Ch.27: The Copy-Cat
A day after Draco's duel with the Amazoness Warriors; Draco, Syrus, and Bastion sat in Sir Sartyr's class. Bastion was working hard trying to create the "perfect" card for Tania, after making four attempts that Sir Sartyr said were incredible, to which Bastion replied with it wasn't right, Draco just shook his head and silently chuckled, not only Bastion's unnecessary determination to make a card but from earlier that same day.
(Earlier that same day)
"What do you mean, I should stay behind?!" Tania snapped.
"Look at it this way," Sahlos told her, "Bastion is still in school, he needs to focus on his studies. I mean, most of us don't bother the Young Lord while he is in class, we wait until the class is over."
"You just said most of you." Tania pointed out, "Who does bother that boy?"
"Oh, you know him well." Sahlos replied, "After all, he did punch one of your Sisters twice into wall. Once for threating the Young Lord, and the second time was when she punched him."
Tania thought for a moment, before remembering Dinok, destroying the Fighter with ease, "Oh right. Him." She mutters, "I'm still surprised that she was able to stand after that first punch."
"Well to be fair, she did threaten the Young Lord." Sahlos replied, "Dinok, may think with his rage, but only the royal bloodline can control him—and shouldn't you still be studying, Sogaal?!"
Tania looked confused before looking over the railing of the Slifer Dorm second floor and noticed a magenta dragoness stopping in her tracks.
"How did you?" Tania asked, "Oh, I've been noticing when she's been trying to sneak out." Sahlos replied, "Sogaal, return to the Guild and keep practicing speaking Japanese."
"Nuz Monah!" Sogaal whined. ("But Mommy!")
"Don't make me tell your Father that you are skipping your lessons again!"
Sogaal lets out a startled yelp, before vanishing back to the Spirit World, then the two looked back as a door opened and see Draco leaving the room.
"Morning, Sahlos, Tania." He said, "I heard talking out here."
"Yes, and your friend here is suggesting that I stay here for now." Tania said.
"That would be best." Draco replied, "Don't worry, if I know Bastion, he will try to make a card for you."
"Plus, if it's anything like our cards," Sahlos spoke up, "once it's complete, you should be able to enter it and make it an official card."
"So, wait, are you saying that your Dragon Guard cards are currently one-of-a-kind?!" Tania asked.
"Currently, they are." Draco replied, "I'm sure the others would tell Maximillion Pegasus, about the situation."
"Well, he was the first human to learn about your parents true identity." Sahlos pointed out, "Plus, he did learn in his time in Egypt, that we were real creatures before the card game."
"I did ask Vonzun to tell him about what has happen so far." Draco replied, "But, I'm unsure if he is going to carry the order out."
"One of us will make sure, Young Lord." Sahlos replied, "But you should hurry to your class, before you become late."
(The Current time.)
"Ugh!" Bastion groaned out once more, "This won't do either!"
"Hold on, there buddy." Draco told him, "You already drew and colored five different styles, why not let everyone see it and let them decide which one is better."
"Why is he putting so much emphasis on 'Everyone' and 'Them'?" Bastion thought.
Draco looked at the confused face Bastion was giving him, "Is he really going to make me spell it out?!" Draco thought, before pulling a piece of paper out and scribbled something down, after which he turned the paper over and showed, Bastion what was scribbled.
"Everyone = Tania! Them = Her!" was written on the paper. Bastion stared for a few seconds, before his face lit up, embarrassed.
"Oh! Right, right! Good idea, Draco!" he replied, chuckling sheepishly, seeing the stare Draco was giving him.
"Man, Syrus and Dark Magician Girl aren't this bad!" Draco thought, before looking over to his little buddy. Only to get a shocked face, as he noticed over ten pictures of Dark Magician Girl in different outfits from characters from different anime, not knowing Dark Magician Girl looking at the current one he was doing, which was her in a Sailor Scout Uniform.
"Is my chest really that big?" She questioned herself in thought, as she cups her breasts.
Draco's face got more shocked, not just seeing what DMG was doing but also Sir Sartyr walked behind Syrus and raised a brow, "Hmm. What is all this, now?"
Syrus lets out a loud startled yell, as he jumped out of his seat, knocking everything from his station over, one such picture fluttered to the feet of one of the worst Obelisk girls, Seika Kohinata. As she looked at the picture, Draco noticed a wicked smile starting to appear across her face. The moment Draco stood up to make it for the picture, Seika immediately picked the picture up and held it mockingly.
"Oh my god!" she dramatically announced, "Look what the filthy Slifer drew!"
Seika held the picture out, showing a well-drawn Dark Magician Girl, wearing a lightly blue one-piece swimsuit, half of the chest was pink, with it looping behind her back, as well as the pink being the trim, making a small pattern on the stomach with the back side being pink on her butt. The other Obelisk began to smirk as well.
"What a pervert!"
"There is no doubt that Scum will jerk off to this later!"
"I knew that dorm was full of scum, but this is just a filthy lowlife!"
Draco looked over to Syrus, already seeing his eyes water up and was even shaking.
"Hey, Seika!" one of the boys called out, "Let me have a better look at perverted picture!"
Whipping his head back as Seika handed the picture over to him, Draco suddenly stood up, getting all the heads to turn to him, before he walked over to him, glaring down.
"Hand it over." He growled.
"What?" he asked.
"I said hand it over, Daigo!"
The named Obelisk Boy stood up and held the picture above Draco, being taller than him, "First off, it's not yours, so no. And second, just try to take it from me. I bet you are going to—"
He was suddenly cut off and the entire class gasped out, as Daigo groaned out and dropped to his knees, and dropping the picture while holding his stomach.
"I wasn't asking." Draco snarled, before bending over and picked the picture up, "So, the next time I tell you to hand something that isn't yours over, do it!"
Draco turned and started to walk back to Syrus, Daigo growled as he started stand up, struggling from the gut punch.
"Oh, one more thing." Draco spoke up, before he suddenly spun around, lifting a leg up, about to spin a full-blown kick to the Obelisk's face.
"Mr. Kaitos!" Sir Sartyr yelled, trying to stop the attack, from his angle it seemed that Draco's kick landed its mark, and even for the Obelisks, it was the same view. But to Draco's and Daigo's view, Draco's foot stopped one inch from his face. Daigo looked shocked at the foot a mere inch from him.
"I've been trained in Martial Arts." Draco told him, "The first thing my Sensei taught me, was control over my reflexes. I can stop a full speed punch or kick at an inch from my target. You saw that speed, that kick would have knocked some teeth out and knock you out. Don't you ever piss me off or pick on Syrus ever again!" Draco then turned around, facing the teacher before respectfully bowing to him.
"I do apologize." He said, "I know the Academy rules state that if a student fights another in front of a teacher, they receive a month of detention. I'll gladly take it."
Draco straightened himself and went over to Syrus and helped gather everything he drew, "Well," Sartyr said, "I do appreciate that you took responsibility for your actions." He then turns to the four Obelisk, "We also have a zero tolerance to any form of in-class bullying, All be seeing you four with Draco for the month-long detention starting today!"
"WHAT?!" they all yelled, before Daigo doubled over, still in pain. Once the bell chimed to end the class and everyone started to file out of the room.
"One moment." Sartyr spoke, "Draco, I need you to stay back while I file this incident report."
Draco turned back around as Bastion and Syrus went on to meet up with everyone for the free period, "I never heard of a student having to stay behind for this before, Sir."
"Well," he replied, "I have heard teachers were letting you off easy with punishments."
"Well, Sir," Draco started, "when I have the same detention as two other Obelisks, they didn't lift a finger to do what we were tasked with."
"Excuse me?"
"It was for one of Nurse Fortaine's classes." Draco explained, "A soccer class, one of the Obelisk kicked the ball right at my head, and then later another tried to slide kick the ball away and purposely kicked my shin."
Sartyr's mouth dropped open as Draco explained, "After I regain my balance, I manage to kick the ball perfectly and got both of them in the head, but you can properly guess what happened after that."
"They made it into a brawl, and you just fought back?"
"Yup. We were given a month detention. Cleaning up the fields and equipment. But on the final week—"
(Approximately two months ago)
Draco dragged the final of the track equipment into the storage shed and whipped some sweat from his brow and sighed out, before hearing one of the two Obelisk, who also should have been doing, also sighing out.
"Our work is finally done." Zachery announced.
"I know, right?" Reggie replied.
"The hell are you two Lazy Asses talking about?!" Draco yelled, getting both of them to look at him annoyed.
"The hell are you talking about, Scum?" Reggie asked.
"You really think Elites like us are going to do peasant work?!" Zachery added, "Our detention is to make sure the Trash does the work."
"That is not what Nurse Fortaine told you and you know that!" Draco yelled back, "I have been doing everything for the whole month and all you two did was order me around! Even when a ball or equipment were at your feet!"
Draco's glare suddenly changed, when he noticed something, to which the two Obelisk noticed, "Oh looks like he finally noticed the truth, Reggie." Zachery mocked.
"Which reminds me." Reggie replied, before taking out five candy wrappers and just dumped them on the field, to which Draco's face got paler, and Reggie chuckled, "You missed a spot."
"Oh, HE didn't miss a spot!" a sudden voice snarled down at them, which in turn, froze their mid-laughing and slowly turned around., both of them seeing Nurse Fortaine towering over them and death glaring straight at them. Both of them jumped up yelling in fear.
"N-Nurse Fontaine!?" Zachery gasped, "We-we just sat down, r-right Reggie?!"
"Y-yeah, we just finished an-and the wrappers fell out!" Reggie added.
"Oh?" Fontaine asked, "So, I just didn't hear what you two have been doing for the past month?!" Both of them froze again, while Draco suddenly shivered.
"Why is it the nice teachers always have a dark scary side?!" he thought.
"I was on my way to my office when I head Draco yelling at you two!" She yelled, "You two were just sitting around, ordering him to do everything?! Detention is dealt equally to every student involved in the reasoning of the detention!"
The two shot up to their feet immediately, then her glare turned to Draco, "Draco!" she snapped.
"Ah! Y-yes Ma'am?!" she gasped out, "Am I going to get yelled at too?!"
"You served your month of detention, you may leave."
"… Huh?" he asked confused.
Nurse Fontaine said with a gentle smile, Draco stood dumbfounded before bowing respectfully and began to head to the exit, then, "And where do you two think you're going?!" that tone returned. Draco couldn't help but turned back and noticed the Obelisk boys were behind him.
"Uh, didn't you say—" Zachery started to ask.
"I said Draco served his detention! You two on the other hand, your detention officially starts now! And you can start by giving me five!" Fontaine yelled at them
"Umm, five, Ma'am?" Reggie asked.
"FIVE LAPS ON THE TRACK COURSE!" She yelled, making the two yell out and started to run the track. Draco returned to walk out of the sports arena and when the door closed, he collapses to his knees, startling Sophitia outside of the arena.
"Young Lord?!" she gasped out, "I heard yelling in there! Are you hurt?!"
Draco was momentarily unable to speak, but had a shock look on his face and his eyes shown true fear.
"Y-Young Lord?"
"I saw a glimpse of the end of world." He muttered.
"WHAT?!" Sophitia gasps, "The Beasts were released?!"
Draco shook his head, "Worse."
Now, the Royal Guard was confused, "What could be worse than that?"
"All that yelling you heard?" Draco asked her, "That was Nurse Fontaine."
Sophitia's gaze turned to fear as she looked at the door, "Th-that was the Nurse?" she stuttered, "If-if she got into an argument with Her Highness—"
"The world ends."
(Present Time.)
"So, the truth is, Nurse Fontaine, told every teacher about that incident." Draco finished explaining, leaving the talk with Sophitia out.
"I see." Sartyr said, "So, that's why I spotted you in the hallway after only two days into a two-week detention, last week."
"You saw me?!" Draco asked slightly shocked.
"I did, when you were leaving a detention from Banner's class. I thought he was just taking it easy on you since you are his favorite."
"No, Sir." Draco replied, "He stepped out for some fresh air, since his illness has flared up, and when he returned the three Obelisks lodged around, while the Ra and I continued the work, and he heard them ordering us around."
"Well, I'll be the judge of that." Sartyr told him.
"If I may?" Draco asked, getting his attention from the Detention Notice, "If you stay one day, I guarantee the Obelisks will behave and do what they are told, but once you leave, they will slack off, blame me for being in detention, and force the work on me."
"Even so, the punish will stand." Sartyr said, as he finished the notice. Draco gave a bow and left the room to meet up with the other, after leaving the room, he was met with glares from three of the four Obelisks that will join him at the end of the day.
"This is all your fault, bastard!" Seika hissed out, "If you had just stayed out of our business—"
"YOUR BUSINESS!?" Draco roared out, getting them to jump back, and getting students and staff alike stopping in their tracks and looked over, "Like hell it was your business! You took a picture that didn't belong to you and began to torment Syrus! Calling him a pervert and making fun of him for it!"
"The way he was acting was proof enough that we—" one of the boys yelled back but stopped as he felt a large looming shadow over him. Standing directly behind him was a rather large, tanned, muscular man wearing a janitor's work suit looking down at him.
"What was this, that everyone is hearing?" he asked, "Picking on a first year for something he drew in class?"
"You stay out of this!" the second boy yelled out, "You have no business in the affairs of the Elites! Now why don't you do your job that our parents are paying you for, Trash-collector!?"
The boy seemed smug at his outburst, before he was suddenly lift from the ground, by the large man with only three fingers and then looked dead I the eyes of the student.
"Funny you should say that." He grumbled, "There are three piles of garbage right here in front of me!" The Obelisk looked shocked, not the fact he called them garbage but the fact the janitor lifts up a student with little trouble, before a Security Officer rushed over, slightly panting from the distance he ran.
"Mr. Gorg! Put that student down this instant!" he ordered, to which the Janitor dropped the student to the ground, shocking everyone again, "Uh, uh, Why did you-?!"
"You didn't say I had to put him down gently, Officer Cliff." Gorg replied.
The Officer now known as Cliff groaned out, lifting his glasses up as he rubs his eyes, before hearing Draco groaning and doing the same, "Hey, First Year, why are you groaning about Mr. Gorg's bluntness?"
"I have a distant relative who is just as blunt as he is, Sir." Draco replied, "I know the pain." The door to the classroom swung open as Sartyr glared at the students, which even caused Officer Cliff and Gorg to shutter in fear. He then took a pen out a scribbled something on one of the Detention Notices and handed them to the Security Officer.
"Officer Cliff?" Sartyr asked, "If you would be so kind, as to give these Detention Notices to the Chancellor?"
"Oh, of course, Sir." Cliff replied.
"Also, if he has questions about one of the Notices, let me know and I'll explain the situation to him."
Cliff nods his head took off towards the Chancellor's office, then Sir Sartyr glared at the four Obelisks, "And I'll be seeing you three, along with your fellow Obelisk Classmate at the end of the day!"
"What?!" Seika yelled, "But what about the Slacker?! It's his fault in the first place!"
"I've heard about Mr. Kaitos showing up in every detention he is giving, I have no worries that he'll skip out."
After all the ordeal, Draco just walked away and met up with the others at a table during the free period and filled those who didn't have the class in on the events.
"What?!" Mana gasped out, "Those assholes! Teasing Syrus like that!"
"Seriously." Chazz scoffed, "I have seen the Obelisk boys draw more obscene pictures."
"Let's not forget Draco got detention again." Alexis pointed out, "I'm surprised you haven't been expelled with how much of detention you got."
"Well, some of the teachers caught on that the Obelisks weren't doing anything during the detention." Draco replied, "Most of the time it was either half-way through or on the last day."
"I have seen him leaving early in some cases." Bastion added, "I didn't know the teachers were letting you go, I just thought you finished early."
"Most of the time I did." Draco stated, "By the way, out of the blue here. Do any of you, know about the Janitor named 'Gorg' or a Security Officer named, 'Cliff'?"
Everyone looked at each other in confusion, especially Alexis, since she is a Second Year.
"Are you bad-mouthing us, young man?" Everyone yelled out, before looking up, seeing the two in question.
"No-no, Sir!" Draco stammer out, "I was just being curious with how long have you two been here!"
The two men looked at the students as if they were in trouble, before the Security Office began to laugh as did the Janitor.
"Oh, is that all?" Cliff asked, "Well, it is a short story to tell. Right, Gorg?"
"Indeed, it is." Gorg replied.
"They seem to be familiar with each other." Everyone thought. The two pulled some chairs, sitting across from them.
"Ok, to make as short as possible," Cliff spoke up, "we were transfer about three days ago."
"We honestly thought we got transfer to an all-girls Academy." Gorg said, sheepishly chuckled. Which caused the friend group to look shock and mouths agape.
"That was when Tania was here!" they thought.
"But the thing is, we were work mates back in a private academy on the mainland." Cliff explained, "I was still Security."
"And I was the Couch of the Academy's MMA Team." Gorg said, "I had the experience being ex-military."
"An Academy with an MMA team?" Chazz asked.
"Yeah." Gorg said, "We won many tournaments."
"And I made sure no one tried to get away with theft and rule breakers." Cliff added, "I ran track in Junior High School, High School and my University years."
"That would have let you be a qualifier to the Olympics." Bastion pointed out.
"Well, you'll be right." Cliff chuckled, "But I got a leg injury during the trail run, I was lucky that the Olympics wasn't my only career path, like my friend here, I'm ex-police."
"So, if you guys had such good jobs," Draco started, "how is it you ended up here?"
"Well, we didn't know it at the time," Cliff explained, "but the Headmaster of the Academy was a real cheapskate."
"I was the best coach the MMA Team ever had, and Cliff was one of the best Security Officers the Academy had." Gorg said, "And right before the new year started, we were both fired."
"That's horrible." Mana said.
"True." Gorg continued, "So Cliff and I got jobs in areas that would were similar to the work we just lost. Cliff was a Security Guard at a very popular shopping district, and by 'popular' I mean popular in both business and theft."
"They were all runners," Cliff added, "but when I started working there, none of them could get away, even on the busiest days."
"But before you ask," Gorg said as it seems Draco was about as ask a question, "we are getting there."
"Ok." Draco replied.
"I was a Bouncer for a popular club nearby, and it had similar problems." Gorg explains, "And Cliff came by when he had days off or free time."
"But we both missed helping young minds." Cliff stated, "So, we talked about going back to our areas of work and saw the Duel Academy needed some more hired help."
"I'm guess you went for the Security Officer?" Draco asked Cliff, getting a nod. "But what about you Mr. Gorg?"
"Oh, I tried for a Health Instructor position." He replied, "However, the Academy's Nurse had it covered. So, I was offered a position to be a more labor worker. Janitor or one of those heavy stock lifters."
"Well, to be fair you do have the built for a heavy lifter." Mana stated.
"Well, being a big muscular guy does have its disadvantages, but they are small."
Everyone started to chuckle softly, before Cliff's radio or walkie-talkie went off, "This is Security Officer Akamatsu, is there anyone near the front entrance?"
Cliff, still being slightly new, pulled out a map of the Academy's main building, to which Alexis quickly pointed the area they were in, then grabbed his radio.
"This is Cliff. I'm in a seating area near the front entrance. What's the problem?"
"I have four Yellow Jackets, that seem to be skipping class. They said they took a free period, but once I got their names, the schedule has them for Dr. Crowler's class."
"Alright, I'll be there in two minutes." Cliff said and stood up, "Well, it's been an interesting chat, but I got to handle some skippers." He looked over at Draco, "And you need to try and stay out of detention."
"That's hard to do." Draco replied, "Since every Obelisk dickhead are always causing problems."
Cliff looked like he wanted to say something, but couldn't, "I can't argue with that logic." He then took off and was out of sight in a matter of seconds.
"Damn." Chazz gasps, "He wasn't joking about that track speed of his."
It wasn't long before Sadie comes running from another direction towards the group, "There you are, Mr. Gorg!" she panted out, "Ms. Dorothy and I need your help in the Cafeteria."
"Is something wrong, Ms. Sadie?" he asked.
"We got the order for the lunches for the next two weeks," she said, "but the crates are just too heavy for me and Ms. Dorothy."
He stood up and quickly stretched out and then slightly adjusted his work hat, "Well, I better get going as well." He bid the group a farewell and they awkwardly returned the favor.
"That was a little weird." Syrus muttered.
"It was." Draco agreed.
They all went about the rest of the day as normal, with the occasional Obelisk or Ra trying to down talk the Slifer Dorm. When the final chime of the day went off, Syrus and Mana both slightly groan before the others met up with them.
"Why must the last class always be the hardest one?" Mana asked.
"I think it's mostly because it is the last class and most of us are just too exhausted from the whole day." Alexis suggested.
"Anyways, I have to head back to Sir Sartyr's class." Draco said, "I have to start serving the detention I got."
"If you ask me," Chazz said, "it's bullshit that you get in trouble for trying to get something that didn't belong to the Obelisk in the first place."
"Well, Chazz," Bastion spoke up, "If you were still in Obelisk would you have done the same thing to Draco and Syrus?"
Chazz thought for a second or two, before sighing, "Ok, I'll give you that one."
"Oh, you're the one with detention?" everyone jumped and yelled out, hearing the deep voice and looking behind Draco, seeing the Janitor, Gorg standing behind him.
"How many times are staff of the Academy going to scare the shit out of us?!" Draco asked.
"Well, I don't know about that." Gorg replied, rubbing the back of his head chuckling, "But I was asked by Ms. Dorothy to find you."
"For what?" Draco asked.
"For your detention of course." Gorg replied.
Draco looked at everyone else, giving the same confused look, before looking bac kat the janitor, "Uh, my detention is with Sir Sartyr."
"Well, Ms. Dorothy got off her PDA with the Chancellor and was told you would be with her."
"Hey Draco," Alexis spoke up, "look on the bright side; now you won't have those Obelisks putting all the work on you."
"That is true." Draco replied, "But I can't do any heavy lifting, since my left hand is still recovering."
"You hurt your hand?" Gorog asked.
"Kind of." Draco replied, "I was practicing my martial arts on a tree and broke a few fingers, but I reset them back into place, and Nurse Fortaine told me to refrain from doing any heavy physical labor with it."
"That could be a big issue alright." Gorg said, "I have been there in my Military career before, and it can be difficult if you don't handle it well."
"Will I have to do some heavy lifting?" Draco asked.
"Maybe, maybe not." Gorg replied, "But we best hurry, don't want Ms. Dorothy to go yelling at us."
"Um, before you two leave." Syrus softly said, "Is Ms. Sadie with Ms. Dorothy?"
"I think she's holding down the shop." Gorg replied.
"I can tell what you are planning on doing Syrus." Draco said, "But do you have enough?"
Syrus looked confused, before he pulled his wallet out and revealed he had about 750 Yen.
"That should give you a standard pack, Syrus." Bastion pointed out, "Although I don't think you'll get any SR or UR cards."
"SR or UR?" Mana asked, puzzled.
"Super Rare, or Ultra Rare." Alexis explained, "It's the rarity of a certain cards."
"Take your Dark Magician Girl for example." Draco added, "She's an Ultra Rare."
"Some of us should still go with him, in case some other pricks give him a hard time." Chazz mentioned.
They all went off, with the friend circle going with Syrus as Draco followed Gorg, after a bit of walking they both find Ms. Dorothy standing in the hallway, waving them down.
"About time you found him!" she said to Gorg, "He isn't that hard to find."
"Well, if he is in a large group, and I can't notice the white tips he is hard to see." He replied.
"So, Ms. Dorothy?" Draco asked, "What is it I need to help with?"
"Well, I need this room cleared out." She replied, showing a room full of crates filled with spare equipment form sports to cleaning.
"For what reason?" Draco asked.
"That's a secret." Ms. Dorothy replied with a smile. The three of them moved crates to the hallway, on some crate carts. Every now and then, Draco would groan out from his left hand being strained, to which Gorg shifted the crate so most of the weight was on his side. After a bit of time passed, they moved all the boxes out, which ended Draco's detention, being dismissed Draco went off to look for everyone as he slightly rubs his left wrist. During that time, Syrus and the others made their way to the card shop, and thanks to Alexis' presents, none of the other Obelisk students dared approach them, Sadie smiled as they approached the card shop.
"Well, if it isn't the friendliest group of customers." She said, smiling, "Hold on, you seem to be down one member."
"He's in detention." Syrus replied.
"Again?" Sadie asked, "What for this time?"
"Standing up for Syrus." Bastion replied, "Some Obelisk were making fun of Syrus for things he was drawing."
"Ugh!" Sadie groaned, "And they draw some crazy stuff."
"From what I heard," Chazz spoke up, "Those Obelisks were mocking Syrus for drawing supposedly lewd drawing of the Dark Magician Girl."
Syrus hung is his head, clearly embarrassed as Mana glares at Chazz, "I said, 'supposedly lewd'! From what Bastion said they weren't."
"Indeed." Bastion replied, "They were just DMG in different outfits."
Mana and Alexis looked at each other, "If you ask me, they were just being privileged assholes." Alexis spoke up.
"And besides, I have seen pictures they have drawn." Chazz spoke up, "Very perverted."
"Well, to get down to business." Sadie spoke up, smiling, "How many of you are buying today?"
Everyone turned their heads to Syrus, embarrassing him as he walks to the counter, "Is-is there any packs for Dragon cards?"
"Again?" Sadie asked, "You've being buying them for the past several days."
"Didn't Draco tell you that you shouldn't be spending all your money on a single Dragon card?" Alexis asked, slightly lying, since it was one of the Dragon Guards that said that.
"I know." Syrus said, "But he gave me such a good Fusion card, and I don't have any Dragon for it."
"Well, I can take a quick look." Sadie said, walking to the extra shelves in the back. The group stood by the shop for about ten minutes before Sadie returned with a single pack, "This was all I could find. A standard pack with ten cards, and low chance of SR and extremely low chance for a UR."
"I know." Syrus replied, "But I just really want the right Dragon card for the fusion." He took a deep breath and opened the pack. Looking through the cards, Syrus, getting three Spells, four Traps, and two Monsters, neither were Dragon cards, but more of a support to Dragon cards.
"Hold on second, Syrus." Bastion spoke up, "What did you get from the pack?"
