Chapter 27
"We get to be in this too?"
Eso was taken aback by Suiryu's request. After all, he was part of Yuuji's history too, even though it was brief, he and Kechizu still helped shape this story. "I think it would be some good exposer, I mean we are going to become a band right? Show people you're not just a simple bass player!" Suiryu suggested.
"I got a song we could use," Junpei said aloud.
He had Eso listen to a rather heavy song called 'So Cold' by Static X. When it ended, he nodded in agreement to it. "That does sound fitting doesn't it. It's a good introduction and yet it also lets the audience know that who they are facing are not sorcerers or curses in a sense…" Eso said as he listened to it one more time.
"You take the led vocals and I'll sing the main verse if you want?" Junpei suggested.
"I think that works," chime Suiryu. "Junpei's right, it fits right in with the theme there…"
For a while, he and Eso would rehearse with Suiryu and the actress they hired to be Nobara. They managed to make a good scene for the rock opera and were satisfied with it.
"Uh… excuse me, Mr. Itadori?"
They were taking a break as the woman playing Yua appeared. She held the script oddly and appeared nervous. "Something wrong?" Suiryu asked point blank to her.
She jumped a little. "Uh… I have a suggestion."
"Are you looking for more lines? Not happening…"
"No, I am very happy with the part, but… I just have this feeling, the way you wrote this character… she was someone important and powerful wasn't she? I was thinking, just by the description you gave here. What if every time she walks, there's the sound of a drum to emphasize her importance and power?"
The notion took Suiryu aback, but he thought it over and then nodded. "You know, I was trying to figure out a way to highlight her character… I like that idea I really do… let's go with it!" he decreed.
She was stunned and then thanked him for his time before leaving.
"I think we are going to make a wicked rock opera!" Junpei said proudly.
"Indeed, only another two weeks to go!"

They would go home tired.
Eso, Junpei and Tanso would come through the doors but appear dead on their feet. Peering about, Junpei realized there was a face lacking. "Choso?" he asked aloud.
"Little brother's place... Yuuji's place," chimed Sho. "He's been there ever since you guys began preparing for this opera of some sort… Is it coming along?"
Junpei snickered. "Suiryu knows what he wants and he wants perfection… damn him. But still… I understand why he is doing this." It was only recently they learned that most of the lyrics were coming from a journal Yuuji had during the time he was possessed by Sukuna. Suiryu found it by accident and yet, is using the contents of said journal for music lyrics. The songs are powerful and yet at the same time, heartbreaking for those who know Yuuji.
Everything he has endured, suffered and been through, is going to be out in the open for the world to see.
What bothered Junpei the most is, he is suffering alone. Yuuji doesn't like to burden others with his problems and seeks to help ease the worry off of others than himself. He's selfless that way, but still. He shouldn't have to suffer alone with what he endured.
"I better get started on dinner then…" Eso said with a sigh.
"No need, we ordered out again. You rest up little brother," Sho said and smiled.
There was indeed a lot of take out food in the kitchen, in fact, it appears that is all the brothers have been eating for the past few weeks. "I think we are going to have to start doing cooking lessons for everyone," Junpei muttered.
'I agree' came from Tanso.
"At least no one is starving…" Eso said with a sigh.
