"It was written in the Covenant of Primus, that when the 47 spheres align, a perceptual conflict will culminate upon a world forged from Chaos. And the weak shall perish in the shadow of the rising darkness."

A doom prophecy. One designed to occur on this very planet.

This troubled the Prime more than he expressed.

Destiny always found a way to become reality. In the Primes views, there was no running from one's destiny.

"Weak shall perish..."

That one line echoed.

The very planet that housed them, became their temporary home. Welcomed them to an extent.

Welcomed titans.

Prime was forever in their debt. But he understood how they stood.

Their human allies were weak in defense, how loathed he was to admit. The younglings were strong in their own right. Should be respected for those strengths, but one thing is they weren't as physically strong compared to themselves. As Ratchet once claimed, the humans would go squish if they weren't careful.

Optimus prayed to the AllSpark.

'Let this prophecy never become reality.'

This wasn't supposed to happen.

He shouldn't be this pale, confined to an uncomfortable gurney, breaths shallow.

He was meant to be anywhere else.

Helping Ratchet. Kicking their butts at games. Laughing. Talking to Bee.

Bee...

The scout was in agony over this, his clear display only moments ago was proof. Acree stepping in didn't comfort the silent mech. He was just quieter, his worry hanging around him, infecting the others. They were all in agony.

'This shouldn't have happened!'

Jake slammed his fist into the wall. The metal bang startled everyone. He could feel the gazes, the understanding floating towards him. Metal shuffling and a comforting hand on his shoulder.

He just felt so... Helpless. Weak.

Despite being surrounded by giant aliens fighting a war, he never felt like this. No matter what he did no one could change what happened. It was in the past, now leaving the consequences.

The only consoling thought was his mom coming soon. He called her. It was the only choice. Ratchet didn't know anything about the human body. He cringed, recalling those same words being yelled at Ratchet not even a minute before. He was upset and hearing Ratchets panic wasn't helping.

They were all panicked.

Ratchet said something later that stuck.

"The weak shall perish."

It was so cheesy. The thought these words came from the grouchy medic didn't seem to connect in his mind.

Though those words surprisingly brought comfort.

Raf wasn't weak.

Jack just knew he would survive.

Relaxing his hand from the metal wall, it flopped back to his side. The noticeable inhuman dent left was lost in the frantic atmosphere.

"Do you know anything about the human body!?"

That accusation echoed through his processor. He was a fool. An old fool.

He should know. He should understand the subject just as well as cybertronian biology. Especially with his research on Jackson. Jackson sadly wasn't the norm.

Ratchet only learned the surface knowledge and proceeded to toss further learning aside, feeling it wasn't going to help Jack. He overlooked the idea that others may be hurt. He became too confident. Too convinced in their ability to protect the children. He was a fool. Miko went on missions all the time, often without permission. She could have been injured, dead even. He ignored those incidents thinking they wouldn't happen again. He lost that bet often. It always happens again.

Now he was in limbo, a place he often wasn't in. He was meant to be the one with answers, the one the other looked to for medical knowledge. He was now reduced to experimental ideas.

Dark Energon vs Energon.

He wasn't sure it would work. Simply the last resort.

Thank Primus, he survived.

Seeing Raf moving and talking was a gift. One he would never forget.

Watching him leave was miserable. Nurse Darby may be right, that didn't change their feelings.

He turned and saw Jacks' eyes tightly shut, body tense. The glow between his sealed eyelids showed his control slipping. He was just as emotional but never able to show.

Jack hadn't had this difficult time controlling himself since the cave-in. His emotions wanted to bubble up, engulfing him into acting. To do something. The only problem was he wasn't sure what that would be. He didn't have weapons, strength, or tech skills. Besides his predisposition to glow he had very little skills. He could be a battery, but that weakened him too much to be effective.

Pointless skills and a past his mother wasn't ready to acknowledge.

When he stood in front of his mom, a woman who may not be biology-related, he couldn't follow her lead anymore. He had to stick with the bots. He cared too much.

He loved her, more for the fact she adopted him, but he needed to stay. He might be able to help. His meager skills could provide support.

'Isn't that a dream,' his sad thought fueling his worry. Their world was crumbling and they weren't sure what was causing it. Not yet, but soon they would. That knowledge would plague them. People often say ignorance is bliss. Sometimes that statement was oh so true.

When June woke up that morning she didn't suspect the call she would receive from her son. He sounded panicked, something her son doesn't become unless he's out of options. June had learned since Jack was little, he prided himself in being mature and controlling his emotions. When he was ten it was adorable seeing the attempts. His face scrunched up, tears shimmering refusing to fall, snot running despite his attempts. He was always in a hurry to grow up.

