. . . And he did.
As he sits
He sits alone
Staring off into nowhere,
He is thinking so hard
That he can't even see
Because he is thinking about her,
The way her eyes sparkle
The way she smiles
The way she makes him feel,
His heart races and his brain stops
All rational action is lost
At the mere though of her,
He couldn't remember exactly when the feeling had started
That feeling of need and love
But he knew that it wouldn't leave him for as long as he lived,
She had been leaning over him
When he came to
In first year when he sacrificed himself in the chess game,
He reached up to brush away her tears
Forced a smile
And was pulled into a rib-breaking hug,
Malfoy called her a mudblood when they were twelve
He would have killed him if he had had the chance
How dare he use such a word to describe a creature as perfect as her,
Sure the curse backfired
But it was the thought that counted
He wouldn't have spent an afternoon puking up slugs for anyone else,
For the majority of third year they fought
Over her cat and his rat
He hated the days when they weren't talking,
But then again
She had an irresistible fire in her eyes as they fought
And that made it almost worth it,
When Victor Krum made her his own
At that bloody ball in fourth year
He wanted to beat Krum to a pulp,
But also
He wanted to beat himself to a pulp
For not asking first,
Quidditch was forgotten
That morning in fifth year when she kissed his cheek
And whispered him good luck,
He reached up to touch the spot
Where her soft lips had pressed on his skin
Wishing to preserve the moment forever,
Sixth year changed everything
He was a selfish prat and nearly broke her heart
All over unnecessary jealousy,
But he knew as he held her at Dumbledore's funeral
That it was all the past
And they together were the future,
Now it was the summer before seventh year
They were unsure what the next months held
They were only seventeen,
He was sure about one thing though
He wasn't capable of life with out her
And he as almost positive she felt the same,
At this moment he broke from his deep thoughts
And sprung into action
Gathering all of his Gryffindor courage,
He was going to tell her that he needed her
That his world wasn't complete without her
And that he had loved her from the first day he had met her,
And he did.
