Chapter 39
Things returned to normalcy… sort of.
It wasn't long until Yuuji began to act strange, worst of all, his teeth were falling out and no one knew why. Suiryu had to keep a close eye on him, until the day happened. Yuuji lost every tooth in his mouth and then, lost his voice. He remembered the moment it happened too. Yuuji was speaking until he suddenly grabbed his throat, then all of a sudden…
"UMPH!" came out of him.
It was the only sound that would come out of him, it was the same noise he made back in the classroom, apparently to the fox woman who tends to him, it was a call for food, but this time around… it was a distress call! He ran out of the room in a panic, Suiryu close behind trying to get him to settle.
Gojo sensei froze, Fushiguro and Nobara were at the ready to run out to help, but Junpei didn't. "We can't, we should wait and see…" suddenly there came an odd pressure.
Kitsune was still in the room when she suddenly rushed out herself.
Gojo sensei had changed out his blindfold before peering out the window. "Oh damn…" he said and then laughed. "He is that beloved by divine creatures!"
"What are you talking about?" Fushiguro demanded.
"Oh right you can't see this. Yua Tooru left me a blindfold to see the divine, and well… they are swarming around Yuuji since he made that distress call. Apparently, these creatures will protect him if he calls out to them, no question… huh… Oh, there they go. Suiryu's curse energy repelled them off…"
"I have no idea what he is saying…" muttered Nobara.
"So divine creatures will answer Yuuji, no matter what huh?"
"Yep! If he wanted to he could have a full security detail on himself of divine creatures and no one here would notice… no one but me… but that in itself would be a problem… but I don't Itadori won't use them like this. Not his style…" he stopped talking the moment he saw Suiryu return. Yuuji was led back into the room where Kitsune eased him down into his chair once more.
He looked so lost, so scared…
His heart broke for him.
"It's been nearly ten thousand years since the last dragon…" he remembered Kitsune saying. So, apparently she knew what was happening to Itadori, and was encouraging it!
Wait… someone can like Itadori can become a dragon!?
He kept listening to what was happening, apparently, the rancid drink he has been consuming was dragon milk, if a human or sorcerer is able to keep it down, their power will grow greatly. Much to his shock though, Suiryu insisted that Sukuna never took any of it. "I got the memory of smell up here, but not taste… besides, one wouldn't be able to obtain this so easily now would they?"
Kitsune smirked. "Only divine creatures like myself can obtain it, unless they get it straight from the dragon. That would NEVER happen," she insisted. "In fact, if memory serves me, sorcerers before my young master killed themselves after realizing they couldn't turn back. Many however starved to death being unable to eat or drink anything else…"
"Ah yeah, that brings back memories…" Suiryu said in a bland voice, he shuttered too. "That's not happening with Yuuji, right?"
"I am providing him with the milk he needs, I will not allow him to starve!" she said in a passionate voice.
Despite not really knowing Kitsune or really seeing her, she appeared to be determined to ensure that Yuuji is looked after, that's the important part here.
"If I may excuse myself, I'm going to let the brothers know of this,"
Suiryu nodded as Junpei flew home as fast as he could. When his feet hit the ground, Choso was already outside awaiting him. "What happened to little brother?" he demanded right away.
"Uh… how do I explain this… Itadori is turning into a dragon,"
Choso paused oddly, he then appeared to be considering what was said and then spoke. "I thought so, he is a very strong brother… it's only proper since he did contain a dragon…"
How can he be so calm about this?!
Suiryu and Itadori came by later that day. Apparently Suiryu got inspired by the chakra poster Junpei kept in his room. Since then, he has tried to harvest the method of using body energy to fight if needed. He perfected it within a few hours and was quick to teach Yuuji… who caught on nearly instantly.
I was a small victory in a sense and yet, Junpei and the other brothers worried about what has yet to come.
#
It was like walking a on a tight rope ever since.
The elders are aware something is amiss at the school, at the same time, Yuuji has kept to himself and doesn't make that odd sound whenever he tries to speak. He has resorted into text messaging, which is a lot easier on everyone. However, the brothers were uncomfortable with the notion that they were of no help to Yuuji, being so far from him.
It would be the weekend when Sho stated that there has to be something more they could do for him.
"We are his brothers, we cannot sit around and wait for him to need us, it would take time to reach him as well! He should move here!" Sho stated.
Everyone was in agreement on the notion, Junpei however was quick to mention. "Then the elders will know something is up. Remember, we are trying to keep this low key if we can. The only solution would be to move closer to him."
"How though?" asked Eso. "I am certain the school won't allow… us to be within the grounds now will they?"
"Depends on who you ask…"
The table jumped.
Satoru Gojo appeared and was smiling a wicked grin. "You know, I've been thinking, ever since Junpei came to the school I find that the students are a lot more livelier than usual. But I also got to thinking that we could use some more help around there…" he said offhandedly, but that smile of his only grew.
"Gojo sensei…" Junpei began to ask, and yet appearing from behind him, were moving boxes, packing tape and other essentials.
"So, as such, gentlemen… welcome to jujutsu tech!"
No one moved at first, Tanso was the first to express his confusion with a massive question mark etched into his chest.
"Satoru, are you suggesting…" Choso began to ask.
"Not suggesting… insisting. Look, like it or not, Yuuji need the help and protection. Suiryu is even worried about him, despite the fact he doesn't show it. I can feel it in his energy. As such, I think it would be a good piece of mind for everyone here to pack up and come with me back to the school. Sanso can help us make curse tools. Mika LOVES the ones Junpei had made for her and they are now her go too weapon of choice. Eso, you know I would never say no to you if you asked to use the kitchen. Choso, we need you to be moral support for Itadori, especially since he can't talk, you can at least sense what he is trying to say right? And everyone else… moral support, not to mention we need the extra protection. So, what do you think?"
They exchanged looks, however Choso broke a smile and said. "Very well, let's move. Let's be closer to our brothers."
It took no time for them to pack everything up, they didn't have much to begin with. Yet when it was all said and done, the brothers had moved into Jujutsu Tech when all the councilmen and authoritive figures happened to be off the school grounds…

But as the time went by, Itadori started to act weird once more.
Before and after the attack by the divine users, Itadori has been gathering everything soft and comfortable.
Junpei noticed this as he rummaged through the linin closet and found all their blankets gone. The bathroom had no towels what so ever. It was odd.
"Here too?" Junpei muttered as the brothers had a drawer in their room for such an emergency. If no one did the laundry there was a back up clean towel if needed for showers. Yet even those were gone from the drawers.
"Whose turn was it for laundry?!" demanded Eso. "I can even find a wash cloth!"
"I did it, I swear I washed everything!" Junpei protested. "I put it all back too, I already checked the laundry room at the school, nothing is there… in fact the place looked like a bomb went off. There was clothing everywhere…" he muttered.
No one understood this odd change of events. Until Choso returned that afternoon.
"Yuuji has them," he said bluntly.
"What? He took all of our towels and blankets?!" Junpei demanded. "He's not a klepto is he?"
"I am uncertain as to what that is, but no. If anything, I think little brother is gathering materials for something, I found all of our towels and blankets in his room."
"You didn't take them back?" asked Eso.
"No, he needs them for a reason, his comfort comes before ours."
Eso sighed aloud, as did Junpei. There was no helping it, and besides as Choso said, Itadori needs these things for a reason.
Too bad no one at the time realized how serious things were about to get.
