Alliance, nonetheless.

The first bad turn of the day was when he realised that Fairy Tail wasn't in league with a dark guild. The council ships that followed him here was quickly blown up before the Grimoire mages attacked them. He was separated from everyone and once again knocked unconscious momentarily.

This time when he woke up he was surrounded by grunts. Not wanting to engage in a solo fight, Doranbolt had teleported away, quickly arriving at the wreckages of the council ships where he was relieved to find most of the council forces alive, with Lahar organising the medical aid for the injured forces.

His report brought about a moral dilemma. Lahar was quick to suggest informing the council of Grimoire Heart and Zeref being on the island and the council would surely authorise an Etherion blast to eliminate them. If this was just the dark guild, Doranbolt wouldn't have objected but even though Fairy Tail was a problematic guild, the good they had done couldn't be denied. To kill innocent mages who had performed so much good didn't sit right with him.

Doranbolt was prepared to take the communications lacrima and try and persuade Fairy Tail to abandon the Island, but his plan was abruptly halted when a dark and terrifying being appeared.

"A-Acnologia," Doranbolt breathed the name of the dreaded Dragon as his eyes were glued to the Dragon in the sky.

"What is that beast doing here," Lahar shouted in shock and anger.

The council enforcement units all stared at the Dragon in shock. Never have they seen a Dragon and knowing the terrifying tale of the Dragon that destroys all in its path along with seeing it was more than they would ever want to experience.

"No, It's going to destroy them all," Doranbolt shouted as he saw the magic power accumulating in the beast's mouth. Before he could activate his magic, Lahar slapped a pair of magic cancelling cuffs on him.

"You have to let me save them," Doran bolt begged as he tried to loosen the cuffs.

"I'm sorry Doranbolt, but I will not allow you to through your life away like this," Lahar said in a steady voice, concern in his eyes as he held a comforting hand on the man's shoulder.

A blinding light erupted from the Dragon's maw as raw destructive magical power barrelled down on the island. Massive waves surged from where the island once stood, now consumed by an ever-expanding blast of destructive magic. Soon the shockwave from the explosion reached the remnants of the council fleet, rocking the still floating ships and nearly causing it to capsize.

Once the turbulent ocean calmed down enough for the council ships to stop swaying violently, Doranbolt and Lahar looked at where Tenrou Island should be. What they saw shocked them to the core. A gaping hole in the ocean was all that was left of Tenrou Island. The Black Dragon of the Apocalypse had completely annihilated the sacred island of the Fairy Tail guild.

Their eyes slowly panned upwards, where they saw the Black Dragon. It was hovering over the hole in the ocean, marvelling at its destructive power. Doranbolt felt a drip of fear enter his mind at the thought of the monster turning its sight on them but was surprised when it let out a deafening roar before flying away over the blue ocean.

"I think we should report back to the council on what happened here, then someone will have to deliver the news to the remaining Fairy Tail members," Lahar said once he overcame his shock and fear.

"W-Would it be possible that I deliver this message, it would feel wrong to let someone else do it?" Doranbolt shakily asked.

"I'll be there with you, we can report to the council while we travel back then we can go directly to them once we dock," Lahar answered.

-Griffin's Haven guildhall-

Natsu was sitting in Mira's office, Lisanna's arms still holding him in a comforting embrace as he tried to figure out what the feeling he had in his stomach was. His eyes suddenly flew open as he shot up and out of Lisanna's embrace.

"Wendy," Natsu said, concern and fear invading his voice.

"Don't tell me you think something will happen to her," Lisanna said with concern in her eyes.

"I-I don't know, but I'm sure something is wrong, I need t…" Natsu started to say when he suddenly stopped, the colour in his face draining and his magical presence suddenly disappearing.

"Natsu are you okay?" Mira asked as she stood up and approached the Dragon Slayer. As she neared him she heard him mumble something under his breath. Lisanna was quick to move to the man when she heard the same mumbling.

"No, no, no, no…" Natsu mumbled, his eyes going blank and his shoulders slouching. This concerned the female Strauss siblings were very concerned when they saw this.

"It's not manly to mumble, tell us what's wrong Natsu," Elfman said, though concern was evident in his voice, his normal way of talking made it come out more condescending. This earned him a quick glare from his older sister before all the attention was returned to the Dragon Slayer who had gone completely silent.

