White Dragons vs Cyber Dancers
A few days after the tennis duel incident, having a free period for a change, Draco looked around the campus of the Academy and ended up finding a stall that sells class rings, however to his disappointment, custom rings would cost extra; depending how much "custom" was done, in Draco's case; a ring the a black band that faded to white as it drew closer to the top, half ruby and half sapphire gem stones, taking all period and costing him a whopping 500,000 yen! Draco hurried back down the hall when he heard the bell chiming and manage to catch Alexis, Jasmine, and Mindy leaving Sir Sartyr's class, in turn they spotted him. Draco walked up to them, wrapping his arms around Alexis as she did the same, both still getting the usual sneering glares from other Obelisks, believing that their relationship was wrong.
"Enjoyed your free period?" Alexis asked him.
"It was nice to have some time to think and not worry about class work." Draco replied.
"Even though you had one before?' Jasmine asked.
"Ok, that time I was showing Blair around." Draco replied, "It was free period giving to me by a teacher, those don't count."
The girls began to agree with that statement, "Anyways, I used my free period to get this." Draco said holding the custom class ring, Alexis slightly gasping at it, while Jasmine and Mindy looked it over with awe.
"Draco." Alexis finally spoke, "You really shouldn't have."
"I know." He replied, "But I just couldn't help myself, getting you a ring that reflects me."
"Reflects you?" Jasmine asked before looking at the ring and back at Draco, "Oh! I see it."
"Yeah, so do I." Mindy added, "the black fading to white is his hair and the two gems are his eyes."
"This wouldn't have anything to do, with Harrington's little winner of that duel being my fiancée does it?" Alexis asked Draco, giving him a sly and teasing smirk.
"Maybe~." He replied, being just as sly.
They chuckled at the thought, and Alexis still took the ring and placed in on her ring finger, "So, what's on your 'to-do' list for the winter break?" she asked.
"Well, Mindy and I were thinking of heading back home to see our families." Jasmine replied.
"It's kind of the same for me." Draco added, "Got a message from my dad saying that my mom missed me."
The girls kind of teased a little on Draco being a little momma's boy, he just chuckled and shrugged it off. Mindy and Jasmine walked off to finish packing, leaving the two to themselves. Draco looked over at Alexis and smiled.
"What's your plan for the winter break?" he asked.
"Well, it was to return home." Alexis explained, "But, I got a call from my parents that they'll both be out of town for some extended family affairs."
"So, you'll be staying at the Academy?" Draco asked.
"That I am." She replied, "What about the others?"
"Syrus and Mana are going to head home for the holiday." Draco began, "Chumley said, he's going to stay and nap- no surprise there."
Alexis quietly chuckled shaking her head, "And Bastion is going to take the opportunity to try and find a formula to defeat my deck."
"Guess everyone is going to be busy." Alexis stated, sighing out before Draco took hold of her hand and began to walk down the hall.
"Draco? Where are we going?"
"Well, just a thought." He replied, "As much as I'm against it myself, why not join me?"
"You mean, go with you and see your parents?"
"Yeah." He replied, "I mean, it was only a matter of time before the opportunity showed itself, and I have no doubt-knowing my mother- she will want to see if you are 'worthy' of her son."
Alexis was clearly uneasy about that fact, "If she is a tough duelist like you said for your training." She stated, "How can I beat her?"
"I don't think you have to beat her." Draco replied, "Just put up a good fight. And a word of warning; She is a Blue-Eyes user."
"Wait, how can she be a Blue-Eyes user?" She asked, "Kaiba owns the only three Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards."
"Yeah, about that." He stated, "When the Battle City Tournament started, during day 5 I believe, Kaiba dueled my mother, expecting an easy win against a nobody as he put it."
"And it back fired?" Alexis asked him.
"Big time." Draco replied, "My mother summoned her ace card at the time, reducing the rest of his Life Points, and winning the first Blue-Eyes from him."
"I bet he didn't let that sit." She added.
"Nope, not an hour later, he dueled her again, while throwing the usual Kaiba rant 'I am the best duelist! A nobody like you can't defeat me!' you know the usual." Draco continued, "And well insult to injury, my mother beat him with the Blue-Eyes she won from him, winning the second one."
"And getting the third?" Alexis asked.
"His Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon against my mother's Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon." Draco replied.
"I never heard of Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon." She replied.
"Most haven't. It can attack twice, can't be destroyed in battle, and if it's the one attacking, the monster it battles is removed from the game." He explained.
Alexis using that info, pieced the third duel out, "So, your mother attacked Blue-Eyes Ultimate, taking the damage, surviving it, removed Ultimate from the duel, then attacked directly."
"That she did and won Kaiba's third and final Blue-Eyes, then told him, he was never the true master of them to begin with." Draco finished.
"Wait, if I recall correctly," She suddenly stated, "Didn't Kaiba own Obelisk the Tormentor?"
"At the time he did, but my mother didn't know, from the page on his info in the tournament, his strongest was the three Blue-Eyes." Draco replied.
They walked to the Slifer Dorm and into Draco's dorm room, luckily for him, Chumley wasn't in the room as he went to the computer, and began to call home as the computer rang, Alexis was getting a little anxious.
"I'm not so sure about this, Draco." She said to him.
"I'm with you on that." He replied, as the ringing on the computer stopped and a cam video opened up, showing his mother, disguiseless.
"Hello, Draco." Saffira answered, being the loving mother, she was, "Couldn't wait until tomorrow to talk?"
"Actually, I was calling you to tell you guys there is a slight change in plans." Draco told his mother.
"Are you staying at the Academy for the whole break?"
"No, the opposite, someone will be joining us." Draco said, parents are out of town and I invited a special person to join me."
Alexis smiled, hearing Draco calling her special, but was still shocked she was looking at a real Duel Monster, before she noticed that Alexis was in the room.
"Draco Kaitos!" she yelled out, "Why did you deliberately let someone see me?!"
"Because, Mom, she is the one who know about our family." Draco replied calmly, motioning with his hand for Alexis to move closer, as Saffira slightly glared, mostly at Draco.
"It's nice to finally meet you, Mrs. Kaitos." Alexis said, being polite as possible.
"So, you're the one that overheard Sophitia?" Saffira asked, slightly growling.
"Mom, you're growling at my girlfriend." Draco said, again calmly, "She is still trying to get used to it Mom. And seeing you, can make anyone uneasy."
"And just how has she been getting use to this?" she asked, before Suraasven, Kulaas, and Vahraniik appearing in the room, calming her down, "Oh, that's how."
"Did someone appear behind us?" Alexis asked Draco.
"Most likely your new friends." He replied.
"How overwhelm was she?" Saffira asked.
"Well, I thought to the point she didn't want to talk to me from keeping such a huge secret from her." Draco explained.
"But, just sitting there next to him, was enough for me to understand why he kept it hidden." Alexis added.
Draco noticed how his mother seemed either little or not convinced, "Mom. Alexis was the first one I had to use the Fusions."
"Wait?" she gasped, "She had you use a Fusion?"
"Iilahnuv, the Moon Dragon Guard." Draco replied.
"He ended up fusing myself with Kendov." Kulaas happily chimed in.
"And from what we heard from Kulaas, his duel with Alexis was the most fun he has had." The Grand Healer said.
Saffira, looked backed and forth between her son and Alexis, "Let me see if I'm getting this correctly." She said, "Your duel with each other was the most fun you had, yet she pushed your skills to Fusion Summon?"
"It was." Draco replied, "Not to mention I saved her from the Archfiends, which I'm aware you know of that."
Saffira sighed out and then looked at them, "No doubt your father would want to meet your special friend as he puts it." She said.
"I want you to try and get along with Alexis, Mom." Draco told her, "And I don't mean an act just to make me happy, I mean really get to know her."
"You mean like a girls' day out?" Alexis asked.
"That… could work." Saffira admitted, "She and I could spend a day together for me to get to know her."
"I think that would be fun!" Kulaas happily chimed.
"You do know it'll just be Alexis and Her Highness, right?' Suraasven asked.