"three Spells, four Traps and two Monsters." Syrus replied, disappointed.
Alexis and Mana looked at each other confused, before looking at Sadie, "Didn't you say the pack has ten cards?" Alexis asked.
"I did." Sadie replied,
"Then why did Syrus only get nine cards?" Mana asked.
Syrus looked up, then back at the cards going through them as he counted them, "Hey there is only nine."
Sadie looks at the cards Syrus panned out, and noticed one was indeed missing, "That was a brand-new pack." She stated, "I have been here all day, no one could have opened it and reseal it for a single card."
"Hey, Boss." Yellow spoke up.
"I told you, not to talk to me around people who haven't seen any Duel Spirit!" Chazz silently hissed back.
"Just listen and act like I'm not here, not like that will be too hard." Yellow remarked.
"I can't be angry at that comeback." Chazz muttered.
"Well, anyways, look at the pack wrapper on the ground, it looks like something is stuck in it."
Chazz looked down to the floor, noticing the pack wrapper at their feet, and could see the back side of a card, "Hey, Truesdale!" he yelled, getting everyone's attention, "It seems a card got stuck in the wrapper."
Syrus looks down, and noticed the card, "Guess there was ten cards." He said as he lowers down, and took the card out, flipped it over and slightly gasp at it.
"Syrus?" Mana asked, "You, ok?"
Syrus stood up, still holding the one card, as the others lean in and saw what it was, a level six, EARTH attribute, Dragon Monster card. The image was a very sinister dark crimson scales, black underbelly and deep blue eyes dragon, having 2200 Attack Points and 1700 Defense Points.
"Des Volstgalph." Syrus saying the card's name, causing Sadie to gasp out loudly and lean over the counter.
"You got one of THE Des Volstgalph?!" she asked.
"YES!" Syrus squeaked out, frighten.
"Hold on." Alexis spoke up, "Sadie, you just said 'One of', are you saying there is only a certain number of them?"
"Yes!" Sadie yelled, "Just like the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, there are only three of them, and no one has found one of them!"
"So, no one knows what they do?" Syrus asked, before looking at Bastion.
"I'm afraid I don't have knowledge on the card." He replied, "But seeing how this is a Dragon, perhaps Draco can help, it is a Dragon after all."
"Ok, I know Draco is a Dragon expert." Sadie spoke up, "But this is a Dragon card no one has ever gotten yet. How would he know of it?"
Everyone looked back and forth, between each other, nervous that they might have spilled the beans, "Umm, Dr-Draco pretty much look into every Dragon card." Syrus spoke quickly, "He might have some basic knowledge on the card."
Sadie looked a little skeptical, but didn't press the matter any further, Suddenly Alexis' PDA chimed, getting a message from Draco, informing them, he was at the front entrance. Alexis tells the others, and they thank Sadie, walking off to the entrance. However, Yellow slightly froze as he looked back at the shop and froze seeing a large sinister form standing behind Syrus.
"Hey!" Chazz quietly hissed, "Get moving!"
Yellow looked back at Chazz before quickly looking back at the shop, seeing the form was gone. Once they caught up to Draco, and Syrus excitingly showing him the card.
"Wow." Draco replied, "I can't believe you got Des Volstgalph."
"So, do you know what it does?" Syrus asked.
"If I remember correctly," Draco said, "I believe you can deal 500 points of damage to your opponent, every time this Dragon destroys a Monster."
"With 2200 Attack Points, that's a powerful ability." Bastion stated.
"There was something else." Draco added, "Something to do with Spells and Quick-Play Spells, I can't remember."
"Is it immunity?" Mana asked.
"No, that's Horus the Black Flame Dragon at Level Six."
"Well, there is only one way for Syrus to find out." Alexis said, "He has to summon it and use a Spell card with it."
Everyone did agree to that, with Bastion agreeing to help find Spells and Quick-Play Spells for Syrus that won't upset his deck. Draco continue to look at the Dragon card, getting a concern look.
"What is it Draco?" Mana asked.
"Just trying to remember the rest of the ability of the Dragon." He replied, "There's more to it, I can't shake the feeling like I'm forgetting something." He thought, "Maybe Mom, can explain what I'm missing here."
After a bit of talking and congratulating Syrus on getting a Dragon card of his own, same as Yellow, Draco noticed the dark figure behind Syrus, however he looked around and noticed the others don't notice the figure, Draco excused himself to give his mother a call. Once in his dorm room, he quickly calls his house. As the digital call, rang for a few seconds.
"Is Mom not home at the moment?" he asked, before the ringing stopped.
"Hello, Kaitos residence."
"Ms. Gardner?" Draco gasped.
"Hey, Draco." Téa replied, "I have told you that you can address myself as well as the others by our first name."
"I know." Draco replied, "It's just-"
"A force of habit, I know." Téa replied, "But we did tell you, we graduated from Domino High, and your parents are not that much older than us."
"Hold on, we're side-tracking here!" Draco slightly yelled, "What are you doing at my house?"
Téa giggled slightly rubbing her head, "Well, your mother was feeling under the weather for the past few days," she started, "And your father has been late for the past days, and I had the day off from the Shop today and decided to help them out today."
"Wait, Mom never gets sick." Draco thought to himself, "I've never seen my Mom sick before." He told Téa, "Unless there are illnesses that can affect Dragons—" he suddenly smacked a hand over his mouth and widen his eyes, realizing what he said. However, looking at Téa, she just smiles sheepishly and chuckled just as awkward.
"We know." She replied.
"Wait, 'We'?" Draco gasped, "How? When?"
"Well, I was the first." She replied, "Your father just said your mother was sore and asked me to try and give her a massage, warning me she was going to be all natural."
"You were thinking my Mom was going to be nude, didn't you?"
"Yeah." Téa chuckled, "But I saw her as she was, and then in her anger blurt out what he was and called the Shop to get even with him."
Draco's head hung in embarrassment, "Yeah, that sounds like Mom." He muttered.
"So, everyone in the Shop knows about your parents, and you." Téa finished, "But getting back to what you said earlier, you said you never saw your mother get sick?"
"Yeah, I was the only one." Draco replied, "But I think that has to be being born as a human."
"Téa." A tired voice groaned out, "Go ahead and pan the camera this way."
"Was that Mom?" Draco thought, "She does sound sick."
"Are you sure, Saffira?" Téa asked.
"Yeah, he's going to find out, when he gets home when the school year ends."
Téa carefully shifted the camera to Saffira, Draco's computer showed his parents bed, with a rather large stack of sheets and blankets spread along the bed as his mother looked at the camera, tiredly.
"Hey, Mom." Draco said, "What's with the poorly made blanket fort?" he jokingly asked, trying to lighten the mood.
"Very funny, Sweetie." Saffira tiredly replied, "But I'm not in any mood for the jokes. This is a nest."
"A blanket nest?" Draco asked.
"Yes. You remember what your father and I told you when a Dragoness or female Dragon," Saffira clarified to Téa in the room, "makes a nest for?"
"Yeah." Draco replied, "You told me, that the Dragoness uses soft materials to make a nest for when she—" Draco's eyes widen again, realizing and looked at his mother through the computer as she gave a tired smile and small surprise jazz hands.
"Surprise." Saffira tiredly said with a smile, "You're going to be a big brother soon."
Draco was frozen by the news, mouth a gap for a few seconds, Téa leaning back into view, concern if the call was frozen.
"I'm going to have a sibling?" Draco asked, Saffira nods her head.
"We don't know what it'll be yet." Saffira stated, "But don't let it bother you. We have seen you with your friend Syrus, treating him as a young sibling."
"Yeah, that's true." Draco admitted.
"I don't think you have nothing to worry about." Téa chimed in, "If you do treat one of your friends like a sibling already, you know how to be a good older sibling."
"Thanks for that, Téa." Draco replied.
"I don't think you called just to see if I was well." Saffira told her son, "Was it something important?"
"Right!" Draco replied, "Mom, I need your help. Syrus, for the past few weeks, has been trying to get his hands on Dragon card."
"His Dark Magician Girl Fusion?"
"Yes, that one."
"Dragons pick their Duelists." Saffira tiredly replied.
"That's what we told him." Draco replied, "Well, it seems while I was in detention—"
"What the hell did those entitled pricks do THIS time?!" Saffira growled before groaning out.
"Hey, you really need to take it easy." Téa told her, "You don't want to stress anything out."
"Mom, please calm down." Draco pleaded, "They were picking on Syrus, and I stood up for him."
"He does have a point of you needing to calm down." Téa spoke, "Although, I'm a little confused."
"I got into a fist fight- if you want to call a single thrown punch that- with one of the Obelisk students." Draco replied, "Anyways, getting back to the Dragon Syrus got. It seems Syrus got Des Volstgalph."
Saffira glanced at the computer, clearly disturbed. She then tried to get off of her next, startling Téa and Draco, "Tell me you didn't say 'Des Volstgalph'!" she slightly snarled.
"Whoa, easy there, Saffira!" Téa called out, standing up and placing her hands on Saffira's shoulders, trying to gently push her back to the bed.
"Mom, you need to calm down and tell me, what has gotten you to become aggressive." Draco pleaded.
"Just tell me you didn't—Damn it Téa, let go of me!"
Téa struggled trying to her the Dragon Queen back, but still held her ground before firmly, yet gently pushed her back to the bed, "You need to calm down!" she yelled back, "I may not know how pregnancy works for Dragons, but if there is one thing Health class taught me it's this; Being stressed out is not good for the unborn baby!"
Saffira growled softly before sighing out and stopped resisting Téa's shoving, "Alright!" she slightly yelled, "Both of you are correct."
"Mom, is there something awful about Des Volstgalph?" Draco asked.
"I'll make it simple." Saffira replied, "With how gentle and kind-hearted Syrus is, he must never summon that, Dragon!"
"What could happen if he does?"
"Des Volstgalph is a sub-species of the Berserker Dragons." Saffira explained, "You know how Dinok, causes others to become more enraged and he grows stronger from it?"
"Wait, isn't that one of his Duel Monster cards?" Téa asked, "Why would a card do—It's like you isn't it, Saffira?"
"Téa?" Draco asked, getting her to look at the screen, "The Dragon Guards are not just my deck, each card houses their Duel Spirit." He explained, "And they have severed the Royal Dragon line."
"You've seen Shadow Games, saw Monsters coming to life, traveled through time, and found out that two friends, one being a co-worker, are Duel Spirits." Saffira listed off, "And this slightly shocks you?"
"It's been a day so far." Téa replied, "But you did say the Dragon picks the Duelist, right?"
"I did." Saffira replied.
"So, doesn't that mean this Dragon, Des Volstgalph, chose Draco's friend?"
"Des Volstgalph, goes after those like Syrus." Saffira explained, "they target people, who are kind, soft-spoken, and rarely have any violent outbursts. Making the human become a person they are not and feeding off the pain they inflect on others."
Draco looked concerned before getting a determined stare, "I'll call you back, Mom." He said, "I have a question for someone else." Draco ended the call and shut the computer down before standing up and sighed out, "Alright, Dinok. I have a very good question for you."
The Berserker who stood by just huffs in amusement, "And what is that question?"
"How did the Berserker Dragons come to serve the Royal line?" Draco asked, "All the scrolls say the same thing; 'The Berserkers served no one.' Explain why you do now."
Dinok smirked as he looked down at Draco, "Wondered when you would get the balls to ask that question." He replied with a huff, "That is an interesting story and will take a bit to explain."
On Saffira's and Téa's side of the call, they both looked confused from the sudden end to the call. Saffira sighs out before shifting herself to get comfortable once more.
"That boy of mine." She sighs.
"What do you mean?" Téa asked, "Is it the way he just ended the call on us?"
"No." Saffira replied, "He's just like myself and his father. Is mind was set on something and nothing was going to talk him out of it."
"I take it that can be both a good and a bad trait?"
"It mostly comes out with him helping others." Saffira replied, "But more on that later. I need you to grab that notepad and pen by the bed for me."
Téa walked over to a small table by the bed, finding the notepad and pen and handed the mover to Saffira, "Just hold on to the notepad for me." She told Téa, before taking hold of the pen and wrote something down, making sure her writing wasn't too sloppy to read, "Alright, I need you to say this, with authority in your voice."
Téa looked over what was written down, with a raised brow, looking at the notepad, "Umm, two things Saffira." She said, "The first is, I don't know this language, and the second is, I don't think I can pronounce these words."
"Téa, I'm too exhausted to say the words." Saffira groaned out, "I need someone else to say the words and at the moment—"
Suddenly they both heard the front door open, "Krono isn't supposed to be home for another hour." Saffira muttered.
"Téa, Mrs. Kaitos?"
"That voice." Téa spoke up, "That's Yugi."
"You think Krono asked him to come help check on me?" Saffira asked.
"Maybe, give me a moment." Téa replied, "We're up here, Yugi!"
"Is it alright for us to come in?" Yugi asked out. Téa looked over getting a nod from Saffira.
"Yeah, she says it's fine."
Saffir's eyes snapped suddenly, "Wait a minute, did he say 'us'?" she thought, "Who else tagged along with him?"
Steps were heard coming up the stairs, as Téa went to the door and slightly opened it, seeing Yugi as well as a young teen with back length chestnut hair, eyes matching her hair. Wearing a yellow t-shirt with a pink vest over the shir and wearing blue jean shorts.
"Oh hey, Serenity." Téa said, "What brings you around here?"
"I was on my way to see Joey." The young teen replied, "But then I spotted Yugi, and told me he was going to help you with a friend. I thought I could help out."
"Well, that is kind of you, but I don't know how she would feel about it." Téa replied, "Let me check with her first."
Téa turned around seeing Saffira already baring her fangs and snarling at the doorway, "Umm, I-I don't think she is up for any—" Téa begin before Saffira lets out a loud snarl interrupting her.
"Yugi Muto!" Saffira snarled out, causing Téa to jump, Serenity to gasp lightly, and Yugi to let out a startled yelp.
"Oh, crap!" he thought, "I didn't think this through."
"Who the hell did you bring into my house?!" Saffira demanded.
"First Saffira, please calm down." Téa pleaded, "She's good friend, trust me on that."
Saffira continued to snarl out, causing Téa to rethink the situation, until the door behind her pushed open slightly and the young teen walked into the room, causing Saffira to snarl more threatening.
"An actual Duel Monster?" she asked in shock, before looking at Téa, "There isn't another world ending catastrophe is there?"
"Not that we know of." Téa replied.
"Excuse me!" Saffira snarled again, getting both girls to jump slightly, "Who the hell are you?!"
The girl looked startled, before Téa placed her hand on her shoulder and lean closely to her ear, "Be honest with her." She said, "And please be quick, I don't think her acting like this is good for her unborn child."
The young teen slowly steps forward, looking at Saffira, before giving a smile, "I'm Serenity Wheeler." She said, "I'm Joey Wheeler's little sister."
Saffira gave a surprise gasp as her snarling stopped as she looked at the young girl, "Wait a moment." She said, "We've met before, haven't we?"
"I think I would remember if I met a real Duel Monster before." Serenity stated.
"In the Battle City finals, on that blimp." Saffira added, "Now I remember you. Kindhearted, looked after Mai after her duel with Marik."
Serenity looked confused, before her mind flashed to the moment on the said blimp as she stood near a woman with similar hair and eyes as the Duel Monster in front of her.
"Wait, are you saying, you're the Duelist that was called, Sophi Kaitos?" Serenity asked.
"The very same." Saffira replied, "But, I'm truly called—" she then groans out in pain, before huffing heavily, "For fuck's sake!"
"Are you alright, Saffira?" Téa asked.
"YUGI!" Saffira roared out causing the three guest to jump and Yugi to let out a startled yelp from behind the door, "Get your ass in here now!"
Yugi again yelped before stumbling into the room, "Good." Saffira groaned out, "Now, get his Royal ass out here!"
"Umm, Téa?" Serenity asked, "What is she talking about?"
"Well, to sum it up," she replied, "Did you ever noticed when Yugi dueled, he seemed slightly taller, and his voice is gets deeper?"
"I just thought he was getting serious."
"Umm, Y-Your H-Highness?" Yugi stammered, trying to be polite, "I don't think that is such—"
Yugi quickly went silent as Saffira snarled out in both anger and pain, while bursting with her White Flames, which also caused Téa and Serenity to gasp out.
"GET! HIS! ROYAL! ASS! OUT!" Saffira practically roared, getting everyone to panic.
"Yugi!" Téa yelled, "Just get Atem out here!"
Yugi quickly looked down at the Puzzle and noticed his own legs were shaking, "Well, your time to shine, my friend!" he quickly said, before the Puzzle began to shine, and when the bright light dimmed, the slightly taller "Yugi" stood there, before giving a surprised gasp and looked at the Puzzle holding it up higher.
"Yugi!" Atem yelled, "What makes you think I want to—"
Saffira let out a loud hiss, getting his attention, "Uh, hello?" he greeted.
"Téa, give him the notepad, NOW!" Saffira hissed out, before groaning out the final word. She quickly rushed over to him and handed the notepad to him.
"Listen, the way she is acting, I think she might be going into labor!" Téa told him, "And I think the name here is someone she thinks or knows that can help, and I can't read the language she wrote down!"
Atem looked at the notepad and carefully looked at what was written, carefully looking at the language that was written, "It has been sometime since I last saw this language." He thought. A transparent mental of Yugi appeared next to him looking at the notepad as well, slightly concern.
"But you can read it, right?"
"Yugi, the last time I saw this language was over 5000 years ago." He replied, "I can still read it, but I might mispronounce them. Whoever, it's supposed to call might not come."
Yugi looked back at the notepad before giving a smile, "What if you add some Millennium Puzzle into the command?"
Atem looked over to the mental project of his friend and just smiled back, "That could work." He replied, "Say it with the authority of a Pharaoh, and using Magic from the Spirit World, it could work."
Atem took a deep breath as the Insignia on his Puzzle began to shine, the Insignia appears on his forehead, as he held his hand out in front of him, like he was preforming a summoning ritual.
"Vahraniik, Zu'u bel faal!" Atem shouted out. ("Vahraniik, I summon thee!")
After which Saffira groans out before placing her head into the blanket nest, to which Serenity noticed the groan sounded different that the previous ones, "Hey Téa?" she asked, getting her attention, "I think that groan she gave out was more of annoyance than pain."
Saffira lift her head up and looked at them slightly pissed off, "He mispronounced every word." Saffira groaned out. The room quickly lit up, and the three humans saw another dragon in the room facing away from them as it slowly stood up and let out a very annoyed growl.
"When I find the Human that dared insult the Tongue of my Ancestors, I'll claw out his vocal cords, heal him up, and claw them out again!" The dragon snarled and turned around and glared at the three humans looking back at her.
"Umm, I was doing it on behalf of her." Atem said pointing to the bed, the new dragon looked over before gasping out.
"Y-Your Highness?!"
"Vahraniik, ofaal hin slov avok het nu!" Saffira snarled out in pain. ("Vahraniik, get your tail over here now!")
The Dragon, that the others now know as Vahraniik quickly rushed over, looking her over before gasping lightly, "Queen Saffira?! When were going to going to tell me you were with a second child?!"
"Umm, if-if I can speak up?" Téa asked, getting Vahraniik to glare over, "I-I guess her pregnancy was going smoothly until just now."
"I don't know who you are—" Vahraniik started but was cut off from a sudden choke grab and looked down in fear as Saffira snarled at her.
"Dreh ni tinvaak wah dii fahdon tol ven!" Saffira growled out, before releasing her grip on Vahraniik. ("Do not speak to my friend in that way!")
Vahraniik's hands started to glow as she looked over the bulge in Saffira, "By the Gods," she gasped, "she's going into labor!" She looks at the two girls with a worried look, pointing at Téa, "I need you to go get hot water!"
"How hot?" she asked.
"The hottest you can get it, boil it if you have to! No scratch that, get it has hot as you can and bring up here, in a pot!" Téa quickly ran out of the room as Vahraniik then turned to Serenity, "Get any and every towels you can find, the larger the better!"
Serenity quickly rushed out of the room, looking for towels, Vahraniik then turns to Atem, "You! Out!"
"Out of the room?" he asked.
"Yes! Out of the room!" She hissed, before moving towards him and quickly shoved him out of the room and slammed the door behind him, leaving the Pharoah very confused.
"In her defense," Yugi spoke up, "her Queen was in labor, and I don't want to see that."
"Not until you and Téa have a kid of your own?"
Yugi immediately went quiet, before shaking his head violently, Ok, we are NOT talking about that!"
Atem chuckled lightly before getting a realization as he then went down the stairs, "Hey, what's going on?" Yugi asked.
"I think we need to get Krono to come home." Atem replied, looking around for a phone, finding Téa in the kitchen filling the largest pot she could find, "Hey, Téa? Since you have been here before, do you know where their phone is?"
"On the wall right behind, Atem." She replied, as she carefully lifts the pot and starts to head up the stairs. Atem turned around seeing the phone on the wall, he picked the receiver up as a screen lit up showing recent calls.
"Oh, it's a Video Phone." Yugi chimed in.
"So, all I do is touch the 'Game Shop' and it'll call?"
"Yeah, that's about it, and I think you can just use the receiver or place it back for a face-to-face talk."
Atem looked hesitant at first, before slightly touching the screen and it began to call the Shop, hearing the other line buzz for a few seconds, before hearing someone picking up the other end.
"Thank you for calling da Game Shop, this is Joey Wheeler speaking."
"Joey, I need to either speak to Krono or have you pass a message to him." Atem replied to the standard greetings. It took Joey a few seconds on the other side of the call to realize who he was talking to.
"Oh, dang!" he said, "Sorry it took me a while to realize it's you, man."
"Joey?" Atem calmly asked, "I need Krono on the phone."
"Oh right! Hold on, man." Joey replied, there was a bit of static that followed, which Atem figured Joey placed the receiver down, "Hey Krono?" Joey's voice was heard but more faintly.
"What is it, Joey?" Krono asked, fainter than Joey.
"Yug's on da phone for ya."
After a bit of faint voices, the phone began to scuffle around, "So, is this Yugi or Atem I'm speaking with?" Krono asked in a quiet tone.
"It's Atem at the moment."
"OK, so, where are you calling from?" Krono asked.
"Your home." Atem replied, "You do need to come here now. Your wife or mate, is going into labor." After hearing this the phone suddenly goes quiet followed by a sudden "click".
"Did…did he just hang up on me?"
"I think he did, Atem."
Over the at the Shop, after hanging up Krono quickly ran from the counter to the living room, "Mr. Muto!"
"Good god!" Solomon gasped out, "I do not want a heart attack right now, Youngster!"
"Sir, I need to get home!" Krono said, "Yugi just told me, my wife is in labor!"
The three men look at him stunned as well as the customers, "Dude! What are you doing standing there?!" Tristan called out, "Get going!" Krono, not waiting for a second response, he took off out of the building, getting on his motorcycle, and began to drive down the road to his home. Back at the Academy, Draco stayed sited in the computer chair as Dinok explained a brief version of how the Berserker Dragons came to serve the Royal Bloodline.
"Well, I don't need to tell you the history of the Berserkers, since you had to study all of the species to be a ruler over us." Dinok stated, "Now how we came to serve your mother, it was after she and Lord Krono became mates as well as the King and Queen of Dragons. We, Berserkers refused to submit to their rule, and they came to the Berserker Alpha."
"The Alpha of your species." Draco stated, "Supposedly the strongest of every single one of you."
"Correct." Dinok said, "And your mother challenged him. Of course, we all took it as a joke. When they began it was over with just your mother landing two blows to the Alpha: one punch to his chest, and an above flip kick to his head, slamming him to the ground. What she did next is why we serve the Bloodline."
"Wait, the two blows that made your Alpha fall wasn't enough?" Draco asked.
"Interrupt my story again, boy! SEE WHAT HAAPENS!" Dinok roared out, before calming down, "What she did next, as the Alpha tried to get up, she stepped on his head and kept him on the ground followed by a single word; Submit."
"I take it she used the Ancestral Tongue?"
"She did." Dinok replied, "And the sheer dominance behind that voice, sent a message to the rest of the Berserkers and that message was: 'Kneel or die!' it was the first time, that the Berserker species felt true fear for the first time, I was there, and I was the first one to kneel to her might. After I knelt to her, the others followed, only the Alpha refused to kneel. He broke free from her foot, and I saw her White Flame used in battle."
Dinok's mind flashed to that day as the previous Berserker Alpha got his head free and lunge towards Saffira, only to be met with a stream of White Fire, roaring out in pain before he slammed into the ground, showing half his face seared off and looked at her in pure terror.
"So, if he was defeated by my Mother, who's the current Alpha of the Berserkers?" Draco asked, "Last I check on scrolls if the previous Alpha Berserker lost a fight, the others would see him or her unfit to lead them."
"Why do you think I'm with the Dragon Guard?" Dinok asked.
"Hold on, you're the current Berserker Alpha?!"
"My Berserker Rage is what only a Pure Berserker can use, the last Alpha was thought to be the only one, but I was able to use, and it's the reason the Dragon Guards chained me down, I didn't officially lose that fight, so the Berserkers still obeyed my rule when the current King and Queen were never around."
"So, that being said, you should be able to tell Des Volstgalph to stay in line?" Draco asked.
"The Sub-Species of the Berserkers are different," Dinok remarked, "they still hold to the very old ways, only when they get defeated it battle will they obey."
Draco lets out a sigh as he leans back into the chair, "So, in other words, we have to have Syrus summon him and defeat him in the duel?"
"That is the only way." Dinok replied, "And you better do it as soon as possible, if we wait for a dumbass to duel him, that pipsqueak could start being more aggressive."
Suddenly, Draco's PDA chime off with a ringtone, getting it out of his pocket and seeing it's from Alexis, "Hey, Alexis. What's going on?"
"Draco, you need to come to the front entrance of the Academy!"
"What happened?"
"An Obelisk found out Syrus has Des Volstgalph!"
"What how?!" Draco asked.
"Syrus accidently bumped into him and dropped it." Alexis explained, "And the Obelisk forced him to duel, and Syrus summoned the Dragon!"
Draco grew silent as Dinok noticed the fear in his eyes, "And Syrus started to act differently!" Alexis continued, "Draco, you need to come here!"
After the call ended, Draco looked over to the Berserk Guard, "No need to say anything," he replied, "your eyes say it all."
"Let's go." Draco ordered and quickly took off to the front entrance. After about three minutes of running, he saw the group of friends, spotting Alexis, he quickly made his way next to her.
"What's happen so far?" Draco asked, before looking at the Duel, seeing the Obelisk terrified, with only one monster in Defense mode before glancing to Syrus' field, seeing Des Volstgalph glaring down at the opponent, but also seeing a strange dark aura around Syrus.

