Chapter 32
But not everything goes as planned.
When the body thief was about to be expelled, he apparently had a backup plan waiting within Itadori. Junpei didn't know what it was until days later. Suiryu had kept avoiding the questions he texted and insisted Yuuji was fine. Yet when he asked Fushiguro, he knew nothing. 'He's still in the hospital, why do you ask?'
'Suiryu said it was nothing serious, but I'm a little worried. Choso is too'
When he mentioned Choso, Fushiguro became concerned as well. He explained they know nothing more than Itadori being hospitalized. No word on his condition or what happened between him and the thief.
They waited.
Yet in that time, Junpei, Eso and Tanso were called in to do an interview for Bloodbore magazine.
He never thought he would be featured in something like this. Bloodbore is one of the top horror magazines. He use to read them all the time, and now… he's on the cover with Suiryu and the brothers. He even got his own page for the interview!
They asked band questions, the one that stuck out the most was who had the most evil or abnormal laugh. Suiryu pointed to Junpei of course, the brothers pointed to Suiryu. He caught that and said. "Oh fuck you!" to them in a joking manner.
But, when it came time to prove it…
"Make me laugh." Suiryu said in a challenging tone to the interviewer.
"Uh… what?"
"You want to compare laughs, make me." He insisted. He wanted to prove to the brothers that his laugh was not as creepy as Junpei's. His is wicked, evil even, but not creepy. But that alone set Junpei off snickering… well… it started as a snicker. Then it grew into a full out evil alien laugh that made the interviewer freeze in his place!
When he realized how terrified the interviewer was, he stopped and turned red with embarrassment.
That's when Suiryu broke out into his maniacal laughter!
"Okay, wow…" the interviewer said. "But I got to go with Ryomen on this, his is evil, but yours Kechizu is down right disturbing!"
"Told you" Suiryu muttered and pouted. "I don't have a disturbing laugh, mine's evil!"
"I don't think I can argue with you on that one…" Junpei said and smirked.
They continued on with the question, until they were interviewed one by one. Tanso opened to answer with a pen and paper, they weren't going to show the world that he communicates through cutting his flesh.
It was all in good fun in the end, but then, they were asked for photos.
Suiryu was a natural, well. He's posed before. The brothers… not so much.
Luckily the one doing the photos happens to be D'angelo.
"Okay sweeties, we got to do some solo shots here… Tanso, let me borrow you!"
Tanso was nervous but stepped forward. D'angelo did a good inspection of him, peering over his whole body before snapping his fingers. "Got it, wild look!" he decreed.
His head tilted to the side in confusion.
Junpei however saw what he wanted to do and stepped in. "Tanso, think tiger," Junpei explained, he even went as far as trying to imitate a tiger's looks with a wide mouth and curling his fingers like claws.
Tanso however, understood and appeared inspired.
Next thing he knew, Tanso was eating up the camera. D'angelo kept shouting. "More! You got that look, let's see more of that, more wild side!" he called.
Soon, Tanso was a natural before the camera.
Eso was next, he was a bit of a challenge but D'angelo knew what to do. "You're like a protective older brother in a sense aren't you? I also think you have an unusual style… try posing what feels natural to you."
Well… he got what he asked for.
Eso poses were more… Seductively.
As odd as it was, it suited him the best. D'angelo encouraged it too! When he was done, it was time for Junpei.
"Ooo I've been waiting for this moment!" D'angelo said with glee. "Come, come, let's get this started!"
Junpei stood in the open space, but didn't know how he should pose.
He was startled as his side mouths began licking the top of their teeth.
Click!
He jumped as the picture was taken. "Yes, that's creepy, we need do to creepy for you and disturbing… no offence…"
He paused to consider the notion but he smirked and nodded in agreement. "What about madness?" he asked.
"Madness?"
Junpei took a deep breath, and then, screamed out all three mouths!
D'angelo froze in terror of it, and yet, his finger kept on the button of his camera. He snapped up every shot he could! Then, he just started posing oddly, as if he had gone mad. But really it was inspiration from his horror movies… and Suiryu.
When it was done, D'angelo was smiling the biggest grin. "Oh honey, you picked some very good band mates!" he said to Suiryu.
"No shit, they are my brothers." He said rather proudly.
They article was printed and out on the shelves within a week, remarkably fast if one considers the content and work that goes into it.