"That's the plan, Kulaas." Saffira said, "It's just me and her."
Kulaas looked sadden, as Vahraniik pats her shoulder, "So, when should we expect you both?" Saffira asked.
"I think it leaves early tomorrow, doesn't it?" Draco asked, looking at Alexis.
"Yeah, around nine, and we'll be at the Domino City docks around two, maybe three." she replied.
"Alright, I'll tell your father."
"Thanks, Mom." Draco replied, "I'll see you soon."
"Same here, my little prince." Saffira said, making Draco groan and facepalm in embarrassment, making Alexis and the four Dragonesses giggle lightly. When the call ended, Alexis gave Draco a quick peck on the cheek before heading back to her Dorm room to pack up for the trip, while the three dragonesses continue to tag along.
"You know, I don't need any help." She told them.
"We know." Suraasven replied, "But we still like hanging out with you."
Alexis entered her room, and spotted Jasmine and Mindy talking and packing up, causing her to freeze up, as she looks behind her and still sees the dragonesses.
"Hey, Alexis." Jasmine said, "What's with the scared look?"
"In case you forgotten, they can't see us." Vahraniik spoke up.
"It's nothing, Jasmine." Alexis replied, "I was a little surprised you two were still here packing and not with your boyfriends."
"We are almost done with packing and then we'll spend the rest of the day with them." Jasmine replied.
"What about you?" Mindy asked, "Last time we checked your parents were out of town, did they come back?"
"Better." Alexis replied, smiling, "Draco convince his parents to let me be with them for the break."
Jasmine and Mindy began to squeal in delight, as did the three unseen dragonesses, Alexis just shook her head and began to pack up what she needed for the three-week break, the girls finished packing and went their separate ways for now. Heading back to Slifer Dorm, Alexis spotted Draco by a tree, apparently talking to himself, carefully walking up to him, she overheard him.
"I'm not the one you need to apologize to." He said, "You know very well, who you need talk to."
"Draco?" Alexis asked, as he looks over, slightly glaring at her and then back in front of him, "Well?" he asked.
"Draco? Who are you talking to?" Alexis asked, not seeing anyone.
"Sophitia!" Draco snarled, causing Alexis to slightly jump, before a dragoness appeared in front of him, and looked at Alexis.
"Wait, aren't you the one that got her nose broken?"
"Snout, and yes I am." Sophitia replied, "I'm also the one that is the reason in why you know the truth about the Young Lord."
"She was trying to apologize to me for what happened on Duel Spirit Day." Draco stated, "When the truth of the matter is, she should be apologizing to you."
"Why is that?" Alexis asked.
"What she said to me, was more meaning with, how I should act like a prince and not be with a human." He replied, making Alexis look slightly sadden from that statement.
"Which I have learn is a mistake." Sophitia said, "The Grand Healer and the Princesses, sided with that you are the Young Lord's choice and I should as I always had, believed in his choices."
"So, why did you speak out of turn?" Alexis asked, clearly unsure of the phrase as she looked at Draco, nodding at her.
"I guess, I was just like the Queen." She replied, "seeing the Young Lord as a small dragonling that didn't pass my hips in height."
"Well, judging by how tall you are, about 8 ft. I don't blame you." Alexis stated with a slight chuckle.
"I'm a quarter under 8 ft." Sophitia stated, chuckling as well. Draco gave a small smile seeing the Royal Guard swallowing her pride and admitted she was wrong.
The rest of the day was uneventful, talking with friends with their plans, Draco dueling some entitled Obelisks, before nightfall spreads across the sky. Early the next morning, all the students heading home for the break waited at the docks, again separated by dorm, minus of course Draco's friend group, having Jasmine, Mindy, and Alexis with himself, Syrus, and Mana. Draco let out a tired yawn from the early wake up call, before they got the all clear to board the boat. Immediately, the Obelisks tried to board first, but one staff of the ship stopped them.
"Sorry, new boarding orders." He told them.
"You seem to forget who we are!" one Obelisk barked out, "We are the elites of Duel Academy and you will respect us!"
"These came from the Chancellor himself." The staff hand replied, "The Number One Student and his friends are the first to board."
"Is there a reason you didn't say that in the first place?" Zane asked as he began to walk to the boarding ramp., before the staff hand stopped him.
"By the information given to us by the Chancellor, you are not the Number One Student anymore, Zane Truesdale." He told Zane, "The Number One Student is Draco Kaitos."
All of the Obelisks began to protest about that statement, "Someone called me?" Draco asked, in the middle of a yawn, "Sorry, I'm not really a morning person."
"That Slacker is the first to board the ship!?" the same Obelisk yelled out, "Filth like that doesn't deserve to be the first on the ship for the Elites!"
"Shut up." Zane told the Obelisk, shocking the dorm, "If the Chancellor said that Slifer is Number One then so be it. Continue, and you might get expelled."
"Draco Kaitos." The Staff hand called out to him, "You and your friends are the first to board."
Draco slowly stood up, stretching out, before making his way to the boarding ramp, once on the ship another staff of the ship walked them to a private section of the ship.
"I never saw this part of the ship." Draco muttered.
"It's reserved for the best Student of Duel Academy." The staff hand replied, "For about four years, it was only for Zane Truesdale."
They all stopped at a door, that the staff hand opened then bowed respectfully as they entered it.
"Holy shit." Draco slightly gasped out, seeing the large private room, with a complete bathroom, and two guest rooms.
"My brother had this room for him and his friends?" Syrus asked.
"Actually, he had it all to himself." She replied, "Don't know why he wanted the room to himself."
"We can't either." Mana stated, "This is amazing. It's like a five-star room."
"I think it's because he doesn't have any real friends." Draco stated, "Those that hang with him only want the spotlight of being 'friends' with the top."
"But those other Obelisks didn't seem to want to hang with you?" Mindy pointed out.
"If you weren't Alexis' friend, would you hang out with a Slifer?" Draco asked her.
"Being honest with you," Jasmine yelled from a guest room, "I wouldn't. If I wasn't friends with Alexis."
"Yeah, we were thinking like the typical Obelisks." Mindy admitted.
"there is one rule you need to be aware of." The Staff hand mentioned.
"And that is?" Draco asked.
"Girls and boys are not allowed to share a bed." She replied, "There is- or was- the rumor that you and Ms. Rhodes are an item, but unfortunately you cannot share a bed."
"Speaking of which." Draco stated, again yawning, "Again, not a morning person."
"You want to get some sleep?' Alexis asked, getting a tired nod from him, "Alright, we'll let you get some sleep, again."
"I wouldn't mind if any of you came back to wake me in two hours." He replied, before collapsing on the main bed.
"Before any of you leave," the Staff stated, and held six key cards, "each one of you gets a keycard allowing you into this room."
"I'll just place one on the bed side table for Draco and tell him about when he wakes up." Alexis said, taking two of the keys and placed one down for him, "Alright, let's give Draco the peace and quiet he wants for now."
They all agreed, pocketing a key card each and left the room for now. They walked around for a little bit, Mindy and jasmine slightly teasing Alexis with spending time with Draco for the break.
"Come on girls." Alexis said through her blush, "It's not a big deal."
"Well, the best part is you get to see Draco's parents." Syrus said, "They are nice, from what I know."
"You met his mother?" Alexis asked.
"Yeah, she was really nice." Syrus replied, "although Draco warned me, that if she gets mad that's the end of you."
"Is that what he said?" Mana asked slightly worried.
"He did, and I think it was from experience." He replied.
They continue to talk, until Alexis looked at her PDA and saw about two hours had passed, she told them she would head back to the room, leaving them to do what they want. Heading to the second-floor deck of the ship, Alexis made her way to the door, slid the card into the locking mechanism, and walked into the room, and immediately saw five Dragonesses in the room; Sophitia, Kulaas, Suraasven, Vahraniik, and Mindokah.
"What's going on here?" Alexis asked.
"The Princesses wanted to see the room and just couldn't wait for the Young Lord to be awoken." Sophitia replied, "And our Scholar got excited wit ha scroll she retrieved from her mission, and learned that it was one with healing magic."