"Sh-shut up!" Zachary stuttered, "Y-you're trash, nothing co-compared to us—"
"Low life like you don't deserve to speak to a superior being such as myself." Syrus cockily replied.
"What the hell?!" Chazz spoke up, "I might not know him as long as the rest of you, but he never sounded like that."
"That's because, it isn't Syrus." Draco told them, while glaring at the Dragon on his field, "That was Des Volstgalph speaking through him."
"Fine, it's my turn." Syrus bluntly said, drawing his card and smiled, "Looks like I win, I activate Shield Crush!"
"What?!" Zachery gasped, before his only defense shattered in front of him.
"And since I used a Normal Spell, I get even stronger!" Syrus added, as the aura around him grew slightly larger as the Dragon snarled out.

"Hold on a second!" Zachery yelled out, before the large dark crimson dragon began to charge a fireball in its mouth.
"Dragonfire Burst!" Des Volstagh blasted the large fireball and exploded as it hits Zachery. Once the smoke cleared Zachery laid on the ground, groaning out in pain. Draco narrowed his eyes as he walked over to where Zachery stood and looked over to the possessed Syrus.
"What do you want?" he sneered.
"A Duel. Right here, right now, Des Volstagh." Draco replied, which in turn caused Syrus to nearly snarl out in anger.
"Who are you to demand that I should duel you?!" Syrus demanded.
"Let's start with the fact, that I am your Prince." Draco replied.
"I would never bend knee to a pathetic low-life like a human!"
"But you did bend knee to me!" a voice roared out, right Dinok stood between the two of them and snarled angrily. Syrus stumbled a bit looking at Dinok, "So, how about I order you to Duel the Young Prince? Or would you rather word to spread to the other Berserkers that you were afraid to battle a human?"
"You think I would let a human spread such lies!?" Syrus roared out.
"Then duel us!" Dinok roared back before turning into Spirit Energy and returned to the Draco's deck.
A few turns into the Duel, the friend group looked very nervous as Syrus grew more and more cocky and rude with both of them with low Life Points.

