Title: Two times someone made hot cocoa for Boba and one time he made it for someone else.
Characters: Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Zam Wesell, and Fennec Shand.
1.
Five year old Boba knew he was in trouble. He had left the apartment to explore Tipoca City, and on Life Day of all days. His father was going to be furious. He had briefly gotten himself lost and ended up outside, so when he finally got home he was soaked. As expected his father was there when he entered, and he did indeed look furious. "What were you thinking!" Jango shouted, "Do you have any idea what could have happened to you!?" Boba hung his head as his father continued to lecture him on all the things that could have happened to him and the consequences of not following the rules that were set for him. Only once the rant was over did Boba dare meet his father's gaze, "Do you understand?" he asked seriously, "Yes sir." Boba said quietly. His father nodded, "Good, go dry off and change." Boba hurried to his room and did just that. When he returned he saw a steaming mug of something light brown that had something white and puffy floating on top. "It's an old Mandalorian recipe called hot cocoa, that white thing is a marshmallow." his father said. Boba took a hesitant sip, then a slightly larger one. He liked this 'Hot Cocoa' stuff. "Happy Life Day, son." his father said, and Boba could only smile.
2.
Eight year old Boba stared sulkily out the window, he had begged his father not to leave, but no luck. Jango had taken some pity on him and asked family friend Zam Wesell to stay with him. She watched Boba sit by the window, he had been sulking for almost two hours, and she was going to do something about it. Then she got an idea and hurried to the kitchen. Boba had heard noises in the kitchen for a few minutes but didn't bother to look to see what Zam was doing until he smelled something familiar. Hot cocoa, he thought and turned around to see Zam, now with two mugs, come to sit on the couch. He sat down next her and took the second mug. He sipped it, "It's good, how do you know how to make it?" he asked. Zam smiled, "Your father has made it for me once or twice. I watched him and memorized what he did." Boba nodded and he and Zam spent the rest of the afternoon sipping cocoa and reading Life Day stories.

Things had gone wrong. Boba and Fennec had traveled to a cold planet, and there had been a small accident. Fennec had ended up very briefly buried beneath some snow, Boba had gotten her out in about a minutes time, but she insisted that she was cold. It wasn't a lie, she had been shivering when he pulled her out. He took her back to the ship and let her change into dry clothes while he grabbed some ingredients he had stashed away for an emergency. Fennec came back in dressed in a black long sleeve tunic, black leggings, and black boots. She sat down in one of the seats as he heated up some water. Boba carefully mixed the ingredients together and found two mugs for them to drink out of.
Boba approached Fennec and draped a blanket over her shoulders then handed her one of the mugs before taking the other for himself and sitting down. She eyed the drink warily, "Don't worry," Boba said, "I'm not trying to poison you." Fennec gave him a look then took a small sip, then another slightly larger one. "It's good." she stated, sounding almost impressed. He smiled and said, "Happy Life Day, Fennec" "Yeah," she said, "It is." then she smiled, and that smile was all that Boba could've ever wanted for Life Day that year.
A/N: I promised myself that I'd do this, so I'm doing it. I don't know if anybody other than myself is going to care, but thats fine. If you are interested I'm basically just going to write random one-shots inspired by promts that I wrote. I'll do my best to update everyday, except on Saturdays. I do plan to post chapters on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well.