"She wanted to share what she found out with me." Vahraniik added.
"And your Scholar is?"
"Oh, that would be me." Mindokah chimed, "I'm the Dragon Guard Scholar."
The white scaled Dragoness stood up from the bed, "Name's Mindokah."
"Nice to meet you, but how is it I can see you like the others?" Alexis asked, "I mean, Sophitia was only seen by Draco, until he ordered her to let me see her."
"Well, my Uncle told me about you, so I figured why wait." She replied.
Alexis looked confused, before the Royal Guard tapped her shoulder, "She means the captain."
"Oh. Well, I came back since, two hours have passed and need to wake Draco up." Alexis said.
"We understand." Kulaas said, stretching on one of the guest beds, "By the gods it feels amazing to be on the open water again."
"And that open wind it just as amazing." Suraasven added.
Alexis smiled at them, before walking to the main bed, sitting down as she looked at Draco sleeping peacefully, smiling at him before softly rubbing his back and shoulder. Sophitia silently grumbled and twitched from her post.
"Draco?" Alexis asked, lightly shaking him, "It's been two hours."
He lightly stirred in his sleep, rolling over and slowly opening his eyes, seeing Alexis smiling at him.
"Hey." He replied, "It's already been two hours?"
"Yeah, it has been. We are in the middle of the ocean." She replied.
Draco slowly sat up on the bed, stretched out, moaning out as his knuckles and spine popped loudly.
"Ooh, shit that felt good." He moaned.
"Does that happen often?" Alexis asked, hearing the pops.
"It's rare for that to happen, but when it does, it feels amazing." He replied.
"It's something that happens about every three or four months." Vahraniik stated, "You need to remember he took a serious form of Martial Arts in his younger years."
"Anyways, where's everyone else?" Draco asked.
"Waiting at the eating area of the ship." Alexis replied, standing up from the bed.
Draco slowly but surely got out of the bed, stretched again before standing up next to her. They both left the room, and headed back to their friends, Draco holding her hand and looking at the ring on her finger. Alexis noticed his staring and just lean her head on his shoulder.
"Couldn't keep your eyes off the ring you gave me?" she asked.
"Can't really blame me." He replied, "It looks good on you."
"Wonder what your parents would think of it."
"Probably ask me how much it cost." He replied, chuckling, "And my mother is going to have a long talk with me."
"I'm sure if you just explained it all, she'll understand why." Alexis said as she chuckled.
Getting to the table with the rest of their friends and answering the usual questions about his nap, Draco just shrugged them off, told off many Obelisks, just wanting one day to just hang with his friends and not deal with assholes. Some of them trying to pull the same move Chazz did on Mana, saying they can't turn down an official duel. However, Alexis told them since it wasn't the Academy, they can use that self-made Obelisk rule as it's not in the official Academy rulebook. Throughout most of the ride to the mainland, in order to spend time with friends, Draco and his friends had to return to the private room, much to their irritation.
"Ugh! I can't believe those Obelisks!" Jasmine groaned out, "It's like they can't stand that a Slifer is equal to them."
"That's because they can't." Mana told her, "They treat the Slifers like trash, believing they can't be anything."
"And it seems my Obelisk Hunt means nothing to them." Draco stated, "Those who wanted to challenge me? I already beat them."
"Geez." Mindy groaned, "Why can't they take the hint?"
"I'm more surprised Zane didn't try to duel you to be Number One again." Syrus muttered.
"When he spoke to the other Obelisks," Alexis said, "it was like, he learned from his defeat."
Everyone, including the unseen friends, looked at her, stunned, "That'll be a surprised." Draco said, "Zane, being Number One for nearly four years, swallowed his pride."
"Attention, Students!" a voice over the intercom spoke up, "We are approaching Domino City port. We'll be docking in about ten minutes."
"Huh, the time really did fly." Draco stated, "Of course I think it would have flown faster, if those idiots left us alone."
Everyone on broad the ship began to gather around the railing, waving to parents and family, Draco took the key cards and handed them to a staff of the ship, before heading to the railing to join his friends, looking around at the adults greeting the ship and students, Draco spotted his folks, with ease, since they seem to ear clothing that matches their actual form.
"I can see my parents." Syrus said, getting Draco's attention and looked at where Syrus was pointing, seeing a man with Syrus' hair color, short in length and kept neat, wearing an expensive suit, next to him a woman with similar hair to Zane's but a tad darker and longer, wearing the in fashion dress, smiling as she spotted Syrus.
The ship came to a halt and the boarding ramps attached, allowing the students to depart from the ship and onto the docks. Mana, Jasmine and Mindy went their separate ways, leaving Draco, Syrus, and Alexis to their own. AS they get to the solid ground, they walked up to Syrus' parents.
"There is a youngest boy." His father said, rubbing Syrus' spiked hair, "We had gotten word, you are the best in your dorm."
"Well, I tied for second best in the Slifer dorm." Syrus replied and corrected.
Tied for second?" his mother asked, "Then who is above you?"
"That would be me, Mrs. Truesdale." Draco replied, "I am Draco Kaitos, and the first friend Syrus made before we even set foot in the Academy."
They both looked at him, giving a slight stern look in their eyes, "Ah, yes." Mr. Truesdale stated, "The usurper."
"Dad." Syrus groaned, "He challenged Zane to a duel and Zane lost. Draco didn't usurp anyone."
"Plus, I only dueled him, because he was trying to get Syrus to leave the Academy before our Tag Duel." Draco explained.
"And why would Zane do that?" Mrs. Truesdale asked, more like demanded an answer.
"He was telling Syrus that he didn't belong at Duel Academy and his acceptance to the Academy was a mistake." Draco replied, "I wasn't going to let someone talk down to my little buddy."
Syrus' parents slightly glared at Draco as he stared back at them, not intimidated by their stares.
"Mom, Dad. Drop it please?" Syrus asked his parents, "It's not important, just that Zane finally lost a duel and Draco is now Duel Academy's best student."
They didn't say much of anything as Zane approached them and the four walked off into a limousine, and driving off.
"That could have gone slightly better." Draco muttered.
"Don't blame yourself for the first impression." Alexis told him, "Zane being the top for nearly his entire time at the Academy only to lose it in his final year? Any parent would see the one that beat him as such."
"Well, technically, Zane has until the final duel of the year to try and win the title back from me." He stated, then looked at his parents talking to each other, "Guess we detoured long enough."
Alexis took hold of his hand and smiled at him. They walked over to them, in which Krono noticed them and smiled, getting Sophi to turn around.
"Wondered when you were going to come and find us." Krono told him.
"Well, decided to meet Syrus' parents first." Draco replied.
"I saw that." He stated and looked over to Alexis, after seeing them holding hands, "And who is this?"
Draco looked at Alexis, she smiled warmly, "This is Alexis Rhodes." Draco replied, "She's my girlfriend. Alexis, this is my Father, Krono and my Mother, Sophi."
"I thought his mother was Saffira." Alexis thought, "But he did say during Duel Spirit Day is the day his parents can walk around without an illusion, so, having a name for her illusion is understandable."
"It's nice to meet you both, Mr. and Mrs. Kaitos." Alexis spoke, kindly.
"Tell me Alexis," Sophi spoke, "How is it you and my son became an item?"
Draco and Alexis looked around at the crowd that surrounded them, in fear someone would over hear, "It's more of something to answer at home." Draco replied, eying his mother sending a hidden message.
"You can answer the question when we get home." Sophi replied, motioning her husband to lead the way to a private area.
"Right, don't want some upstarts to think it'll work for them." Krono stated, "This way you two."
As the four walked away from the docks, Draco looked on top of the building they were walking, seeing Vonzun, watching to ensure no one followed them, he looked and gave a nod as they all round the corner.
"Alright, we are away from parrying ears." Sophi said, "How did you and Draco got together?"