One facedown back row
Draco panted out from the last attack that sent Drake to the grave, "Well, human?" Syrus sneered, "What are you waiting for, draw your last card so I can finally do what I please."
Dinok?" Draco panted out, getting the Berserker's attention, "If I don't get what I need, this duel is over for us."
"When have we let you down before?" Dinok growled turning his attention back to the other Dragon. Draco smiled and drew his card, "I activate Pot of Greed!"
"You know his luck is pretty good,' Chazz spoke up, "But if doesn't get the card he needs, it's over."
"We just heard him say that." Mana remarked.
"She does have a point, Boss." Yellow added.
"Shut it." Chazz snapped.
Draco drew his two cards and gave a smile, "I drew what we needed to win!" he announced, causing the dark crimson dragon to snarl out.
"And what makes you think you have won!?"
"I activate the Equip Spell, Berserker's Gauntlets!" Draco slide the third card into the back row as Dinok raised his arms and the heavy iron spiked, blood-stained and dripping, armor appears on his arms and roared out as he extends his claws.
Dinok, the Berserk Dragon Guard
ATK/2800-3800
Next, I activate, my face-down Continuous Trap; Dragon Guard Skill: Berserker's Rage! Giving Dinok, 500 more attack points!" Dinok roared out as the dark crimson aura erupted from his body as the muscles bulge out as he roars and snarls, as his glare towards the other Dragon turned to one of death.
Dinok, the Berserk Dragon Guard
ATK/3800-4300
"Dinok! Bring that Dragon to my feet!" Draco ordered. Dinok roared out and dashed out towards the other Berserker as he snarls out.
"Fool, I win." Des Volstagh spoke through Syrus, "I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Graceful Dice!" Face down card on Syrus' field flip up revealing a strange little angel looking creature holding a big blue die.
"That's not good!" Bastion gasped out.
"What do you mean?" Alexis asked, before slightly gasped as Tania appeared.
"Graceful Dice will multiply the monster's attack points on the same side as it." She explained, "And looking at the attack and seeing the last Duel, not only will the Dragon get 500 extra attack, but if he rolls just a two, his attack doubles and he wins."
"Oh, that is bad!" Mana added, before Des Volstagh roared out as the aura around it grew larger.
Des Volstagh
ATK/2200-2700
"Now Graceful Dice, roll and give me victory!" the strange creature released the large blue die, letting it bounce around on the field as the group looked in dread, know a two would be enough to cause Syrus or Des Volstagh to win the duel, to which the die bounced, landing on two.
"Well, look right there." Syrus spoke, "Looks like my Attack doubles!"
Des Volstagh
ATK/2700-5200
"Now I counterattack!"
Des Volstagh roared out as it charged at Dinok with the intent to kill, as the possessed Syrus began to chuckle cockily.
"Oh man this is bad!" Mana yelled.
"I can't believe that Slacker is going to lose, and it's not to me!" Chazz added.
However, Alexis caught a glimpse at Draco, "Wait, is Draco, smiling?"
The others, including Tania, looked at her before looking at Draco and indeed, he was smiling, chuckling actually, which irritated Syrus.
"What the hell do you find so funny, low life scum!?"
"If you were Syrus," Draco said, "then you would have known, I planned for this! I activate my finally face down; the Trap card, Skull Dice!" The final card on Draco's field flipped up revealing a small demon like creature holding a large red die as it appeared giving a small, wicked snicker.
"WHAT?!" Syrus demanded.
"Well, like you all I need is a two and I win." Draco told him, "Skull Dice, roll the die!"
The small demon let the red die go as it bounced around for a bit, before it stopped, landing on four, "Guess that means your attack is divided by four, doesn't it?" Draco asked.
Des Volstagh
ATK/5200-1300
"Dinok, bring him to my feet!" Draco ordered. Without any hesitation, Dinok slammed one of his heavily gauntlet fist into Des Volstagh's chest, launching the crimson dragon higher off the ground, before pulling his right arm back and slammed into Des Volstagh's jaw, sending him flying up to the air. Dinok spread his wings, launching himself towards the other dragon, Dinok noticed the dark aura shooting out of the Des Volstagh, with a quick glace he noticed being attached to Syrus slowly getting larger, before he took hold of the aura and snarled out.
"And where do you think you're going?!" Dinok demanded, before yanking at the aura, pulling all of it off of Syrus. Once it was all off of him, Syrus gave a startled yell before falling back and sat on the ground.
"Ow! My head!" he groaned out. Dinok threw the aura back into the hologram of the crimson dragon, and took off after it, flying past Des Volstagh and then flipped himself over and then dove straight down, taking hold of the other dragon's head, causing it to snarl out in pain from the momentum of him still heading skyward and Dinok diving down at him. Draco kept his eyes to the sky as he noticed both Dragons came crashing into the center of the field, kicking up a large blast of dust. Syrus coughed out, still confused.
"Hold on, am I still dueling Zachery?" he asked, as the dust started to clear, before yelling in fear as Dinok rose from the crater with Des Volstagh in his claws, before chucking him towards Draco. Des Volstagh groaned out as he skids to a stop, in front of Draco.
Syrus LP:900-0
"Wait a second, when did I start dueling Draco?!"
Des Volstagh tried to get himself up, but Draco slammed his foot on top of his head, pinning him to the ground, and glared down at him. Des Volstagh glared back, before suddenly getting a wave of fear.
"What?!" he thought, "Th-that glare it can't be!" A mental image of Saffira stood next to Draco, giving the same glare, back when all of the Berserkers kneel to her dominating their Alpha.
Draco's eyes turn to slits, as he put pressure on Des Volstagh, bursting with his Flame, "Qiilaak!" he hissed. ("Submit!")
Des Volstagh stared at Draco in terror, before Draco pushed harder, "I want to hear you say it!" he demanded.
"Z-Zu'u qiilaak wah faal D-Dovah K-Kulaan." Des Volstagh stuttered. ("I submit to the Dragon Prince.")
Draco removed his foot as Dinok landed nearby, "Stay where you are, Des Volstagh!" Draco ordered, and then looked up to Syrus, "Syrus! Come over here for a second."
Syrus quickly stood up and ran over to where Draco stood, circling the crater, not sure if it was a hologram or not. Once with Draco, Syrus looked at the very injured Crimson Dragon as Draco looked up to Dinok.
"Dinok?" Draco asked, "What's the punishment on Dragons attacking any of the Royal Family?"
"The punishment is death." Dinok snarled, "But of course as a Berserker, dying is considered a high honor if it was in combat."
"He needs to be shamed." Draco stated, "And I know just how."
Draco carefully position Syrus to stand in front of Des Volstagh, "This human, who you tried to control," Draco said, "my best friend, Syrus, you are going to serve him from now on."
Des Volstagh gave a shocked growl as Dinok chuckled, "Being forced to serve a Human, is the biggest blow to our pride."
"And the conditions; the first is Syrus' orders he gives are to be treated as if I gave them to you." Draco told the Dragon, "And the second; if I catch wind of you possessing him in any amount, I will release Dinok from his restraints, and you will face your Alpha's full power."
Des Volstagh looked at Dinok as he returned a smile while cracking his neck, "Oh please, say the Young Lord is bluffing." He said, "I would love to see your face when you get a glimpse of your hell."
The crimson Dragon slowly turned into the dark aura he vanished and entered the card still laying on Syrus' Duel Disk. Once he was gone, Dinok did the same shortly after, Syrus looking at Draco, still very confused.
"What is going on?!" he asked.
"You're going to want to sit down for this explanation, little buddy." Draco replied. After getting a table in one of the eating areas, Draco explained everything about Des Volstagh and the Berserker Dragons, as well as what kind of humans Des Volstagh targets and takes control of them.
"I had to duel him while he was in control of you, to make him submit to the Royal Bloodline again." Draco finished explaining, "Also, thinking I was a human might have really damaged his pride."
"So, is Syrus going to be alright, now?" Mana asked.
"He should be." Draco replied, "You all have seen Dinok if I unbind him twice already, and he is the current Berserker Alpha, and as far as I have known him, none of the other Berserkers dare to fight him."
"And we did hear that threat you told Des Volstagh." Bastion added, "I doubt even he would want to feel his Alpha's wrath."
"Considering, we did see how that Dragon pummeled my Armed Dragon Lv10 like it was nothing." Chazz stated, "And what he did to that Dracula card."
"The beat down on that Dracula card was worse than what happen to your card, Chazz." Alexis added.
"Yeah, what was up with that? Blasting fire down Dracula's throat?" Chazz asked.
"Dinok was pissed off." Draco simply said, "Honestly, he was in fact holding back on both of those monsters."
"Wait, that was Dinok holding back, both times?" Syrus asked.
"And from you said about that armor being restraints on him," Tiana added, "he was REALLY holding back when he punched my Sister Fighter into the wall, twice?"
"Yeah." Draco replied, "If he wasn't holding back, there would have been limbs flying off the monsters."
Everyone shuttered at the thought of Dinok ripping arms and legs off in a pure blinding rage. But the group went the rest of the day as normal. The next few days, went uneventful, except for Draco still doing his detention, to Draco's surprise after the room Ms. Dorothy needed to be cleared out, he was done with his detention. Realizing his PDA had a new Academy rule update, to which detention was as long as the teacher seem fit and no longer a month long. After words, the hallway the room was in was closes off for a few more days, Saturday rolled in, and Draco went up to the Nurse's office, seeing Nurse Fortaine, Alexis, Vahraniik, and the Slasher Brothers in the room.
"What are you doing here, Draco?" Fortaine asked.
"Just checking in on Atticus." Draco replied, "And it was the only place I could think of that I would find you."
"Sorry about that." Alexis replied.
"There really is no need for that." He stated, "This is your brother after all, it's natural that you should be worried about him. Speaking of, how is his mind coming along, Vahraniik?"
"Well." She replied, looking worried to find the right words.
"Vahraniik?" Draco asked.
"I thought more of his mind would have been restored by now." She replied.
"Is something wrong?" Alexis asked.
"Well, I think either something or someone is keeping his mind locked up." Vahraniik replied.
"Have you been able to find the source of this blockage?" Draco asked.
"All I can say it comes from the Shadow Realm."
Draco and Alexis looked nervous with Nurse Fortaine looking puzzled, before Rith gets her attention and began to sign language to her a short version of the Shadow Realm.
"I think I understand." She replied, which got Draco attention.
"You can read Sign Language?" he asked.
"A nurse has to be ready for any form of communication." She replied with a prideful smile, "It was one of the first things I mastered when I went to medical school."
Draco looked back at Rith looking just as surprised before smiling, "Color me impressed." Rith signed.
"You can sign that again." Draco replied, "Before I forget, Vahraniik? Did you ever check on Mom?"
"Actually a few days ago, I was summoned to her." She replied, "And when did you learn about her condition, Young Lord?!"
"Condition?" Alexis asked.
"Ms. Rhodes? I don't think—" Fortaine started.
"It's ok, Nurse Fortaine." Draco replied, "She has met my mother herself. And Vahraniik? I learned about my mother's pregnancy the same day Syrus got Des Volstagh. I called home to get some info on the Dragon and that's when I learned, so perhaps the same day you learn."
"Pregnancy?!" Alexis and Fortaine both gasped as well as the Slasher Brothers signing as the same time.
"Yes, my mother is pregnant."
"Was." Vahraniik corrected him.
"Was?!" the rest of the room gasped again, including Draco.
"Yes, when I was summoned back to the house, Her Highness had gone into labor. Luckily some of her friends were in the house at the time and helped out with the laying."
"Hold on." Fortaine spoke up, "What do you mean by 'the laying', you mean birthing, right?"
The three Dragons in the room gave the nurse a deadpan stare, "Oh, right. Dragons lay eggs." She muttered in embarrassment.
"Which is a little confusing for me." Draco said, "Vahraniik, you told me, when I was fourteen, you told me that Mom had me as a human. Giving birth to me and not laying an egg."
"Your parents and I came with a theory about that." Vahraniik replied, "Since your mother was in the Illusion for most of her pregnancy, we believe while you were growing in her womb, you were pulling the magic from the Illusion into you, which could explain why you were born as a human."
"So, I'm kind of stuck in a permanent realistic Illusion?" Draco asked.
"It's possible." She replied.
"But something doesn't add up then." Alexis stated, "If this is supposed to be an Illusion then how come on Duel Spirit Day, Draco reverted back to looking like this and not remaining in his Spirit form?"
They looked at Alexis with this information she gave them, "She's right." Draco stated, "I was in my Spirit form as the costume for the day, but when it ended, I shifted out. The only time I did shift willingly, was against Night Shroud."
"Yes, I remember." Vahraniik replied, "I could be more of a reverse Illusion. Since Her Highness found out she was pregnant with you while in the Illusion, we advise her not to shift out of it, in case it could harm you."
"I don't understand any of this." Fortaine spoke up, "How could an Illusion bring harm to an unborn child?"
"Nurse Fortaine." Vahraniik spoke up, "It's a realistic Illusion. They appear and feel human. If you manage to see through the Illusion, you won't expose them by trying to pull on their wings or step on their tails, because they are not there."
"That has to be a very powerful magic." Alexis said.
"Dragons are said to be very knowledgeable in magic." Draco stated, "But getting back to the subject; Something in the Shadow Realm is blocking Atticus from regaining his memories?"
"That is indeed what is going on." Vahraniik replied, "That could explain the fevers he's been having. Atticus is fighting off who or whatever is blocking his memories."
"Well, we know it can't be Night Shroud." Draco stated.
"Perhaps it's another Shadow Rider?" Alexis asked, "That is a good possibility." He replied.
The next few days went on as normal, except the hallway that the room Draco help clean out was closed off, so the students had to go around to get to either hang-out spots or the next class. The Key Bearers started to get a little on edge, as the Shadow Riders hadn't made a move on them for nearly two weeks. However, the Monday of the third week, Draco woke up to find his Dorm room empty. He left the room and noticed the entire Slifer Dorm was even quiet, even walking through the Main Building was quiet. Draco started to think it was the work of the Shadow Riders, until he noticed a group of students in the hallway that was closed off, mostly the Slifer and Ra students, and recognized one of the Ras.
"Hey, Yuri?" Draco called out getting the girl from the Ra Yellow Girl dorm's attention.
"Huh?"
"What's going on?"
"You're that Slifer? The one that uses that strange Dragon deck, right?" she asked.
"The Dragon Guards, yes." He corrected her, "The name is Draco."
"Oh, right." She muttered, "S-sorry I'm not that good with names."
"Or the fact that am a Slifer?"
"It's not that, I swear!" Yuri defended herself, "No one in the Yellow Dorm would dare upset you! I'm really not good with names!"
Draco decided to test that statement to be sure she wasn't looking down at him, "Hmm, if what you are saying is true, who am I dating?"
Yuri looked stunned by the question and began to panic, "Oh god what is her name again?! It-it's th-the Queen of Obelisk Blue, right?!"
"And?" Draco asked, "What's her name?" Draco saw the panic getting worse and Yuri was visibly shaking, he decided to raise his hand to calm her down, "Alright, I believe you. You are terrible with names. Sorry I had to be sure you were telling the truth."
One of the Ra boys turned around and noticed Draco, "Oh, hey Draco!" he called out, getting his attention.
"Huh? Hiiragi?" Draco asked.
The other Slifers and Ras stepped aside allowing Draco to get through to Hiiragi, "What's going on?" Draco asked.
"I think you need to through the Blue Dorm to see what's going on." Hiiragi replied.
Draco started to gently shove the Blue dorm to the side to get through, with some giving him trouble but a surprised others actually stepped aside in fear of him.
"Oh, Alexis!" Draco called out, seeing her.
"There you are Draco!" Helping him get through the rest of the Blue dorm, Draco noticed Syrus was in a duel facing a Ra Yellow student.

