Author's Note:

Just to let you all know, this story is made chapter by chapter based on my interest in it alone.
Meaning I only work on it when I feel like it, this isn't gonna be a timed thing. I've learned from my other story that trying to time myself only makes it harder for me to write.
Plus, at this point, I only feel motivated to write when I get inspired by something, which doesn't happen very often.
I know it's been quite a while too.
Hopefully you understand, let's get started though, shall we? Ikuso!

Waking up to a face inches away from mine is a new experience. I had, at some point in my sleep, rolled onto my back as that is my most comfortable sleeping position. This led to Chara waking up before me and decided to float above and wake me up.

While being as in my face as possible.

Needless to say, I jumped and we ended up hitting each other in the head. Neither of us know why I'm able to interact with her since she's intangible to everyone and everything else. We decided to keep ignoring it and hope the answer presents itself to us at some point.

On an unrelated note, Torial left a piece of pie on the floor like she did in the game. Why? No idea, not gonna knock it though, pie is pie. Picking it up I started to eat it as I walked out of the room we stayed in and into the living room. Chara floating out with me.

Seated in a recliner there in the living room was Torial, with some reading glasses on and a book in her hands.

"Oh, I see you're up. Are you enjoying the pie I left you?" Torial asked as she looked up from her book.

Giving her a slight smile, I responded. "Very much so Toriel, this is some of the best pie I've ever had!"

"I'm glad to hear that, but... " Toriel laid her book to the side and stood up, "I assume you want to go now?"

I looked away for a moment before turning back, "Yeah, I need to get going since it's going to be a pretty long walk if what I heard from that Flower is correct" I don't know how much she heard of our conversation, hopefully she just believes we talked for a good bit.

"What exactly did that creature tell you?" She asked. Concern was written on her face.

I don't like lying to her so much, she's nice and way too trusting of me. "He basically told me my only way out is across this entire place known as the 'Underground' and that I'd most likely be confronted by the King for a FIGHT… and that he won't take MERCY as an answer."

Toriel glanced down, "It's true that it will be a long journey through this cavern we've been trapped in, and that King Asgore will not allow MERCY." She looked back up to me. "Won't you please just stay? If you go either you or Asgore will die, and…"

"You know this Asgore personally I assume?" I asked, getting a nod I continued. "I promise, I will find a way to resolve this peacefully."

I turned to the stairs in the room, "I should get going now, thank you for your hospitality Toriel."

"You better come back for a visit!" Toriel shouted as I descended the stairs.

"I will!" I shouted back.

I had a legit smile on my face at this point, Toriel just seems to radiate a positive feeling for some reason.

"So…" Chara started, "That's a pretty hefty promise you made there, ya know?"

"I intend to keep it. But in other news, what do you think I should do if a Monster starts a FIGHT short stuff?"

"I TOLD YOU IT'S NORMAL! … Ahem, If a Monster starts a FIGHT, I think your SOUL will scare them off, though it may cause some unwanted attention as well as panic."

"True, having a SOUL with HATE in it will scare them off pretty easily. Changing subjects again, you said you were seventeen when we met right?

"Can you not focus on one thing? We're at the door by the way"

Coming into view was the big purple door that separated the Ruins from Snowden. Sans is most likely just behind it too.

"I see the door, and no, I can not focus at all. I'm pretty scatterbrained. So, seventeen, right?

"Yes, I am Seventeen, is that so hard to believe?"

"Considering you're about the height of a fourteen year old? Yep."

I got to the door and pulled it open, feeling the cold air hit me almost immediately… I hate the cold.

"This is just how I look dumbass, I can't control how my body grew." Chara continued.

"True, I've seen shorter people at your age." I conceded as I continued to walk, coming up to the bridge.

"Who you talking to, bud?" I heard from behind me

… Fuck, Sans heard me.

"The ghost of one of the previous fallen children, how about you?" I ask as I turn to face him.

"Talking to a ghost? Is the kid ghastly? Or are you just lonely?"

… How the hell does Sans know about Pokemon? You know what, not questioning it.

"Ehhhh, more like a short ball of anger that likes to yell in my ear."

Chara whips her head to me, "Mother fucker…"

"Hey, I didn't fuck your mom, you were there the whole time."

"... Uh," Sans interrupted, "Can you fill me in a little more than that?"

"Don't worry 'bout it my blue coated friend, say, what's your name?" I responded, giving Chara a smirk.

"The names Sans, Sans the Skeleton, and I got to say, you're really chilling me to the Bone talking to nothing like that."

Sans face contorted a bit and I saw a bead of sweat on his face… Great, we're going anime style with this. Anyways, I decided to just show Sans my SOUL. Placing my hand to my chest I started to focus on the same feeling I had this morning.

"Bud? What are ya doing?" He asked, seeming even more freaked out, I can understand why, meeting a full grown human for the first time in Underground and they immediately set off, like, three red flags.

"CHECKing my SOUL in order to show it to you. It has a uniqueness to it that I want you to look at for me, considering how powerful you are." I responded the best I could, while also dropping that I knew he was strong. I'm not wasting time here. I loved Undertale, don't get me wrong, but I would rather speedrun the 'Pacifist Ending' and then just start a life on the surface.

I see sans eye glow the moment my SOUL becomes visible, not wasting time I start the explanation. "So yeah, this is my soul, don't ask me why it's like this 'cause I don't know. All I do know is that I can't see my stats, can you?"

"Bud, that doesn't look normal, and I can't see your stats either. Mind explaining how you know about me and my power?"