"You already know, Mom." Draco replied, "I was in a Shadow Duel, with a man named, Titan, using Archfiends, and if it wasn't for Silziigaaf, I wouldn't have won the duel and it was Silziigaaf that return Alexis' soul to her."
His parents looked at each, "They never reported back to you?" Draco asked.
"We haven't a heard a word from that duel." Krono replied.
"The Guards must have been too exhausted after the duel." Sophi added.
"Well, now you know." Draco told them, "Plus when she did learn about our family secret, she didn't leave me."
"I wanted to work through it." Alexis added, "I wanted to be with Draco."
Sophi's eyes pan down to Alexis' hand and noticed the ring she was wearing and the coloration it had.
"Krono." She simply said, as he looks over at her, "Look at the ring she is wearing."
Both Draco and Alexis looked at each other worried, however Alexis lifted her hand, allowing them to see it more clearly.
"What about it?" he asked.
"Seriously, Sweetheart?" Sophi asked deadpanned, raising her right hand to her husband, looking at the black metal and the ruby stone, raising his right hand, looking at the white metal and sapphire stone, then looked at the ring on Alexis' left hand.
"Draco?" he asked, "why does her ring have the metal of your hair and stones of your eyes?"
"Did you propose to her?" Sophi asked, slightly growling.
"That is a story best told at home." He replied, "May we please go there?"
His mother looked up at the building as Vonzun looked around them before looking back down, nodding his head.
"There is no one around us." She stated, "Krono, the Spirit Gate."
"The what now?" Alexis asked, Draco looking at her, sighing out.
"You remember when Duel Spirit Day ended? Kinbok said the Gateway was closing." He reminded her.
"Yes, I remember that." She replied, "In a way, my parents can open personal Gateways." Draco explained, "But not into the Spirit World more like a different location in our world."
Krono reached out in front of him, forming the Spirit Gate, on the other side was the front door of their house.
"Just stay close to Draco." Krono told Alexis, "His Spiritual Energy should serve as a shield so you won't feel drained."
"Drained?" Alexis asked.
"Those who are not familiar with powers or energies of the Spirit World will feel drained of energy." Sophi stated, "But just in case, we'll only do it once."
Alexis gulped loudly as Draco took hold of her arm and held her close to him, they all walked through the Gate, appearing in front of the house, Alexis panted out loudly, slightly trembling as they stood in front of the house. Draco looked at her as he held her.
"You alright?" he asked her.
"Y-yeah." She replied panting out, "It-it wasn't as bad as I—"
Alexis suddenly stopped talking and began fall, before Draco caught her, kneeling down to catch her weight as well. "Alexis?"
Sophi looked her over and sighed out, "Surprised she had energy after that. For a human, she has some strength in her."
"Let's get inside." Krono suggested.
Draco carefully left Alexis up and carried her inside. After getting into the house and laying Alexis on the couch, Vahraniik looked her over, being the Grand Healer, she could still help in her Spirit form, looking over Alexis for a bit, she stood and let out a happy sigh.
"There isn't anything to worry about." She told them, "She's just exhausted."
"All she needs is rest?" Krono asked.
"Yes, My Lord." she replied.
"Now Draco, the ring?" Sophi asked, shifting out of the illusion.
"In a nutshell, a prick of an Obelisk was flirting with Alexis, assumed I blackmailed her to date me, and then proceeded to challenge me to a duel with Alexis being the prize."
"The hell do you mean the prize?" Krono asked.
"I mean, that dick said who won the duel became Alexis' fiancée." Draco explain, "When I tried to refuse that condition, he stooped even lower, by saying that I refused the duel I could no longer have Alexis."
"You and her were against this condition of his?" Saffira asked.
"We both did. But he was very delusional."
"That doesn't explain the ring." She slightly snapped.
"Mom, the ring was to get that dick to back off!" Draco said, "Incase he wouldn't accept his lost to me and try to say stupid shit like 'No ring? Then the beautiful Alexis can still be free from scum like you!' or something like that."
"So, you're not engaged with her?" Saffira questioned.
"We only played along to piss that Harrington guy off." Draco replied, "And it worked."
Saffira looked at the ring once more, than back to Draco, "How much did you spend on it?"
Draco's eyes snapped in fear hearing the question as he rubbed the back of his neck, "Well."
"Draco?" his mother asked again, more firmly, "How much did you spend on that ring?"
"I think the craftsman had to charge me for the material he used and messed up with, since he said he never did what I asked before."
"Draco?" Saffira, once more asked, snarling this time, causing Draco to gulp loudly.
"Umm, 500,000 yen." He muttered.
"I'm sorry?" she asked, "I believe I didn't hear you correctly. Did you just mutter 500,000 yen?!"
"Yes." He replied, bracing for the fury.
"Draco Kaitos!"
Draco looked over to his farther, slightly glaring and growling out as black flames surround his body and Saffira looking slightly shocked herself.
"You spent that much on a ring?!" he demanded, 'Your mother's and my wedding band didn't cost that much!"
"Dad, like I said the person that made the class rings, never did what I asked before, I think he wanted the extra charge so he could buy replacement materials."
"Lord Krono." Vahraniik chimed in, "May I need to remind you, that there is a guest in the household who is in need of rest?"
"Krono." Saffira spoke up, "I, too, am furious with how much Draco spent on a simple ring. But I recall something similar happened to us the first few years in this world."
"That was different Saffira." Krono replied.
"Dad, I didn't mean to spend that much." Draco defended himself, "I wasn't told the price until the finish product."
They all heard a slight groaning sound as they all look back seeing Alexis stirring and sitting up.
"Alexis, you should be resting." Draco told her, "The Spirit Gate took a bit of energy from you."
"Well, it's kind of hard to get some rest with three dragons yelling at each other." She stated.
"Hmm, you have a lot more fight in you than I first thought." Saffira stated, Alexis looking over at her thinking it was an insult.
"Is that so?" she asked, trying to sit up on the couch.
"Alexis." Draco slightly pleaded, "Now is not the time."
"Actually Draco, it is the time." His mother spoke up and slightly glared at Alexis, "So, even in your weaken tired state, you still think you have the energy to take me on?"
"Saffira." Krono said.
"An-anytime, anywhere." Alexis panted out, glaring back.
"Why do I get the feeling we can't stop them?" Draco asked his father.
"Because we can't." he replied.
"In our back yard, right now." Saffira growled out, "Hope you didn't come empty handed."
"I didn't." Alexis replied, pulling her Academy Duel Disk out and slipping it on.
Draco, a word." Krono told his son, walking into the kitchen. Draco looking at his mother slipping her standard Duel Disk on and began to walk to the back yard. He then looked at Alexis as she slowly got to her feet, legs still shaking from the Spirit Gate, before following his father.
"What is it Dad?"
"I should have mention this to you last night." He replied, "The creator of the Duel Monster cards?"
"Maximillion Pegasus?" Draco asked.
"The very same." Krono replied, "He gave us a call a few nights ago, after we received a package, asking us to test a new branch of cards."
"New branch?" Draco asked, "What do you mean new branch?"
"Hard to explain." He replied, "The point is the cards we received seem to be supports to the White Dragon."
"White Dragon?" Draco repeated, before realizing what his father meant, "Oh shit. Mom's about to use them on Alexis!"
Draco quickly ran to the back door, his father following slowly. Getting outside, seeing both Alexis as Saffira activating their Duel Disks. Draco tried to walk out to get between them, only to get his shoulder grabbed by his father.
"DUEL!"

"I'll start this duel off." Saffira announced, drawing her first card, "Let us see if you have what it takes."
"I'll do more than that." Alexis snapped back.
"We'll see, I summon the Tuner Monster, Maiden with Eyes of Blue, in attack position!" Saffira called out. Appearing on her field, was a young woman, with long silver-white hair, some parts of it braded, wearing a ceremonial dress, with the mid-section, having white patterns with blue in two spots, resembling an ancient craving of dragon, wearing a bracelet on each arm, and having deep blue eyes.

"A Tuner?" Alexis questioned, puzzled.
"What the hell is a Tuner?" Draco asked just as confused.