"Huh? Syrus?!" Draco called out.
"Hmm? Oh, hey Draco!" Syrus said with a smile, "Finally decided to get out of bed?"
"Yeah, but what's going on? Why are you in a duel?"
"Just watch until the duel ends." Mana said.
"I now activate, Heavy Storm from my hand!" Dimitri yelled out.
"Before your Storm destroys my facedown card, I'll activate my facedown card, Graceful Dice!"

The students began to talk to each other. "Did the Slifer Truesdale say he used Graceful Dice?" "Oh my god! How did he get such a Super Rare card?"
"Ok Graceful Dice! Go ahead and roll the die!" Syrus announced, as the little angel creature dropped the blue die, it bounced for a bit for stopping on five.
"Alright!" Syrus cheered, "Now my Des Volstagh's attack is multiplied by five!"

After the attack was raised the three cards got vaporized by the strong wind, followed by two golden statues appearing on Dimitri's field.
"Wait a second." Draco thought, "That combo looks familiar. Not only that, the way the Ra is talking also sounds like—"
"I sacrifice my two Wicked Tokens to summon Ancient Gear Golem!" Dimitri announced.
A familiar old machine started to rise behind him as the two statues vanished into dust of light particles, the machine slowly rose to its feet as the eyes shine brightly as if it became fully activated.

"Hold on." Draco said, "Is-is he copying Crowler's deck?!"
"That would be Dimitri." Bastion spoke up, standing next to Draco, "He's known as 'The Mimic Duelist' since he seems to copy the decks of known Duelists, and even copies how they talk."
"Now, my Ancient Gear Golem!" Dimitri continued his turn, "Mechanized Melee!"
The large machine reared it's right fist with its aim towards Syrus' Jetroid.
"Not so fast!" Syrus called out, "When Jetroid is attacked, I can use its Special Ability! I can use a Trap card from my hand!"
"What card does Syrus have to stop that attack?" Draco asked, "Could it be, Skull Dice?"
"We're going to find out." Bastion said with a smirk.
"I activate, Magic Cylinder!"
"TIME OUT!"
The strange cylinders appeared, with one taking the giant machine's fist and it came out the other one and towards Dimitri, slamming into him, and sent him flying to the ground, that his scream that did sound like Crowler's slowly turned back to his own as he slammed into the ground hard.