Part of that she knew was her fault. When they started moving Jack became aware of how much she struggled. Bless his soul, he wanted to help any way he could. The smallest things like chores and shopping he overtook. He became the perfect son, one focused on helping and keeping his uncontrollable quirks controlled. He was a gift given from the stars.

That is how his refusal to come with her ached so much. He was no longer her little boy, only helping her. He found others he learned to care for, he couldn't abandon them.

"I'm staying." Followed by a distressed "I'm sorry." Was her son's response.

Even with the pain brought by the decision, she recognized the strain that choice carried. The light glowed in his clenched fists, flashing golden blue in his eyes. He was an open book.

Through the obvious emotions he exhibited, his face was steadfast and determined. The look of an adult making a decision, so she let him.

Leaving she had a pit of guilt filling her. She had to keep moving, if not for her then Rafael who needed a check-up. Who knows what being exposed to two types of Energon has done to him. He was just a child. Growing and vulnerable despite his assurances he was big enough.

Driving in the freak weather back into town wasn't helping the mood inside the chilly car. Looking back she noted Raf murmuring to himself, eye focused on the outside each time lightning struck.

"You okay back there Raf?" Adjusting the mirror to keep an eye on him. His color was better and being awake was an improving sign. This last incident was too close for comfort.

"I saw lightning." The boy stated. "I'm counting till the thunder..." He was cut off by said thunder rumbling. June could feel the defining drum through her bones. Storms weren't unusual in Jasper, but this was something new. Something dangerous.

She recalled how Jack claimed the whole world might be in just as much danger as them. That thought ran true, her instincts agreed more than she preferred.

Trying to reassure the boy, she brought up small talk. Her roses could use the water, they were in a dessert after all. It was a miracle they hadn't died. Jack saved them since she didn't have the time.

Another roll of thunder captures her attention from the road. She follows the light, absorbed in her thoughts. A dangerous thing to do when you are driving.

Turning back to the endless stretch of desert, lighting struck. She inhaled as the lightning strikes closed in on the car. The jerky steering managed to dodge each blast. Panic overtook her as more followed the out-of-control vehicle. When they thought they were out of the woods, lightning struck front and center. She gave a hard turn, the car spinning from the lighting and around only stopping once connecting to a wooden post. The sudden impact jerked June from her panic as she assessed what had happened. Once assuring Raf was okay the going just got tougher.

Seems the freak weather decided to take its turn to tornados. What was even better is the break-up sedans' refusal to start.

The only luck they had was Bee. He saved them. Once in his safe interior, she let him know. Though despite the safety both humans were in, June dreaded the news she would hear at the base.

This was his day of destiny. The day he would stand at the top, triumphant over all that had or would oppose him. The endless supply of Dark Energon only seems to prove his status. He would be the ruler, in charge of life and death himself. The supreme overlord of this new world, one that will fuel his resurrection of Cybertron once more.

Megatron looked over his volcano, the very one supplying Unicron's lifeblood. This was his prophecy and he shall not fail it.

Learning that his mother and Raf had been nearly killed. Well nearly killed again in the case of Raf had frightened him. It had spooked all the bots at the base. Today was filled with close calls for humans and bots alike.

Rushing up to his mom he hesitated, hugging her didn't seem right when he refused to come with her. He had made the choice, not regretting it.

They stood apart, far too apart for his needs. She almost died and the last thing he would have said to her was an argument. Seeing the equally troubling expression on his mother's face, he smiled. Blue eyes made contact with his luminescent optics. That was all they needed. No apology, just understanding as they embraced. Thought being grounded till he was 25 was a huge downside. The punishment was forgotten once reality came crashing down.

It wasn't every day he was informed that Earth's center was composed of a sentient robot. A robot that happened to be known as Unicron, the chaos bringer. What was even more shocking is the fact 14 other cybertronians were needed to halt him before.

How did one fight the core of a planet?

That was a pressing issue for them all. If they didn't find a way for Unicron to understand what his body housed they were dead. All it took was a simple heartbeat and their planet was already in crisis, if the titan ever tried they would be goners. That simple thought caused him to tremble. Earlier he felt powerless, now he felt akin to a prisoner.

The Earth had become a jail for all the life harbored upon the exterior.

Looking at the bots he questions. The bots made it through miraculous scenarios, was this one of those or would he lose someone he'd come to cherish.