"It's part of that new branch of cards I mention to you." Krono told Draco.
"A new group of monsters, I never heard of." Alexis thought, "Her first monster has zero Attack Points, and she placed it in Attack Mode."
"I'll end my turn with this face down." Saffira called out, breaking Alexis' train of thought, with one card appeared behind the Maiden.
"OK, now I'm sure it's a trap." Alexis thought with a slight smile, "She wants me to attack, so her trap gets triggered and I will pay the price."
She drew her first card, looking through her hand; starting with Etoile Cyber, Double Passé, Elegant Ribbon, The Warrior Returning Alive, Hollow Life Barrier, and Polymerization.
"I think Draco's luck is rubbing off. This one of the luckiest hands I have ever started with." She thought, "Alright, I'll summon Etoile Cyber in Attack mode."
Her familiar monster appeared in front of her, taking a battle ready and yet graceful pose ready for the order to be carried out.

Draco gulped slightly remembering his first encounter with this monster, "I'll also, place one card face down and activate the Equip Spell Elegant Ribbon!"
The ribbons around Etoile Cyber's arms before to sparkle as if they were replaced.
"With this Equip Spell card, my Etoile Cyber is immune to your Spells and Traps." Alexis told Saffira, "So if you thought that face down was going to help you, it's not. Etoile Cyber, attack her Maiden!"
The dancer lunged towards the Maiden, the ribbons sparkled the sun light off, that shown on Saffira's face down, preventing her from using it, however she just sighed out.
"How disappointing." She spoke out, catching Alexis off guard, "I expected more from you. By attacking my Maiden, you activate her Special Ability!"
"A Special Ability?!" Alexis gasped out, "Your field was a double trap then!"
"That's right." Saffira responded, "By attacking my Maiden, I can switch her Battle Position, to cancel your attack."
Saffira took hold of her Monster card, shifting it side-ways on the Duel Disk, which caused the hologram of the monster to kneel down taking praying pose.
"I can't believe I fell for that." Alexis groaned out.
"You did more than that." Saffira stated, "Thanks to my Maiden, I can now summon the dragon she serves and worships!"
One card shot from her deck, as Saffira took hold of it, deck getting reshuffled, "By the markings of my Maiden's dress as well, with her hair and eyes, you should know who I'm summoning now." Saffira told Alexis before placing the monster she took from her deck, a very familiar dragon, snarled out as it appeared from the shimmering light before letting loose its signature roar.

The large dragon stood behind the Maiden, death glaring at Etoile Cyber and Alexis.
"Oh man, I never thought I would have to face THE Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" Alexis thought, "And Draco said she won all three of them from Kaiba."
"I'll throw this card face down, and end my turn." Alexis spoke up, "Draco was right, I can feel my legs about to give out. If that dragon attacks me, I don't think I'll have the energy to get back up."
Saffira drew her next card and gave a slight grin, "I'll activate my face down." She announced, "The Spell, Cards of Consonance."
The card revealed two hands on each end of the image, one showing a white stone and the other two back sides of cards.
"And that does what exactly?" Alexis asked, "Simply put, I discard one Dragon Tuner that has 1000 ATK or less from my hand to the grave and I draw two cards." Saffira replied.
She looked over her hand once more, "I'll discard this one, The White Stone of the Ancients." She called out, sending it to the Grave and drew the top two cards from her deck. Looking at her two new cards.
"I'll just end my turn, which will activate the Special Ability of the card I sent to the Grave."
"A Monster Ability that activates at the end of the turn?" Alexis asked. "That's right, The White Stone of the Ancients, if sent to the Grave, I can Special Summon another Blue-Eyes from my deck!" Saffira responded, removing, reshuffling, and summoning the second dragon.
"This isn't good." Draco muttered, "Mom has everything she needs to summon Twin Burst on her next turn."
"Alright, let's see if I can do anything about this." Alexis told Saffira, drawing her card, "If I could just get Cyber Blader out with Fusion Weapon I can turn this duel around."
However, the card she drew would increase her chances, "I activate Pot of Greed!"
"Luck of the draw, huh?" Saffira thought glancing over to Draco, "It seems my son's luck has influence her."
Alexis drew two cards, eyes widen slightly before she gave an amusing huff, "I activate Polymerization!" she called out, "And fuse together my Etoile Cyber and Blader Skater, to summon Cyber Blader!"
The vortex appeared, drawing in both of Alexis' monsters, before the Fusion skated out of it and posed in front of the two dragons and Maiden.

"That's not all, since my Elegant Ribbon went to the Graveyard, I can force one of your Monsters to go to the grave, and I think I'll get rid of that Maiden of yours!"
"How foolish." Saffira growled out, "By targeting my Maiden I can use her Special Ability to summon my third Blue-Eyes!"
"It also works with being a target to a Spell, Trap or Monster Ability?!" Draco thought in his head, looking at Alexis, worriedly.
"Sorry to say, you don't." Alexis said with a smile, "While you have three Monsters out, all of your Spells, Traps and Monsters can't use their Abilities."
Saffira's and Draco's eyes widen hearing that as the Elegant Ribbon wrapped around the Maiden, until an explosion went off destroying the card. Saffira sighed out and sent the card to the Grave.
"And now even better news for me." Alexis said, catching Saffira's attention, "Now that you have two monsters Cyber Blader's Attack Points double!"
Cyber Blader ATK/2100-4200
"So, a different Ability based on the Monsters I control?" Saffira asked.
"That's right, now I activate Fusion Weapon, giving my Monster a nice boost!"
Krono raised a brow watching the right arm of Alexis' Monster become like a bio-weapon attachment.
Cyber Blader ATK/4200-5700
"Now Cyber Blader! Attack the First Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" Alexis ordered her monster, "Fusion Shot!"
Cyber Blader took aim at the first dragon that was summoned, charging up the attack and firing a bolt of energy at the White Dragon, on collision the dragon was engulf in an explosion, Saffira groaned and growled out, shielding herself from the dust the explosion kicked up with her wing.

"She managed to harm Saffira first." Krono thought, "And dropped her below the 2000 mark."
"I can't believe it." Draco thought, dumbfounded, "Alexis dealt the first blow and it was heavy!"
"That's all I'll do for now." Alexis proudly said, "Honestly it's really all I can do, I can't stop my legs from shaking."
Saffira looked at Alexis with a small smirk before drawing her card, "Well, seeing how this card helped you, I'll use my Pot of Greed!" she called out.
Drawing the two cards from her deck, Saffira looked at them and smiled, "Well, seems it helped me as well."
"Oh great." Alexis muttered.
"I activate the Ritual Spell, Hymn of Light!" Saffira roared out, appearing on her side of the field seem to be the inside of a cathedral, and light beaming through the windows on opposite sides of each other, creating an alchemic ritual circle.
"Hymn of Light?" Alexis asked, "I never heard of that Ritual."
"I sacrifice my Blue-Eyes on my field!" Saffira announced as the White Dracon slightly flew into the circle before disintegrating into light particles, "In order to summon; myself!"
Alexis and Draco's eyes widen as his mother placed a card with herself on the field before walking out to the battle field.

"You summoned yourself to the field?!" Alexis asked.
"I am a Duel Monster after all." Saffira replied, "But just like you, I also have a unique weapon. Ritual Weapon!"
Sliding the card into the slot, Saffira then held out her right arm, and a golden gauntlet appeared, with a small round shield on top of her hand, Saffira clutched her fist as the small shield shot two golden rods at each end of it, and bends back until each end is parallel to each other, and a small beam of light from each end, collided as the beams met at the middle, then the light shot into an insignia, that looked like the Millennium insignia and extended under the shield forma and crossbow bolt.

"And like the Fusion Weapon counterpart, I gain 1500 Attack Points."
(Note: I realized that both Fusion and Ritual Weapon also give 1500 DEF as well, however I think the Anime version only did the ATK boost, if not; then I'll just add the anime condition of a 1500 boost based on the position of the monster.)
"I didn't know there was a counterpart to Fusion Weapon." Alexis gasped out.