"That's it!" Ms. Dorothy announced, "We have winner! Syrus Truesdale wins the prize!"
As the holograms began to vanish, Syrus rushed over to Ms. Dorothy and took a small piece of paper from her.
"What was the prize?" Draco asked.
"It was the last ticket to the small exhibit." Syrus replied.
"Exhibit? What exhibit?"
"You remember the room you help; Mr. Gorg clear out for me?" Ms. Dorothy asked, Draco nods, "It was use as a Battle City exhibit, to show the students what awaits them if they want to be a Pro-Duelist. As well as a copy of Yugi Muto's deck as the center piece."
"Oh, man." Draco sighed, "That will be so cool to see." He then gasped remember what Syrus just said, "Ah, shit! Syrus won the last ticket to enter the exhibit! I can't believe I slept through the sale of the tickets!"
"Draco." Syrus said, getting his attention, "This ticket is for you."
"What?! What about you Syrus?!"
"I already bought my ticket."
He, Chazz, Mana, Bastion, Alexis, Jasmine, and Mindy all held out a ticket, as Draco looked puzzled, "I figured the Blue Dorm would try to be here before anyone else." Alexis explained, "But none of them ever tried to stop me from getting ahead of them."
"After which the rest of us got to her." Jasmine said, "With an Academy of 700 students there was only 500 tickets."
"So, we bought ours, and tried to get one for you." Mindy added, "However it was only one ticket per student."
"And when the tickets got fewer and fewer." Chazz stated, "Those who didn't have tickets began to duel for one, but it got out of hand."
"So, Ms. Dorothy ruled it to the last ticket will be dueled for." Mana added, "Syrus and Dimitri and the other 198 students did a little tournament for it."
"Of course, people- mostly the Blue Dorm- said I already had a ticket and shouldn't be allowed to duel." Syrus stated, "However, the Ras and Slifers who couldn't sign in for the small tournament, started to say you weren't around, and it would be unfair for the number one student to miss out on this event."
"So, you were allowed to duel in my place?" Draco asked, before suddenly hugging his friend, "You are the best, Little Buddy!"
"After dat performance, it's no wonder he's tied for second in the Red Dorm."
Draco's eyes snapped open from his buddy hug, "That voice. What the?" he gasped, before looking at the one section of the hallway not packed with students and stood four adults, two which the students knew far too well.
"No way!" "Is that who I think it is?" "And the blonde hair man could that be?"
"Mr. Taylor, Mr. Wheeler. Mr. Muto. Dad?!" Draco called out the adults as he looked at each one.
"Dad?!" the students question, as they look at the slick black hair man wearing the black leather jacket that just said "Biker Dad"
"Come on man." Tristan told Draco, "We told you; you didn't have to call us by the family name."
"We know it's a force of habit." Joey said, "But we told you so many times you didn't have to."
"Hold on, how the hell does that Slifer trash know them personally?!" Krono suddenly glared at the Obelisk student that asked the question.
"You have something to say about my son?!" he growled, "The reason Draco knows Joey and Yugi personally is I'm a co-worker with them at Yugi's grandfather's Game Shop."
The Blue Boys started to look nervous, "Also, I heard from my wife that you all heard how she trained our son in Duel Monsters." He continued, "And how he won only ten duels in 685 duels with her. Who else do you think trained him? He has the same amount of wins with me but in less duels, since I'm busy at work. How many times did we duel Draco?"
"Umm," Draco muttered, "I think 387 duels."
"That's right." Krono replied, "Plus I have been keeping taps on how he has been doing here, I saw that most of the Blue Dorm- the so-called Elites- lost to him three times already."
"Whoa, you serious?" Tristan asked.
"Ah yeah! Showing these wannabe Kaibas who the real Duelist is!"
"Honestly, embarrassing the students is either their parents or my job." A voice spoke up, causing the students to clear a path and let a teacher through.
"Hey, Mai!" Joey said happily, before they embraced each other.
"I am happy to see you as well." Mai said, "I've been missing that adorable, dorky face. But I am also confused with what you all are doing here?"
"Mokuba asked us to be here." Joey replied, "He came by the Game Shop and asked Tristan and myself to be temporary security guards. He also wanted to talk to Krono to be one as well and needed to talk to Yugi."
"So, he also came by the house." Krono added, "We had the talk downstairs, since your mother just gave birth and was so tired, she fell asleep. Mokuba asked me to help as a guard as well and needed Yugi for a special event at the exhibit."
"Which is what?" Draco asked.
"Afraid you'll have to find out during the four days we'll be here." Yugi replied, chuckling.
"So, you're the temp guards?" a voice spoke up, everyone turned to see a woman wearing a doctor coat, and having long brunette hair stopping at her back, "I've been looking everywhere for you four."
"Umm, sorry but who are you?" Draco asked, "I don't mean to sound rude."
"Oh, I'm Nurse Assistant Meanae." The woman replied, "Nurse Fortaine was busy with a student and needed some extra help. I started a few days ago."
"So, you were looking for us?" Krono asked.
"Yes. I need to take a physical with you all, to make sure you don't have any illnesses." Meanae explained.
"Well, that does make sense." Tristan said, "We don't want to spread a cold or anything."
"Dat's a very good point." Joey added, "Guess we'll head with you."
"And then you need to report to the Security Guard you'll be working under." Meanae stated, "Can't have you walking around when you have a job."
"Well, guess I'll be having a talk with you tomorrow then." Krono told Draco, "Stay out of trouble."
"I'll try." Draco said, "But, I'm sure you already know how the Blue Dorm acts around the Red Dorm."
"Oh, I know." Krono replied, glaring over to the boys in the blue uniform, causing them to yelp in fear.
Every student went about their day, Draco noticed the date of the exhibit seeing it was for tomorrow and the next two days. Over in the Ra Boy Dorm, Dimitri hung his head over his desk as he held in in frustration.
"What the hell is going on?!" he groaned, "I've copied the most powerful Duelists; Kaiba, Joey, Crowler- It all ends the same! This sucks!" he then swung his arms on the desk, pushing all the Duel Monster cards off before kicking the chair over, as it slams into the wall, under a poster of the exhibit with Yugi standing next to a large image of a deck. Dimitri then began to chuckle slyly, "Or maybe it's because I haven't copied the best deck?"
That night, Cliff return with the three of the men along with Gorg and Crowler, "Alright, since Mr. Muto has to rest for the event, I asked my good friend Gorg to help out, and Dr. Crowler was ordered by the Chancellor to help out." Cliff stated.
"Honestly, I can't believe I'm reduced to grunt work." Crowler grumbled.
"I thought your name was familiar." Krono said, "You're the bastard that tried to expel my son after a month at the Academy."
Crowler looked at Krono nervous as he began to crack his knuckles, "Alright enough!" Cliff shouted, "We'll split into two teams. Joey, Tristan and Krono will take the left side of the hallway, there is secondary hallway down that way."
"When we get there, I'll take a look down it." Joey said, "And I guess Tristan and Krono will continue to the West Entrance?"
"Yes, and after that, look around the area and then head down the same hallway back here." Cliff told them.
"So, that means myself and Crowler will go with you to the Main Entrance?" Gorg asked.
"Yes indeed." Cliff replied, "Since the Main Entrance is huge, we will have to do a wide swipe of the area to be sure no students are hiding anywhere."
After the small prep talk, they went on their patrol. Tristan, Joey, and Krono walked down, heading to the West Entrance, Joey spotted the secondary hallway and came to a stop.
"Alright guys, I'm gonna check down here." He said, "I'll see you two back here when you get done at the West side."
"Got it, Joey." Krono said as he and Tristan continued to the West Entrance, once there, Tristan made sure the door was locked and they began to look around for a bit, shining their flashlights behind anything that any student could hide behind.
"Seems all clear." Krono called out from behind a desk, before walking around the desk.
"And the door is still locked." Tristan added, "Time we met up with—huh?"
"What is it, Tristan?"
Tristan had his gaze looking out to the walkway that lead to the Entrance, noticing two students sneaking outside and walking towards where the exhibit is.
"Hey, Krono? Isn't that your kid out there?" Tristan asked, pointing outside. Krono quickly came to the door and under the full moon spotted Draco and Syrus walking towards the exhibit. Tristan gasped and stumbled back as Krono suddenly burst with his Black Flame.
"Tristan?" he snarled, "Lock the door behind me!"
He went outside and began to follow behind the two boys. While they went to the window.
"Ok Syrus," Draco said, "while I'm still not ok with this idea, this would be the least trouble we can get into."
"But are you sure we'll be able to see the deck from here?" Syrus asked.
"I'm sure." Draco replied, "The moon is angled just right, the light will be right in the room, it'll not be as bright as with a flashlight, but you'll still see it."
Draco slowly lowered himself getting down on a knee, and letting Syrus stand in his outward leg to peek into the window.
"Draco Kaitos!" the sudden roaring voice, caused Draco to get startled and shift under Syrus, causing him to come crashing down on top of him. Both boys groaned out, before a flashlight shined on them and Draco looked scared seeing his father in the Academy's Security uniform as well as engulfed by his Black Flame.
"Uhh, hi Dad."
"Umm, h-hello Mr. K-Kaitos."
"You two, on your feet, now!" he growled. Draco and Syrus looked at each other nervously. Once they were in the building, Draco and Syrus sat on the chairs with Tristan standing behind them and Krono pacing in front of them, his Flame still bursting.
"I can't believe you, Draco Kaitos." Krono snarled, "Your mother and I raised you better than this!"
"Mr. Kaitos," Syrus spoke up, "it's my fault. I talked Draco into it. I just really wanted to see the replica of Yugi's deck."
"Syrus, don't try to cover for Draco." Krono slightly snapped.
"Dad, we weren't trying to break in, I was just lifting Syrus up to look through the window and see the deck from the moonlight." Draco said.
"And you think being out, pass curfew justifies this?!"
"It was the least punishable offense then being caught inside the building." Draco replied.
"Dude, Krono." Tristan spoke up, "You said it yourself many times back at the Shop. Draco doesn't lie. Why would he now?"
"Not helping, Tristan!" Krono snarled.
"I knew it was past our curfew, I even told Syrus that, but I couldn't let him go out alone." Draco said, "You were the one who told me to always tell the truth. Just like Mr. Taylor said, why would I lie?"
It was then another flashlight shines on them, "There you guys are!" Joey yelled out, "What are you two doing?! I've been waiting at the secondary hallway for five minutes!" he noticed Draco and Syrus sitting down, "Hold on, did they try to break in?"
"We weren't breaking in." Draco replied, "Just looking through the window by the exhibit."
"Well, just being out after curfew isn't that big of a deal." Joey remarked.
"Are you kidding me, Joey?!" Krono roared, "Schools, businesses and homes have rules for a reason!"
"You're telling me, that you never snuck out of your home when you were Draco's age?" Joey asked. Krono froze up as his Flame extinguished itself, "Hold on. You have snuck out at his age after your curfew, didn't you?" Joey asked again.
"Oh man!" Tristan spoke up with a chuckle, "And you were fussing about your son doing that? Come on man, every teen snuck out after their curfew, it's called being young."
"Yeah, it's not uncommon for a teen to do it at least once." Joey added, just after a loud scream was heard, startling all five of them.
"Please tell me dis school isn't haunted!" Joey said in a shiver.
"Not that I'm aware of." Draco said, "But it came from the hallway!"
"The hallway with the exhibit?" Tristan asked, before they all took off in that direction. They arrived to see Crowler on the floor in complete frozen shock as Cliff and Gorg just arrived at the same time.
"What the? You two shouldn't—" Cliff started.
"I already gave them an earful as a father." Krono replied.
"What's going on with the Doc?" Draco asked.
"Don't know." Gorg replied, "I was going to ask you that."
"We just got here, man." Joey said. Draco went in front of Crowler and began to call out to him and shaking him up, not getting any response, leaving Draco no choice but gave the teacher a very hard backhand across the face, getting everyone to wince in pain.
"OW! THAT HURT!" Crowler yelled out.
"It brought you back to reality, didn't it?!" Draco snapped back, "Now what the hell did you scream for?!"
Crowler's shock returned and slowly raised an arm pointing to the exhibit getting all of them to follow his hand and see the glass display case that housed the replica deck was gone.
"What the?! How did dat happen?!" Joey yelled, "While I was waiting for Tristan, and Krono I was leaning against the wall for them to spot me and I would have noticed if anyone else coming down that hall!"
"Anything on your end?" Tristan asked Gorg.
"No one." He replied, "Dr. Crowler said he was going to come back to the exhibit to be sure they didn't miss anyone."
"We-we were only in the Main Hall for only five minutes." Crowler whimpered.
"That wouldn't be enough time to escape." Joey said, "The thief would have ran into one of us if they tried the hallway."
Draco looked into the exhibit room before noticing a glimpse of a camera, "Officer Cliff?" Draco asked, "Are the Security camera's working?"
"Good idea!" he said, "Everyone, to the Security Office!" After a few minutes, everyone stood around the screens that were of the exhibit, Cliff began to rewind some of the camera feed, back to when the six of them left the exhibit, fast forwarding a bit, Cliff paused the screen seeing something at the window.
"Hold on, is that the thief?" he asked.
"No." Draco replied, "That was Syrus and myself, outside of the building." They all watched as the top of Syrus' head dropped from view, Draco noticed the center right of the screen something being pushed out of the wall.
"Wait, there!" Draco said pointing to wait he saw, Cliff looked at the section seeing a student crawl out of the wall, and with a thick blanket, wrapped around the glass case before smashing a brick into it as the audio of the camera barely picked the smashing of the glass.
"Ok, that is one smart kid." Tristan stated, "Using the blanket to muffle the glass shattering."
"So, if Crowler was on his way back to the exhibit he wouldn't have heard the glass." Joey added.
"I think that can narrow it down." Crowler spoke up, getting all eyes on him except for Draco as he continued to watch the video.
"I've seen him before."
"How does it narrow it down?" Krono asked.
"Well, A Slifer Slacker—" Crowler start, before Krono started to growl at him, "Minus the two present at the time! They would just smash the glass and leave the deck after the loud shattering, but this student used something to muffle it."
"So, we are looking for either a Ra or Obelisk?" Joey pondered.
"Hey, Officer Cliff?" Draco asked getting him to look back, "Is there a way to enhance the color or lighting of the camera?"
"Yeah, give me a second." He replied, seeing the number the camera was giving, Cliff started typing on one computer, the screen with the paused screen began to brighten up, giving everyone a better look at the color of his uniform.
"Ok, there we go." Cliff said as he finished on the computer, then looked at the camera feed, "Alright, the uniform is yellow."
"So, it's a Ra we want, and a boy, that really narrows it down." Tristan slightly cheered.
Draco looked harder and the image before gasping out, "Hey, it's the Mimic Duelist!"
"The 'what Duelist'?" Joey asked.
"Syrus dueled him for the last ticket for the exhibit, remember?"
"Oh, yeah." Tristan spoke up, "He used Magic Cylinder with that Monster's Special Ability, to beat that Ancient Gear Golem."
"WHAT?!" Crowler gasped out.
"What's up with you?" Joey asked.
"I think he's just upset that his deck lost to two Slifers is all." Draco stated, "So, what are we going to do?"
"I need to call the Chancellor and tell him what has happened." Cliff said, "Meanwhile, Crowler you get the Yellow Boy Dorm and talk to Sir Sartyr. Tristan, Joey, and Krono you three start looking for this boy."
"He's name is Dimitri." Syrus spoke up, "I just remembered his name."
"Ok, thanks for that." Cliff replied, "That would really narrow down who we are looking for now."
"You two return to your Dorm." Krono said as he turned to leave."
"Sorry Dad, but we are not going back." Draco said, "You need all the help you can get to find Dimitri. Plus, if he thinks he can get away from stealing the deck of the greatest Duelist in the world, he has another thing coming to him."
"Hold on you two." Cliff spoke up, "You are not off the hook for sneaking around—"
"Don't bother." Krono spoke up, "My son has the trait of both sides of the family, and it is very strong in him. Once he makes his mind up, you can't talk him out of it."
"And besides," Joey said, "we need all the help we can get."
"If I happen to find," Draco said, "it could be a good chance to see how my deck is against the King of Games deck. Even if's in the hands of a copycat, he is known to copy everything, how they act while dueling, their speech pattern, and even their decks."
"He better hope Yugi doesn't find him then." Tristan said, "Cause then it'll be a real beat down."
"If I may?" Gorg spoke up, "This may be out of line, but what if the Chancellor gets the entire Academy to help find the boy?"
"The more eyes the better." Draco stated, "And because it's a replica of Yugi's deck, no one would care about Dorm colors."
"Hey, how come you called Yugi by his first name, but not us?" Joey asked.
"Not now, Joey!" Krono and Tristan yelled.
"I'll see if the Chancellor will allow that Gorg. "Cliff replied to his friend, "But for now, go out and find him!"
Crowler began to quickly make his way the Yellow Boy Dorm as Cliff and Gorg went the Chancellor's private quarters, leaving Krono, Joey and Tristan with Draco and Syrus.
"Alright now how are we going to look for this Dimitri kid?" Tristan asked.
"Drake, Rahzun, Vonzun, Rovit!" Draco yelled out.
"Who is he calling for?" Joey asked.
"Just wait for it." Krono said, sending a small burst of his Flames, which caused the Scouting Group of the Dragon Guards to be seen by them.
"You called us—What the?! Lord Krono?!" Rahzun gasped out, getting the others to look up at him.
"I'm not the one who called you." Krono told them, before looking at Draco.
"Listen, we are looking for a Ra student by the name of Dimitri." Draco told them, "He stole a replica of Yugi's deck for an exhibit the Academy is holding, we need to find it."
"What the hell?!" Drake asked, "Should we get everyone else?"
"A security guard is going to ask if the whole Academy can look for him.' Draco replied, "But you guess can't be seen which makes it easier."
"We'll look for this Ra student." Vonzun said, "He'll most likely have his Duel Disk and would be in a location where he can't be easily found."
"Get going!" Draco yelled at them, to which the four of them scattered leaving Joey and Tristan speechless.
"Wh-what the hell was dat, man?!" Joey yelled.
"Come on Joey." Krono said, "You learn about myself and the wife and are still shocked by actually Duel Spirits that serve us?"
"It's still a shocker to us." Tristan stated, "Every time we see real Duel Spirit, some world ending catastrophe is happening."
"Ok, I can give you that." Krono replied, "But We have a job to do, spread out and find him!"
"I think the boys should stay together.' Tristan said before taking off in a random direction.
Krono and Joey followed suit and went off in different directions as Draco and Syrus began heading into the forest, to start their search. Draco then smiled at Syrus to which he noticed.
"What?" Syrus asked.
"You already text everyone else, didn't you?" Draco asked.
"Yeah, I did." Syrus replied, "They are going to meet us up ahead."
As Draco and Syrus arrived at a clearing, so did Chazz, Mana, Bastion, Alexis, Jasmine, and Mindy.
"Tell me the text Syrus sent out was a prank?!" Chazz asked, "There is no way someone stole the deck!"
"Afraid it's true." Draco told him, "It seems, Dimitri wasn't happy with his lost against Syrus."
"But why would he steal a replica of Yugi's deck?" Mana asked.
"Quite simple really." Bastion replied, "Since Dimitri is known to copy duelists, why not copy the best?"
"But he won't be his own Duelist if he copies everyone." Alexis stated.
"It's not only that." Draco said, "You know how Yugi always speaks about 'The Heart of the Cards'?"
"Who doesn't?" they all ask.
"Dimitri will be mocking that belief." Draco replied, "Since he's just copying Yugi as he duels, his heart isn't in that deck."
The whole group looked in shock before Chazz suddenly growled in anger, "Oh, hell no!" he yelled, "I have my own belief when it comes to dueling, but you do not copy or mock that belief!"
"Yugi's way of dueling is what got me into Duel Monsters." Mana said, "My uncle told me it was that belief that let Yugi to defeat him."
"I think it was the same way for me." Alexis added, "I looked at every Arch-type there was, and none of them felt right for me. That was until I came across the Cyber Dancers."
"And it just clicked with you, didn't it?" Draco asked.
"Yeah, it did." She replied, "I guess that was my experience with the Heart of the Cards."
"Alright, we need to think." Draco said, "Where would Dimitri go after stealing something?"
"How about a dark low area by the sea where no lights from the buildings can't reach him?"
Everyone turned to look at Bastion to see Tania standing behind him, "I mean, that's what the Amazoness Thief would have done to avoid being spotted."
"The only spot that can do that, that we know of, is our hang out." Draco replied, before Rovit and Drake returned.
"Young Lord!" Rovit spoke up, "We found him."
"Northeast of this location, only the Moonlight will get him spotted." Drake added.
"Ok, I'm going to go ahead." Draco said, "Follow behind me as if you just found out the location."
"And what?" Alexis asked with a sly smile, "Text where we found him, or broadcast the duel, we know is going to happen?"
"Do both." Draco replied and took off running.
"So, we wait for about three minutes?" Chazz asked.
"That seems about right." Jasmine said.
After a few minutes, Draco slowed down, faintly seeing a pathway to a large cliffside and sees someone standing in the open as he slowly makes his way towards him.
"At last." Dimitri muttered, "I have the strongest deck in the world. Now, I will never lose again!"
"HEY!" Draco yelled out, Dimitri turned his head, giving a very serious glare, "Return the deck you stole, Dimitri! Are you trying to get Expelled?!"
"Stole?" Dimitri asked, almost identical to Yugi, or rather Atem, would sound, "I haven't stolen anything. This deck rightfully belongs to me."
Draco gave a very visible shock and/or cringing facial expression, "Is-is he—Is he really doing this?! Right now?!"
"I might be going crazy I the head." Drake said, "But was he trying to sound like that shorty?"
"You mean the King of Games?" Rovit asked the Recruit, getting a nod, "Yeah, he is."
"You have some nerve to accuse me of stealing." Dimitri said, still acting like Atem, "Any Duelist who would—"
"Ok, I'm not going to listen to another word of this nonsense." Draco said, annoyed as he activates his Duel Disk.
"You think you can stand a chance against the King of Games?" Dimitri asked, activating his own Duel Disk, "You are indeed brave I'll give you that. So, I shall show you the might of the Heart of the Cards!"
"Ok, THAT'S crossing the line!" Draco thought.
"DUEL!"
Draco LP: 4000

Right as the Duel began, Alexis and the other snuck up, staying hidden, Alexis' PDA began to buzz as she carefully pulled it out and answered it.
"Hello?" she asked.
"Why are you whispering?" Krono asked on the other end.
"Well, we found Dimitri." Alexis responds, "But—"
"But?"
"Draco found him first." She replied, "And they are dueling."
"He's doing what?!"
"Give me a second." Alexis replied, ending the call and then proceed to start a live recording and sent the feed to everyone in the Academy.
"Since you dare accuse me of stealing my own deck, I'll be making the first move." Dimitri said.
"By the Gods, stop acting like you are Yugi!"
"I lay two cards face down, followed by one monster face down." Dimitri said as the three cards appear on his side of the field, "That will be the end of my turn."
Draco took a deep breath before exhaling slowly, closing his eyes, Ok, I need to stay calm and keep my head clear." He thought.
"What is he doing?" Syrus whispered.
"I think he is trying to stay calm or something." Mana replied.
"Well, he is going against Yugi's deck." Bastion stated.
"Ok, knowing Yugi's deck, those face downs have to be Trap cards and they are either Mirror Force, Magic Cylinder, or Spell Binding Circle." Draco drew his card, "Alright, I Special Summon Yolosyem, the Fire Dragon Guard in attack mode!" Draco announced, summoning a familiar red scale dragon, kneeling down.

