Joey slowly rock her baby daughter in her arms. She didn't say a word in fear she will wake up the screaming sick toddler again.
Ella haven't been feeling good since she woke up. She had a 99 fever and Joey did everything she could to get the little girl to stop screaming. After a little bit on Tylenol and rocking in her. Joey finally found a way to get her to stop. But what Joey could really tell what Ella needed was her daddy, who had been at work all day.
Pacey walked in and close the door behind him quietly. Joey called him a little while ago while crying over how Ella is sick and she will not stop crying.
When he walked into Ella's bedroom he could see Joey's eyes were closed and so were Ella's. He quietly kissed the top of Joey's head who was still shushing the baby to stay asleep.
"She still isn't feeling well?" Pacey said as he softly touch his daughter's head. Joey shook her head.
"Here let me rock her, Jo. You look exhausted."
"I can handle her, Pacey."
Ella then moved and started to cry a little which shortly then turned into screams again.
"I can't do this, again Pacey. I'm so tired." Joey said as she got up and hand Ella to her who without a word took from Joey's arms. Ella's little arms wrapped around his neck on one side while Joey was on the other.
"Let's just turned on the television. She likes to watch Ariel."
"Ok, I guess."
The two turned on the television and started to play Ariel as the movie went on Ella's cries got quiet as Pacey laid down with Ella on his right and Joey on his left.
Pacey's smile got bigger as he looked at his wife who was stunned by this. Pacey's hand went to his daughter's stomach and rubbed it gently while he turned his head to kissed his wife's lips.
"She just needed to be distracted for a bit."
"I guess so." Joey said as she took his left hand and kissed it. "First day with a sick toddler, probably many more to go."