"Now you do." Saffira replied, "Now I attack! Ritual Crossbow Shot!"
The light crossbow bolt shot forward, impaling Cyber Blader in the chest, and faded out as Alexis groans softly.
Alexis LP:4000-3600
"Hmm, I see now." Saffira stated, "One Monster; Can't be destroyed. Two Monsters; Double Attack Points. Three Monsters; nullifies all my Spell, Traps, and Monsters."
"Listing all of my Cyber Blader's Abilities?" Alexis asked.
"I am." Saffira replied, "Now to finish my turn. First, I'll use White Stone of the Ancients other Ability."
Saffira opened her hand, causing the golden crossbow to retrack back into the shield as her Graveyard shot the card she announced.
"It has another Ability?" Alexis asked, "How powerful are these Tuner cards?"
"It's other Ability, allows me to remove it form my Grave and from play." Saffira explained, taking the card and slipping it into her hip sash, "And then, I can add a Blue-Eyes to my hand from the Grave."
Once more, another card ejected from Saffira's Grave and she added it to her hand, "Now to end my turn, I activate my own Special Ability."
"You have one yourself?" Alexis gasped out.
"I have three in fact. That I can use the turn I am Ritual Summoned or when a LIGHT Monster is sent to the Grave." Saffira replied.
"Mom has three Abilities?!" Draco asked his father.
"She does." He replied.
"My first Ability." Saffira announced, "Lets me randomly discard a card in your hand. Which I call 'Cleansing Light'."
"Ok." Alexis replied.
"My second Ability, allows me to draw two cards, but I'll have to discard one card from my hand. 'Light Charity and Donation'."
"Why do I have a feeling she named them all that has to do with light?" Alexis thought.
"My last, and most used Ability," Saffira said looking at Alexis as her eyes shown bright gold, "lets me select a LIGHT Monster and return it to my hand. Which I'll be using. Light of Resurrection!"
Saffira's Grave gave off a blinding light, not too blindly since Alexis wasn't close enough for it to hurt her eyes, and Saffira's second Blue-Eyes emerged from the Grave, letting her add it to her hand.
Alexis slightly panted out as she drew her card, and quickly looked through her hand.
"Ok, since she is one of the two that did train Draco in dueling." She thought, "No doubt she also has Ancient Rules to summon that Blue-Eyes again, and if she does, and I switch my Blader to Defense Mode."
She began to think it'll be the same with her Duel with Draco, until she looked on her field and still have a face down card.
"I completely forgot about Hollow Life Barrier. I must have been intimidated by the two dragons I forgotten about it."
"All I can do is switch my Cyber Blader to Defense Mode." Alexis told Saffira, "And thanks to Fusion Weapon, the 1500 boost I get goes to my Monster's Defense as well."
Switching her card sideways, Cyber Blader kneeled down and crossed her arms, shielding her chest.
Cyber Blader ATK/3600-2100 : DEF/800-2300
"Hmm, 2300 Defense, huh?" Saffira questioned Alexis' move, drawing a card to start her move, and began to chuckled lightly.
"What's so funny?" Alexis asked.
"Just that this duel ended so soon." Saffira replied, "I activate my Polymerization!"
Draco gasped out, as Alexis' eyes widen, "Oh boy." Krono slightly growled.
"I fuse the two Blue-Eyes in my hand!" Saffira announced, "Become the unkillable Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon!"
The fusing vortex appeared as two Blue-Eyes White Dragons flown up to the spiral, before a new dragon descended as the vortex dissipated and land next to Saffira, being like a Blue-Eyes White Dragon, but with two heads on a single body as well as neon blue markings throughout its body, both heads which let out the signature White Dragon roar.

"Shit just like before." Alexis thought, "but this time it's different."
"Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon, attack!" Saffira ordered, "Twin Lightning Burst attack!"
One of the heads began to generate bolts of plasma in its mouth, before they formed into a large ball of white lightning, it reared its head back ready to fire.
"I activate my Trap card, Hollowed Life Barrier!" Alexis announced, revealing her card, "I'll discard one card and this turn I take no damage and my monsters can't be destroyed in battle!"
"Unfortunately for you, my dragon's blasts removes the monster it battles if it's not destroyed from the battle." Saffira stated.
The head lunged forward, letting out a stream of white plasma, towards the barrier protected monster. Alexis watched as the barrier held back the attack, sighing out in relief, before it began to crack. She watched the cracks get larger and larger before the barrier shattered and the blast consumed her monster, as a silhouette of her monster was seen in the blast, before evaporating.
"Since you don't take any damage, there is no point in me attacking again." Saffira said, "I end my turn. But since a LIGHT Monster was sent to my Grave. My Ability activates. Cleansing Light!"
A small beam of light shot from Saffira's right hand and right at the only card in Alexis' hand. She sighed out and discarded it.
"Son, I think your girl lost." Krono told Draco.
"Dad, Alexis is tough." He replied, "She would fight to the end."
"But?"
"But you are right. She doesn't have the energy."
Alexis reached up for her next card, until she collapsed to her kneels and lean forward on to her hands, as she panted out and slightly sweat.
"I-I c-can't." she panted out.
"What was that?" Saffira growled out, "Don't tell me that's it?!"
Draco growled quietly seeing Alexis on the ground, "Alexis!"
She gasped out hearing her name being called and looked at Draco.
"You can't give up!" he told her, "You have gotten this far! See it through to the end!"
He gave her a reassuring smile as she returned it and grunted out as she struggled to stand. Saffira looked on watching her try to stand back up.
"How? She had no energy after withstanding my last attack, yet Draco's words seemed to restore what small amount she had left." She thought, "Maybe, Kendov was right. Maybe, they are meant for each other. However, that matter will be determined when this duel is over."
"I-I draw!" Alexis called out, drawing her card and looked at it, "I activate Card of Sanctity!"
"Well, I'll be damned." Saffira muttered smiling to herself.
Saffira drew three cards, while Alexis drew a full hand. Alexis looked through her new cards, "I activate Machine Angel Ritual!" Alexis announced, "I send Cyber Angel Idaten and my Cyber Gymnast to the Grave!"
"Alexis has Rituals as well?" Draco thought to himself, "I really got lucky, if I ended the duel before she was able to summon those cards."
"I Ritual Summon, Cyber Angel Vrash!" Alexis announced, placing the card on her Disk, the Monster appeared, female, four arms, six wings of light, long raven hair wearing a skintight suit, light purple on the outer part, pink in the inner part, knee high white boots, the head ordainment being like a small pile of peaches, like an offering to the gods of Japan, and on the Monster's back a large golden metal ring.

"Hmm, so now your Angel even rivals my current strength." Saffira pointed out.
"However, Vrash has her own Ability." Alexis said, smiling, "When she is Ritual Summoned all, Monsters you control that were summoned from your Extra Deck, are destroyed and you lose 1000 Life Points for each!"
The ring on Vrash's back began to glow brightly as the light shown from it, formed a similar ring on the ground slowly moving to Twin Burst Dragon.
"You think you can destroy my Dragon so easily?' Saffira asked, in a mocking tone.
"I don't think, I know." Alexis replied, "Cyber Angel Vrash, shine your light on her dragon and send it to the Grave!"
The ring of light shown on Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon, before shining brighter and brighter.
"I think not." Saffira said, "I activate the Tuner Monster, Servant with Eyes of Blue's Special Ability."
"What?" Alexis asked, "That Monster isn't on the field."
"It activates in my hand." Saffira replied, "By sending it to the Grave any Blue-Eyes I control are save from being destroyed by your cards, this turn!"
A transparent man, wearing tattered clothing, short white silver hair, and blue eyes appeared on the field, as Saffira discard a card, using his small body compared to the dragon's to shield it from the ring of light, the light continue to grow brighter until the entire field was bathed in the light. When it faded, Alexis looked at Saffira's side of the field and her eyes widen, as the two-headed dragon was still there.
"Damn." Alexis muttered, "But I can still have you lose 1000 Life Points. Vrash attack Twin Burst Dragon!"