"Next, I activate the Continuous Spell, Dragon Guard Skill: Magical Barrier! This card will half any damage I take from your Abilities! And to end my turn I'll place two more cards face down."
Two cards appeared on Draco's field as the bright blue alchemic rune circle appeared on his side and shielded his Monster. The friend group continued to watch the duel, Until Alexis felt a tap on her shoulder. Looking to her left, Alexis gives out a soft gasp, seeing the Chancellor next to her had startling the others.
"Thanks to your live video and Krono telling me about this, I was able to find you." He said, "So, how long have they been dueling?"
Alexis looked around and noticed that everyone in the Academy showed up, and those that could see kept their eyes on their PDAs.
"They just started. 'She replied, "Draco just ended his turn, and Dimitri is about to start his second turn."
"And he is being stupid." Chazz said, "Dimitri is pretty much saying the deck belongs to him and is acting like Yugi."
"Oh, Gods." Krono groaned, "Is he sounding exactly like Yugi?"
Dimitri drew his next card, and smirk, "I activate Pot of Greed!" Dimitri announced, drawing two more cards, "My cards never fail me, I now activate Polymerization!"
Draco bares his teeth as he lets out a subtle hiss in anger, before seeing one creature appear on the field and the face down monster flips up, "I fuse together my Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts and Berfomet!"
The first creature, that was on the field, looks like some sort of horned Were-Beast of sorts, while the other is another Were-Beast looking creature, horned, and wings, while having four arms, before they both were engulfed by the fusing vortex.
"I call upon, Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast!" Dimitri announced as the new creature descend from the sky, having the heads of both of the creatures, standing on all fours, spreading it's wings as the two heads roared out while the tail moved around revealing a snake.

"Now Chimera, Attack his Monster!"
"Why would he do that?" Syrus asked.
"Because Chimera has a Special Ability." Joey replied, "When it gets destroyed de control can summon either Gazelle or Berfomet from de Graveyard."
"And with both of them having the same attack points," Bastion added, "Draco will be open for a direct attack."
The two headed creature roared out as it began to charge and the still kneeling Guard, "I activate my face down Continuous Trap!" Draco yelled, "Dragon Guard Skill: Physical Barrier!" A second alchemic circle appeared and expend around Draco's Field before it and the other Barrier lite up brighter.
"What's going on?!" Dimitri asked, "That Trap isn't stopping my Chimera from attack!"
"The combination of the two Barriers is this;" Draco started, "The Magical Barrier halves your Ability Damage, and now thanks for having Physical Barrier out, now my Dragon Guards can't be destroyed by Abilities! And Physical Barrier halves the Battle Damage I would take, now with Magical Barrier, my Dragon Guards won't be destroyed in Battle!"
"WHAT?!" Dimitri gasped, as Yolosyem stood up and held his sword up and sliced between the two heads, cutting the flying beast in half, it then shattered behind the Dragon Guard, "I activate my Chimera's Special Ability! I can call forth one of the monsters that were used to create it." It was then Berfomet returned to the field, crossing all four of its arms to defend itself.

"I have nothing else for my turn." Dimitri said, "Now, what will you do?"
Draco drew his next card, and in turn Yolosyem took more of an offensive stance wielding his sword. Draco looked through his hand, spotting Kendov and looked at the card he drew.
"Well, this will work." He said, "I activate Ancient Rules! I can Special Summon a Level 5 or higher Normal Monster from my hand!"
"And just what do you plan on bringing out?" Dimitri asked.
"The Dragon Guard that rivals the Dark Magician in offensive powers, I Special Summon, Kendov the Dragon Guard Fighter!"
Appear next to the Fire Guard, Kendov emerged from a swirl of light particles before landing on his feet and taking a Martial Arts stance.

"Yolosyem! Destroy Berfomet!" Draco ordered, "Dragonfire Slash!" Yolosyem charged forward, at the four-armed creature, raising his sword above his head, and swung it down.
"Your own attack will be your downfall!" Dimitri said, "I activate, Mirror Force!"
A favorite of Yugi for defensive use revealed, before a magical reflective shield appeared in front of his monster.
"And here I thought you WERE Yugi!" Draco mocked.
"I am the King of Games!" Dimitri declared, still using Yugi's voice.
"Then you should know the REAL King of Games would remember my Barrier Cards!" Draco yelled back, "Since I have both of them out, Magical Barrier prevents my Dragon Guards from being Destroyed by Mirror Force!"
Yolosyem, slammed his sword into the Mirror Force, trying to break through as it tried to reflect the attack, it wasn't long before the Mirror Force began to crack, causing Dimitri to gasp out to gasp out as Yolosyem's sword crashed through the Mirror and sliced Berfomet in half, before it was engulfed in fire and roared out, before it evaporated in the flames.
"Kendov, attack Dimitri directly!" Draco ordered the purple Dragon, "Dragon Fist!"
The Fighter dashed forwards, rearing his right fist as it burst with his aura, before he suddenly stopped as a strange pentagram appeared around him and held him in place.

"Well, there is nothing else I can do." Draco said.
Dimitri began his next turn as he then smirks, "I summon Kuriboh, in Defense Mode!"
I small monster, which looked like a large furball, with small green hands and feet having thick yellow claws at the end of its fingers and toes, and two round yellow eyes with large pupils, letting out a small chirp.

"I also lay one card facedown, ending my turn."
"Aw, damn it!" Chazz silently hissed, "He could have gotten a huge lead if that attack landed."
"But thankfully, Draco had both Barriers out." Bastion stated, "Otherwise this duel would have gone downhill real fast."
Draco drew his next card, "Ok, time to see what I get. "I activate Card of Sanctity!" He announced, "Now we draw until we have six cards!" Draco drew five new cards as Dimitri drew a brand-new hand, "It seems it paid off. I sacrifice Kendov!"
The pentagram around Kendov shattered as Kendov evaporated into light particles, "I Tribute Summon, Sahlos the Dragon Guard Seductress!" A familiar red scaled Dragoness appeared, standing slightly seductively as she lets out an unimpressive huff.

"I now activate Monster Reborn!" Draco yelled out, as Kendov returned to the field, "Now, let's try this again. Yolosyem! Attack Kuriboh!"
The Fire Guard once again charged forward towards the little furball, before it suddenly split into three, then five more Kuriboh, which caused Yolosyem to skid to a stop.
"I knew you would do that." Dimitri mocked, "That's why I activate Multiply!"
Oh, crap." Draco thought, "I know that card can cause one Monster with 1000 or less Attack Points to fill the empty Field, but there was a bonus if used with Kuriboh. What was it?"
"Yolosyem, continue the attack!"
The Fire Guard swung his sword down, catching the first Kuriboh on fire before it vanished, "Kendov, attack another one! Sahlos, follow suit!"
The Fighter and Seductress charged out with Kendov slamming his fist into the far left Kuriboh as Sahlos kicked the far right, leaving just two Kuriboh on Dimitri's field.
"Alright, that's all I can do.' Draco said, before his eyes widen and noticed the three Kuriboh he just destroyed returning to the field, "What the?!"
"That is the power of Kuriboh with Multiply." Dimitri announced triumphantly, "I'll keep getting Kuriboh until you manage to destroy all of them in one turn."
"That's the bonus, shit!"
Dimitri drew his next card and just smirked, "I tribute one of the Kuriboh, to summon Dark Magician Girl!" he said, as the middle Kuriboh vanished and was replaced by the very popular Apprentice to the Dark Magician.

Dark Magician Girl raised her staff as a large sphere of her magic began to gather at the top, before swinging it down and sending the sphere towards Kendov, while he braced himself and the Barriers lit up as the magical sphere slams into Kendov before exploding.
"So much for your 'rival' to my Dark Magician." Dimitri chuckled.

Hold on, you should have lost 200 Life Points." He said, before the smoke cleared and Kendov was still standing, "How is that card still on the Field?!"
"You seem to have forgot about my Barriers." Draco told him, "My Monsters can't be destroyed by battle or by Abilities and I only receive half the damage!"
"I end my turn." Dimitri said. Draco drew his next card, looking at it and looked at the rest of his hand.
"Sire, if I may speak?" Yolosyem asked.
"Keep it quick." Draco replied, "And keep it quiet, we can't let Dimitri know you guys can speak while in Duels."
"I really think we need to get rid of the Kuriboh." Yolosyem replied, "In case he draws Dark Magician on his next turn, we can't let him have the number of tributes for him."
"But with the three of us that leaves only one and they will return." Sahlos stated.
"There is two ways." Kendov added, "Either you have Flaming Claw Strike in your hand or a Dragon Guard you can summon."
Draco did a scan of his hand and gave a puzzled look as he spotted a card he never had before, "What the hell?!"
"Umm, why did Draco say that?" Syrus asked, still be quiet, "Also how is it Dimitri hasn't spotted us yet?"
"Cloaked us." Krono said, "The Black Flame was more towards stealth before I adapted it for combat."
"But how did no one else—" Alexis started.
"You think the Guards only told you where he was?" Krono asked, "I was informed as well, I flew overhead and cast my Black Flame Cloak before you even arrived."
"How long will it last?" Joey asked.
"Until the duel ends." He replied, "Now back to Syrus' question, it's possible a card appeared in Draco's deck."
"Ok, this is the only option I have." Draco muttered, "I summon Sogaal, Trainee of the Dragon Guard, in Attack Mode!"
As Draco slammed the card next to Sahlos the three Guards look back in shock, confusion and rage.
"What—" Yolosyem asked, "The—" Kendov gasped, "HELL?!" Sahlos snarled.
The light particles shine before vanishing as a small magenta dragon lets out a "vicious" roar, looking happy to on the field before her happy expression turned to fear as Sahlos glared down at her, with her eyes glowing bright pink.

"Laan wah hiif Mun Dovah." Sogaal replied. ("Wanted to help Human Dragon.")
"Still feel insulted by that, comment." Draco muttered, "Look Sahlos, I agree with you that Sogaal shouldn't be in my deck, yet."
"She shouldn't be in the deck at all?!" Sahlos snarled back.
"However, she can destroy a Kuriboh, and it seems she has a Special Ability." Draco stated, "Now if you can calm down, so I can continue the turn before we run out of time?!"
Sahlos still didn't seem pleased by this as she returned to her battle stance, "Alright, now to get this over with." Draco muttered, "Sogaal, attack a Kuriboh!"
Sogaal lets out a small chirp before running forward and takes a deep inhale, but instead of fire breath out a condense stream of steam, hitting the Kuriboh and caused it to slightly stumble before it shattered.
"Sahlos! Attack another Kuriboh!"
The Seductress rushed over to the other side of the field, kicking the second Kuriboh as it lets out a loud squeal as it flew skyward and out of sight, before a small twinkle was seen in the sky. (Try to go with the whole Team Rocket Clichè)
"Sahlos really doesn't want her daughter out on the field." Draco thought, "Yolosyem! The third Kuriboh!"
Yolosyem sliced the third Kuriboh, again being engulfed in flames before vanishing, "Kendov! The final Kuriboh!" Draco ordered, The Fighter slammed his fist into the last Kuriboh, before dashing back to his original position.
"And since there are no more Kuriboh, you can't Multiply them again!" Draco called out, "My turn ends."
Dimitri drew his next card and just chuckled, "the Heart of the Cards, has come through for me."
Draco growled as he grinds his teeth, his eyes flashing slightly as they became slits again, "That's enough!" he roared, "You are not Yugi Muto! Stop acting as if you are! 'Heart of the Cards has come through for you'? Your heart doesn't belong in those cards! So, SHUT UP!"
Dimitri looked pissed before he returns to smirking, "Then explain this; Swords of Revealing Light!"
After the card was activated, twenty-one brightly lit swords suddenly fell from the sky and surround the four Dragon Guards, and they seem to be frozen in place.
"What the hell is happening?!" Sahlos hissed, "I can't move!"
"This is one of Yugi's best and strongest Spell Cards." Draco stated, "I won't be able to attack for three turns."
"Well, this sucks." Yolosyem spoke up, "Can we still defend?"
"Yes, but if I know him, Dimitri is going to try and deal a lot of damage to me by attacking Sogaal." Draco replied.
Dark Magician Girl attack the small one!" Dimitri ordered, still acting as Yugi, "Dark Burning Attack!"
Once more the Dark Magician Girl attacks with her magic sending a second sphere of magic to the young dragoness, before it explodes, and Dimitri chuckled with superiority.

"What?!" he gasped, "You should have lost a lot more Life Points even with your Barrier out!"
"Why don't see who you ACTUALLY attacked?" Draco mocked, as the smoke started to clear, and caused Dimitri to gasp as he sees a pair of glowing pink eyes, as the smoke fully cleared showing Sahlos standing in front of Sogaal.
"I attacked the small one!" Dimitri stated, "Why is that one in the way?!"
"I'll answer your question with a question." Draco stated, "What kind of Mother would let her child get hurt?"
"That doesn't make any sense!" Dimitri yelled.
"Alright, it's one of Sogaal's Special Abilities." Draco replied, "If I have Sahlos the Dragon Guard Seductress out, I can redirect the attack to her, since Sahlos is Sogaal's mother."
"Wait, if that's Sogaal's Ability with Sahlos out." Alexis stated, "Then what is her Ability when Kinbok is out?"
"Hold on." Krono spoke up, "That little Dragon that Draco summoned, is the daughter of the Captain and Seductress?"
"You didn't know?" Alexis asked.
"I'm going to have a word with them."
"If you are done?" Draco asked, "I would like to start my turn."
Dimitri growled softly, "My turn ends."
Drawing his next card, Draco gave a smirk as he looked over to Dimitri, "I Special Summon Kinbok Captain of the Dragon Guard!"
The final slot on Draco's Field was filled as the fifth Guard appeared, arms crossed over his chest and a large sword on his back, before glaring across the field.

"Before you start giving me complaints about the Attack Boost." Draco spoke up, "That is Kinobk's Special Ability. The other Guards gain 500 Attack Points."
"Kinbok!" Sahlos slightly hissed, however she was met with a raised hand from the commanding officer.
"I am aware that our daughter is out here and not continuing her studying." He replied, "But let me ask you this Sahlos; If she was studying, we could have been facing the Dark Magician, last turn."
Sahlos looked shocked, before he continued, "I am disappointed that she isn't studying when she should, but she did help out."
"I'll end my turn, due to the Swords of Revealing Light." Draco said, before seven swords dimmed and vanish from the field. Dimitri drew his next card, "I had enough of your disrespect to my card and my belief." He said, "For the Heart of the Cards guided me to victory! I activate Graceful Charity! I draw three cards and discard two."
Dimitri drew the three cards and discarded two from his hand, "I now activate Sage's Stone!" Dimitri announced, "I now Special Summon Dark Magician from my hand!"
The Dark robe/armored spellcaster appeared on the field standing next to his Apprentice, and looked across the field, taking hold of his long dark green staff.

"Now I activate Thousand Knives!" Dimitri slid the next Spell card from his hand as the name states, a thousand knives appeared behind the Dark Magician, "I will now destroy your Captain!"
Dark Magician aimed his staff at Kinbok as all one thousand knives flew through the air towards Kinbok, causing Draco to sigh.
"You really don't learn." He said as the Barriers activate once more and all the knives slammed and shatter against them, "Magical Barrier protects them from destruction if I have Physical Barrier. You just wasted a card."
"Well, I now use the Quick-play Spell Dedication Through Light and Darkness!" The final Spell Dimitri activated appeared on the field and seem to have a Magician of Black Chaos on it, "I tribute Dark Magician to summon Dark Magician of Chaos!"
"A ritual less version of the Magician of Black Chaos?" Draco thought, "This could be trouble."
As Draco thought, the new Monster looks like Magician of Black Chaos, same style, outfit and staff.