"Natsu?" Lisanna carefully asked as she tried to touch him but quickly recoiled at the heat that was rolling off of him. This surprised her because couldn't feel a drop of magic coming from him.

"Mira, what's happening, I can't sense any magic in him?" Lisanna asked her sister, fear entering her voice.

"We need to get him to a bed. Elfman, go and see if the town doctor is available. Lisanna, help him to his roo…" Mira started giving out instructions before her voice got caught in her throat. She felt a familiar presence nearby, in her office she felt the unmistakable dark power of a demon.

Slowly turning to Natsu she saw something that shocked her. Pitch black scales were crawling over his face and arms, his distant eyes gaining a blood-red colour and losing all sense of emotions. A low growl emanated from his throat before an explosion of power erupted from him, throwing the Strauss siblings, along with all the furniture in the room into the walls.

Pitch black wings with a blood-red bone-like structure erupted from his back while a spiked tail snaked from his lower back, his teeth elongated into fangs and two horns started to pierce his pink hair. The heat in the room skyrocketed and the dark power snuffed out all the air.

"Elfman help me contain him," Mira shouted, knowing her little sister wouldn't be strong enough to hold Natsu down and hoping that her power in combination with Elfman's would suffice.

A mix of crimson and black flames sprouted from the cracked ground as the two mages neared him, lashing out at them. A demonic growl sounded from where Natsu was before two glowing red orbs menacingly shone through the dark flames.

"Take Over: Satan Soul: Halphas" Mira called out, morphing into a demonic takeover with sky blue scales, horns, wings and tail, her hands being clad in sky blue gauntlets and her outfit chaining into a revealing one-piece with her belly and a large amount of cleavage exposed.

"Take Over: Beast Soul: The Beast" Elfman called out, changing into the maroon and green King of Monsters. Elman was the first to strike, with his increased strength he grabbed hold of Natsu's shoulder and tried to push him to the ground. He was surprised to find a massive amount of resistance, not even being able to move Natsu's standing form even a hair.

A black and crimson clawed hand clamped itself onto Elfman's arm just before Mira appeared in front of Natsu.

"Sorry about this," Mira said as she released the power she had accumulated in her hand. "Halphas Blast" Mira called out, slamming the darkness into Natsu's chest in an attempt to knock him down so that they could restrain him.

Before the darkness from her attack could recede she felt a large mass connect with her as Elfman was flung into her by Natsu. The two Take Over Mages were thrown into a wall, both letting out grunts of pain before they once again turned to Natsu. The glowing red eyes now held anger within them, something they never would have seen Natsu directing at them.

Black and crimson flames started to swirl around Natsu as a killing intent flooded the room. A growl escaped from Natsu as his hand slowly lifted to where the Strauss siblings were. Before Natsu had lifted his hand far enough to aim an attack as them, two small slender hands encased his claws.

"Natsu, please don't. Please come back to us, please come back to me," Lisanna's fear-filled voice called out. The demonic Natsu slowly turned his head to his hand. His eyes widened as he saw two burnt arms holding onto his, slowly looking up the arms and resting his gaze on Lisanna's tear-stained face.

"Please," She begged as she pushed through the veil of power that surrounded Natsu, slowly being able to move her burnt arms around his torso. The moment her arms completely encased him the power he protruded vanished and the anger in his eyes dissolved into horror and grief.

"Lisanna, wh-what did I do?" Natsu asked, whether it was to the youngest Strauss or himself wasn't important, but the shock and horror at his action were evident.

"It's going to be okay, let's just take a deep breath," Lisanna whispered to him, her face pressed against his scaled chest. Natsu's arms slumped down to his sides as he followed Lisanna's instruction and took a deep breath.

"Good, not why don't we sit down," Lisanna softly said as she started to pull him down. Natsu obliged and was soon on the ground, his expression still one of shock as Lisanna gently held him. The demonic feature he gained slowly started to recede as tears started to leak from his eyes.

"Natsu, do you know what happened?" Mira asked as she got up, surprised by how her sister was able to calm him down with but a touch.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," Natsu said as tears freely flowed from his eyes.

"It's okay, we forgive you but can you tell us what happened?" Mira gently asked as she slowly approached the two sitting mages.

"It felt like I lost myself, something in me just vanished, something that was a part of me and all I wanted to do was lash out to the one responsible," Natsu said as Lisanna rubbed his back in a comforting motion, her hand slowly moving in a circle. Natsu knew that he could berate himself later and that figuring out what happened needed to take priority.

