Morning rose as the storm finally stopped. Danny opened his eyes and looked around. He then turns to see Harp still sleeping, mumbling once again.
"Our chick will grow up strong." She said, pulling him close.
Danny sighs. He could not blame Harp for anything of those dreams. She did confess to him last night, and honestly, he didn't mind her all that much. He did wonder what dating a Harpy would be like.
He shook his head, knowing that they needed to keep moving.
"Harp? Wake up. We need to go." He said, trying to shake her awake.
"Can't leave our chick, too young," Harp said, pulling Danny close to her.
Danny sighs again. He decides to try something that he's heard of couples doing if they were still asleep. He reaches over and kisses Harp. Harp kissed back, causing her to wake up.
"Morning, husband." She said, after breaking the kiss.
"Good Morning, Harp. We need to move out." He said, causing the Ghost Harpy to blink.
"Oh, it was a dream." She said, once her mind caught up.
"You really want a family, huh?" Danny asked, getting up.
"Err, yes, I guess so." Harp blushed.
"Even if I could, I'm too young to be a father, Harp. Plus, I don't know if I could even visit after I save my family." Danny said, still unsure.
Harp looked a little sad but stood up anyways. She stretch out her wings before shaking any feathers off her that were loose. She grabbed her clothes and put them on.
"I take it your father taught you how to get dressed?" Danny asked.
"Mother did, actually. All harpies learn from humans and were passed down through generations." Harp said.
"I see," Danny said, looking outside.
"Well, the rain stopped. And since we're flying this time, it will take us a few more days to reach the Armed Harpies." Danny said.
"Dany won't kill them, right?" Harp asked.
"Oh, I never kill anyone with these powers. I use them to stop other ghosts from hurting people and to save them. I follow my own code. I do not kill." Danny said.
Harp nodded, testing out her wings.
"Looks like I'm healed from the Wolf Attack." She said, causing Danny to nod.
"Alright, let's head out," Danny said, turning into his ghost form.
They both flew out of the cave, Danny still worried about his family.
Meanwhile,
The Queen panted as she looks down at her new daughter. Jazz has forgotten everything about being a human. She has yet to gain her wings, but her arms and legs have entirely changed. She was sucking on her breast like a newborn chick, making the Queen smile.
"At last, welcome to our flock, my dear daughter." She said, holding her close.
"M-Mother." Jazz said, hugging her.
The Queen smiles. She still needs her wings, but Jazz is finally hers. All she needed now was the boy, and her future was set.
"Come, it's time to meet your flock." She said, picking her up.
The Queen steps out of the cave as many harpies bow to her.
"My people! At long last, you have your princess. She still needs her wings, but I decided it's time for her to learn about her flock." She said, causing money to cheer.
"First, were the woman that came with her?" The Queen asked.
"My queen," Maddie said, no longer human and no longer the person she was.
Jazz looked at the harpy, finding her familiar, but shook her head.
"Come, my dear daughter, there's more to see in our kingdom." The Queen said, carrying her through the flock.
She showed Jazz many things about the flock, things she will one day rule over. She was then taken to a different place, a place that had lots of moaning, and screams.
"And this is where we keep our mates. Sadly, Male Harpies live on the other side of the world and we have to mate with humans to keep our flock going." She said, hearing a harpy scream in pleasure.
"Are they okay?" Jazz asked.
"Yes, we keep them fed and healthy so that they can bear us many eggs." The Queen said.
However, Jazz kept her head at one door that stood out to her. She carefully climbs out of her mother's arms and walks towards the door. She peeks inside and saw a huge man, looking like he had all but given up. He then looks ups and notices Jazz.
"P-Princess?" He asked, sounding broken.
"I see you notice our latest catch. He's still being ripped, but many Harpies found him to be lots of fun." The queen said.
However, Jazz grew angry. She wasn't why, but there was something about this man that made her mad.
"I don't know why, but I never want to see this man again!" She said, surprising the queen.
"Oh? Why's that?" The Queen asked.
"There's something about him, that makes me think that he never focuses on anything other than the things he cares about! All he cared about was, Ghost this and Ghost that, not knowing that some ghosts were not evil!" Jazz screams.
The Queen listens, seeing that some of her human identity still remains. However, it was clear that she held some anger over the human father, though she didn't know why anymore.
The Queen knees down, pulling Jazz into a kiss. Jazz calm down and return it.
"Come, we've seen enough for today." She said, picking her up.
Jazz nods before sucking on her breasts again. No longer the person she once was.
With Danny and Harp,
The two flew through the air, far out of reach from any wolves. Danny felt his stomach growl and knew he had to eat.
"Hey, Harp? Let's land. I'm getting hungry." Danny told her.
"Alright. Already found a place to rest!" She said, leading Danny towards a cliffside.
They landed and started to eat. Danny was able to start a fire to cook some of the fish he had while giving a few to Harp. Danny sat down, sighing. He was still worried about his family. He was afraid of what would happen if he couldn't save them. Harp notices and sat next to him.
"Danny? Are you scared?" Harp asked.
"For my family. I'm trying not to think about it, but your mother told me that there was no way to change them back. But I want to hold on to the belief that there is. There has to be a way." Danny said, sighing.
Harp looks sad before placing a wing over his shoulders. She started to sing, making Danny listen and feel a bit better. Once she stopped, Danny was looking at her, smiling.
"Thanks, Harp." He said, making her smile as well.
"You're welcome. I'll help you in any way possible. Even if we can change your family back, you're welcome to stay with my flock." Harp said, struggling close to him.
"Even if I could, I can't leave Amity Park alone forever. The Ghosts will find a way out and try to draw me away from you. I can't let anyone get hurt." Danny said, sighing.
"Then, I'll go with you!" Harp said, surprising him.
"Danny is Harp's friend! And friends help each other!" Harp added, looking ready for anything.
Danny chuckles, seeing how much Harp reminded him of himself.
"It will take the people some time to get used to you. Plus, with your colors, some might think you are a ghost yourself." Danny said.
"Well, the others do call me the Ghost Harpy," Harp said, blushing a bit.
"They do? Why?" Danny asked.
"Well, I can take off without making a single sound of my wings, and I can disappear in pitch-black darkness like I was never there. Some don't even hear me flying." Harp said.
That causes Danny to notice the times she did do those things. Every time Harp took off, he didn't hear her flap her wings once. And while they were flying, he didn't hear her at all, like she was never there. And back with her flock, Danny would notice that Harp had fully disappeared before stepping out of the shadows, like she was a ghost. If it wasn't for his Ghost Sense never going off, he could have thought that she was a ghost.
Danny notices the fish was almost done and check on them. He grabs the first fish and ate it.
"And I don't think I can spend the rest of my life eating fish." He said, making Harp laugh.
She struggles close to him, causing Danny to wrap an arm around her. Danny wasn't sure if he could leave his home behind, but he was glad that Harp was going to help him save his family. Harp leads on his shoulder, feeling what her mother did when she meet her father. Maybe, he could be her mate after all.
And I'm stopping here for now. Well, Danny and Harp are still continuing their journey, but it seems they are too late, Jazz and Maddie are no longer the people they were, and Maddie has fully transformed. Jazz is still missing her wings, but she's now part of the Armed Harpies. I did use SargentEpsilon's idea a little bit, but not all of it as Jazz could barely remember anything about her human life.
Now, they are getting closer to the Armed Harpy Territory and I would like to finish Queen's backstory as well as Danny's and Harp's story. So I leave the next chapter to you, the readers. Should I finish Queen's back story or have Danny and Harp mate? I'll wait until Friday for the answer. Whichever has the most answers, will be the next chapter.