Orbs of light appeared on the ring before rapidly firing out towards the dragon, causing small bursts as they hit the ground around and on the dragon. Saffira groaned and growled out, again using her wing to shield against the dirt and dust the attack kicked up.
Saffira LP:1300-300
"I have never seen your mother that low on Life Points, besides in duels with me." Krono told Draco.
"Is that all you'll do this turn?!" Saffira snarled.
"For now." Alexis replied.
Saffira drew her card and smiled as she looked at it, "Well, seems the duel will end in my victory." She said.
"How so?" Alexis asked, "You only have 300 Life Points and I barely took damage."
"With this, Gift of the White Dragon!" Saffira announced, sliding the card in the spell and trap slot, showing the large hologram of the card, image shows an aging or dying White Dragon, with a Maiden with Eyes of Blue, holding a white egg in her arms.
"I hate that card." Krono muttered.
"I never seen that card." Draco stated, "What does it do?"
"What this card does." Saffira replied, hearing Draco, "If I have a Blue-Eyes on my field or my Grave, I gain Life Points equal to its Attack Power."
"Wait, you have two in your Grave both having 3000 Attack Points." Alexis stated, "And your Twin Burst also has 3000 Attack."
"That's right." Saffira replied with a smirk, "No matter which one I pick, I'll regain 3000 Life Points."
The spell vanished as Saffira smiled, nearly evening out their Life Points.
Saffira LP:300-3300
"Now it's time to end the duel, Twin Burst Dragon! Attack Vrash!" she ordered, "Twin Lightning Burst!"
"My Monster is stronger than yours!" Alexis called out as the dragon reared a head and began to charge the attack, "You'll lose 1000 Life Points!"
"But you'll lose your Monster!" Saffira called back, "Did you forget if my Dragon attacks, if the monster isn't destroyed, it'll be removed from the game?"
Alexis gasped slightly forgetting about the Dragon's Special Ability as the first head launched the attack and her Cyber Angel retaliated, blasting many beams of light into the Lightning Burst before her attack separated and began to collide with the dragon and the ground in front of Saffira again, before Vrash was engulfed by the blast. And was removed from the field.
Saffira LP:3300-2300
Alexis panted out and looked, where her monster stood and then back to Saffira's side seeing the Twin Burst Dragon's second head charging an attack.
"What? But that card already attacked!" Alexis pointed out.
"It did." Saffira confirmed, "But it is called 'Twin Burst' it can attack twice. Second Lightning Burst!"
The second head lunged forward, blasting the beam of lightning, engulfing Alexis and kicking up a maelstrom of dust. When the blast ended and the dust settle, Draco's eyes widen in disbelief as Alexis remained standing, both her arms costed over her head, shielding her from the full blast, however, her body shivered from withstanding such a blast.
Alexis LP:3600-600
Saffira held out her right arm, as the golden crossbow, sting and arrow of light reformed on her weapon, "Time to end this duel." She told Alexis, "Ritual Crossbow Shot!"
The bolt shot out, aiming at Alexis. Draco grunted out, clutching his fist, unknowingly creating a swirl of his flames in his hand.
"That'll be too much for her to take!" He thought loudly to himself, his eyes shining brightly. The flames dispersed, before the Ritual Arrow could hit Alexis, Krono and Saffira, both gasped out as specters of a Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes used their wings to shield and soften the arrow's impact on Alexis, as they faded so did the shine for Draco's eyes, he shook his head before darting out to Alexis as she began to fall over. He caught her, not even falling to his knees as she panted out heavily.
Alexis LP:600-0
"Alexis?" Draco asked as she panted in his arms, she slowly opens her eyes looking at him.
"H-hey Dr-Draco." She tiredly said, "Is-is the d-duel over?"
"it is over." Saffira answered, as the Ritual Weapon disintegrated from her right arm, and her Blue-Eyes did the same, as she deactivated her Duel Disk. After getting back inside, Vahraniik was up on the second floor looking over Alexis, who was resting on Draco's bed. She came down after about ten minutes.
"She has a slight fever from over exerting herself." Vahraniik stated, "She just needs a few hours of rest is all."
Draco sighed out in relief, leaning back on the couch, "thank you, Vahraniik." He said.
"Now, Your Highness." She said to Saffira, "Excuse my harsh tone. What the hell is wrong with you?!"
"It was she, who wanted the duel." Saffira replied.
"And as the kind-hearted, just queen you are known for, should have told her to regain her strength first!" Vahraniik snapped back, "That duel you did with her, was more of your Pride as both Dragoness and mother."
"I'm agreeing with her, Saffira." Krono said, slightly glaring at his wife, "You should have waited, not let your Pride blind you."
"Krono." Saffira slightly whine.
"That's not going to work." He told her, "You know what you did was wrong."
"If anything, Mom." Draco spoke up, "You should have dueled me instead. I would been able to withstand those blasts."
Saffira looked at both of them, "Mom? You want to make this right?" Draco asked her.
"Of course, I do." She replied.
"Then swallow your Pride and apologize to Alexis when she wakes up." He stated.
"That's what you need to do." Krono added.
Saffira looked at the Grand Healer, all she did was nod her head in agreement to Draco and Krono.
Draco sighed out and then stood up, heading to the stairs.
"Draco?" Saffira asked her son, "I'm going to check on her." He replied.
He went up the steps and into his bedroom, seeing Alexis asleep in his bed. He pulled up his chair by his computer desk and sat next to his bed, he looked down and noticed her Duel Disk was still latched to her arm. Carefully, he pressed the release button letting it lose its grip and gently removed it from her arm, and placed It on his desk. He looked at her deck, and remember that Etoile Cyber spoke to him, after her direct attack and began to wonder.
"Etoile Cyber, you there?"
Her deck remains silent, as he sighed out, "Of course. Why would I think that?"
"Etoile? The cute boy called you."
Draco blinked and looked back at Alexis' deck, confused and surprised.
"Etoile don't be rude." Another voice spoke up, slightly older than the first.
"Why should I answer that jackass?!" a third voice spoke.
"He's not a jackass." A fourth voice spoke.
"Umm, I can hear all of you." Draco said to the deck of arguing Spirits, before one of them appeared, short pink hair, wearing a full bodysuit, red outer layer with a light blue inner layer, a visor over her eyes.
"Hello there." She spoke kindly and young.
"Umm, hi?" Draco, questioned a response, "You have to be one I never seen Alexis use yet."
"That I am." She replied, "My name is Cyber Tutu."
Draco looked her over, causing her to slightly blush, "Based on what I know from my duel with Alexis, what's your Special Ability?"
"I can attack directly if I'm the weakest monster on the field." Tutu replied smiling, "I only have a 1000 Attack."
Not sure, if you are aware." Draco said, "But Vahraniik, has a base card with only 500 Attack, which she makes up for with 2800 Defense. And I also have Heimwahl with zero Attack."
"Oh, right." She replied, "If you got either one of them out, my Ability would be unusable."
A familiar chestnut dancer appeared and pulled Cyber Tutu by her arm in a small fit of anger.
"What are you doing talking to him?!"
"Nice to see you again too, Etoile Cyber." Draco deadpanned out.
"There is nothing wrong with what Tutu is doing." The owner of the second voice spoke, appeared, well built body structure, top half of her leotard being two tone purple, bottom half mostly black with a bit of the darker purple. Long bleach blonde hair held in a ponytail and a full white face mask.
"You have to be Cyber Gymnast?" Draco asked, hoping not to offend since he did see her for a Ritual.
"I am."
"Alright, enough!" Etoile snapped, "None of us should even be talking to him!"
"We should give him the same curtesy he has giving Alexis." Gymnast told her.
"Out of the question!" Etoile snapped, "Now both of you back to the deck!"
Etoile vanished as the three stared at her as she did, "Have I done something, to piss her off?" Draco asked.
"Etoile has always been strict and a bitch." Gymnast replied.
"That's not nice to say Gymnast." Tutu said.
"Well, it's also she thinks he is distracting Alexis." She replied.
