Chapter 7

"MORE! AGAIN!"

In the days that followed, Junpei felt a new growth in him. He felt strong, powerful… unyielding to any challenge before him. Suiryu has obliged in transfiguring him over and over again, and now, it was time. He had passed out from the last transfiguration from half an hour ago. Suiryu turned all his arms and legs and Junpei turned them back all at once. But now, he had to take it to the final level. It was time to confront this now, he rushed back outside after being put to bed from the last transformation. Instantly, he sought out Suiryu and said. "Transfigure me… to the thing that killed me." He demanded.

It was at the same time Eso had come to see his progress. Instantly he shut down the notion. "NO, Junpei, that's too much!" he protested. "Suiryu, you can't do this!"

Suiryu on the other hand appeared to have made up his mind already. "Sounds interesting…"

"SUIRYU!" Eso protested.

"Eso please! I need this!" Junpei begged. "I need to know once and for all, that I am no longer afraid of this, I can over come it with my own strength. Please…"

He shook his head to it, worried that it would do more harm than good. Suiryu on the other hand smirked. "There's one thing I still got in common with the bastard I came from… and that's making people suffer."

He grabbed him. It was so fast Junpei had no time to react! But he felt everything change in him. Oddly enough, it was far gentler than before! Was… was Suiryu being careful with him?

"But there is a difference between the bastard and I…"

Junpei didn't hear the rest. He was too busy focusing.

This one… this was difficult to overcome. He screamed aloud in agony, but he refused to allow this to defeat him. It won't happen again! He won't give that curse the chance to use him like a pawn!

NEVER AGAIN!

It was strange, he felt as if his soul… his soul resonated within him. But, he felt as if he wasn't the only one fighting this either. 'This isn't me… this isn't you either… no one is going to turn you again!'

That voice, it was the same one that spoke to him before in that weird dream… the one in the orb of light before it vanished.

The world became a little clearer, but he saw Suiryu smiling. "There we go! He's got it!" he said, but passed out shortly after that.

Junpei fell asleep, his body was drained, his mind a blur. But… he felt at ease with himself. There was no longer this nagging fear in the pit of his stomach, he could take on the world at this point, and yet… what he wanted the most right now was to apologize to Yuuji.

He slept soundly, until his body suddenly jolted. The curse energy he had lost turning himself back, replenished, and also… he felt stronger than before! He heard something too, someone was moving about and yet at a lazy pace. It was enough to wake him up.

Junpei stood up and yawned aloud, before stretching himself out. He turned and saw Yuuji was standing. "Hey Junpei," he said rather casually.

"Hey Yuuji." He replied back.

There was an awkward silence between the two, it only hit Junpei when Yuuji suddenly pulled him into his arms. "JUNPEI!"

The two embraced as if nothing had happened. Yuuji stepped back, it was then Junpei saw the changes he went through. The extra arms, the markings on his body. "Whoa… Yuuji…" he whispered in amazement.

He suddenly became self conscious about his appearance. "I… I know I don't look the same as before…"

But he was quick to set Itadori's mind at ease. "Yeah, me either," he said with a smile as he brushed back his bangs.

"Junpei?" Yuuji was worried about him, but he insisted that he was fine and okay now.

Yuuji however appeared rather confused as to where he was, how he got there. Let alone what happened! Everything had to be explained, but, it would be best if they got the brothers involved first.

It was a rather fast introduction as the older siblings came barreling towards Itadori the moment they noticed him up and about. Also Suiryu had to give Yuuji a proper explanation of these events. He still didn't quite understand what had happened let alone how Junpei and the others got to be where they are now. But Yuuji accepted the situation for the time being. He was happy to learn that Suiryu has been taking care of everyone as he slept and recovered.

"Oh, how long was I asleep for?" Yuuji asked offhandedly.

"A month." Junpei said innocently.

Yuuji's face dropped in shock. "ONE MONTH?!" he demanded. "Damn…"

"So, now that you are up, I'm going to borrow Junpei for a bit, I've been training the other students at BOTH schools now. But Junpei… I am a little curious about. And I know he's itching to try something too, is that cool?" Suiryu asked.

Yuuji was taken aback but nodded. Junpei remembered that odd look on his face. Itadori appeared rather confused. But it was a deal Suiryu had made with Junpei when he got over his fear of transfiguration.

It was time to see what he can do!