"Now my Dark Magicians Attack his Captain!" Dimitri ordered, "Dark Chaos Burst and Dark Burning Attack!" Both of the Spellcasters raised their scepter and staff and then launched their magical attacks. Kinbok braced himself with each attack that slammed and exploded on him.
Draco LP: 3700-3500-3200
"Those damn Barrier cards!" Dimitri thought, "This duel would have been over already if he didn't have those out!" "I end my turn."
Draco drew his next card, "Alright, I place one card face down." He said, "Ending my turn."
A second card appeared in his backrow as seven more swords vanished, Dimitri drew his card and didn't bother to look at it, "Attack the Captain once more!" he ordered, the Dark Magician of Chaos raised his scepter charging his attack and launching it.
"I activate Draining Shield!" Draco announced as his face down he had at the start of the Duel flipped up and absorbed the magical attack.
Draco LP:3200-6000
"Dark Magician Girl attack him!" Dimitri ordered, sounding slightly pissed off, as Kinbok took the attack again.
Draco LP:6000-5700
"Wait, did Draco have that card this whole time?" Syrus asked, "Why did he wait until now to use it?"
"Maybe he wanted Dimitri to think he had the advantage." Bastion stated, "After all did, you notice how cocky Dimitri was getting?"
Syrus nods his head, "He forgot all about Draco's back row and thought he can win. Just by striking the same card over and over again."
"My turn is over." Dimitri growled. Draco drew his next card, gave it a smile as he placed it in his hand, "I'll switch Sogaal and Sahlos to Defense Mode and end my turn." The final Swords vanished, Kinbok Kendov, and Yolosyem cracked their necks, rolled their shoulders and straighten their stances. Dimitri drew his card and decided to look at it and the card he drew last turn and began to chuckle.
"I'll just attack that Captain again." Dimitri stated, as both Spellcasters blast at Kinbok once more.
Draco LP:5700-5500-5200
"Now go ahead and make your final turn."
Draco ignore the comment, and drew his card, "Alright, I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Reckless Charge!" The Spell Draco activated, seems to have what seems like a wild boar just charging at something, "I'll give Kinbok the 700 Boost this turn!"
Kinbok ATK/2400-3100
"Kinbok! Destroy Dark Magician of Chaos!" he ordered, "Shattering Claymore Slash!"
Kinbok suddenly dashed out at high speed, taking his claymore into both hands and swinging with all his might, slicing through the more powerful male Spellcaster and slamming his sword into the ground, before it shattered to pieces, causing Dimitri to groan out.
Dimitri LP:4000-3700
"Kendov! Dragon Fist!" Draco ordered, the Fighter dashed out, flapping his wings to gain speed, before slamming his fist into the Dark Magician Girl's chin and sent her flying with an Uppercut, before shattering in the air.
Dimitri LP:3700-4700 (Magic Formula going to the Grave)
"Yolosyem! Dragonfire Slash!" Yolosyem charged forward ad Dimitri as his blade caught flame once more before slicing through him, getting him to yell in pain.
Dimitri LP:4700-2100
"I could have ended the Duel if I was in Attack Mode." Sahlos snarled.
"Yeah, I miscalculated." Draco replied, "My turn is over!"
Dimitri drew his card and took two from his hand, "I activate the Spell Cards, De-Spell and Remove Trap!"
"Aw, shit." Draco groaned as the two Barrier cards shattered and vanished from the field, "I now Banish one LIGHT and DARK Monster from my Graveyard." Dimitri said as Kuriboh and another monster, being a small pink furball.
"When did he—Graceful Charity!" Draco thought, "He must have discarded it to do this summoning."
"Hold on, what kind of summoning needs to banish two monsters of polar opposite Attributes?" Chazz asked, "There is no such summoning!"
Bastion suddenly gasped and looked terrified, "No, there are two methods using this summoning!" he gasped, getting the group and those around to look at him, "The first was done by Seto Kaiba. During his Kaibaland Grand Opening, he summoned the card Chaos Emperor Dragon- Envoy of the End. A card that would end the duel the moment it's summon."
"And the other?" Mana asked.
"Well, it was said to have never been found, but if Kaiba had the Envoy of the End, that would mean—"
"I call forth, Black Luster Soldier- Envoy of the Beginning!" Dimitri yelled getting everyone's attention as Kuriboh and the other monster went into a strange energy gateway, before a mix of light and dark energy beams shot from the gateway and warrior emerged wearing a dark blue armor with yellow trim, a matching shield in his left hand and a long scimitar like sword in his right, he looked over the field before standing up and pointing his blade at the Dragon Guard.

"On second thought," Sahlos spoke up, "Keeping me in Defense Mode, was a good call."
"I seconded that statement." Draco muttered.
"I told you the Heart of the Cards will give me Victory," Dimitri said, triumphantly, "and now you will pay for mocking my belief! Black Luster Soldier, destroy that, Captain!" The Soldier charged forward and sliced through Kinbok, before he shattered as Draco shield himself form the shockwave.
Draco LP:5200-4600
"And now My Envoy of the Beginning can attack again!" Dimitri called out, "Attack the Fire Guard!"
As the Soldier charged again raising his sword at Yolosyem, as he came to a realization, "Oh, son of a—" he was cut off as the Soldier sliced through him, sending another shockwave.
Draco LP:4600-3700
"Again! Attack the Fighter!" Dimitri ordered.
"I see what Yolosyem was talking about, "Kendov spoke up, "That Soldier can attack each time it destroys a monster."
Black Luster Soldier sliced through Kendov shattering him and sending another damaging shockwave to Draco.
Draco LP:3700-3200
"Now the Seductress!" Dimitri ordered, with a smile as he clearly is enjoying the slaughter. The Soldier charged again, slicing into Sahlos destroying her as Sogaal looked in fear as she watched her parents getting destroyed in the Duel, "I now destroy the little one!"
Sogaal gasped softly as the Soldier charged at her as her eyes began to tear up, "I activate, NEGATE ATTACK!" Draco roared out, causing a vortex to appear in front of the small Dragoness as the Soldier went into the vortex and was placed back in front of Dimitri.
"WHAT?!" he gasped in disbelief, "You had that, this whole time?!"
"Yup," Draco said, "I wanted you to think you were in control this whole duel."
"You just delaying the fate the Heart of Cards delt you." Dimitri smirked, "Go, and accept your fate."
Draco looks at the top card of his deck before taking a deep breath, confusing everyone watching and even Dimitri as he raised a brow. Draco placed his hand on the card, "Heart of the Cards," Draco spoke up, causing Dimitri's eye to twitch, while up at the audience Yugi slightly gasped out before smiling, "let this be the card to end the Duel in my victory."
"How dare you?!' Dimitri yelled out, "You mock my belief?!"
Draco drew his card and gave it a look and smiled, "It's time to show you the REAL Heart of the Cards!" He roared, "I banish, Kinbok, Kendov and Sahlos!" the three Dragon Guards he named, appeared as transparent spirits before shooting into the air becoming small rune circles.
"I summon, Zooruvhun the Legendary Dragon Guard Hero!" a large rune circle appeared between the three smaller ones, a beam of light shot from the smaller ones and into the center of the larger one, and a beam shot form the larger one and to the ground, causing a large fully armored Dragon appeared and then began to stand up and look over at the rival warrior.

"What the fuck?!" Dimitri thought, "How the hell did he draw that card on the spot?!"
"I now activate the Equip Spell Katana of the Water Dragon!" Draco yelled out, "And I'll give it, to your Black Luster Soldier!"
"Why would Draco do that?!" Syrus yelled in confusion, before covering his mouth.
"Well," Krono spoke up, "you haven't seen what happens if Zooruvhun gets destroyed."
Everyone looked at him confused and then look back at the duel, "Why would you do that?" Dimitri asked, "You could have—"
"I could have powered my Dragon Guard up, destroyed your Soldier, and have you use Monster Reborn, to use the Soldier's first Ability to banish my Monster?" Draco theorized, getting Dimitri to freeze up.
"Zooruvhun, attack!" the large, armored Dragon took flight charging at the Soldier, slamming his fist into the shield as the Soldier sliced down and due to them being even in power the shockwave shattered both of them.
"You think that was smart?" Dimitri asked, "If you think I have Monster Reborn, the result will still be the same."
"Oh?" Draco asked, as the three small rune circle reappeared in the sky, "You sure about that?"
"Wh-what's going on?!" Dimitri asked.
"When Zooruvhun gets destroyed, I can recall three of my Banished Dragon Guards, by paying half of my Life Points!" Draco explained.
Draco LP3200-1600
After Draco's Life Points were cut in half, three beams shot from the circles hitting the ground as Kinbok, Kendov, and Sahlos return to the Field and looked at Dimitri, "The last card I play is this Quick-Play; Quick-Attack!" Draco announced, "Normally Sahlos can't attack if she is Special Summon, but this card lets me bypass that rule!"
"This can't be?!" Dimitri thought.
"Now Attack!" Draco ordered, "Shattering Claymore Slash! Dragon Fist! Seductress Kick!"
The three Guards charged out, Kendov striking first: slamming his fist into Dimitri's stomach. Sahlos followed suit, backflip kicking Dimitri's chin and sending him flying off his feet. Kinbok finished the assault by slicing into him and slamming him back to the ground. Dimitri's screaming going from Yugi's voice back to his normal voice as he hit the ground hard enough to bounce slightly.
Dimitri LP:2100-0
Once the Life Points hit zero, Draco walked over to Dimitri, picked up the cards from the ground, empty the Grave and removed the deck from his Duel Disk.
"How?!" Dimitri groan as he pushed himself to sit up, "I had the world's best deck! I even Dueled as he would! I believed in the Heart of the Cards! How the hell did I still lose!?"
Draco bared his teeth as he growls softly, "Your heart wasn't in this deck!" he growled back, "You think by copying the deck of great Duelist, and believing in their believes, you can win just as much as they can?!" Dimitri slightly backed up in fear, "You just copy their decks, your heart is not in the deck! The only way the Heart of the Cards would work is if you built your own deck and poured your heart into it!"
"Shut up!" Dimitri yelled, "I heard your deck was giving to you by your parents! You didn't—"
The Dragon Guards serve me!" Draco roared, "They serve me as my sword, my shield, and my teachers! They hope I make the right decision in duels, and I believe in them to come through! My heart is in my deck!"
Before Draco could continue a loud applause was heard, getting both boys to look up at the cliffside that overlooked them, "What the? When did the whole Academy get here?" Draco asked.
"They all saw me lose using Yugi's Deck." Dimitri muttered.
"Did you see how Dimitri used Yugi's Deck?" "I know, I would have never been able to use it like he did." "I doubt I would be able to be brave enough to duel a copy of Yugi's Deck." "Dimitri really got into the role. He not only acted like Yugi Muto, but even dueled like him!"
Dimitri was confused by the complements, before the Chancellor came up to them, Draco handed the deck to him as he smiles at the two students, "That was an impassive duel form the both of you." Sheppard said, "However, I am disappointed that you stole the deck. There should be punishment for that."
Dimitri flinched, "I would agree." A voice spoke up getting both Draco and Dimitri to freeze up, it was Yugi Muto.
"And Draco is right." He said, "If you just copy other Duelist decks, you are not going to win with the Heart of the Cards. You need your own deck that you built, or you cherish." He said the last statement looking at Draco, "And I think you did a good job at what was going to happen at the last day."
"Umm, what would that have been?" Draco asked.
"Well, there was to be a raffle with the tickets, there is a number on them." Yugi explained. Draco looked at the ticket seeing the number 500 and spot for a name, "You write your name next to the number, the tickets get placed in a barrel that gets turn serval times, and then I take one out."
"And that person gets a chance to duel you?!" Draco asked, getting a nod.
"And I had something for the person I dueled but seeing you two duel I think you should have them." Yugi said as he reached into his coat pocket.
"Eh?" Draco asked confused, as Yugi pulled two cards from his jacket and handed them to Draco. Draco gasped as he looked at the cards, a copy of Swords of Revealing Light, and Mirror Force, and by the characters for "Magic" and "Trap" at the bottom of the card was a signature of Yugi's name.
"Autograph cards?!" Draco yelled in disbelief, "An-and they are your best Spell and Trap?!"
The other students began to talk in disbelief as well, some of the Obelisks were pissed off at the fact Draco got some rare cards.
"I think he should have the right to them!" a voice spoke up, Draco looked around and spotted an Obelisk girl with long blue hair, "I mean come on, sure the deck was stolen, but he dueled and won against it! Are you saying any of you could have the strength to duel Yugi Muto?"
The Obelisks that were pissed grew silent, ashamed to admit they couldn't, "Yeah, Kylie is right!" an Obelisk boy spoke up, "I won't be able to Duel Yugi Muto if I won that raffle! Even if it was against the Mimic, he dueled just like Yugi Muto!"
Suddenly all of the Academy were agreeing and congratulate Draco for earning the cards. Draco looked over back to Yugi, who was still holding the cards out and smiled at the young student. Draco returned the smile and took hold of the cards, "Thank you, Yugi Muto." He said, "I'll take good care of these cards."
"That I have no doubt!" Yugi chuckled.
"However," the Chancellor spoke up, "there is still the matter of Dimitri stealing the deck."
"Chancellor, if I may?" Draco spoke up, getting his attention, "Dimitri is like any of us at the Academy. He wants to be a great Duelist like Yugi, though he went at the wrong way." Dimitri flinched at the statement, "I think having him on a Dueling Probation is punishment enough. He doesn't have a deck of his own so he can't duel for a while."
"Hmm." Sheppard thought his over, before looking at the two boys, "Very well. Dimitri, for a month you are not allowed to buy any cards from our card shop, and you can't duel anyone, if you break this condition, you will be expelled from the Academy."
"I understand, Sir." Dimitri said, the Chancellor than looked at the rest of the student body, "And that goes for you lot as well! Knowing Dimitri can't duel for a month, if any of you forces him to duel, You'll share the same punishment!"
'He can be scary sometimes, can he?" Yugi asked.
"First time I've seem him this angry." Draco stated.
Time went on as the large crowd disperse each student returning to their dorms, heading the Slifer Dorm, Draco lets out a loud yawn, "Aw, man." He said, "That duel was tiring." He then pulled his PDA out and noticed the time, "And with it being 3:30 in the morning doesn't help."
"And we still have classes." Mana moaned.
"Aw, man." Syrus added, "I don't think I'll be going to the exhibit at the end of the day. I'll be too tired."
Suddenly, their PDAs all chimed, and they each looked at the screens, "Hey, did you all get a message from the Chancellor?" Draco asked.
"Yup." Chazz replied, "It says, 'Due to recent events, all classes are canceled for the duration of the exhibit.' Guess we don't have class, in five in half hours."
"Oh, thank the Gods!" Draco sighed in relief, "I'm just going to sleep most of the day away."
"Same here." The others said. As they each return to their rooms, Draco helped Syrus to the second bunk before plopping into the bottom bunk and passed out. Meanwhile in a dark realm, "What is taking so long?!" the distorted voice demanded.
"Patience, Boss man." The accented voice replied, "Everyone is nearly in place/ Remember we tried the straightforward approach twice, and tried to establish a base, they all backfired. With is we can get the Keys with ease and reach the end goal in the same day.'
"You are taking too long!" the Demonic voiced roared, "I would have my revenge, the keys, and the Souls of who he cares about by now!"
"You need to remember one thing." The second distorted voice spoke, "He has powers connected to the Spirit World while yours is the Shadow Realm, the dark powers of the Spirit World. He can outmatch you by using his Spirit Powers with the Shadow Charm hie possesses."
"They grow impatience." The first distorted voice stated, "With three Locks already open, they long for the freedom they crave."
"They'll get it." The accented voice replied, "I know it's been a few weeks, but once we are in place the Keys will be ours."
(Author's Note: Well, this took a while. Thank you all for being patience, and kind reviews. I had a lot of scenarios going in my head for how this chapter could have gone, so I had to deal with many Writer's Block along the way. Anyways the next chapter will take time, but I will work on it when I have the time. Plus, I bet you all can guess who is coming up as the next Shadow Rider.)