"Could this have something to do with that feeling you had?" Elfman asked from his position against the wall. He was glad that he managed to twist Mira in front of him before the two crashed into the wall, meaning that he was the one who received more damage.

"I don't know but I think that would explain it, I just hope I'm wrong about this," Natsu said, his face in his hands as tears dripped onto the floor.

"We can always go to Fairy Tail and check up on her," Lisanna offered.

"I think I want to go alone, I don't want to hurt you again," Natsu said as he finally looked at her, grief and guilt filling his eyes.

"Are you sure, you want to go alone, and I don't blame you for anything, I'm just glad to see you are all right," Lisanna said with love in her eyes as she offered him a kind and loving smile.

"I would rather level a forest than risk hurting you guys again. I'm really sorry about that Mira, Lisanna, Elfman," Natsu replied as a frown formed on his face while his tears started to lessen.

"Natsu, as you Master, I will give you this job. You will go and train yourself in discipline so that you can control the power you have. Once you have completed this mission you are to return to us, but not before. We will always be your family Natsu, and as your reward, you will be able to stop yourself from hurting us" Mira said as she stood up, a few tears forming in her eyes.

"Mira, he needs us to be with him," Lisanna protested but was silenced when Natsu took her hand in his.

"I accept this job," Natsu said as he looked Mira in the eyes. A sad smile spread across his face before he turned to Lisanna.

"I need to do this, last time I lost control I nearly hurt you and this time you got burnt bad," Natsu said as he gently ran his hand over the burns on her arms, being careful not to touch her wounds.

"I don't care about that, what's important to me is that you are safe and happy here with me," Lisanna tried to protest, tears in her eyes but her tone already revealed that she knew this was for the best.

"I'll be back in no time, just need to overcome this," Natsu said with a sad smile before he closed the distance between them and captured Lisanna's lips in a loving kiss.

"I'll miss you, please don't be long," Lisanna said once they broke apart mimicking his sad smile.

"I'm off," Natsu said as he wrenched his gaze from all of them and looked at the door. He knew he had to do this and he was extremely grateful for Mira supporting this. Natsu got up, knowing that if he stayed much longer he wouldn't be able to leave and walked to the door. He opened the door and started to walk out but stopped halfway and turned around.

With a last smile, Natsu was gone. Lisanna broke down, Mira moving to comfort her. Elfman looked at the door. He had caught Natsu's eyes before he left, he understood the unspoken message. 'Protect them until I return'. Elfman got up and encased his sisters with his large arms, the small family mourning the leaving of their brother, their love, their friend. His return would be celebrated, but until that time they will have to build the guild up to where they could live comfortably.

"Tomorrow we go back to work as normal, but not today," Mira said, her siblings understanding what she meant.

-With Natsu-

Natsu had been travelling alone for a few days now, never truly forgiving himself for what he had done but not berating himself either since he knew his family wouldn't want him to. Now he found himself on a hill overlooking Magnolia. He needed to check up on Wendy.

As he stealthily neared the guildhall he saw a squadron of Rune Knights near the building. A frown immediately on his face Natsu dashed to the roof of the guildhall so that he could hear why they were there. He was confused when he saw the Rune Knight's troubled and remorseful expression where he would have expected some degree of annoyance or anger.

As they opened the guild doors Fairy Tail became quiet. Natsu listened to the exchange when he heard something that made his world come to a halt, something he had a feeling might have happened but continuously denied.

"Acnologia showed up as they were fighting Grimoire Heart. He obliterated the entire Island. I'm sorry to say that the members of your guild that went to Tenrou Island are dead," Doranbolt said.

Hey guys, another chapter is done. So yeah, Tenrou happened a little bit differently with Grimoire Heart not being defeated before Acnologia arrived. So next I will divulge into the time skip and give have a few events happen. This is where I will introduce the OC's for this story. I'm planning on having Griffin's Haven participate in a GMG before the one where Fairy Tail returns and I'm thinking about using this to introduce some of the OC's if not all. The OC's won't have a prominent role in the story, I'm planning on having them more like how Bisca and Alzack for example are in the anime, still having some screen time but not taking over the story. Let me know if this idea is appealing. Other than that the next chapter will begin with Natsu's reaction to the news before I show snippets from his training arc and what I plan on doing there. Hope you all enjoyed, leave a review with your thoughts and I will see you next time.
