Chapter 15
When the war ended, Junpei rejoined the brothers. However, there was a rather strong looking man with black skin who confronted Yuuji and Suiryu on the matter. Despite Yuuji having an issue after eating a volcano curse of some sort. Yet, he was stunned as Suiryu came forward and lowered his head. "They are my responsibility." He decreed. "I will take care of them, for they are family."
Choso nodded in agreement to the notion. "I have come to accept Suiryu as a brother as well. Our connection is not as strong, but it is there," he whispered to Junpei.
The man named Yaga turned and stared at them oddly. "Those really are…"
"Yeah," Suiryu said and smirked.
"HOW?" he demanded.
"Uh, that's on a need to know bases, you don't need to know." Suiryu explained. "Besides, we just went to war… you really want to be talking about this now? Or do you want to celebrate that for once, no one died?!"
Yaga paused as he looked over the others. In fact, Suiryu was correct. No one was killed this time around. Which must have been a miracle.
But Junpei also noticed something, how strong the students were at the school Yuuji attends. His mind began to wonder, remember when Itadori explained there was a different school he could go to, away from the bullies and he would be his friend there. The hallow dream was shattered by Mahito, but perhaps… maybe now… it's possible?
Then again, he's not exactly a sorcerer…
The idea soon passed in his mind. However as everyone left, he turned and saw Satoru Gojo lingering about. "You guys were rather impressive, thanks for the help. So, as a special thank you on behalf of the school… I'm going to take you guys somewhere fun!"
"Fun?" the brothers asked.
Junpei was curious too. "Well, I know there is that street festival coming up in Tokyo square…"
"My thoughts exactly! I think that is going to be the place I take you, I'll bring someone to help show you around, but I promise you. I'll bring all of you to it, and you can enjoy the festival," Gojo said proudly.
Yet, as he turned to leave. Junpei suddenly reached out, his hand was instantly repelled, as if he hit a wall momentarily! But it made Gojo turn around. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so abrupt. I was just wondering… would… would it be possible for me to attend your school?"
There was silence.
Gojo appeared to look away for a moment as he considered the thought. "Hmmm, would it be possible?" he asked aloud. "Give me some time and I think I can make it work!" he vowed.
Junpei's eyes lit up, at the same time he wasn't holding out much hope for it.
"Little brother, it's been a long night, I think it's time we head home ourselves." Sho announced.
He nodded in agreement. "I'll walk you guys home," called Yuuji. Suiryu came along as well.

"Your method worked out perfectly, at the same time I noticed…" along the way, Suiryu was giving everyone some constructive criticism on their technique and abilities. Tanso had lost a few familiars but not as many as he assumed he would have. That volcano curse killed the most out of all the others. Sho didn't do much either, he used his ability to remove the wounded and transfigured people from the battlefield. "I do admit, I thought you would have done damage, but your recovery of the transfigured people… good move, that way they won't get killed by accident…"
"Hey, Suiryu… what becomes of those people?" Junpei asked with worry. "I mean, when one is transfigured, they can't turn back can they?"
"You must have missed little brother's message then," Choso said.
"What?"
"I… can reverse it now." Yuuji said meekly. "It's not like reverse jujutsu or anything since this is transfiguring the soul… huh… how do I explain it?"
Suiryu turned around. "He devours the curse energy used to turn the soul. When the energy is gone, the soul heals…"
"Sort of…" Yuuji said. But he explained that he had a weird vision when he did it the first time. The first person he reversed such a terrible fate upon was a young child. "It was as if the two were fighting for possession. The child was being devoured by the curse but not killed… I suppose the curse still needs the soul to maintain the body or something. I ate the curse that was on the soul and the child recovered…"
Suiryu paused.
"Wait, what?" he asked. "You… you saw that? How did you see that?!" he demanded.
Yuuji shrugged. "I always thought it was a dream too, I mean, it didn't feel real. But I also think Kitsune was keeping me in a trance as I did this, so I wouldn't freak out."
"Kitsune?" the brothers asked.
"Fox spirit that looks after him, she can be a bitch" Suiryu chimed in.
"That's rude! She just helped me not become a walking volcano!"
"Tch, whatever,"
It appears Suiryu and this Kitsune woman don't get along. 'I wonder if I would be able to meet someone or something like that?' Junpei wondered to himself. "Wait, why does Yuuji have a fox spirit looking out for him?"
"Oh, that's because she tends to the dragon in me, Ryujin." Itadori explained. "As such, I am just an extension of her duties of looking after Ryujin… which is ensuring his vessel… me… is taken care of as well."
"She's still a bitch," Suiryu chimed in once more. "She doesn't see me as anything less than Sukuna… is everyone around me dead? NO!" he protested.
"Easy, she just needs to get to know you." Yuuji explained gently.
"Yeah, sure." Suiryu muttered back. "So, bros… what do you want to do now? We have won our war, you were a great help, but since it's now over… what do you want to do with yourselves?" Suiryu began walking backwards as he looked into each of their faces. They were all unsure as to what they wanted to do now, yet Junpei smirked.
"I… would like to learn how to play the guitar." He said. "It's stupid I know…"
"Ah, music, nice… anyone else?" None of the other brothers appeared interested at the time, however Suiryu smirked a little deviously. "We'll find something soon for everyone to enjoy, you got to make the most of this you know!"
"Well, when Junpei goes to pick out the guitar, I'll go with him just to see…" said Eso.
Tanso too appeared interested as his hand raised and he nodded to the notion. "Okay, we got an outing to plan!" Suiryu announced. Oddly enough, he appeared to be excited on the notion.
It was strange to see.
Suiryu was asking the brothers what they wanted to do, to see if they had plans for themselves or anything like that… was he really looking out for their best interest? Was he trying to make sure they had fun with the life and bodies they were given?
He couldn't know for sure, but, Junpei began to see Suiryu like a protective older brother.
They made it back home without incident. The brothers were tried from today and no one was really hungry after the battle. "Let's all call it a night and settle our minds and bodies. Tomorrow we will see what more we can do and perhaps even go into the city…" Choso said offhandedly.
"Maybe we should do so in small batches, it may over stimulate everyone," Yuuji explained. 'URP!' suddenly came out of him. "Ooo, sorry, please excuse my rudeness there…"
"Curse giving you gas?" Suiryu asked and smirked at the notion. "You never had that happen before."
"Just some heartburn," Itadori explained.
But sooner than later, everyone would learn it wasn't heartburn…