"... Not much that I can actually tell you, probably wouldn't believe any of it. Shit, I haven't even told the ghost here my full story."

Chara tunes into the conversation again. "Wha-?"

"You could start now," Sans continues.

An impasse, do I explain to both Sans and now Chara, or try to lie to the "Judge" and my first "friend?" in this new world…

"Sigh, fine. I'll explain, but somewhere warm, the cold is starting to get to me."

Sans extends one of his boney hands, "Come on, I know a shortcut"

I took his hand, and suddenly we were moved to a new location. Looking around I could tell we weren't at Grillby's and if I had to guess this was likely Sans's room. 'Yeah, this is his room alright,' I thought as I noticed a sock lying on the corner of a floor mattress.

"You know, I would have expected dinner first before you invited me to your room." I said as I stared at him blankly.

"Relax, I don't bone on the first date. Now, how about you start explaining before my brother gets back." Sans replied.

"... didn't expect that kind of joke from you, want the short version or the long version?"

"Long version."

Closing my eyes I take a deep breath, and let it out, "Let's start by saying I'm not from here, this world specifically."

"Wha-?" Chara asked, whipping around to look at me.

Turning to her I continued, "Shush, I'm explaining." Turning back to Sans I wait for a response before continuing, "There are many worlds and timelines out there, as you know, and I come from one that sees other worlds as entertainment mediums. Such as Television, Games, Movies, even Board Games."

"Are you saying our world is nothing to yours?"

"Not exactly Sans, more like we don't think it actually exists since it's created by someone in our world. My personal theory is that my world is a hub world and everything created by us is an expression of another world. This world in particular, is a video game."

"I'm, a video game character?" Chara whispered to herself in the corner.

"No Chara, you're not, that's just how my world sees this one. In actuality, the people from my world interact with this one through a character named Frisk, who is usually the child that would have fallen in my place. However, I've somehow taken her place and am in control of myself."

"I see," Sans interjected, "So your world controls copies of ours as a game through a kid named Frisk. That doesn't explain why you are here though, nor why you decided to tell me any of this."

"Sans, you are the most powe- second most powerful monster to be encountered and are able to somehow tell when we'd SAVE or LOAD. There's not many I can go to in this world that would take any of this anywhere near as well as you."

"Second? Who's the first?"

I stopped, should I tell them of the events that can take place normally? Fuck it, I'm already here anyways. "That would be Flowey, after absorbing all of the monster souls and the six human souls all at once."

"WHAT!?" Chara yelled

"How... would he pull that off?" Sans asked.

"First, I should explain the rules of the game from my world. When in control of Frisk there are three distinct paths and endings you can take. Pacifist, where you talk your way out of every FIGHT you encounter, Neutral, where you Kill monsters at some points and talk away from others, and Genocide, the eradication of all Monsters in the Underground."

"Wh- Why would someone do that?" Chara asked me.

"Because some people in my world are psychopaths while others want to "Complete" the game. At any rate, I never even actually played the game, I just know a lot about it." Looking back over to Sans I continue, "Back to your question though, Flowey appears after successfully talking the King out of his plan, and takes the souls of all monsters and the human souls, becoming the Absolute God of Hyperdeath.

"... what."

Looking back to Chara, I wince at her dead expression. "Sorry Chara… Flowey is Asriel."

"No! No, that can't be true, Asriel would never be as cruel as that flower!" Chara yelled.

"That would be because Flowey doesn't have a soul, he's just a flower with Asriel's consciousness powered by determination."

"But how!? How could that have happened!?"

Walking over to her, I pull her into a hug as she starts to cry. "Chara I'll explain everything to you and we can figure out how to deal with it, let's focus on Sans for now ok? I'm trying to tell you both everything I know and there's a lot of things we can try. Let's put it on the back burner for now."

"I… Alright, but you better promise me we can fix this somehow."

I have no idea if I can do that, there;s a lot of AUs that have different ways of bringing back Chara, Asriel or even both of them, but who's to say if any of that would work?

"Chara… I'll try my best to help you, and Asriel, ok?" Chara nodded to me, and then we heard a small cough.

Turning to where Sans was, he spoke. "Ya know, it's real weird to see someone hug thin air, you sure you ain't Hypnotized?"

"Stop with the pokemon puns. Please." I desperately asked.

"Hmmmm, No I don't think I will."

'Did he, did he just meme on me?'

"Yeah alright," I said, "we'll continue this talk another time, I need to progress on my walk to asgore. Unless you wanna shortcut me to the Judgment Hall?

Sans disappeared from the room.

"Wow, what a dick." Chara said as we walked out of the his room

"Oi! Watch your language brat." I opened the front door as chara floated through the wall.

"Oh, go fuck yourself."

"Chara, I fucking will."

"Wha-!?"

Honestly? No idea what I'm even doing at this point, I feel like this is gonna end up just being a slow walk through the underground with some different Fight encounters and a more adult way of dealing with the issues of the other main bosses, like Undyne.

Hopefully I can keep what little motivation I have atm.

I guess I should also describe the character since I never did to my knowledge.

Tech is a 5"11' nineteen year old male with messy black hair. He usually wears a pair of black and red running shoes, dark blue or black jeans and usually a black T-shirt, along with his red jacket.

Based this character off of a couple characters I like and his personality off a close friend of mine.

My version of Chara is literally just a sixteen year old version so that I wouldn't have to write a kid, cause I suck at writing kids. I'll leave it like that you can imagine whatever you want her to look like, but she will always be wearing the green and yellow sweater.