"Whoa! What?" Draco slightly snapped, "I haven't distracted Alexis at all."
"We all keep telling her that. In fact, Alexis is more determine." Gymnast stated.
"Yeah, we heard her say something about wanting a rematch with you." Tutu added.
Draco looked at her in his bed, and gave a silent huff and smiled.
"She has a fighting spirit that rivals a dragon." Draco said, then looked back at the two Cyber Dancers, "Before I forget, which one of you called me 'cute'?"
Immediately, Cyber Tutu's cheeks became bright red.
"That would be her." Gymnast pointed out, "She was always the flirty one."
Embarrassed, the young Dancer hides her face before vanishing herself. Gymnast chuckled to herself, shaking her head, before returning to Alexis' deck.
"Things just got a little weirder." Draco thought to himself, even chuckling softly. Looking at Alexis, he smiled warmly before getting up to leave his room, until his eyes widen slightly and looked back down, and saw Alexis unconsciously gripped his arm. He sighed out and sat back down.
"I'm not going to leave you." He said quietly.
Back downstairs, Saffira tapped her finger against her arms, after a good thirty minutes, when Draco went upstairs and never came back down, she sighs out slightly frustrated and pushed herself to her feet, walking to the stairs.
"Saffira? Where do you think you're going?" Krono asked her.
"Going to see, why our son hasn't returned." She snapped, "He said he was checking on her."
"Your Highness." Vahraniik spoke up, having not left yet, "She is someone he truly cares for, if you have any respect for the young prince, you'll leave him be."
"I have respect for my son, Healer!" Saffira snarled back, "However, he was just going to his room, check her, and return down stairs!" Her glare caused the Healer to shiver slightly from the queen's dominance. She turns back to the stairs and walked up them, reaching Draco's door, she carefully opened it and peered into the room, before her glaring stare became a surprised gentle stare. In the room, Draco was in the chair, laying his head down in the bed, sleeping peacefully, as Alexis slept just as peaceful in his bed. Saffira's eyes glanced down, seeing that Alexis was holding his arm. Saffira looked at the ring on Alexis' hand before lifting her left hand and fiddled with her own ring, then silently closed the door, and wiped a tear from her eye, before closing the door and quietly headed back to the living room. Krono glared at her, before it too changed to a concern stare.
"Saffira?" he asked, Vahraniik stood up and took a step towards the Dragon Queen, "Y-Your Highness?"
"I'm sorry." Saffira muttered, "I shouldn't have snapped at you Vahraniik."
"Queen Saffira, have you been crying?" she asked.
"It's nothing." Saffira replied, "You may leave, Grand Healer."
Vahraniik looked back at Krono, who shrugged his shoulders, and then back to Saffira, "Your Highness?"
"That was an order, Vahraniik." She rephrased, "Leave."
Standing there for a few seconds, bowing respectfully and returning to the Spirit World, leaving the two alone.
"Saffira?" Krono asked again, "What is going on?"
"You were right." Saffira responded, "Our son, isn't a little dragonling anymore."
Krono stood up and walked over to her, seeing her eyes water up again, "I just couldn't face the fact that our little prince has grown to fine young dragon." She told him.
"What made you finally realize that?" he asked, Saffira lifted her hand showing her ring.
"The ring he got for her." Saffira replied, "He was sleeping next to his bed, laying his head on the mattress and she was holding his arm."
"Did she wake up?"
"No, I think she grabbed him while sleeping." She replied, wiping her eyes again. Saffira then looked at a picture framed on the wall, showing Draco on his fifth birthday, happily hugging two plushies of Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes.
"I know it is hard." Krono told her, "Being our only child, I also see Draco as that young, but I know he's not that small anymore."
Saffira sobbed quietly, before Krono pulled her into a loving embrace and held her close.
"Everything will be alright." He told her.
"How could everything be alright, after what I did to Draco's girl?" she sobbed.
"You manage to swallow your pride and admit you were wrong and apologize to Vahraniik." Krono stated, "You need to do it again and apologize to Alexis."
Alexis stirred slightly as she finally opened her eyes, seeing the ceiling, she slowly sat up and looked around her surroundings, only remembering being outside for the duel.
"Where am I?" she asked herself, before feeling something in her hand. Looked at her right she sees Draco sleeping next to her, in a chair, and his arm in her hand.
"Guess I must have pasted out during the duel and Draco's been watching over me."
She smiles at him, as she carefully got out of the bed and pieced together, she must be in Draco's bed room, seeing the usual boy stuff, but what really clicked for her, was the trophies of the Junior Dueling League, all had a plaque that had Draco's name on them. She left the room and heading down the stairs, and looked into the Living room, slightly gasping as she saw Saffira, looking out the window and being the only one there. She looked around silently as she slowly took a step down from the stairs.
"Finally awake, I see." Saffira suddenly spoke up.
"H-how did you?" Alexis asked.
"Sweetie, this is my house." She replied, "Do you know how many times Draco tried to sneak pass me when he was younger?"
"I would guess, never?" Alexis replied.
"Try until he was eight." Saffira stated, "He was mischievous little one."
"I don't think you are talking to me, just to remember Draco's younger years." Alexis stated.
"It's more to apologize."
Alexis looked at the dragon queen, confusingly, "What is there to apologize for?"
"My pride, during our duel." Saffira replied, "It wasn't just my pride as a dragon that was dueling you earlier today."
"What else could there be?" Alexis asked.
"Pride of a mother." she replied, "I was seeing my son still being an adorable five-year-old."
Alexis looked puzzled and then spotted the picture of Draco at the age of five, "Is that Draco?" she asked.
Saffira nods her head, "Yes. However, I finally faced the facts that my little dragonling has grown to a fine young prince."
Alexis looked at Saffira as she spoke and then looked at her, "And that he has found a wonderful female, that easily matches him in dueling skills."
She blushed lightly, thinking of something else, "Umm, thanks. I-I thought you were going to say something else." She said.
"Oh? Thought I was going to say, found a suitable mate?" Saffira asked, smiling slyly, making Alexis blush deeper, "Anyways, I wish to make up the way I acted to you."
"And just how are you going to do that?" she asked.
"Tomorrow, you and I are going to have an all-girls day." Saffira said, "I did promise Draco that I would, plus it would get a good chance for us to get to know each other."
"Tomorrow?" Alexis asked.
"Why? You want to do it now?" Saffira asked her, "Well, it's only a little past three so why not?" Alexis stated.
"Before we head out, Sophitia!" she slightly roared as the Royal Guard appeared.
"You called, Queen Saffira?" she asked, bowing down on her kneels.
"If Draco wakes up, tell him that we are out." Saffira ordered her, "If he pushes, just tell him again."
"So, the smartass answer?" She asked, getting Alexis and Saffira to chuckled lightly.
"So, where are we going to first?" Alexis asked eager to know Draco's mother.
"Well, we can go anywhere." Saffira replied, "And I know we said only once, but I think we should use the Spirit Gate."
"Didn't drain me of all of my energy the last time?"
"It did, but I think once you get used to it, you shouldn't have a problem."
"But not?" Alexis slightly questioned.
"No, we won't use it for every travel, just once in a while." Saffira replied.
Saffira "got dressed" and waited for Alexis to get into something more casual than the Academy uniform. After returning in a more casual wear, white tank top, blue skirt, Sophi opened the Gate and they left the house for a day out. It wasn't long before Draco came down the stairs looking around the house, for anyone since he just found Alexis no longer in his bed.
"Is anyone here?" he asked loudly.
"You decided to get up as well, Young Lord?" Sophitia asked, reappearing before him.
"Where is everyone?" Draco asked her.
"Well, from what I know, I though your father got called back to the shop, as for your mother and Alexis, they are out." Sophitia replied.
"Out where?"
"Just out."
Draco sighed out, shaking his head, "Sophitia clarify that, out where?"
"I was told to just tell you they are out." She replied, trying not to laugh.
"You're enjoying this, aren't you?"
"A little."
Draco sighed out heavily as Sophitia laughed at his annoyance.
